What a cool theater! And no reserved seating, which is a plus for us. The memorabilia really adds to the atmosphere, and the staff is friendly. Also, the process are reasonable, and to top it off, it's an independent theater. Very excited to have this in our area and looking forward to seeing more here.

The first thing you have to keep in mind is that this is a locally owned theater, not part of a big chain. So it isn't flashy and sometimes even seems a little dingy. Except for the bathrooms. I don't think I've ever seen such well maintained bathrooms in a movie theater. For the most part, the staff is friendly, in your typical teenagers-that-don't-really-want-to-work kind of way. They don't usually go out of their way to be helpful, but they are not nasty or anything like that. That being said, it really is a great place with a family friendly atmosphere. The theaters are comfortable with great visual and audio systems. The reclining seats in some of the theaters are fantastic! And we love being able to pick out seats and pre-order tickets online.

Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Theaters are very clean, no sticky floors or lumpy seats which is a pleasant surprise for a well used theater. Prices are reasonable unlike most newer theaters. Has a few theaters with "pick your seat" options, in which you watch your film from a comfortable recliner. My usual go-to theater.

Awesome Summer Oldies Series! Just $3.. to see old movies..Also once a week they show kid movies. Like The Goonies, Land Before Time, Toy Story etc etc..etc.. Tonight I saw Jurassic Park #1 Hey and they pop fresh popcorn too! However, the price for Large Soda $5.50 Jumbo popcorn $8.50 Thats a Dbl Yikes!!

This theater is one of my favorites. The theater is clean and the seats are very comfortable. The movies that they show are the most recent ones out and at very reasonable prices. There is a VIP section that allows you to have very comfortable and reclining seating. You can order your tickets online with a very minimal service charge. Typically, the theater is not too crowded which makes it easy to find the seats that you want. Give them a try.

Moviegoing hasn’t been enjoyable for years, but this was worst than most. Who cares about cell phones ruining a movie when a movie theater’s staff lets people bring toddlers into essentially a horror movie who scream and talk the entire movie. The lights weren’t dimmed for the movie either, and the bathrooms suck too. The previews were short though... I guess that a single positive note.

At some points in the year, I take vacation days off of work to visit my parents and friends in New Jersey. When I'm back in New Jersey, I come here to watch movies with my friends. This place, while more expensive than I'm used to in Virginia, is pretty good. I just think that, for the price, the screens are a bit small. For example, I saw Rogue One recently at a theatre in Washington, D.C., and then watched it again here, and the screen here was about half the size, but I had to pay 2 dollars more.

Saw a movie in the new VIP theater. The seats are fantastic. Seats recline and have foot rest controlled by power buttons on the oversized arm rests. Lots of leg room. Best movie seats I have ever say in. Lighting effest on the walls were syncronized to enhance the movie. The Picture quality was first rate and the sound system was as good as it gets.

Ok movie theater. Please avoid VIP shows with upgraded seats. The reclining seats are really bad. I got a neck pain just sitting there. AMC dining-in theaters are better are by a long distance.

Thought this was a nice cinema. Plenty of parking, in a rural setting, and nice staff. Laid back atmosphere here. Arcade, lots of movies and showtimes and reasonably priced. We enjoyed seeing a movie at this location. It was our first time and since it is close to our family members, we most likely will be returning! ; )

Not a horrible theater. Not as modern as the rest of them in the general area. Last I went, the seats weren’t that comfy and the air conditioning was non/existent. Prices in the stand are reasonable though so that kind of makes up for it if you want to have some popcorn and a soda.

I go here a lot because it's convenient. However, last time we went to a 7:15 PM show it didn't start until 7:45. Previews didn't start until 7:35. Also, the last time we went to this theater we were not allowed to see the movie advertised. The theater was shut down due to construction. You would think they would put that on their website or something. These guys are asleep at the wheel, we've had much better service at other movie theaters.

*I want to update my review as I have been back several times since I wrote it and the bathrooms have been stocked, the fountain drinks and popcorn no longer have a strange taste, and the staff continues to be friendly and helpful. Sometimes the soft drinks have a chemical taste and the popcorn is hit or miss as well. Bathrooms sometimes lack soap and they forget to turn the lights off in the theater at times. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Prices are good compared to other theaters in the area.

I usually don't go here. The popcorn is not always fresh. The cinema rooms can be cleaner, and the concession stand area really needs a deep cleaning. My daughter got lice twice here so we cover the chairs when we go here which is not often.

Hillsborough Movie Theater is my "go to" theater...easy for me to tet to...Clean, Roomy Seating...However, I do resent paying to get in and have to sit through several commercials! I wonder if the advertisers reap as much business as it costs them to put it on! Rather pay an extra $ and not sit through those commercials!

