This Movie Theater corresponds to the category of Movie theater.
Clean and classy. They played alita one day before it was suppose to start showing, how? I have no clue but i liked that lol
Good, breakfast really good
Terrible customer service. Called to find out if the theatre had reclining seats. After a 5 minute wait the first time I was hung up on. Called again, was asked if I could hold and I said no. He sat the phone down anyways. Called 3rd time got a different agent and got my answer in 10 seconds. It took over 10 minutes to receive a one sentence response. And NO THEY DO NOT have reclining seats
Great place to see a movie. Small and intimate. Great theater staff, most welcoming!
Intimate. Excellent place for adults.
So nice
They really go the extra mile! There is a tray of candies when you leave the movie. Staff is very friendly and obviously they are working to differentiate themselves from their competition. The organist playing music between shows was great, as well.....
I love this place! This is a very classy joint, dinner, movie and a drink it's always been awesome. When my kids were young I loved to take them here for kids movies, never a bad crowd and call about the specials
For some reason there was a very very long line on for tickets the day we went. They opened a second line and did not stop people who were just comming into the theater from cutting in front of those who had been waiting already for that second line. Other than that the hotel is beautifully decorated and the theater is very small.
Cozy distinct cinema. With a piano and player in one of the movie lounges. Limited seating so likely to sell out on popular movie opening nights. Leather seats and alcohol served as well. Can chill in Plaza lobby while waiting for show times.
Fantastic hotel. Great staff specially the breakfast staff
We were able to enjoy a movie here while on a visit to St. Louis, during the Christmas time. The hotel is stunning, and we enjoyed the decor on our way to the movie. They had an organ player play some music before the movie, that was a nice touch. The concession stand area did get backed up, they were a bit slow. So, plan for extra time.
The popcorn was fresh and warm. I was surprised by the comfy chairs! The theater is a bit small but cozy for a date night!
Very small screens. Comfortable seating. Quick service. Good location.
Going to the right place for the tickets and then to a separate area for the theater is a bit confusing at first, but not that big of a deal. The free parking in the hotel garage is really nice. The seats and the theaters are great.
Nice Theater!
I had never gone to this place before and I love it! Easy parking across the street, but make sure to tell them you're there to see a movie in case they're taking money. The rooms are smaller, but comfy. The seats go way back. The concessions are simple, but good. The small bar has a great selection of beers.
It's a smaller theater, but the screen was good and the price was right. Parking is the only downside, but that is not to difficult. When you go through the door with the Cinema sign above it, go straight and to the left to get to the concession stand were you can buy your ticket.
The seats were just uncomfortably after a while
Nice place to go to catch a good filmfilm ...Great customer service and it's always clean...
5$ early bird! Thats the stuff! Great seats, really neat building, close to everything! Win-win-win. See you again every monday!
It may have 5 screens but it doesn't feel like a megaplex.
Friendly staff and fun atmosphere
Went to my job, PREMIUM, Christmas party in the starlight room. Beautiful setting
One of the best small movie theaters out here. Nice cozy atmosphere. Nice employees . They do the little thing where if you get so many stamps you get a free movie . Its really nice . Great place to bring your kids without fear of them getting lost due to the big size and large crowds of other theaters. They also have $5 matinee shows before 4 pm. I give this theater ten stars.
Fun, clean, friendly staff, comfy seats, great popcorn. I appreciate the free garage parking (be sure to validate your parking staff when you get your movie tickets at the theater concession stand). No noisy groups of chattering, texting teenagers, which made for a relaxing movie experience.
Very nice spot to take in a movie. Not crazy crowded. It’s cool.
A cool old-fashioned neighborhood cinema. Their slogan is accurate: A civilized alternative to the megaplex. They have matinee pricing. Screens are small, but they usually put the big-ticket showings on a big one. They also have loyalty cards. I love seeing movies here.
