I saw Star Wars here today and I was unimpressed. The whole experience of a unique, giant screen is fun, however the set up of the room hurt my experience. The only good seats are in the very back. I sat in the middle and felt like I was straining to see the whole screen. I can only imagine how horrible it would be for the people sitting in the front row since most of the screen would have been behind them. This set up would make sense if the seats reclined or were tilted back. But they aren't. They're standard, straight up seats. Like I said, it was a fun experience, but a better set up in the theater could have really improved it. Also, props to the Omnimax for showing the Imax version of Star Wars for over a month!!

Theater is nice. $10 per ticket for a 40 minute movie but theomnimax is cool. Concessions are just as expensive as a regular movie. Scored 3 of 5 due to parking. It was $12! There is free 2-hour parking on the street but we didn't know that until after we went into the lot.

This place is amazing! If you have never been get in your car and come see what ever is playing! Anything they have playing will blow your socks off. The latest visit we saw the Aircraft Carrier. Super detailed and a delight for the whole family. Aged 9-40!

Drove 3 hours to see Star Wars. The theater is neat looking but overall a joke. The seats are dangerously steep with no rails to keep you from toppling over them, as we saw a child do while we were there. The seats are ridiculous small. If you consider yourself big and tall or you are a big guy or gal, don't waste your time. You won't even fit in the seats. Also the seating is standard, the seats are not luxury like some theaters and do not recline.

Well kept. Comfortable seating. I would recommend sitting in the middle of a row half way up for best viewing. The movie ran on time. The staff was friendly and patient. Great experience for kids to watch a movie.

I have a four, two, and six month old that I nanny. We have a membership to the science center and visit here a minimum of once a week and spend an average of an hour and a half here each time. I thought the kids would be bored of seeing the same things every time, but there are so many interactive activities, they always find something new to play with. Elevators make it easy to get around with a stroller and the cafes/lunch areas have lots to look at and make feeding times easy. Definitely recommend to add this to any mom or nannys list!

watching a movie in a giant hemisphere is quite an experience. i watched Star Wars the Force Awakens here and my mind exploded. so much fun. would recommend. you might need to turn your head frequently though to catch all the action on the screen as its happening in all directions in front of you

Looks like Star Wars must have sucked but everything documentary style I have seen there was spectacular. I have seen a lot of them. A few have been PBS style political propaganda but still visually stunning. Oh, did I mention the sound system? It's worth the price of a ticket. If you can get in and out of St. Louis and not get murdered it's a must see. I wouldn't take Metro Link. Good luck and enjoy!

Always a good experience here. Going during the week and pretty early is always a plus, since the crowds are way smaller, and there's less screaming kids around. This latest visit was to watch "A Beautiful Plant" documentary, and it was spectacular! It was amazing getting to see earth from space, as well as getting a glimpse of life on the international space station. Go see "A Beautiful Plant" before its gone!

If you want good seats make sure to get seats in the back. I wouldn't recommend seeing actuator any fast pace movies as you may get all slightly nauseated.

Went to see stars wars on January 2 for the first time and what happend sound and projection issues 15 minutes in. Come on lopped and skipped for 4 minutes then we missed 10 minutes of the movie because they chose to play it from where THEY stopped it! Wow! Kinda disappointed that the next 15 minutes the sound did not match the screen. Last time going there!

I'm sure I'm one of many people who grew up in St. Louis with the Omnimax. Back in the late 90's and early 2000's, it was an immersive and insane experience. With no reference to high definition, the screen seemed incredibly crisp and cutting edge. It truly was. A lot of time has passed for this technology. The resolution on the projector for the Omnimax experience has stayed the same, and the theater has changed very little from when I was a young boy. Now, the screen shows its age. The pictures are grainy and don't do the aspect ratio or viewing experience justice. What was formerly an awe-inspiring experience is now something that is somewhat uncomfortable and outdated. The biggest investment the science center could make might very well be the technology surrounding this theater. People love the Omnimax, but it feels like it is time for a resolution upgrade. Of course, we're aware that this eventual transition isn't simple. The technology was invented during the 70's. The STL Science Center doesn't have the funds to push this technology into the 21st century, so we can only hope for a push by the remaining Omnimax theaters in America to band together to save this style of cinema magic.