I saw Jurassic park today July 22 at about 1:30. The concession guy was great but the girl taking the tickets had a bad attitude. She didn't feel like saying hi back, nor did she want to even look at me after i said hi. She must hate her job, or the people she was surrounded by. I'm leaning toward the people where was surrounded by. Hate will always be noticed. It ruined our experience at our local theater. The hiring manager should be more stringent when hiring employees to deal with the public.

Nice, not too large cinema. Didn't seem too expensive, but they had cool decor. We went at a really off-peak time, and we practically had the theater to ourselves, an awesome change of pace. Probably because it is a smaller theater, it didn't have eardrum-crushing sound during action scenes. They had velcro-bottomed booster seats for kids. I would definitely go back.

There "luxury recliners" are quite comfortable. A thank you to the manager who made my experience a positive one. Unfortunately, I had a issue where the cleanup crew didn't do their job, but the manager gave me what I felt was very fair compensation - and an apology, no excuses. Thank you again young lady.

Small multi theater complex. You can actually hear the sound from the adjacent theater so the sound proofing is not great. It was clean, snacks were available but the warming machine was down for nachos....With that said I will return. It was convenient to where I am staying and something to do on a weeknight.

I have been going to this theatre for years now and it has always stayed the same AWESOME cinema. This place is always clean, the screening and sound is nice. Plus, it is never too crowded! We always get great seats. This place is amazing. The prices of the snacks and tickets are great plus, the popcorn and other snacks are amazing too! Just when you walk in, you can smell the delicious aroma of the popcorn. This place is the BEST MOVIE THEATRE EVER! (I really recommend this place) ☺

I love the decor of this movie Hall. There are so many artifacts from so many different movies including ET, Terminator, Superman, alien, King Kong, planet of the apes. Don't miss any of them after you finish your movie. The props are made in exquisite detail. This movie is definitely old and I'm afraid it's either going to get bought out by someone else and then completely redone in which case all these cops will be gone or it will just close down. That being said some of the Halls have nice reclining chairs while others have more traditional cloth-based chairs with springs to lean back. The screens are decent; the sound is fine; no reasons to complain and you will certainly enjoy your movie here.

Customer service is ideal, the smell when you walk in just smells like very tasty popcorn and it is! The lobby type area when you walk in has a small acrade on one side and the counter for food/drinks on the other. There are theaters in this place with recliners and others with standard seating with great amounts of cushion so there's no back or tailbone pain during the movies. This is my go-to place to watch movies!

Very laid back movie theater. Never too crowded. Now has reserved seating theater which is great. Just took advantage of it for opening weekend of Black Panther with no issues. Popcorn isn't great, but I've had worse. Plenty of parking. Bathrooms are a bit small and quickly get packed after a showing. Overall, a great theater and a nice one to use for those busy weekends.

Gotta love the VIP seating! Not being crammed in with other people like sardines AND the seats are awesome recliners? Haven't used another theater since, as you're paying for the seats and not an outrageously overpriced dining scheme. Btw, who the heck needs a full dinner service at the movies anyway? That's what restaurants are for, and they don't overcharge for smaller portions

Clean theatres. Stadium seating. Purchasing tickets ahead of time is great with Dealflicks. Entry into main lobby was confusing- no one was at the front desk where tickets are sold. Three employees who were working the snacks helped us to confirm tickets and get us food.

Always an amazing experience. The staff is amazing and the prices can't be beat!! We especially enjoy the VIP theaters. A great theater! On April 28th we went to this location to see the Avengers movie. We got some snacks (large popcorn and large soda). As i turned and walked down the counter, an idiotic teen walked right into me and caused me to spill both on the floor. The staff immediately replaced what had been spilled and was super thankful when I tried to clean up the mess. I wish I had gotten the name of the young man behind the counter because he was truly amazing. Can't wait to go back again soon!

I have grown up hanging out with friends at this theater and have watched it grow over the years. Ticket prices are pretty reasonable, though there are more and more 3D showings nowadays which bring up the price. The refillable buckets are definitely the way to go and the popcorn is delicious. The newest feature is the reclining and more comfortable "VIP" seating. These seats are only available for certain showings, but they offer a more comfortable viewing experience as well as a nice bonus of being able to choose your seating ahead of time. Not sure they're worth the extra cost for some movies, but if the movie is one you are sure to enjoy, definitely consider it!

Hillsborough Cinemas is my go-to movie theater. They always have a wide variety of movies to choose from at many convenient times. I also like that they have online ticketing now, as well as the remodeled two theaters with comfy recliners. I'm knocking off a star because the popcorn is too expensive.

Personally, I would have to say that I like the small theater feel compared to the big theaters like AMC. Been coming her for years , they show every movie out in normal theaters at a way better price. Tickets range from 11 to 13 bucks and you're getting one of those newer recliner chairs that makes the movie experience so much better. Love this theater!