The theater is one of just a handfull of indie movie houses in the the St. Louis area located on the main level of the historic Chase Park Plaza Hotel. Elegant and comfortable surroundings, convenient movie schedule, roomy, plush seating and even a little live music before the show. Snack bar includes the usual candy, popcorn, and drinks with a few healthy options. Parking is a bit challenging, avoid on street where the limit is 2 hours, our paid admission included validated parking in the hotel garage that you access from Maryland Plaza between Euclid and Kingshighway. Overall a good experience and yes, I'd recommend to a friend.
Small, comfortable theatres and varied concessions. Good place to see a movie.
Saw "A simple Favor" popcorn was great movie, 3 out of 5
Great place to watch a movie. Usually not very crowded unless it's $5 Wednesdays. Theaters are small and quaint, not the big fancy lounge kind. But perfect for moviegoers.
This is a good place for movie watching. Tickets are affordable and concessions are very reasonable. If you park in the garage off of Maryland they'll validate it for you too. We like that it's also not a part of a big corporate chain. The building is awesome and the seats in the theaters are comfortable. It isn't crowded often either, at least it hasn't been when I've been there.
Super nice to my kids! A little hard to find parking. Staff was super nice
Just a fantastic place to host a event .or just to have dinner and hang out with friend's
Great place all decked out in Christmas decorations.
Love this place great atmosphere and it's a great Hotel also
Would have had a perfect movie night, but the young staff are always very loud here... laughing and joking in the front hall. If you're seeing a movie that is emotionally quiet at times, it's completely ruined by the staff. And I don't mean slight laughs here and there, I mean talking and scream-laughing like they're a block away from one another. I want to love this place but this keeps me from going back. I gave it another try...don't go if you're seeing a "deep" movie, only go if it's an action film.
Small and pleasant theaters. Excellent seats. Fresh popcorn and adult refreshments. Free mints and tootsie rolls upon exiting
Theater's big enough, popcorn's good enough, screen's big enough, prices are good anytime of the day.
Went on opening day and the movie theater was nearly empty! The screens are smaller than other theaters, but the chairs are comfy and the snacks are great! They have cherry Pepsi or coke (can't remember) on the fountain! Not one of those mixing machines that adds the grenadine at the end, those are not the same.
Small seating and rooms but not bad
Always a great experience at the Chase
There's no changing table
It was harrbl...thylay did not give us pop corn And I did not get a have a good day or nothing. And harrbl setings....
Love the Chase Park Plaza Cinema's!
This theater is way better than the megaplexs, less expensive and fresh popped popcorn. I've never had a bad experience and not many kids or rude young adults.
Great specials always playing the latest shows. Prices are fair
Love the decor and history of the place
So chill. Great venue. Great people.
Let's have dinner and go to the theater.
Just went to see a movie at 1:40 on a Sunday and the theater was so uncomfortably warm the entire time I ended up sweaty and just waiting for the movie to end. I heard others in the theater saying the same thing. I usually get cold in theaters so I brought a light sweater but didnt use it. Definitely don’t go there unless you enjoy sitting in an 80 degree theater.
Intimate easily accessible theater in a legendary hotel
New remodeled rooms beautiful ! Come see.
Great service great location
Amazing and the people who work there are awesome
It's always a great place to see a movie. Nice atomasphere. A+
Great place to watch a movie and more affordable than most.
The Chase Park Plaza was another GEM in our holiday experience. A truly exciting area. Beautiful hotel, theatre. restaurants, stores. Enjoyed walking around the neighborhood.
Throwback experience! Great snacks and personal setting in theatres. Fun!
You think you're being fancy until you have to navigate a maze between the ticket desk and the actual cinema, and the rooms are pretty small with astoundingly average sound systems.
Small intimate theater seating. Good seats and the attendants are excellent hosts and hostesses.
This place is weird. If you like "cozy" theaters — meaning tiny ones with less than 50 seats and a pretty small screen — then this place is fine for intimate viewings. If you're looking to see the latest blockbuster in all it's 60-foot glory, than this is not the place to go. The screen quality is fine, it's just really small. Seats are modern and fine. Not super-luxury, but fine. Next weirdness: If you enter from Lindell Blvd — and the large marquee above the doors gives you the impression this is the main entrance — the theater is nowhere to be found in the empty lobby you'll find yourself in(!). It's actually down a series of narrow corridors, off to the left, basically in another part of the hotel (closer to Kingshighway). Third weirdness: You purchase your tickets from the food concessions counter. Don't be mystified by the (closed) ticket window in that abandoned lobby you first entered. The good: I like this place because it's relatively near me and I can go to a late show with only a handful of people in the theater with me (or none at all), thus lessening the chance of run-ins with rude, talkative patrons.
