The theaters need to be cleaned thoroughly. They are musty and smell moldy. Seats are getting old and leather is torn with padding exposed. I love going to the movies and this is a convenient location. But they seriously need to have the carpets cleaned. The concession area was cleaner this time than when I came last week. Bathrooms were clean. Movie viewing experience was fine. Climate good.

Also with the stubs card they have great discounts on movies and snacks. I just left there about an hr. ago and going again tomorrow.

Probably the best AMC in the Monmouth/Northern Ocean area. Located next to a food court, and there are plenty of sit down restaurants surrounding it. Definitely recommended.

Good movie theatre. Been going since I was a kid and it's was built. Prices however on snacks and sodas are astronomical. I spent more for popcorn and drinks for myself and two kids than I did for us to see a 3D movie.

Love this Theater. Has many movie theaters. They also have the recliner chairs which are good for me with my Rheumatoid Arthritis. The Restrooms are always kept very clean. They also have a very nice snack bar. This AMC is located at Monmouth Mall, Hey 36, Eatontown, NJ.

This movie theater is my go-to. The theaters themselves are amazing with recliner seats and multiple movie formats such as Dolby and IMAX. AMC themselves has an amazing rewards program. I've never had any problems yet with unclean theaters themselves however, while standing in the line for food there's popcorn everywhere. The employees should really clean every hour or so during the day. The floors just look messy all day. The lines (especially for the food) are unnecessarily long and the staff really needs to step it up. But if you get past the lobby, the theater is amazing. It's also not such a big deal if you have friends to have a fun time with in the lobby. Great place!

Went to see the movie MA this morning with the love of my life. The movie was very good, I really enjoyed it.

Get there while you can before it's completely closed and replaced by UPS trucks full of your stuff, or Amazon drones dropping stuff off in the trunk of you're parked car at work (or soon, maybe even your moving car on the way home!!!). Large malls were fun once if you can believe it.

This was our first time here at the AMC theater and I was pleasantly surprised. We pre-purchased our movie tickets and the check in was seamless. The reclining seats were extremely comfy. Although the popcorn was cold we still enjoyed eating it as we watched previews if up coming new movies and our feature show. I would recommend this theater and plan to return again.

We love the new setup here. The tickets are available for purchase online, so the lines are shorter, and the food line was reasonable too. The seats in the theatre were comfy and easy to control (love the lights on the control panel!). Our theatre's volume was a bit loud, but that was ok. And upon leaving we checked out the bathrooms and they were clean. Overall, a nice experience!

I love the premium theaters and reserve seating. The sound is fantastic if the movie you're watching is in one of the branded theaters such as IMAX or Dolby. However, I would like to see this place upgrade its sound on the regular theaters.

super honest review- the staff is wonderful. We were idiots and bought tickets for the wrong movie, went to guest services hoping they could possibly help and the woman there was more than happy to help. She was so patient and kind and fixed our silly mistake that apparently happens often. Customer service gets 5 stars stars but the cleanliness of the theatre and bathrooms was sub par. Popcorn all over the ground before the movie started, finger prints all over the glass dividers separating the levels in the theatre, and gummy bears on the floors in the bathroom that I saw before and after the movie. Makes me think about how clean my seat was. We loved the movie and had a nice experience with the staff but think they should clean up a bit.

Every time we have ever taken a chance on this theater it's been nothing short of disgusting. Our last visit which will be our finaly, we prepurchased our tickets so the 4 of us could sit together. After we arrived for the show, we found out they switched theaters and split us all up.

I liked this theater because it’s the first one I went to where they give you your cup and you can go and fill it with whatever beverage you like, to include frozen Icees. They also sold a mega 1.5 lb pretzel that had my Husband and I a little tickled when we saw it (we were tempted, but we passed on getting it though.

