Pretty good theater very open with plenty of seating. Many booths to purchase tickets at and registers to buy snacks many options. Decently comfortable seats. Theater clean picture and sound clear. Arcade up stairs with a few games to play. Close by parking. Next to the mall and other place to shop or eat.

Just so run down. Broken down seats. Poor sound. Never have enough people at ticket counter or concessions. I guess since they are the only game in town they do not care about your experience . Drive 90 minutes to Tulsa or Springfield and they have theaters with lovely recliners and food service at your seat for the same ticket price! IF I owned this I would be embarrassed! Don't waste your money.

We normally do not attend movies here simply due to ticket prices. The sign to get tickets at the concession stand was off to the side so it was hard to see. Staff was courteous and prompt though with our purchase.

It took too long to get my ticket as I had to get it at the concession stand. There was a single line for concessions and tickets. There was an employee down the counter who was busy chatting up a young girl. It's a poorly managed facility.

I just watched the avenger endgame if I had to rate the movie from 1 to 10 I'd give it a 5 it the only marvel I've seen with less action clips but I still like the marvel movies and I am expecting the next one with more packed action

Worst experience ever. No air conditioning in the theatres. When asked why, the staff reported they were waiting on parts to fix it, however, they also said this same thing three weeks ago, yet when it's peak hours, the a/c miraculously works fine. Complete waste of money, will never go back.

Sound and visual experience is great. Food is high price but that's every theater. The staff is always nice and friendly. The theater is usually pretty clean, even during peak times. I like to use the app or quick check in that's available.

Multiple issues here! 1. I had to go to the concession to get my ticket. Waiting twice as long for people to get their stuff. 2. Not friendly at all. Asked for help on the app to get points and just staired at me. 3. Theater was 80 degrees, i didnt come to a theater to sweat, i would have gone to a gym. Ask the manager, and all he did was open the doors and offered to refund my $. Saying they have been "having issues" for awhile now. 4. For $10.24 matinee is ridiculous, but to pay that and be miserable.... This place has been going down hill for years, i think they have hit their rock bottom!

Went and saw Secret Life of Pets 2 today in 3D. What a joke. The glasses did not work. There was a small audience and we all felt like we got ripped off because we had to pay more to see this 3D version. Great movie, just don’t see it in 3D.

This place has really gone down hill. Prices are exuberant for admission and concessions. A majority of the chairs are broken and the floors are usually dirty. You can watch a movie though.

Went and saw Captain Marvel and the theater was okay. I really, really wish they'd invest in it. I would go more often. Even if they shrunk the theater and renovated it I would be happy. 8+ screens renovated, add an imax, and nicer seats. Seats were lacking and I had a headache afterward. Improve the atmosphere.

Twice the price of another theater in area, (Pittsburg 8 is so much better and cleaner), but they were playing movie later that day. Arrived in theater 30-40 minutes early, the previews before the previews called Noovie were really loud, they were having issues with sound, was playing every other second or two, so voice sounded choppy. Talked to attendant, he called manager, 20 minutes later was still doing it. I went and talked to manager, he said they looked at it and they could not fix it, so they just let it go. I asked if they could turn down or turn off sound, they did. Good final customer service after letting us set for 20 more minutes listening to it. Last time we will use this theater!

The largest movie theater in the area. Prices are about $2 more expensive than Springfield ($12 for a ticket here vs. $10 at the much nicer theater). They show most movies here but the Oscar movies get a very small showing time while kids movies get extended time.

Very disappointed in management. Being a disabled person going to the movies is hard enough. The handicapped seating was broken the movie next door was louder than ours and management did nothing to accommodate me.

The theater was ok for watching movies. Chairs were comfortable,but everything is a little old looking . The screen had a mark in the middle of it,which was a bit distracting. The food is standard and pretty expensive. There are a lot of movies playing though, so you can see several shows in a day, if you want to.

