Here we offer you all the opinions of real people who use the services of Capitol Center for the Arts (Movie Theater) in New Hampshire.
Right now this firm gets a score of 4.6 stars over 5 and that rating has been based on 584 reviews.
You may have noticed that its rating is practically the top, and it's founded on a large number of scores, so we can think that the score is very credible. If there are many people who bothered to value when they've done well with the service, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to give tatings when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Movie Theater belongs to the category of Concert hall.
This is a really nice space! Cozy, good food, good drinks, fun shows. Very reasonable prices. Parking is a bit of a challenge as it is everywhere downtown and the outdoor lighting could be a bit more prevalant, but these aren't significant detractors.
BEAUTIFUL Broadway play about Carole King. Great evening. Theater was full, everyone had a great evening!
Government Mule great show
Great place for all forms of arts
A very old theater it is in good shape and very well kept the crew behind the scenes does a great job getting this place together and has great entertainment in it my hat goes off to this place for a good time in concord
Nice venue
It was a nice venue. Nice view and acoustics. Staff was ok, but not too friendly.
Friendly staff and always have a great time
Always a great experience at the Capital Center.
Great theater for the area. So many wonderful shows are performed here. Get there early for the best parking. Staff if helpful.
I love this Thearter. Easy parking, good location, nice interior. The only down side, not allot of leg room
It's the best we've got in the area, but it's still so small and vaguely shabby that Nick Offerman was convinced, through his entire show, that he was in the auditorium of a small college.
Amazing show!!
I love the plays on the HDMS field trip
CDB was a good show for this location, seating was great, con: sound system needs help, music to loud and vocal not able to understand most of what was coming from speakers
Wonderful venue, not a bad seat in the house. Concession prices were fair and everyone was helpful.
Great concert, old venue nicely restored.
Very enjoyable event seeing screening of Wrath of Kahn and William Shatner. Just felt like sheep being herded into the photo op. No personal conversation or autographs allowed. For the price paid it would have been to not to feel rushed through the photos.
There are always amazing shows here. They have local legends, dance competition's, comedy... Pretty much whatever kind of show your looking for you can see it here.
Very classy, clean place. The beer stand fills the cups from the bottom but the beer tasted terrible like it was skunky. Great view of the stage. Awesome place, just skip the beer. It was the Sam Adams.
Great for performing arts and independent artists
Just wonderful.. Those men and women of the US Army visit 90 communities in the United States a year. Their were alot it Veterans that Came.It was Very nice , All could not thank them enough.
Great venue with awesome acoustics
Beautifully carved woods, paontis, doors, stained glass windows, kind and helpful staffs..throughly enjoyed every detail of the building. Great location. Will visit again and again.
Great venue a little controlled but not bad great place to see a Jam band
Have a lot of good different shows and is the largest auditorium in this areasome of the prices are a little high for the average family man so you kind of have to pick and choose what you go to
Wonderfully appointed and maintained theatre in the heart of downtown Concord. Comfortable seating and decent acoustics - cozy but not claustrophobic! Close to great restaurants and shopping. A visit to Concord for dinner and a show is highly recommended!
This is a lovely old theater. We saw the Mannheim Steamroller Christmas production here. The acoustics were excellent!
Parking is a bit rough unless you know the area well, but the venue itself is absolutely beautiful!
Awesome that's all I can say
Went to see a show here amd it was awesome. Seats were comfortable, they had a good variety of food, drinks and alcohol. I would definitely go see another show here.
Great show in a nice venue. Recommended
I enjoyed the show with comfortable seats and left not feeling rushed by the crowd. Highly recommended for any event.
Been here dozens of times for concerts, great historical theater. Before shows, there are bar drinks, sometimes pizza slices, always candy and munchies, and they sell tons of bottled water. Shows start strictly on time here, small town residential Main St., so you start & end on time. Being a smaller venue, every seat is great. The only thing "wrong" with the Capitol is that you can't dance, at your seat or along the edge of the walls...they'll tell to sit down. Keep that in mind, if you like to rock out. Great venue, though!
