I took the neighbor kids to see Goose Bumps 2. The only complaint I have is that a group of teenagers talked through the whole movie and I had to tell them to be quiet. I work hard for my money and I don't go to the movies that often, I think I will wait until movies come out on dvds because I don't like being interrupted when I am trying to watch a movie.

Saw a 3D movie there and it wasn't bad except for the lenses were a little scratch because have special glasses that they have to reuse. The decor was cool and the staff were friendly. Standard spendy concessions of course but never got anything. Overall experience, pretty good.. 4 Stars.

Are you guys serious? Look we live in a small town, and I know we probably wont ever have an imax theater here (But Missoula just got one, so thats close enough). But at the same time I wont settle for blurry 3D showings and a poor 2 channel audio system. I've traveled all over the country and have visited theaters in different cities every chance I had. This place has to have one of the worst 3D screens I have ever seen. The audio is very poor too. Now, I can overlook all of that. But no credit card machines? Seriously? Are we in the 80's? Move on with the times! And we're not allowed to bring drinks and snacks from home? So we're being forced to spend $5 on a candy bar that can be purchased elsewhere for less than a buck? No thanks. If you're a movie lover like me do yourself a favor: drive the extra 40 miles to Missoula where you can now experience an imax theater for about the same price these guys charge for a sub par movie.

This theater has reasonable pricing, and they're not usually crowded. I went for the opener of Rogue One and there were like 12 people in the theater. Right at the end of the movie, the employee comes walking in with the bin to collect 3d glasses and a dog started barking. Why was there a dog in there? No idea. The 3D is pretty good, and the seats are comfortable.

The Bitterroot's only 4 plex movie theater located in Hamilton. It's cleverly themed after ancient Egyptian motifs, in a manner that is reminiscent of the early movie theaters of the 20th century. It is open for 3 pm matinees, as well as the evening hours showing the latest in Hollywood films. Full snack bar is available, as well as offering features in 3-D. Personable staff is a nice contrast from the theaters in Missoula.

One of the cleanest theaters I have been to in forever! Didn't have pull my shoes off the floor at all getting to my seat. This theater is smaller than most but still has big big theater effect and not very crowded at all. Everyone is friendly and is very family oriented. Recommend going for sure!

I went to the movies with my daughter on Sunday, September 23 2018. Before we went, we checked their website for pricing, it stated that for an adult a ticket is 9 dollars. My daughter had a free movie pass, but I was charged 14 dollars, and it was not a 3D showing. When I got home I looked at my receipt and it said 9 dollars. I will never return.

I love this theater, mostly. However the sound is much louder than most theaters so I'm not sure about others that have visited this theater, but as for myself I always leave with a headache. What I also dislike about this particular theater is that they never have enough staff so you wait forever for your over-priced popcorn. If you want to get a really good seat, and practically have the theater to yourself, go the second week the movie is out, definitely not the premier night. It gets pretty claustrophobic if you go opening night. If by chance you do go to your chosen movie that first week of premier, buy your ticket early in the day and be there a half hour early for a halfway decent seat since the seating isn't assigned. If you are claustrophobic or have bladder problems I strongly suggest an end isle seat because it's a tight squeeze to get past people once seated. In other words don't get hemmed in. Overall I gave this theater a 4 star despite their obvious issues, but it's a small town theater with a small town vibe. Great place for an affordable date or a night out with the family and for a dollar less per adult than the really fancy AMC theater in Missoula (that my 180 lb. buns couldn't even fit in the seat because of their attached eating tray), and if you live in the valley you don't have to drive very far! You just need Google maps to find it if you aren't local. Mind you it's difficult to find the entrance as it is covered with overgrown brush so keep a keen eye out.

The Pharaoplex has six screens, four larger auditoriums and two smaller theaters. The theater does not accept credit cards or debit cards but there is an ATM when you enter the theater, so bring cash. Adults prices are $8.50 for regular shows and $10.50 for 3D showings, kids are $2.50 less for each type of show, as are seniors and matinee prices. I enjoy this theater because it's always clean and the staff is great. At the concession stand I usually get the large special which is a large soda and large popcorn for a relative bargain in concession price terms of $8 and change, there are different price levels of candy, nachos, pretzels and cotton candy. Pepsi is the fountain soda that is served. You can get a tap water for 50 cents in a medium cup, which is what I do when I don't want soda. I don't usually watch 3D movies as they give me motion sickness for some reason and I don't feel the price premium is worth the extra money to watch a movie, but I have watched 3D movies at the Pharaoplex and think the quality of the 3D is the same as anywhere else, the glasses are not the disposable type but a special 3D pair that is reused after being cleaned. I am glad we have this theater in Hamilton so I don't have to drive the 50 miles to Missoula to catch a movie.

The highschoolers they have working there now clearly have no work ethic at all. No eye contact was made basically just tossed my popcorn at me. Nice folks. Clean theatre. Can be a lot loud sometimes. Had to bring hearing protection to the movies for about 2 years. They seem to have that problem fixed now, but I still put some hearing protection in my pockets before going to the movie. Not a fan of 3d movies personally (film makers still learning how to use the genre and limiting focus to the background to focus the viewers attention like it is a 2d movie is annoying at best, same thing for the 2d fast action cut sequences used in 3d.), but it is great our local theatre offers so many 3d films for the people who do enjoy them. Matinee price is still reasonable.