Definitely the nicest theater in Joplin, but is not saying much, needs assigned seating. It is a little archaic that movie theaters still dont have assigned seats. Sound and picture were good. Consessions staff were very slow and not very knowledgeable about their job. I will be back but really could do with some improvements.

A very clean theater. My friend and I have come here multiple times. Great leg room, which I appreciate because I'm a 6 foot 5 guy. The popcorn and snacks are expensive, but almost every theater is like that. Otherwise, a very clean a comfortable place.

48 minutes late the movie finally started. Very poor customer service. Someone came in but could not here her, she did not speak very loud. No compensation was given for wasting 50 minutes of a full house of patrons. Yeah 50 minutes times 200 people is more than a week of time. Shame on management. The movie was the sneak preview of Aquaman.

The seating is great and the chairs are comfortable. The picture and sound are outstanding. The staff although nice are young and not managed very well. It seem to have a staff of around six people (which should be more than enuff for only running two registers) at the concession and they always take forever to get or do anything. The concession was way over priced it might not seem so bad if you didnt have to wait fifteen minutes at the counter everytime.

August 21st 2019 Just went to a 320 showing of spiderman in theater 6 of regal northstar in joplin mo. It was the worst experience i have had in a movie theater ever. The ac wasnt working correctly so we were very warm. Walking into the theater itself all you could smell was muggy mildew. So a long hot stinky movie was not fun. Now to adress the popcorn policy at this theater they reheat last nights left overs so we enjoyed stale popcorn at an expensive price and hot mildew. So i took these concerns to management at the theater where i was hoping i would feel they cared and understood instead i got a young man that placated me with "i will look into have a nice day" i will be hardpressed to part with my hard earned money again to attend this theater unless i hear things have changed. Ps upon arriving before entering the theater we were actually considering buying 2 of the 1 year unlimited subscriptions to this theater. Nope not anymore thank you for at least saving me that money.

Last 3 times I went the volume was so low I couldn’t hear the dialogue in quieter scenes. 2 of those times there were crickets chirping louder than the movie inside the theatre. 1 of those times the other action movie placed next to us was so loud I couldn’t concentrate at all. Have also tried calling for lost and found, 5 times in a row no one picked up the phone.

Although getting a bit rundown looking in areas, this is still a very clean theatre! The staff is usually friendly and helpful. It's easy to find your way around, and they get some great shows here! I appreciate the older summer kids' movies at the cheaper price to find a fun place to bring my daughter with a friend!

And obviously off day but not an excuse we spent $60 to see a movie at 7 only to have broken seats and the show start in the middle of it. The show didn’t actually start until seven thirty as they rewindined all the way back through to previews.

By far one of the worst movie theaters I’ve had the bad luck to spend money in. You now have to purchase tickets at the concession stand, so be prepared to stand in line 10-30 minutes. Way overpriced theater tickets. Theaters with recliner reserved seats in Tulsa and Springfield are cheaper. The seats here are dirty and sticky and they have the most unappetizing concession stand ever. Can’t wait for the Neosho movie theater to reopen with a revamped recliner seating and a full bar. However, the employees have always been awesome, very professional.

It's not as sticky as it used to be, but all the seats are still broken, the screens are damaged and they do not enforce any rules about using phones during the movie. Several people had their phones out because it's obvious that no one cares.

This place is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS with prices!!! I am from Michigan and are theatres are WAY nicer and only TEN dollars!! Not only are they 10 dollar tickets, but we have lay-z-boy RECLINER seats...yeah, get into this oversized chair and push a BUTTON to recline it. Some theatres even have the recliner couch!! Not only do they have that, but most have a concession that serves actual food! and STARBUCKS! oh and for those 21 and over, don't forget alcohol! Sooo, tell me how all those theatres can have all this amazing stuff and charge 10/tickets...yes even the ones in the boonies! Yet Joplins theatre wants to charge over 15 for a ticket in a sub-par theatre?? What makes your theatre worth a ticket over 15 dollars?? No really, tell me, I am curious, because all I am seeing is a theatre equivalent to our DOLLAR theatre we have.