Went to the Tape Face show, what ever you do don't ever wear a black and white striped shirt because he may bring you up like he did with me
Love this place and saw a great show
Old theater. Has lots of charm
Sound of Music was great. We had a handicapped person with us and the one small elevator meant long waits to enter, exit and restroom breaks.
Great show Theatre is nice. As they upgrade, they need to think about new style seating to enhance the experience.
Great concerts there
Great show. Very helpful and nice workers. However the seating in the balcony is horrendous
Amazing shows here. I love the set up.
Great venue and great show. Celtic Women are phenomenal
Nice theater for a small City, safe to walk at night
Nutcracker. Wonderful!
A haven for the arts in Concord. Lot of history, great members program, and the quality of performances being drawn are increasing.
Carole King Musical was excellent !
Great place to see a show. Small venue, big sound
My son and I were just at FINDING NEVERLAND. Everything was fine in the theatre, except...the lack of cool air. It was way, way too warm, and as the theatre filled with people, it became uncomfortably hot...but still no air. My son has a medical condition that makes it hard for his body to regulate its temperature...he was miserable and left at intermission. I stayed and did feel some cool air on and off during Act II, but it was disappointing to feel so uncomfortable during the show.
A nice venue. Easy to find, easy entry. A bit warm inside when full. Great variety of entertainment to choose from.
What an amazing experience for my first time visiting!
Great venue for theatre and live music.
Wonderful theater in the heart of Concord. Gorgeous design inside. Wonderful staff. Old theater feel - so fabulous!
Very nice theater. Seating is limited for people who are handicapped. They do have access for handicap needs. I believe the seating is on the ground floor, though there may be some in the opera seating area. I am not sure as to prices for those, as they were sold out the night I went. I was able to find an aisle seat, which allowed me to keep my knee straight. The theater has an excellent ambiance, and the staff were extremely nice and very helpful. It was a very enjoyable experience.
Went to see Alton Brown's Food Science. The Capitol Center is a great place to see a show. Wonderful service. However, parking there is very difficult. Wish they had valet service
Very pleasant volunteers working the doors, nice atmosphere, bunch of all out great people. Seats a little narrow for a bigger person but for a 2hr show not bad at all. Good time.
Intimate venue, old time charm!
Had another great experience at the Capitol Center. It's such a awesome place to see a concert, not a bad seat in the house and the acoustics are top notch.
Love the retro decor, no"bad" view. However, there's virtually no leg room, not good if you're more than 5' tall.
Place is fantastic ! Serve beer and wine.,pizza and snacks...very historic and great for sound.,intimate !
You can't get a bad seat at this theater! It's just beautiful. The seats may be a bit crowded, but that's not anything different than most theaters, and it really is a great place to see shows. The acoustics are fabulous, and I love being able to purchase a snack and a glass of wine without having to rush to drink it down, while watching and listening to top-notch performances. The whole experience is very nice.
Lovely old venue, the main theater was pleasant and comfortable, good place for an awards show! The best part was seeing the amazing wood work during the after party.
Food was just ok and service was slow.
Fabulous venue. Not a bad seat in the house. Free parking a couple streets down in back. Easy peasy!
It's a great venue, but be aware the seating is very cramped on the balcony seats. You have to turn your knees sideways unless you are unusually short (I am 5'6", by no means a giant). Keep this in mind when deciding whether or not to spring for orchestra seating. Also, be sure you print your tickets ahead of time. "Will call" is always a disaster.
Great venue. Well run. I'll be back.
If you don’t care if everyone around you is on their phone taking photos and posting to Instagram....and if you don’t mind the audience yelling to the performers then you will love Capital Center for the Arts. Many of the ushers didn’t seem to know where the seats were and were so distracting during the opening act...which wasn’t really their fault as there wasn’t any notice to the audience that the show was starting. John Prine was amazing, but the glow of phones, the annoying requests yelled at Mr. Prine in between songs and the people chatting took away from our experience. I definetly will not go back and will be sure to tell people about my experience.
