Previews and the first few minutes of the movie are washed out because there's still too much daylight. It's still worth it for the experience of an old school drive in.

Great movies all you have to do once you go in is turn on the right radio station

9.00 per person is pricey given it is a drive-in. The parking is a free for all at best. It used to have more appeal.

This was my first time going to a drive-in movie. I was surprised at first when they started late, but quickly realized they were beginning according to the setting of the sun. Which makes sense. But since I couldn't really see the first 1/4 of the movie, it may have been prudent to start much later than they did. There were lights poking out behind the trees beside the screen, which was distracting. The screen was a lot smaller than I expected, and we were in the second row. Plus, people kept shining their headlights. Again, I've never been to one of these before, but perhaps that could be filed under "common courtesy"? In any case, the movie was great. We got to bring our own food, which was very enjoyable. The sound was nice and clear through our radio. But next time, if I want to see a movie, I'll eat dinner beforehand and then go to a regular theater.

So glad they still have this available. It's like old times! Seems like all the good things from the olden days fade out. But not Iuka's Drive-In. I hope everyone keeps coming out to support this GREAT place of entertainment. LET THIS GOOD THING NEVER FADE AWAY! GOD BLESS THE OWNERS AND STAFF. Thanks for keeping this establishment open, if their were more places like this maybe our youth wouldn't be so mislead and on drugs. They have to much free time on their hands. Idle time is the devils playground. God bless you all and everyone reading this. "Be still and know that I am GOD, I will be exalted among the nation's, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalm 46:10

I noticed there weren't any detailed reviews for the drive-in, and being that Iuka is Pickwicks sister-city, I thought I'd give all the "outsiders" a bit more info on our only local, old-fashioned drive-in movie theatre! Going to the drive-in is always a fun experience, and it's just like taking a step back in time for some generations. It's not a fancy place, the parking lot is gravel and the ticket booth and snack stand are just small block buildings, but the parking lot is always clean, the food is good, and you're sure to get a good spot no matter where you're parked! The price is also considerably less than traditional theatres; You entire family can get in for only $5/Car on certain nights and this usually includes not one, but two, brand new movies for one low price! Set your radio station, find a good spot and stay in your car under the air-conditioning, or bring lawn chairs and a blanket and tailgate it! Parents, not only can you actually afford to bring the kids here, but you'll also never have to miss another movie again because of small or unruly kids who just can't sit still in traditional theatre seats! Lol! Just bring them some toys to play with, maybe even a playpin plus a few blankets and pillows, and you're all set! The first film doesn't start until dark, so they'll probably fall right to sleep! The food is also great, and the over-all cost for it is less than other theatres, (meaning you can actually afford to feed the kids here too!) Oh and if you're worried about parking next to loud families, don't be, there's plenty of space for you too! Not once have I ever been bothered by noisy kids... Just park on the other side of the lot, up front, or way in the back! It's a big lot! :-) Iuka also happens to be a great little town with a very low crime rate. So you won't be afraid to tailgate here at night or let the kids run to the bathroom or the snack stand. There's also a Sonic just down the road and lots of nice restaurants in the area should you decide to make a night of it and get something before or after the show. Iuka also has a Walmart, McDonalds, Jacks, Piggly Wiggly, etc. all just a few miles away. It's also worth mentioning that this nostalgic business has been a privately-owned landmark in this small town for decades, so your visit helps keep its doors open for new generations to experience and enjoy!

I love it here! Been going to this drive in for as long as I can remember. Great for families. Clean and cheap. Good popcorn. My kids really enjoy coming here.

The Iuka drive in is a quaint little place that takes you back in time where things were simpler and more peaceful and takes you out of the daily rush. Although in the middle of town and occasionally you might hear some idiot interrupting the movie by hotrodding thier car or maybe a distant train. Other than that its nestled by some words so you really dont feel like you are in town. The drive in sound is broadcast in stereo through your FM radio in your car or your portable radio...theres even a speaker outside the concession stand if you dont have either of those. I saw some hanging speakers for your car but I'm not sure if the few left hanging still work but that's good nostalgia either way. You just have to love the atmosphere and feeling of taking and sharing time with you family. They show 2 movies every Friday Saturday (9.00 per adult) & Monday $10 bucks per car. So they aren't getting rich by any means. I've traveled the 33 miles about 4 times over the course of 6 years but if I were closer and my work schedule and life allowed I would be there more. They have a quaint little concession stand with all your usual movie food, drink, candy, & popcorn. Outside food and beverage is allowed but the concession stand is the only way they make thier money and in turn that not only pays the employees but helps keep it open and improving. So please help keep this place alive by supporting them. Go and enjoy and keep this tradition going for generations to come. They just recently upgraded to a digital projector (tens of thousands of dollars) because film was becoming scarce. They overcame that hurdle which could have been the death of them. Theres always room for improvement. Thing like repainting the screen. Repainting or updating or refurbishing the sign..ticket booths and concession stand but none of this is possible without you going and attending a movie and contributing. So get out and do your part and enjoy this or any other remaining Driveins near you. So bring your car...your family...some lawn chairs...blankets and don't forget bugspray and have a wonderful time with the always friendly and helpful folks that work there. One side note they have a big grassy area down front where it would be great for some picnic tables eventually maybe.