UPDATE 12/30: Finally went to see a movie here and I did not like the recliners at all. They put you in a weird position that didnt go all the way back and the buttons were a little confusing at first. Most likely wont be back to see another movie. The couple next to use was drinking wine and I had to smell that through the ENTIRE movie. Stale red wine is not appealing in the least. ORIGINAL POST: This place was huge. We didn't go see a movie but explored the mall. The food was amazing and they have this cool flight simulator which was a blast. It's $17 per ride but fits two ppl. It's only 3 minutes long which is disappointing but it does feel a lot longer once you're in there.

The adjustable seats in the movie theaters are the best. The popcorn and the selections of drinks are delicious. After a movie you could go to a mall and maybe buy something.

Great to rediscover the movies after many years of watching DVD's etc. at home. The monthly program (AMC Stubs Alist) is a solid value, as long as you plan to go at least 2-3 times per month, and the selection of movies is hard to beat. We appreciate the simple and user-friendly on-line booking system, and the comfort of the new adjustable media seats. The only issues which take away the 5th star are the high prices at the concession stand and the somewhat worn upholstery of the most popular seats in the theaters. The bathroom could also benefit from some attention, but overall the facility is cheerful and welcoming. The staff are also well trained and very personable for the most part, which I give AMC a lot of credit for, since they work a long day and deal with a wide range of humanity in the course of the day. Recommended!

Good as always, but the seats in the imax are looking really used with torn upholstery. I would love for AMC to upgrade those, but would also expect the customers to take better care and more responsibility about this shared space.

We used to frequent this amc quite often but having a change of heart. For the last six months the place is filthy. You date not go to the refreshment area. Slurpee all over the counters along with butter and popcorn. The floors in the lobby full of popcorn and the employees which are all teenagers are standing around talking and not doing any clean up. Not to mention the bathrooms are disgusting! I won’t go back unless they’re showing something in IMAX.

They condone young teenagers loitering in the theater, you have to try multiple soda machines to get the exact one you want, A-list and premiere members don’t get priority even though there’s a separate line for them, and they hassled my girlfriend to show her ticket on the app again when she left the auditorium to get popcorn. I only keep coming here because it’s the closest Dolby Cinema to me and I love the experience of it.

The movie theater has undergone a complete renovation that allows you to reserve your seats, which is great when we want to see a movie during its release weekend. The concessions have been upgraded to include more self serve options. Best reasons to watch your movies here are the reclining theater chairs and nice staff members.

As soon as I walked toward the theater I noticed how disgusting the windows were with hand prints and finger prints (became thick fog). As I walked through the doors popcorn was everywhere on the floor. The drink station had soda spilled on the counter tops there weren't any available napkins and no available tops for the slush drinks. We asked the concession employee and he looked overwhelmed and couldn't help us. We paid too much money to attend the local theater and experience uncleanliness!

Bought tickets for me and my three kids to see matinee at the Dolby Digital Theater. Bought on fandango early morning for movie at noon on rainy day. They were over $70 with taxes and fees. Seats were comfy. Sound and picture quality great. Unfortunately AMC is so $ hungry they have a first row about 8 feet from the screen - way in front and below an elevated walkway for handicap seats. Completely horrendous experience. Screen is too loud and too good quality to sit this close. Whole family left w headaches. Tickets for this row should be discounted.

Fancy seats but all beat up. Pleather on seats ripped up, worn, bad shape. Some seats have trash cans "sitting" on them. Not sure if broken or roof leaks. Either way should not be common. Bathrooms full of broken stuff too. Yeah bags covering things rather than proper out of service signs or just getting fixed. Not up to AMC standards. But same expensive AMC prices.

Very nice movie theater for attending solo, with friends or bringing the family. The employees are cordial and helpful, but not overbearing. The theaters are clean with nice, comfortable reclining seats. Buying snacks, however, have been pretty drawn out, even with a short line in my experience... but a minor issue for me.

