If you haven't been to Sperry's Moviehouse, go! Some genius decided to take an old department store in downtown Port Huron and turn it into a cool, comfortable gathering place to catch a drink, a meal, a movie or all three! The building itself, I'm sure, will get a little more renovation, but the idea behind it and what's been completed so far is just great. The second floor has a full bar (with a super nice bartender - so sorry I didn't get her name!) and a restaurant. Throughout the rest of the building are scattered small auditorium theaters with comfy recliners and small attached tables at each seat to accommodate the food that will be brought to you while you enjoy the film. You'll have to carry your own alcoholic beverage from the bar to the movie, but the staff will bring everything else! On Tuesday, the night that we went, tickets were just $5 each and there were specials in the bar for appetizers and drinks. We had a great time for a third of what we would have paid at a conventional theater. It was a wonderful time with friends and we'll be back as soon as we can!

Great place to go and watch a movie.seats are comfortable and if you want you can have a glass of wine or beer .Go on Tuesday night and it is like $ 4.00 a person good deal know body else in Port Huron does that.And if you are still hungry food at the restaurant is good and not to much it is reasonable I love it that they did something with the old Sperry's I remember when I was a kid going in there with my mom and sisters and brother . Going in there now brings back memories. And the y yacht club needs to leave the train bridge alone that is alot of history to me and alot of are Adler's some of them had love one's that worked for the rail company and my Grandfather was a Captain of the ship that hualed the rail road boxes from Port Huron mi to Canada rail company if IAM not mistaking it was Grantrunk so please don't tear it down

I enjoy watching a movie here when I'm in Port Huron. I'm a big guy, so it's nice when you can sit in a huge reclining chair with a meal and a beer! They have an elevator, and handicap stalls- very accessible. I find the prices are comparable to other movie theaters, and the food is not massively overpriced either.

Horrible service, horrible food. The waitress brought out the meal that was missing burger toppings, and the 2nd side. No silverware or napkin brought out with the meal, and the check was a mystery of numbers. If the impossible burger isn't available, don't get whatever the substitute is.

Why you would close the kitchen before your last movies even start doesnt make any sense. Waited to eat with the movie just for a closed kitchen, ugh. Other then that, great place. Just dont come after 9pm unless you just want beer ;)

Had an amazing experience using the dinner for 2 promotion. I didn't expect food this good from a movie theater. The price was exactly what you would have paid at another restaurant. The interior is beautiful with floor to ceiling windows giving views of the street below. Booths are comfy and the linens are a grest touch. Drinks were unique and delicious creations. They were fairly priced. The peanut butter stout was a real treat. The food was delicious and made well. The dinner and a movie combo was an incredible deal allowing an appetizer, 2 entrees, and a dessert. We had the build your own burger and the fish and chips. Both came with amazing fresh cut French fries. Dessert was a huge surprise as it was presented with a pretty chocolate garnish.

Great use of a building that stayed empty for wayyyyyy too long and it's a perfect location for a movie house the ONLY downside is lack of seating but other than that amazing experience and I'll definitely be back.

Although we ended up with front row tickets which I usually hate sitting in in other theaters, when you use the recliner chairs, the screen was very visible and not bad at all to watch. We also ate upstairs and was surprised at how cheap some menu items where. I figured like normal movie theaters the price for everything would be high, but the restaurant has decent prices if you decide you wanna eat before going to the movie

I really love the small seating area, the fact that you can choose your seats in advance, and the prices are very reasonable. Everyone is very helpful, with ushers that will actually help you find your seat. The seats are comfy, and concessions are convenient, with delivery available to your seat during the film. I try to come here in lieu of the other two options in the area. Its in a great location downtown, and they have done a great job bringing a historical part of the city back to life. Its nice to not have to drive all the way to the north end when I want to see a new movie. They also offer a reward program, with some great perks.

Watched Detective Pikachu today with my son. The staff was very friendly and answered all my sons questions without hesitation. Even helped when he forgot his headphones on the counter because of all his excitement when they gave him Pokemon cards for coming to watch the movie. The theaters are small but for someone who has children with sensory issues it makes it easier. We had a blast!

The ticket attendant was friendly. The concession attendant friendly. Seats very comfortable. Great price on Tuesday. My coke flat, bathroom experience not so good if you're trying to fit in stall. The design is not good, the door leaves no entry space to literally get inside without cramming body in. The sinks don't turn on easily.. Bathroom not very clean. My seat was dirty and tray attached was dirty. This is the first time I've been there. Nice looking building interior but disappointed overall.

Theater is great, concessions are awesome, I love bringing my kids here for a family movie, or having a dinner and movie date with my husband! My favorite thing about the theaters is the size of each theater. They are small and not over packed. I think that that leads to a better movie viewing experience. It also makes me feel more comfortable bringing my youngest for family movies.