Great place, get a beer they have bottoms up kegs super cool
Nice stage and seating. Good setup for dressing rooms.
Loved this venue. Acoustics were on point. Amos Lee put on an incredible show. Definitely will return!
It was very nice. I Saw a play during which everyone was barefoot and improvised the entire thing! Was lovely!
This was a nice place to go see a concert. An overall small room with a balcony. The Acoustics are pretty good and the seating is generous. They do have service there as far as drinks you can bring back to your seats. The staff is amazing and very helpful. The stage is raised so beware if you get front of the venue seating. We ran into an issue where there were some lighting place too far from the edge of the walls blocked part of our view. Sitting in the second row you shouldn't have to deal with that.
Nice but second row on the balcony was tiny. At 5'10" I had to sit sideways because me knees didn't fit. Also, the arm rests were unusually high.
Outstanding and we'll worth the trip over to it. I have been to many military concerts and this was the best ever. The message portrayed was very moving.
Saw Daughtry, first row of balcony, great seats..dont buy front row, overpriced and they let any seat go to the front...
Small venue for an intimate gathering.
Awesome place..friendly and easy parking. Saw Spamalot
Great events here.
I tritt enjoy the venue, seating and service provided to customers. I am considering becoming a member to help support the arts and the work done at the Capitol Center for the Arts.
Great venue with good shows, worth a visit. Beautiful stage, great location. Have been visiting since the reopen, will keep coming back. Highly recommended if you see a show you want to see. Check it out.
Finding Neverland was a marvelous and joyful experience.
Saw Tape Face. Awesome!
This is an amazing and intimate venue. Great for concerts, speeches, and theatrical productions. It's a true gem in downtown Concord.
Local comedian. Juston McKinney. Great show. Great venue.
Great place with one issue. If you buy seats in the first 20-30 rows be prepared for people leaving their seats and standing in front of you blocking the stage and blocking your views. The theatre never knows how to deal with this even though it happens often. People in the first 20-30 rows get upset because they can't see the stage. If you want to sit and see the act, buy a seat way in the back or on the balcony and enjoy your show.
One of NH's gems! A great place for music or comedy, with outstanding acoustics. One of our favorite places to see a show, and easy to get to. You can also bring your drink to your seat!
Beautiful theatre.
Clean theater, friendly staff, and excellent performances. Concessions leave something to be desired, but they do the trick if you're looking for a little snack during the performance.
Great shows, comfortable, reasonable prices. Enjoy going there
in my experience, this venue always has much higher ticket prices for concerts/events when compared to the same acts on the same tour at similar (small) venues in other regional cities/towns.
I like this venue because it's intimate and every seat is great. They need a cocktail option instead of just wine and beer.
Nice venue. Seats are kinda uncomfortable. Sound system a little junky. We'd go there again.
Nice Place To Go For Concerts The Sound Is Good.
Great venue with super friendly, knowledgeable staff.
I have attended concerts, comedy, workshops and more at the Capitol Center and it continues to impress. The facilities maintain an authentic, classic feel, while still offering a comfortable modern experience. I'm a big fan and make sure to stay up to date on the calendar of events. The pricing also is reasonable and affordable for almost any act. Make sure to check this one out.
Love CCANH. Saw Liz Longley on the Spot Light Cafe. Venue was intimate, acoustics were great. Great show!
Convenient venue, lots of free local parking. Candy, pizza, soda for concessions. Good place to see a show. Lots of food and drink options nearby for before or after show.