Terrible. I can't believe how down hill this place went. Primetime during Endgame opening weekend, only one ticket person, slow service, expensive, FILTHY, and the movie didn't start on time. The only reason we came here was because Capt. Marvel was not showing in Pittsburg. Not coming back, this place is disgusting.

This theater managed to take a poor experience and make it worse. The last several times we've gone to the movies, there has not been anyone at the ticket box, and we've had to wait at least 25 minutes to purchase tickets at the extremely unappetizing snack bar. They have also added reserved seats, which is great in better theaters with recliners, better snacks, and a bar, and it sounds good in theory, except they cram everyone together with large groupings of vacant seats throughout.

The only thing this place has going for it is the staff is partially friendly if you're not getting pushed through like cattle. That and this place operates as needed for a theater's basic functions of delivering a movie. The location is almost always dirty and we try to avoid the middle section of any theater we go into because the seats are exceptionally grungy. On top of that, their prices for popcorn and soda are atrociously high. There are multiple theaters in the area that provide a significantly better experience than here with just a bit more driving.

Plenty of screens for show times but that’s this theaters only saving grace. First of all, when past experience has taught you to bring cusions with you so you can make it sitting through a movie, the seats are so uncomfortable. Also, any time someone in the room shifts, the squeaking of seats is overly distracting. The sound bleedover from neighboring showings made it hard to hear during the softer moments. During our movie, the room became so warm that we became supremely uncomfortable and considered stepping out to cool off. We didn’t have time to drive the 50 miles or more that we usually do to go to a decent theater, and this experience reminded me why we do make the trip somewhere else for our viewing pleasure.

Price paid before 6pm for 1 movie (Joker), 1 medium popcorn and 1 medium soda was $25.00. I'm not sure how kids are paying for dates anymore. Going to a movie shouldn't break the bank.

These folks shut off the movie right at the beginning, then said they turned it off because people were on their phones and taking pictures. They talked to us like we were schoolchildren who only got our movie if we behaved. It’s an insulting thing to do to people. If you have a problem with people being distracting, take them aside and address it instead of interrupting our experience and holding our movie hostage. I paid for the ticket, followed the rules, and still got punished by a theater on a weird power trip.

Its kind of dirty sometimes and the prices are too high, in my opinion. They keep it extremely cold, lines can get quite long at the food stand. They never have enough people working at times when several movies will be starting. Like 30 people in line and one or two staff trying to move the lines. We have missed the start of the movie several times because of this.normally we prefer other theaters or the drive in where I can choose when I miss something or where the lines are not so long. 66 theater in Webb city or Pittsburgh are better choices.

Crazy expensive tickets... The same cost as luxury theatres minus the luxury. Seats are broken or have lost their cushioning, everything is sticky, the air conditioning system has been out for two months, the arcade doesn't take quarters. Honestly everything about it is unpleasant to the point where you should drive 45 minutes to the next nearest theatre (the one in Pittsburg KS).

Not enough accomodations were made for handicapped people. The few seats provided for them were broken down and need replaced! Non-handicapped people took some of those seats, so handicapped people had to walk down steps to the front of the auditorium.

Stickey floors, Small screen that's set off center, high viewing angle, with front row set way below the bottom of the screen. Hard to find the sweet spot. Older studio design, Massive audio bleed over from next theater. Can't rate this rooms audio the movie hasn't started yet, but I don't expect much from it. Price was a little high 10.25 for a matinee. I don't know how this theater compares to others in the area but, if given the opportunity I will try the others first

This place does not provide a very enjoyable movie watching experience. They charge premium prices for extremely uncomfortable chairs and very poor audio/visual quality. The owners and establishment are completely out of touch with providing an enjoyable experience, but to be fair, there is no other multi-screen competition in town so their is no incentive for them to upgrade.

