Love our little hometown theater. Best popcorn of all theaters with real butter not a mixture of oil and butter. Friendly staff and not crowds of people. Wonder Women was great!

This is an excellent small theater. We went in the peak of Thanksgiving and it was really crowded, but the staff handled it well and the theater itself was clean and well maintained. I'll be back for sure!

We have tried to remain loyal to this small-town theater over the years since Fandango went into business, but recently it has really taken a dive. They closed the ticket windows, so you wait in a long line to buy tickets and then another one to buy snacks. The teens who work there have not been trained to understand what customer service actually means. They spend more time on their phones than doing their job. One of their theaters or projectors (never really could understand what the problem was) broke last week, but instead of changing the website or the phone message to reflect the issue and the cancellation of the movie--then the change in time--they just let all of the people waiting to see that movie (the last one being shown for the day) wait in line and find out it was cancelled upon reaching the window. You couldn't put a sign on the doors??? Five days later, there was still no sign on the door, no change on the website or the phone messages!!

Don't bother going to this theater unless you're okay with missing the first 5 minutes of your movie. They make you wait in the concession line just to buy a ticket to your movie. When I brought it to the managers attention, she said "this is how we do things here." She didn't seem the least bit guilty about charging me full price for making me miss 5% of my movie. Just look at their theater photo. See how aggravated the people look standing in line? That's because their missing their movie.

This is an old movie theater that is rather dated. My biggest complaint was the lack of help they had when we visited. My son and I went to an afternoon movie during the week and it took over 30 minutes just to get popcorn and soda.

I have to wonder if the people giving four or five stars are high? l fee like giving this place one star is being generous. The staff is rude, the so called concessions are awful and the theater itself is outdated and dingy. If they actually made this a nice place to go I wouldn't pass them on the way to Carson City. Sell or get investors to give this community a nice place to see a movie.

Seats are really close together. I have long legs, and was not comfortable. Finally found that top row has several inches more legroom, so we sat there. Also bought larger sized popcorn because it got a free refill. But when we got back out to the snack bar, it was closed down and unmanned. Was NOT pleased about that.

Very happy not to have to go up to Carson City to watch a high definition movie anymore. Besides, we like keeping our money as local as we can and I appreciate the Ironwood Theater owners investing in what was there to bring it up to date with the new theater technologies of today. We've been going to the theater almost every weekend since the upgrade. We don't miss the Galaxy Fandango a bit. Thanks

This is my hometown and I live right down the street from Ironwood Cinema 8 and it's a really comfortable theatre and always has all the movies in 3D and 2D...Sometimes it gets kinda cold in the theaters but if you have a jacket it's all good. It has friendly service and reasonable prices and I always like getting the large popcorn and large drink because I can get a refill to bring home. It's never packed there so there's a small line and a large amount of choices for seating. Their popcorn is also fantastic!

Small stadium, very long time to purchase tickets so come prepared with enough time before the movie. The seats are comfortable, but the screens have something like burn marks. Wouldn't go here if I truly had a choice.

Very nice theatre. Easy parking. Easy access to NV State Route 395 & Carson City. And you DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH ASSIGNED SEATING like many theatres require nowadays. I like to go in the theatre & look around & sit wherever it looks right. & maybe you'd see a friend & you could sit together w/o going back to the lobby & waiting in line again to get their approval to switch seats. I'm NOT getting on a plane--just going to a movie. ASSIGNED SEATING IS SUCH A HASSEL. So happy Ironwood does not do that.

Best popcorn in the valley! Theater needs updated seating. Teenagers run the theater in the evenings. Had a poor experience recently. Went to the theater on August 24th, 2019 for an 8:40pm show. By 9:05pm, the movie had not started and there were commercials on the screen. Ended up walking out and asking for passes to return at another time. I think there needs to be a manager working at night that is not a teenager and will not give an attitude when I ask for passes to return because the movie was 25 minutes late. Poorly managed business.

My husband and I go to movies on Tuesdays, during the week it's less crowded. OMG the popcorn is so fresh,no old maids, butter the bottom of the bag lite salt ,pack on the rest of the popcorn. Eat,Eat, before you know it, Seconds before the movie starts!

Cute little theater with super fair pricing. Unfortunately, we had some heating issues for the theater when I was there and it was crazy hot for a bit then cooled off as the movie started, but it remained warmer than expected the whole time. Employees were understanding and did what they could.

Pro: Great feature films + low matinee prices. Con: Temperature control is poor, too hot or too cold in theatre rooms, only comfortable in the lobby. Seats aren't very comfortable. The movie screens are fine.

There pricing is also very high it's $7. 50 for a kid and $10 for a adult the pop corn is $5 for there large and $4. 25 for one candy.

Nice theater, often either too hot or freezing cold while watching the movie. The popcorn is not that great, often tastes stale, the lobby could sure use some games again or something similar. Most staff friendly and willing to help out, have run into a few that weren't so pleasant but in all a pretty good experience each time we visit.
