Great movie. Theater needs a good cleaning. Walked into theater and first visual was of an overflowing garbage barrel. Drink holders were sticky. What a mess and the theater was cold to the point where it felt warmer outdoors rather than in theater #1.

This is the worst movie theater in NJ, possibly the country. Every time I go there is either no heat or no AC. And they don't tell you this when you buy the tickets. It shows good movies, but you are either too cold or hot depending on the season....

Went there for 80th anniversary of The Wizard of OZ on Jan 27 2019, kind of disappointed at the high prices of admission $13.33 for all ages, and the concession stand. $5.19 for a standard bottle of water? But besides that, the movie has been remastered, and played in IMAX and 3D over the years but not at the cranford theater. Very low quality, and no surround sound at all. I'm looking at rows of speakers along the walls, but the only one you can hear is behind the screen. The when the movie ends, nobody turns on the lights, so all those 3-5 year old are tripping and parents with their cell phone flash lights guided us all out even after the very short credits finished rolling. 3 stars only because my 4 year old and I love that movie so much. I hate giving bad reviews but I like bad business models even less. Comon man.!

Located in Cranford NJ showing Independent films as well as others. Reminiscent of the Paris or Angelika in NYC in terms of selection. Friendly staff, small theaters, neighborhood feel. Although the screens are a bit small for today's standards and seating could use an update. However, there are few theaters in this area with such a fine selection of films. Street Parking is usually fine. Easy area to walk around and there are restaurants right across the street.

This place is amazing for independing movies and foreign movies.......all those so huge movies that are playing on AMC or other big cinemas, you will not really see these movies play here. This is why ii love it , you get to enjoy amazing movies from other countries. The environment is great, you will barely see kids or teens in here. Mostly adult or seniors.

This is a small local theater. No stadium seating or fancy snacks, though they have upgraded the sound recently. The big draw for this theater is the location right in downtown Cranford and the selection of films. This theater shows smaller and independent films instead of the same set of films every giant chain shows. A lot of what shows here, you'd have to head into New York for otherwise.

Very great and cozy place. It so not so fancy or so crowded , the good thing about this place is located in a very nice street with so many great and special local restaurants and coffee, you can spent a very nice dinner and movie night a round there. It is a walkable street , you just good by walking around those street. And it wasn't expensive the ticket was $12 .

I love it here. My little hometown theater... all other reviews are probably just people coming from AMCs. It's a typical vaudeville house turned small little digiplex (I'm assuming). Perfect for a date night or night with the kids, and you CAN'T beat $5 movie Tuesday.

A tiny movie theatre, I was actually surprisingly fond of this venue. It brings me back to older times, it has the presence of a cinema from decades ago. Good popcorn of course, and the soda is always poppin, that being said (as all movie theatres are) any sort of food or drink is outrageously expensive. They offer a random sort of variety of movies, but I had a great time watching Spirited Away, an older film but a great one. Definitely recommend this place to others.

I like this theater a lot, but the layout of Theater 5 is kind of weird / bad - the whole center of the theater, which would be prime seating, is a huge aisle. Whenever I see a movie in that specific theater, I always end up getting a seat that's off to the side - I know it would be work, but they should change the layout. It's such a bummer to watch the screen at such an angle.

I grew up going to this movie theater. Plus they are on the list of theatres that work with TCM (Turner Classic Movies). Saw Gone With The Wind there yesterday and the Wizard of Oz last month.

Tickets and food are purchased together which leads to a long slow line. Also the room where we watched the movie was So hot everyone had to take their jackets and sweaters off, it was extremely uncomfortable. This place is going downhill, sad.

A nice change from the multi-plex approach of Mc-cinema. A throwback to the time of neighborhood movie theaters. Could use a little upkeep but thoroughly enjoyed being able to see a non main stream film without having to be assigned a seat or deal with the dine-in nonsense.

This movie theatre is truly what I call a gem of a lovely and welcoming movie theatre. All of what you expect in a modern theatre hers is here with the three D glasses and the state of the art electronic. The chairs here are very comfortable and a joy to sit in for however long your film is. The staff here are very friendly and helpful.

On the plus side, they show excellent films. In the minus side, the theaters are very small and often you can hear movies from the next theater through the walls. But their popcorn is good! I do like a cozy, slightly old-fashioned local theater without having to go to a crazy megaplex. So I recommend it. And Cranford in general is a really cool town with lots of fun restaurants and coffeehouses.

Step in, observe a decent space. There's two sofas on the first floor you enter, in okay condition. You will certainly smell a heavy scent of butter as well. Also has wheelchair access which is nice.

Attended a movie at the Cranford Digiplex today. The theatre was s pigsty. Popcorn was scattered on the floor in the lobby and the hall leading to the theatres. Upon entering our assigned location we were greeted with a large custodial receptical overflowing with trash. The cup holders were soiled and had trash stuffed in them. I have no problem with dated theatres, as all are not going to be as up to date as the large multiplexes, however, there is no excuse for the level of filth I witnessed today.

I went to see a 3D film at this theater. It ended up just being a blurry 2D mess. When I asked for assistance, they said the only 3D theatre was down the hall and was showing another film. "That's just the way the film is going to look." At $13.50 a ticket, that was not cool. When I asked for a refund, I was given one but was only told "sorry you didn't like it." I feel this theatre was trying to get one up on its customers and that is unacceptable.