Wacky Wednesdays $5 all day! Theaters are small and movies aren't changed out as often as you'd like!
An easy walk from home, though free parking is available.
I went to Chase Park Plaza Cinema to see Mission Impossible: Fallout. It was the first movie theater I had been to in over a decade. People making noise, climbing over me, coming and going -- it was a vivid reminder of why I had not been to a movie theater in over a decade. And on top of that, a fairly small screen.
If you love the movies, you'll love the Chase. Old school details in the theater plus wine & beer and Ted Drewes in the concessions!
ITS SO LOVELY, AND ALL THE WORKERS ARE SO COURTEOUS
Chamber of Commerce dinner was held here Good food and excellent service. One negative was the garage was full and there was no sign posted that there were no spots left. Many cars went up all 6 ramps and had to retreat when there were no spots. Very poor management not to post "garage full".
Always an enjoyable movie going experience with a quiet & respectful audience
Cinema was kinda small but with adequate seating and clean. Sound system was surprisingly good for a small theatre. Viewed Equalizer 2.
Great location, didn't see free parking but still found a meter right across the street. Had to go feed the meter towards the end of the movie but still was a great movie day with my children. Floor was a bit sticky, but seats rocked comfortably.
Based on my one and only experience at this theater, I was very disappointed at the cleanliness, customer service, and theater experience. We brought our children to a matinee which lost power about 3/4 of the way through. As we stood in the hall waiting for them to fix the movie, I went to the concession stand and asked the custodial woman if they would be offering vouchers for the movie if it wouldn't be repaired. I'm in the dark as to why this question angered the woman so bad, but she snapped at me and raised her voice (I was being completely cordial, mind you) "MA'AM, YOU ALL NEED TO CALM DOWN. WE WILL LET EVERYONE KNOW WHEN THE MANAGER GETS HERE." So, as shocking as that was, combined with the inconvenience of having to walk through an entire hotel to get there, the movie equipment 'breaking' and just a bad experience, I would recommend going to a brand name movie theater for a more fun, all around experience.
They really know their butter! I love heart stopping butter Ron my.popcorn and he added the PERFECT amount! Thank you so much!!
I love this movie theater. Everything about it. Location is great, film selection is usually fantastic, sometimes the audience gets the treat of an organist before showtime. And there are always complimentary tootsie rolls/hershey's kisses and peppermints available after the flick. They have great matinee prices and times. Big plus - the parking lot across the street (on the corner of Lindell and Kingshighway) is free to movie goers. Just BE SURE TO HOLD ONTO YOUR TICKET STUB for the attendant and you are good to go!!!!
Very nice place to watch a movie
Movie was good 3hours went bye fast ,clean nice place will come back again
This place is super, super small. Dont see movies on opening weekend or on busy weekends.
Theaters are small, really small. But for $5 early bird I don't care. It's close to home and convenient.
Quaint little theater locked in inside of a fancy hotel. While the theater was small the overall experience was great. The hand delivered mint at the end of the film was a pleasant and unexpected surprise.
Enjoyed the small theater experience, the concessions selections were fabulous
Good drinks!
The movie I went to see today was once upon a time it was very boring I had been in there for 30 minutes when I went and asked for a ticket to come see another movie The Woman that said she was the manager said she could not do that she also told me if I didn't like the way things were done there to go to a Wehrenberg Theater I think this is very rude of her and I think if I had it been White she would have gave me the ticket thank you.
In spite of all the construction going on, the Chase Park Plaza Cinemas is a great venue. We'll continue to see most of our movies at the Chase.
I seen a rat for real as I was watching the Incredible 2 movie. I had sat in the Front and I noticed something on the floor. It was a RAT!! I was uncomfortable because it was too cold. They're seats suck also
Had a great time
Seats were nice and comfortable.