Matt and CJ the DJ get to meet Marianne Williamson in Concord NH. She is such a beautiful soul and the event staff were so helpful in accommodating our first road trip since we were in high school. There could be more handicapped parking on the street. #CJtheDJ #MarianneWilliamson #Concord #CapitolCenter #Author #Spiritual
Great shows great atmosphere
Great old theater in which to see a show. Front balcony are great seats
Great venue
I have been going to this venue for years and it has always been a pleasant experience. The CCA is always clean and the staff friendly and helpful. There is a large auditorium and balcony which together offers seating for over 1300 people. There is usually limited food and drinks available whenever I have attended. I am unsure if this is a provision of the facility or provided by the production staff. Either way there is a small concession stand as well as drink and snack vending machines. Several benches are provided along the main approach to the entrance where people can congregate before and after the event as well as during any intermissions. The Capitol Center is an air-conditioned, handicapped accessible facility with an elevator and street level drop off entrance and a limited municipal free parking garage within a 5 to 10 minute walk along Concord's Main St. Which boasts many shops and restaurants along the way. All a visit to New Hampshire's Concord Capitol Center for the Arts is a wonderful way to spend a night "out on town."
Great place to watch a show. Parking is a bit of a chore, but if you're not afraid to walk a little, it's nice exercise.
Great place for a show. Seats on the balcony were pretty tight if you are taller than 5'8"
Good seats and viewing.
Beautiful intimate theatre!! Plus got to see one of my favorite singer/songwriters John Prine on his Tree of Forgiveness Tour 2018
Awesome venue personable not a bad seat in the house, great volunteers and staff really enjoyed the show. A visitor from Wisconsin and found a gem in concord I look forward to the new theater coming in 2019. I'll be back.
Great old theater with lots of charm.... acoustics are good. If you see someone you like coming, don't miss the show
Had balcony seats, they were extremely cramped, my father, brother, and I were extremely uncomfortable due to being wedged into the seats. Would have been fine for children but for slightly taller than average adults, impossible to be comfortable. We would have stood if it wouldn't have interfered with the vote of the people behind us
Not a bad seat in the house.
So many amazing memories here! The only thing that would make it better is some sort of area for children to take a break if needed.
Excellent venue to see a concert or play. Acoustics great -seats great.
Great venue, great shows.
Small town theater, big town entertainment. Just don't sit in the balcony no matter what size you are. But great small town stuff and the staff is more than accommodating.
Excellent volunteers. Great show!
A true gentleman. Best theater north of Boston. Great venue. Excellent variety of shows.
Event staff were very friendly & knowledgeable. Great seats! Pretty theater!
We visit the CCFA from time to time to see performances of interest and had a great time last night seeing and hearing Lyle Lovett and His Big Band. Terrific show, packed house and loads of energy. This house, though smaller than some, offers well organized ticket sales, plenty of volunteers as ushers and helpers, as well as a bar and plenty of refreshments. A totally no stress evening in a non stadium setting for an intimate and sublime performance.
Saw a excellent show there. Well worth the trip from Virginia. Everyone was truly nice. The small town feel made us think long and hard about going home.
We love attending events at the capital center and are current members here. We value their contribution to the arts in our Capital city . We are always scanning their event calendar for shows. Its always a great night out with dinner and a show in downtown when we find a event to attend. Seats and AC are a little bit on the “nostalgic” side. Hopefully we’ll see a bit of an upgrade here in the upcoming years.
This was actually a nice place to attend a concert. Unlike some theaters where I felt like I was sitting I my neighbour's lap I was able to sit comfortably during the show. The layout of the theater outside of the theater area felt chaotic. Both entering, and leaving the theater I felt like a salmon swimming against the tide. It should also be noted there is no parking here, you'll need to either pay for garage parking, or find street parking on the parallel streets as the theater is located in the heart of downtown it maybe difficult for an out of towner to find parking so plan ahead.
Great Venue!
Nice venue, but the seats are small and uncomfortable. I was seated next to a large man last night and had to leave the show early because of the discomfort I experienced!
Check out their events as there are a lot of different live entertainment performances.
I went here for a field trip with my class and we were up in the balcony. The seats were small and actually bruised my legs. I have sat below and the seats are wider. If you're a big person then dont choose balcony.
I saw Celtic Thunder here great place and wonderful service everyone was so helpful
Nice place to see a show but there is not a ton of leg room for tall people if you sit in the balcony.