Went to the movies today with our special needs people including wheelchair and Regal Theaters oversold handicapped-accessible and instead of opening another theater like they did all through the summer of 2018 to accommodate special needs. We were told by the manager that they can't do this and it takes 4 hours to set it up which is untrue do to last summer getting done within 10 minutes my special needs girl one of them had a meltdown had to be confined to the home and the other two went on an eating binge once they arrived at home thanks Regal!!!!!!!!!

A storm knocked out some of their A/C units and they were showing movies in very hot theaters, with no fans or anything. Supposedly the guy selling tickets was supposed to warn us before we paid for our tickets, but he didn't. We took off as many layers of clothing as was decent and even went into the hallway for my daughter to cool off at one point during the movie. When we first went out to complain about the temperature, while they were still showing trailers, and they found out we had not been warned, they didn't offer to make it right and let us see something different or refund the money.

I can not be more ashamed of this place. When I was a teenager in high school this place was awesome. Now the upstairs arcade half broken other half is unplayable due to poor conditions. And then there is the food. No topping for popcorn and the lines to get concessions is unorganized with people standing behind registers but not open. I don't mind paying 10 dollar matinee or 15 for regular but the seats smell putrid and the floors are like walking on tar. If you can just avoid it at all costs. They need to revamp it and Regal wont do that.

I’ve been going to this theater for years and I’ve always had a great time. I came to watch Ant-Man and The Wasp this weekend. I bought my tickets, I got popcorn and a drink from concession and was very fast. Then I was greeted by Colton, the ticket taker. He greeted me with a smile and was very friendly. He sent me on my way to the movie. The theater was very clean. The audio was great. And the chairs were comfortable. Overall I had a very good movie experience. And I recommend this theatre.

My son and I watched a movie in theater 5 which was blurry and low quality. At times during a scene we could hear the movie in the theater next to us over the film we were trying to watch. This used to be a good establishment but in recent months the quality of service and now, apparently, the films themselves are in decline. Do yourself a favor and spend a few extra minutes driving to a different theater.

Pricing - TERRIBLE General cleanliness - TERRIBLE Saturday service - TERRIBLE!!! You walk in with 20 mins until your movie and the concessions lines are all the way to the doors. One person behind the counter. I missed the first 15 mins of my movie because I wanted a $10 soda. Unreal! No wonder movie theaters are going out of business. This theatre always brings back wonderful memories as a kid, spending time here with my dad. They have the arcade upstairs for the kids (or the kids at heart) to play while they wait. As with most theatres, the cost of food/drinks here is ridiculously expensive. However, the theatres are always clean, the bathrooms are always clean, customer service is very good, and the quality the movie showing itself has yet to leave me unsatisfied.

For the past month and a half,I've come to see all the summer blockbusters as expected. My complaint is that the AC has not been working in all the theatres they threw me in for my movie of choice. Regal,I understand the AC got knocked out due to storms,but really... It takes this long to get it fixed? Its July,and your idea of AC is to keep the doors open to each entrance of theatre. Just Wow!!!!!!!!!...Well here's an interesting fact Regal,be ready for competition at the beginning of the new year. There breaking ground on a new IMAX theatre in Joplin down by the Sam's Club area. Definitely you will lose my business. For as much money as people spend here,you would figure the theatres would be comfortable. Not the case. You guys need to seriously upgrade everything! Enjoy your time now!!

Wow, movies are expensive nowadays! Went to see a rare movie--First Man--because I wanted to see the space footage on the large screen. When Neil Armstrong sets foot on the moon, the director wanted you to be awed by the silence. Great scene, but I could hear the whole wall thumping from the movie next door (Bohemian Rhapsody). I'm all for good sound systems. But I'm also for good sound insulation.

