The seats are super comfortable and I love that you can move the arm rest so it's like a big couch. I usually go on Tuesday because tickets are a little cheaper. The staff are super helpful and nice. One time we ordered tickets for the wrong date and they were able to get it resolved and we got to see our movie that night!

Well, for my first time attending this movie theater at this location was awful. When I walked in i thought I would have a nice time. When I looked at the menu it was definitely OVER PRICED! But as I ordered my food it was nothing but a bunch of teenagers standing around doing nothing but talking while a long line started to form. After I order my food I went to the condiments station and I realized that they gave me old food that had been sitting out for god know how long. My chicken was hard as a brick and my Fries were cold and dried up. I went back and asked for some fresh food and they acted like there was a problem with my complaint. Now, after all of that. I am finally able to go and look for my seat. When I finally find my seat I notice that the theater hadn’t been clean. My cup holder was all sticky and gross which I had to clean it. So, while walking to the Bathroom for some paper towels I almost slipped and fell due to the garbage overflowing and whatever liquid spilled near the men’s room caused me to almost fall. What I would suggest is a retraining for all staff members there. I don’t believe in having people lose their jobs but something has to be done. Also, update them comfortable seats. Once I finally settled down and was able to get relaxed I had a wonderful time watching the movie on the BIG screen. But new seats are needed.

Our go-to theater. We buy our tickets on the AMC app. The newer theaters have upgraded seating, but all of them are good. I like to bring a blanket because it can get chilly. Nice staff, they keep the theaters and bathrooms clean, and have the custom soda machine.

Visiting this theater was horrific. The theater was dirty and smelled strange. The food was over priced and all around disgusting. The person at the concession stand was rude and disrespectful. We could hear the movie in the theater next door to us. If that isn’t enough I watched who I assume to be the person in charge at the moment make 2 women ( mother and daughter. Both older) feel so uncomfortable and offended 30 minuted into the movie that the daughter had to put her mom into her wheel chair and left. This was to accommodate people who bought a chair and handicap space from the ticket booth without being informed of what they had bought. It was disgusting and disgraceful to watch that older woman weeping in her chair being wheeled out because management didn’t know how to handle the situation. I would never recommend this place to anyone. The staff was terrible and so was the whole experience. If I could give this place zero or negative stars I would.

My family was invited to a private birthday party at this movie theater. It was very clean and the seats were very comfortable. We never really had any contact with the staff as most of the details were handled before the guests arrived. I think it was nice that they allowed the birthday family to bring in outside food and drinks for the guests attending the party. Although I missed having the movie popcorn.

This theatre is disgusting! On a Saturday evening, popcorn and trash litter every single inch of the theater lobby, soda and juice are splashed and soaking all drink service areas! No employees were seen even attempting to tend to these areas. Then our seat was found with wet sticky remnants of the previous persons drink on the seat, arm and cupholders....just atrocious. Paying $17.50 a seat is premium and we are experiencing well less then average environment. This is terrible.

If the doors lock 15 minutes into the last playing then either make some kind of announcement during the "no talking/no cellphone" preview or have someone stay in the box office area ...Not a theater regular and went to a 10:25 movie alone. Had to go to my car to get a female necessity and could not get back in... all my stuff inside while I banged on the window and doors for over 30 minutes to the point of being in tears. I did get a full refund after demanding one but will never go there at a late show like that again. I get the safety issue and agree but make the necessary adjustments for those who have PAID and may need to run to their car or something...

It is always a disgusting mess. The bathrooms, lobbies, and theater seats are dirty. The teen-aged employees stand around and do nothing. Popcorn is down the seats, and dumped on the floor. The place should be shut down by the health department. For what they charge, it should not be this way. It is simply poor management. AMC has a monopoly in this area and the company does not seem to care. AMC Theaters are generally gross. The Stubs program and discount app only made it worse.

Gotta love the very comfortable reclining chairs! As with almost every theater these days, the movies themselves are grossly overpriced, as are the snacks and drinks. Overall, the theater is kept relatively clean and the employees are generally rather friendly. All in all, this is my top choice of movie theaters in the area.

I've watched many movies here. The whole place is very clean and the staff is very friendly. Other than your usual movie theater stuff (overpriced snacks & drinks), it's good to go. Dont forget to book your tickets on the AMC website to reserve your recliner seat!

This is one of the worst AMCs around. Every time I come here the snack/drink area is filthy. The self serve soda machine always smells too. I’m an A-List member and I don’t understand why this location doesn’t play more movies when movies are released since Deptford is a popular town. It seems you have to go to the Voorhees location which doesn’t even have recliner seats. Also, most times i come people have trouble with their seats not reclining. I often see people need help by staff to get their seat rebooted. Why aren’t staff ensuring that seats are reclining after each movie is over, for the next showing? I try to avoid this location when I can.

Great theater! Make sure you go to Johnny Longhots right across the street in the locust Grove plaza for lunch or dinner after the movie. They've got the best pizza, cheesesteaks and sandwiches around. They've also got ice cream and water ice. Great place!