I go to AMCs all across the north east, but I have to say, this is one of the more consistent ones. Lots of kiosks to pick up tickets, comfortable IMAX theaters, and the projectors aren't messed up like in New Brunswick and East Brunswick. On top of that, good customer service and lots of showings / available seating, even somehow at the 11th hour. Next time you want a dependable movie-going experience in Central Jersey, go here!

I love this movie theater. They're reasonably priced as far as movies go. They have IMAX and my favorite Dolby vision! I never tend to buy drinks to snacks so I cant comment on that portion and I use the kiosk to buy my ticket so I rarely interact with the employees. But overall its clean and has a lot to offer as far as viewing options.

Recently came here to watch a movie. About half way through the movie, I started scratching my left arm and left leg. It felt like a bug bit me. After the movie, when I can see where I was scratching, it certainly was a bug bite. After two days, the bug bite became swollen, hot, and red. I had to go to the emergency room and got treated. Be careful going to this movie theater. I wouldn’t go back after this experience.

I had loved this theater until summer of 2019, told I could not wait in lobby and was forced to wait outside, in the rain, at midnight for an hour. I wasn’t even allowed to use the bathroom. Never will want to come here again.

The theaters are good. Some seats are not so comfortable. Just hope that you are lucky enough to get a decent one. The seat I had was missing the cup holder and I almost lost my drink. The concession stand is what it is. $13 for popcorn, and soda.

Did not have any agents open, couldn't get machine to work, long line in customer service, ended up late for movie! The agent, was very nice when I got to her, she did tell me it was just starting but I had 2 small children who really wanted to see movie so it wasn't a big deal to them! When you're paying so much to see movie you should be able to get better service. The refreshment stand person was very nice.

Last night my husband wanted to take my daughter to the movies. The AMC theatet near my house had no seats so he said he would drive to Monmouth Mall. (7:45pm shows) I bought seats in advance and paid $41.00 for 2 adult tickets!!!! Not counting snacks. The seats were over $17 a ticket alone. same movie in my theater at same time was $13. Why is Monmouth mall charging so much!!! I didn't tell him the cost and just bought them. He text me from theater to tell me the seats don't recline. They're nice....but don't recline. So again I ask...over $17 a ticket for what?!! I can't even imagine a young teen who wants to take a date out. How are kids ever suppose to afford a simple movie anymore. Disgusted. Never again.

Overall it’s OK. But when I came with my family on movie - realized that ALL our seats were broken!! Of course the others seats had been occupied and we sat down at the end of row. Weekend was trashed. I was very disappointed. Auditorium 14. seats from h10 to h14.

There is about 12 theaters here. It is located in a Major mall and is at the intersection of 2 major roads. It is only about 5 minutes from exit 105 on the Garden State Parkway. They have the power recliners. It has its own entrance and an entrance into the Mall as well.

As an AMC stubs A-list member, I spend a lot of time at this theater. My experiences have all been pleasant. The staff seem friendly and helpful, no matter what time of day I visit. The bathrooms are always clean. The concessions always taste fresh, and the lines move efficiently. The only downsides to this theater are that the bathrooms are outside of where they check your tickets (a farther walk than other theaters if I need to take my daughter to the bathroom in the middle of the movie) and I've noticed some of the seats in the IMAX theater are in pretty bad shape. Neither of these would ever deter me from visiting, however.

AMC MONMOUTH MALL is one of the best experience now with even more props it's called the A-List where you can watch up to 3 movies a week all for free for only 19.99 a month however to receive the A-List you must go to AMC.COM it's well worth the price. With out it I-Max is 14$ the Dolby digital is 16$ the A-List is it enjoy

I was there this past Sunday and the theater was in total disarray. It was filthy disgusting and embarrassing to bring family there. Popcorn and garbage were strewn all over the floor. I’ve never seen a public place like this. One staff member said they didn’t have enough staff. Shame on management for not looking at the weather report and seeing that is was going to rain all day during this holiday weekend. That’s being cheap. After the movie I entered the bathroom and it looked like a toilet paper fight went on in there. Plus no soap in dispensers. I guess employees who handle food don’t have to wash their hands. Manager should be fired.