Very comfortable settings
First time there, but it won't be my last. The price was fair and the snack bar prices were average. The theater itself was great; good view of the screen from all seats and the sound was good.
My favorite theatre in my area!
Have been here several times! Service is great. Theaters are smaller. Just your basic theater seat and you can’t reserve seating. Parking in garage has not been an issue for us. They provide parking validation.
Affordable. Nice people.
Cozy little theatre, but patrons around us were so noisy it was hard to hear the movie.
Kind and light-hearted place with a concession standdifferent types of movie theaters and multiple movie theaters in the Chase Park plaza cinemas great place and overall really nice
It was very fun and I enjoyed it.
Very nice theater and it's always a pleasure to go to the Chase.
This is not you modern day luxurious cinema with chair service. The screens are smaller but comfortable fitted with nice chairs that have been updated. The theaters are fairly clean and well kept. You can also expect to pay over the top prices at the concessions stand as you would at any theater ...bring your own.
Great seating, good food, great snack deal, and alcohol while watching a movie.
Really beautiful cinema with a classy but quaint atmosphere. Ticket prices are very good and there is a wide snack selection. The theater itself is small but comfy and we really enjoyed our whole movie experience
Staff and movie was great, theater was clean and well kept.
Best hotel theater in STL without a doubt. Great weekday price incentives. Small theaters with excellent sound. Parking free in garage or on the surface.
Intimate. Smaller screens than some theaters but reminds me of theaters from s time long gone. For my $'s a much more pleasant way to watch a movie.
Small theaters, within the beautiful historic hotel, and within walking distance to restaurants. One of my favorite places to see a film.
It's cool
Was so comfortable and the temperature was perfect.
This is one of my favorite movie theaters. The staff is always courteous and helpful. Thanks Chase staff members for always making my experience a memorable one. Keep up the good work.
Excellent local movie theater experience
My favorite theater, easy to drop in for a movie, cheap matinee prices, friendly staff, and the best organist in town.
Very beautiful place. Went to see a movie there. Friendly people. If you're a drinker oh, they have a bar. Very comfortable seeding
Have always enjoyed this smaller, quiet theater ..... plus I'm partial to The Chase Park Plaza
Great STL cinemas theater, cool that it is in an old building, cheap tickets. Some of the screens are smaller than today's standards but there is at least one larger screen (not imax).
Really good service and was fun
Wednesdays I'm here $5 shows n a cozy atmosphere
Great matinee specials!
I like Chase Park Plaza Cinemas it's like a hidden gem. I like the workers and never had a bad experience. The smaller theater the seats are a little low for my knees but other than that a great place to see a movie
I love this movie theater! The only downside is that the seats aren’t as nice and comfortable as other movie theaters are transitioning to, but you can’t beat the price of the tickets. Lovely building as well!
They let people in when the movie was already over an hour in.
I love being able to see a movie at one of the most iconic buildings in St. Louis, NO. Besides having about 5 different theaters the theater is located in the Chase Park Plaza Hotel. This theater is one of the few that allow you to have a cocktail or ice cream in addition to popcorn and soda. At the end of each movie Ushers stand outside the theater doors with a tray of mints and chocolates.
One of the best movie theaters in the metro area, and for me, one of the only that I will go to. Excellent staff, beautiful location , reasonable prices (for movies in our modern times), and really awesome special screening and events.
Is it actually old or is it trying to seem old? Either way make up your mind.
By far my favorite place to go to the movies - to not the fanciest in terms of huge theaters and big seats - but your basic theater with friendly staff located in the heart of CWE.
It was amazing the popcorn had butter on it not like the movie theater in da mall the butter was broken and yea i person sent us to da wrong movie i was post to see Spiderman not Hobbs and shobbs so yea it is cold so u may want to bring a cover so yea
The theatre viewing rooms are small capacity, maybe 60 people, so it gives you the feel of an early viewing party or a home theater. The screen is still large enough to bring movie magic to the audience and the audio is stunningly good. Also when I went, tickets were 5$ a person. Parking in the area is horrible in the evening so try to watch a matinee or be ready to walk a couple blocks to get into the theater. Might go again, but not for an evening showing like last time.