Prices are very high for a very dirty theater. Seats are broken, they don’t clean, snacks and drinks are very pricey. Better off driving to broken arrow or Springfield

Getting a little worn. Many chairs are broken and too loose. The prices are enough they should be able to maintain it better. It really needs updated or Joplin needs a new theatre.

Came to see the new dragonball super broly movie and was told the tickets i preorder for this movie off of there corporate site was no good for it even though customer service says they r so i tried to use a gift card i have i was told that is no good for the tickets for the movie also the manager on duty told me either cash or card for the tickets only and then just asked me to leave after that what a terrible place i hope they get bought out or shutdown i will be calling corporate and the BBB if this movie would of been playing at amc Pittsburgh theater i would of just gone there they have amazing service and usually only go there even though i live in joplin

There's nothing really exceptional about this theater. As Joplin expands economically, this one is in real danger of getting outclassed. Didn't dislike it, but things like their seating need some modernizing.

Why would you show a commercial for "It" in a PG movie? 6 year olds should NOT have to see that. 75.00 for tickets 1 adult and 2 kids, drinks and snacks is ridiculous.

I rather drive to Joplin due to how great our time was here! Was busy but prices were great. People didn't talk during the movie. The only part I didn't care for was going in and out of the movie room. I'm not a fan of height when in heels. I recommend flat shoes! One of the best theaters we've been to! Went for our anniversary weekend.

The last2 times we’ve been here it’s been absolutely horrible. Unfortunately this is the ONLY movie theater in town so no other choice but we watched Aladdin, toy story 4. The AC has been out in the theaters and toy story was absolutely miserable. Extremely hot. I had my toddler with me and I went to the concession stand to ask for a large cup of water so we wouldn’t have to keep coming out and refilling those tiny complementary cups every two minutes. I didn’t want a fountain drink or anything of the sort just WATER to make sure my daughter and I stayed cooled in the theater for the next almost 2 hours. There is a manager named Devin or Devon or something like that and also another boy who cleans the theaters who were extremely rude. When the person at the concession informed me that I couldn’t get a large cup I asked for a manager so that I could see if he had the authority and Devin said nope sorry you can buy the cup for 8 dollars. SO after spending almost 30 on tickets and having no choice but to watch movies in hot theaters it was too hard to give a large cup to a paying customer for water to make up for the uncomfortable movie watching experience. You would think with That they would finally get the AC FIXED after all this time. And they STILL haven’t gotten the AC FIXED. POOR POOR service and that manager needs to be fired. Bunch of young kids running the place like their own playground. IN RESPONSE TO “OWNER”....... Sorrys don’t make up for the poor customer service and also the terrible experience unfortunately TWICE in a row!!!!! And also you are apparently not hearing what my full complaint was. Your staff there needs attitude checks

Super high prices! Why would anyone go to the theater when you can wait to see it in the comfort of your own home for less than 10% of the price of going to this theater?

They had 5 people that could fill up a refill popcorn bucket and they only had 2 customers me and 1 other and they just stand there gossiping. Customer service poor review. Price poor review. Movie great. The lion king!!!

The seats are comfy. The picture an sound are great. The concession stand is ridiculous crazy price. The arcade you have to put money on these cards which rip off ur money most the time. The movie was awsome and the theatre was nice an cool.

I read the reviews all I can say is if you don't care for the regal North Star don't go. My self IV never had problems there prices are a little high. But they service more than one movie at a time so they have to stay in business some way.

My daughter and I enjoyed a movie here during their $1 movie event. There's an arcade on the second floor, nice large theater rooms, and the staff was very nice. The only downside was the price of the foods. I feel it's a bit overpriced. Aside from that, I will definitely be back here when a new movie comes around.

We went in July 2019. It was very hot and bottled water was over $5 and the movie was played very loudly, where it hurt my ears. At the end of the movie it was so dark we could barely find our way out. As a plus, it was the only theatre in town. The staff was nice.