Movie was good, sound was good but I feel like I need to shower after sitting in those seats for 2 hours. Probably won't return anytime soon, hopefully they replace all their seats.

Concession's stand by soda was absolutely disgusting... Visible mold and mildew and substances on floor with smell... Looked like it had been there awhile...The recliners were ripped and there was a mildew smell in theatre also. Would have posted pictures but left phone in car and wasn't going back in rain.

A big group of us - adults and young children - went to see The Lion King In Dolby - we only had the time to go in the morning so we bought tix for the earliest show we could find. SELFISH PEOPLE ALERT: people with the youngest kids also seem to like the earliest show. We were all incredulous that a mom brought a baby (maybe 18 months?) to a 2 hour movie - and proceeded to let the poor baby cry throughout the entire show. I felt awful for the poor kid - the movie was LOUD. It was dark. And the mom could have cared less - she wasn't missing a second of this movie - other people be damned. At one point she got up and everyone thought “oh, thank goodness she’s FINALLY taking this crying kid out of here” but NOPE. She just conveniently (for herself) walked the kid to the front of the theater for a whole new group of people to listen to her screaming toddler. Little tip: of your kid is crying loud enough to have to get up and move - LEAVE the theater. A line of people went to customer service afterwards and everyone got their money back - turns out the employees knew the whole time but anyone is too scared to say anything these days. God forbid people are expected to act right anymore.

It's a place for all ages..Plenty of store to shop,there is a food court iesiichoose from the restaurant to go to.The mall have AMC movies theater that could see different movie .

AMC has gotten so greedy. They're doing all they can to push their own brand (stubs menbership/food) that it feels like they're punishing those of us who don't want to buy in. They don't allow outside food, forcing people to buy their overpriced snacks - which for a theatre attached to a food court, is pretty selfish. Additionally the separate lines for stubs members as if to give the impression of an elite experience when we're all seeing the same movies is just shallow. I get that they're trying to compete with Netflix, but alienating and overcharging their patrons is not how to do it. If you can find another theatre, do it.

The theatre had ripped seats.There were huge ripped holes in the pleather chairs. The concession area was filthy. It had not been swept any time prior to our 6pm visit. The soda area was filled with trash, sticky counters and wrappers everywhere. The bathrooms were beyond disgusting. Toilet paper all over the floors, no soap, paper towels over flowing. Worst of all the stalls appeared to have some sort of dust residue.

In terms of an AMC this is the best one in the area. The screens are well maintained and the auditoriums are clean with stadium style recliners.

IMAX if great, not the other theaters are with and outdated. Most seats are ripped and floors needs serious cleaning. I don't blame the theater as much as the patrons from the surrounding area. Parking can be difficult especially around the holidays.

Restroom was decent. Snack counter person was polite and helpful. Each seat was an individual recliner chair.

The movie was fantastic. The food/snacks were very expensive.

The popcorn is fine, the drinks are fine and food and drink wise everything is fine. However the cleaning aspect is not so good I went there Friday night and there was slushie and popcorn all over the floor and on the tables where the drinks and cup tops are and it was disgusting. They need to improve that but everything else was fine.

Took my mom here and met with my sister. We saw that rich Asian family movie. It was pretty good. Seats are comfortable, staff is kind, food is good, and the quality of the sound/picture is A+. If you're touring around or just looking around town; AMC Monmouth Mall is a great place to start. There's many options for food and shopping along with multiple floors. Enjoy!

My experience at AMC theater was pleasant. No complaints just an observation. I noticed that the beautiful and comfortable recliners are showing serious wear and tear. Several of the covers were ripped and exposed holes. Repairs should be made Asap! This is the reason for the low rating.