Saw NEEDTOBREATHE Here. It was awesome! Great ushers as well! Thanks guys.
Great place. Warm feeling. Love how original it feels. Bob Marley killed it and we cant wait to come back for another show again.
Great place for state-wide events and celebrations. The NHADA certificates were given here and many students were recognized for their achievements! I love getting paper with my name on it, means a lot! Can't wait to cash this in for exactly $0.00! Haha jokes.
Best little theater around!! There isn’t a bad seat in the whole place and music sounds incredible!! Parking can be difficult but if you have a handicap tag you can usually find a spot across the street in the parking garage and there is an elevator even though it’s hidden - so just ask for help. I posted pictures from 3 different events - 2 School Concerts and 1 of the Comedian Bob Marley - I have also seen several plays and concerts there which were all fantastic!
Not a bad venue but the acoustics are terrible.
The theater is really nice and the shows they put on are also amazing.
Great venue to see and hear a concert.
We saw Tom Rush, always a great show. The Spotlight Cafe is a fabulous venue for seeing groups, like Chad & Jeremy and Denny Laine. It is like being in your living room.
Top tier acts, beautiful restored theater, very friendly and helpful staff
Nice smaller venue to see a show. Comfortable seats. Didn't like how the restrooms are on another floor. The place is old and its starting to show, but overall pleasant. No parking at the venue
Great venue to see shows. Pay extra and sit lower.
Nice building. Good acoustics and nice lightning/sound equipment. They have a freight lift to get any equipment in for your performance. As an audience member you have a fairly comfortable chair for what it is, snacks and drinks are overpriced so buy them before you come. It's $3 for a bottle of water or a soda.
This building is so authentic and beautiful! It is not the biggest place, which also makes for an intimate show no matter what the event :)
Very musty smelling.
The Capital Center is terrific and always manages events well...and the Say Anything screening with John Cusack was fantastic. BUT...the moderator nearly killed the show. She talked a lot about herself, asked awkward questions and could NOT stop playing with her own hair. Each time the audience would start to get into the show, she would ask an odd question or try to make it political, and the audience would go silent. John Cusack AMAZING! Moderator...terrible.
Beautiful inside. Loved it there
For Concord NH, this place is as good as it gets. The one missing star is for the concession prices. We are not in Boston, so please come back to earth.$9 for a draft beer? Come on man!
Great shows BUT I never can find handicapped parking spots- no matter how early I get there before the shows. Why are there not more handicapped parking spots? My friend and I went last Thursday night and ended up parking a long distance away ....
Spamalot was great. Good venue, I don't think that there is a bad seat in the house.
Great venue.
Great shows for a great price.
Excellent place to see a show! Nice lobby with food and drink, comfortable seating, and a great variety of shows: comedy, music, dance, levied, HD programming - you name it! Plus, it's in Concord, a much easier place to get to, a much nicer place to visit than Boston!
Capitol Center for the Arts is a great venue!
New Hampshire's best place to see live theater! Great staff, clean facilities, awesome vibe!
There is usually something going on and the people are very helpful.
Great shows there, and beautiful
I have been here for events, shows and private gatherings. Every time has been wonderful. The facility is beautiful and well kept.
Went and saw Disney dance tour with my daughter and loved it. And tonight saw puddles pity party with the so and loved it!! You guys put up some hard work.
We left at intermission. CELTIC WOMEN was great, but balcony seating [ at 69.00 per seat] was very hot, seats were tiny and your knees were touching the back of the front seat. I truly was worried about whether I could get out if there was a fire. 4 flights of stairs and we were told no elevator.[of course no elevator use with fire situation] I will continue at the Palace in Manchester.
Had a wonderful time seeing Collective Soul
All I can say is wow! This venue has had some great offerings. Saw Colin Hay recently and while waiting for the show I saw an ad for the Popovich Pet Comedy tour which I bought tickets immediately. Great venue for a date or for the family! Very clean and the volunteers are so sweet!