I enjoyed miself
This is a great theater; only one of the auditoriums has stadium seating. They serve beer and wine at the concession stand.
Great theatre within the Chase Park Plaza. Great food, snacks and wine. Seating is comfortable and newer. Restrooms need to be redone. Great atmosphere with small club like feel and trio across from the theatre. Close by eating at the Chase Club for casual food.
Cheap an nice
Alot of room quiet in a remote area
Small clean great service elegant
Very friendly. Very clean. Excellent quality seets. Wacky wed $5 all day sweet
Great prices and service
Great central location.. Smaller venue. Better seats needed tho...
Great old theater that has been redone as a 5plex. The hotel is marvelous. The largest theater still has an organ... such a great experience to sit and listen to a live performance before the film. Beer and wine are available. I love this place.
Awesome place, great prices, friendly staff
Good choice of films, comfy seats, clean, friendly staff, beer, parking garage... what's not to like.
Great Time Always When I Attend The Chase Movie Theater! Affordable prices to see a movie and to get soda and popcorn and your staff is excellent! ♡
Great price and very clean
Very helpful staff. Very comfortable seats.
Our favorite place to see a movie! They have a small bar and great service!
It's a cozy romantic little cinema. They even allow you to buy a bottle of wine and sip it at your leisure.
This was by far the best movie theater I have ever been to. The staff was so inviting and friendly. Everything was a reasonable price and the seats were super comfy.
small rooms seats about 30-60 people per room good surround sound with good bass mids and highs the 2d movies are in 2.5d (a lot of depth but little pop) dew to the 3d projectors the 3d movies can be watched from any place in the room. the food is good (though i have only had the popcorn and soda) the people who work the tickets are nice, the same holds true with the people that work with food at the concessions stand.
Eh. For one, this was impossible to find (not the right address listed). We weren’t shown where to go for the movie, the consession stand menu was confusing, and the auditorium and screen are tiny. It was all in all a very disorienting and a bit disappointing experience
Worker was kind and very helpful thank you tell the worker thank you and be bless and safe. Jesus Loves everyone that work there.
Great experience. Cozy and comfortable seating. The food is above average. The snacks are a bit pricy but overall good quality theater.
This is a lovely theatre! It is smaller than many others, but that gives it a sense of intimacy that is appropriate for the films it shows. There is parking on the premises.
Fun theater, definitely worth visiting. Just a note, it is small. Tickets will sell out for popular shows and show times. They're a part of the Cinema St Louis group, four independent theaters in the city. I prefer spending money here over the large chains.
Great movie prices, and such a classic-feeling movie theater experience. My favorite theater to go to. I much prefer it over chain theaters. I would just recommend eating before seeing a movie here since the food prices are pretty high
Small intimate venue with more recent and popular movies. When I was there last, the floor was so sticky that I had to prop my feet up to prevent my feet from getting stuck.
A beautiful historic place 100 years building ....Nice Cinema Great butter Popcorn
The ultimate best cinema experience staff awesome food and drinks awesome
Great little theater. Convenient valet parking. Nice bar for drink or snack after movie. Reasonable price.
Best Upscale Hotel in the Lou Area. With restaurants a outside pool..giftshop ...grocery store within walking and a movie theater .This by far hands down is a classy joint !
This was a nice change of pace from the big multiplexes. It's in an interesting area, inside the very posh Chase Park Plaza. It has it's own parking right across the street so you don't have to pay at a meter. The prices were no worse than other cinemas in the area. I didn't try the concessions. The seats look nice, but I ended up shifting around a lot, as they just don't offer that much cushion where it counts.
Cinema fine, but alert on parking. You must use Chase Hotel parking (which they claim Cinema will validate) or risk tow or ticketing around areas of the hotel. No outside notice is readily seen. No matter where you park, not disabled friendly.
I love this theatre, it convenient ,parking is free (get it validated at the concessions ) walk right in. Clean and very comfortable accommodations .
Truly enjoyed myself.