I go to the movies A LOT and unfortunately this is the only theater I've ever had problems with. Yesterday (12/13/18) was the second time there were issues with getting this movie going correctly and on time. Don't get me wrong, they corrected the situation an hour later and gave us a free movie tickets, but I would have rather gotten out on time as i had to be up at 4:30a the next day.

bought tickets online early the day of the movie. we arrive to the theater and 3 women were in our seats. we kindly asked them if they were in the correct seats and the one woman flew up out of her seat ready to argue with a manager that they needed handicapped seats and were sold seats 7,8,9 at the door. we were 5,6 so what ended up happening was the manager told the woman she was okay to stay there before figuring out that she had been sold one seat and two handicapped spaces for wheelchairs. we had just purchased two seats that happened to be in the handicapped area. the manager compensated us for what happened but i don’t think he handled the situation well at all b/c the woman was wrong. on a separate time, we were in the theater and mid-movie a woman starts to have a heart attack. we all left the theatre as the paramedics were on the way. NONE of the staff stopped people from coming into the theatre, standing in the lines in the middle of the lobby, blocking the doorways or anything. it was unbelievable how poorly the situation was handled. last complaint is in one of the theatres i have been in, the speaker was emitting a low frequency buzz the entire time. once you noticed it was hard to block out. overall it’s nice having a theatre with nice seats close by, but every experience has been awful thus far.

Not very clean- restrooms were out of toilet paper and there was a lot of trash on the floors. There was more toilet paper and trash on the floor than on the dispensers. Lots of staff there standing around which leads to the conclusion that it is poor management decisions and leadership that lets staff neglect their customers and facility. I went at night so who ever was running the show was either not active or has abysmal standards.

My first visit to AMC Deptford 8 was to watch Gremlins in the early 80s. I couldn't tell you how many times I've been there since. I do really love these new chairs and amenities, but the concessions need a lot of work. It's sad to spend $7 on a small bag of fancy popcorn only to discover the popcorn is stale and mixed with flaming hot Cheetos - also stale. Please do better AMC.

I enjoyed a movie here. The staff seemed friendly, the place was pretty clean including the bathrooms, it appeared to be drama free, the area is really nice, the food was fresh and tasty, and the theater was comfortable overall. I’m glad I decided to pay them a visit while I was in the area. If you’re in the area, or are from the area, and are considering catching a movie, this is the go to spot.

The theater we were in (one) had ripped seats at the back of the headrests like someone took a knife to 4 or 5 of them ina row. And our seats had stuff all over them when we went to sit down. I had to go get napkins to wipe them off. Movie was good sound was good.

Went to see The Lion King with my Son and Granddaughter . Didn't know that you need to reserve seats and ended up in the front row. We were still able to enjoy it and the seats were great. Also really loved the popcorn.

This theatre is always clean and the staff is helpful. The cheesy pretzel bites are the best, and I've never had a problem with any movie showing. The double wide seats are really great for cuddling too. Ordering tickets ahead of time speeds up the process, so I don't know how long it would typically take to wait in line at the booth.

I used to go here in high school all the time, always good times! I'm not sure when they renovated but currently they have regular movies 3D movies and an extreme Movie experience wear your seat actually vibrates 2 the movie. Prices are just as good as anywhere else

We visited for a corporate event last week and I was shocked to find out our owner was charged $14/ticket on a Tuesday (normally $6/ticket for the general public.) After spending almost $3K on tickets, employees were charged full-price for concessions. The manager was dismissive & rude, and I'd rather drive 20 minutes to Voorhees than ever patronize Deptford AMC again.

However as some know the one thing to kill the experience are the trashy people with opening up their bag of chips, playing with their phones, and/or talking during the movie. Always someone out their with a lack of respect.

We do not go to theaters in Philly, this is the place to go. The seats are so big and comfortable. You can recline almost all the way back. They also connect so you never have to hold your popcorn since it fits in the middle. The screens are huge and the service is great. Totally worth the 20 minute drive out of the city for me.

This particular theater is okay at best. They are always changing the layout for how to get your snacks, if you end up in the wrong line you have to wait another 10 minutes in the correct line just to order anything. It's a real hassle trying to get in quick because their "quick ticket" machines are all broken. Always arrive 30 minutes before your movie so you'll make it in time before the movie starts. The bathrooms are atrocious, and never have toilet paper. They keep the actual theater rooms a little too warm, to the point it feels humid and sticky halfway through the movie. Save yourself a nightmare and go to a different AMC.

This is our go-to theater. I love the app and I always order our tickets ahead of time so all we have to do is show up a few minutes before the movie starts. And I recently used the app to order food when I purchased our tickets. My family was amazed that they brought our food and drinks to us lol. We recently went to a larger theatre in the area and I realized that I really like this AMC better partly because it is smaller but mostly because the staff here is so much friendlier. So that big theater may have nice new seats, this theater has more of a family atmosphere which is what's important to me.