Great old 3 story department store turned into a movie theater. Wonderful restaurant on 2nd floor. Yummy food. Burgers, and Philly cheese sliders are great! Really decent prices for food, drinks and movies. You can even pick your seats online and order stuff from your seats! Very friendly and attentive staff as well. Highly recommended.

Website gave me issues ordering tickets (held the cost of the tickets on my card 3 times - for a week - but the transaction didn't complete) so the manager had to manually process the order for me...she was great and super helpful!! We drove about 45 minutes to get there for the 9:15 show on Friday night...not long after the movie started my date went to get drinks (and food) and was told that nothing was available. I expressed to both the manager who helped me order the tickets and the young woman who I picked my tickets up from that this was our first time here (and my date even spoke to the man in concessions and he told him that we could order food and have it delivered to our seats), yet nobody told us that we would not be able to get concesspions or anything after a specific time. The website doesn't have that information available either...

I've only been here once and it was horrible, popcorn in paper bags, wasn't fresh, no butter in machine, food is expensive, no drink machines like @ AMC birchwood , the chair trays are in the way if your larger then a toothpick, and the projector is too low can't see the bottom of the screen, not good if movie has subtitles because you won't be able to see them at all. Seems like a lot of the reviews are fake, I can't see anyone liking this theater!

Almost as good as Emagine - comfortable reclining seats, good food and drink options, and a clean, comfortable environment. The only issues arise when you realize the recliners are too close to one another; the seat in front of hit my feet and you cannot get out of the rows without disturbing everyone because of the lack of room.

Another movie seen with people who have zero manners and can't stop talking the entire movie. They were asked multiple times to be quiet. We even asked staff to speak to them. Staff came in watched for 5 minutes and left. 2nd movie in a row where people won't stop talking. When are you going to enforce a strict policy? More often than not people can't be quiet.

Sperry's offers fair prices with great deals for members. I get enough points from buying food and tickets that I almost always get one item free when I go to the movies. Speaking of food, the staff is very curtious and kind. I love that you get your food delivered to your seat, it's a great touch. The auditoriums themselves are generally very clean and comfortable. The reclining seats with built in trays are always a joy to sit in. The select theaters with massage chairs are also a great touch. The sound in the auditoriums are way better than any large theater as they have significantly less echo being that they are so quaint. The projectors and screens are quite good. I only have a few minor problems with Sperry's. 1) Sometimes the reclining seats/trays are broken from people leaning on the trays or not know how the seats work. This is rare but it has happened to me. 2) The upstairs concession stand seems to rarely be open. This means if you're in theaters 6-12 you have to walk all of the way downstairs and miss even more of the movie. If you're filling theaters upstairs, staff the concessions. 3) Sometimes the projectors are misaligned from the screen. It's never that bad, most people won't notice. But people like myself with a sharp eye will notice and possibly be slightly bothered. Overall, Sperry's Moviehouse offers the best moviegoing experience I've ever had. Almost every time I go, I have an amazing time. I cannot recommend this theater enough!

It's really amazing what they've done with this building! I would think the original builders/owners would be very pleased. This was my 2nd or 3rd time seeing a movie here and it's a great experience. The renovation was really top notch. The theaters are quaint and comfortable; the food is quite good as well. I definitely recommend Sperry's.

This was and amazing experience. The recliners are electronic and recline quite far. I wish the screen was higher up so that way the unreclined seats caused me to not see the words at the bottom of the screen. Food can be delivered from the amazing restaurant from upstairs. After the movie we went out to eat and had the most amazing mac and cheese. The waiter even went out of his way to divide the food in half so my boyfriend and I could share put food.

I'm still not really impressed by the tables and chairs in the theatre. It makes me feel a bit claustrophobic compared to other theaters in the area. Another thing is it's really hard to see over the top of the chairs in front of you. Either the steps the chairs are on should have been made higher or the screens should be higher. The 2nd floor Cafe is really good though. Love the food!

Just found out that the old Sperry's Dept. Store which had been closed for a long time has been renovated to a 3 story 12 movies theatre which this afternoon we visited. A great place with really comfortable seats. Just like being at home. You can pick up you food or snacks or have them delivered to you. Great friendly service.

Great local theater. Love the seats and cozy feeling. Only down side also has do with seats. Unless they are fully reclined they block the view of lower portion of screen. Maybe 10%. If reclined they are right at the bottom so always in your peripheral view.

Horrible experience! This was our first time going there for dinner. It took 45 minutes just for appetizers. When we got our food it was cold and not really worth the price we paid. There was a guy singing and it was too loud in my opinion. We were trying to socialize with our friends and it was hard to have a conversation over him. Not impressed will not be back.

Sperry's Moviehouse is definitely a jewel of Port Huron. I love visiting it there and typically my experiences are always positive. However, sometimes the staff doesn't seem prepared for the amount of business it gets, and depending on when you go parking can be VERY FRUSTRATING.

My wife loves this place. A very nice theater. Comfortable seats. Food prices aren't bad and they deliver it to your seat.
