I really hate to write this review , because drive ins are great and they are dying out. but This place has really went downhill. they will practically search your vehicle and confiscate any and all drinks or food. the prices have risen every year . and if you own a suv or truck do not go here you will be made to park all the way in the back very far from the screen. . it was once a great place but ever since they have changed ownership it really really sucks. hey run it like a communist gulag. do not waste your hard earned money with these a holes. last time i went there we were in a crossover suv and was told i must park all the way in the back and that they had to confiscate our water bottles. I told them to give me my money back and we had some choice words. will never go back until they change policies or owners.

It can be fun. Don't go on nights that there are bugs or it's going to rain. Also getting current information about what is playing can be a hassle because they don't update their website and its very difficult to understand their voice mail greeting.

Tried to tell me where to park. Had a quarter can of coke coming in, lady wanted us to give it to her. She was really rude when I told her I would dumb it out, and keep my deposit or she could have it for 10 cents. Also would be really nice to state that bringing a radio would be wise, especially for people expecting to chill in the bed of a truck.

Would go there more often but hard to tell in advance what's playing. I live 28 miles away and when I look up what's playing on-line it's usually old. Otherwise, ,it makes for a good night out.

A classic drive in! Tickets are for a double feature and are definitely affordable. Concessions are affordable as well. Staff was nice if not a little prying about if we brought in outside food/drink. I understand it though.

5 Mile Drive-in is a great family experience. It's hard to believe there are only 9 Drive-in Movie Theaters left in Michigan where at one time we had over 150 of these great family venues. Great place to take the family and very reasonable pricing. I would highly recommend this experience.

You can't take nothing in there with you to drink or eat and they are expensive. I like my own water and ice but I always buy there popcorn but it was nasty

Only 1 movie screen and 2 movies per night. Depending on when the movie plays you wanna see you wont get outta there until 2am.

Neat old Drive-In movies, but the way they act about you having food or drinks in your car is a bit ridiculous. They saw a water bottle, that was almost empty, in our drink holder, and "had to confiscate" it. If it wasn't for that, they would get 4 stars, because the screen is a bit dark, and it's hard to see dark scenes in the movies. I understand that they want you to buy from their snack bar, but you shouldn't be made to feel like a criminal if you have a candy bar or a can of coke in your vehicle.

Great theatre with great movies, would rate it 5 stars except for the fact it is nearly impossible to figure out what's playing unless you go there. Website shows movies from a year ago and the phone number doesn't have a date but listed a couple of really old movies. Have canceled several trips because of this.

The nostalgia is nice. The movies they often show aren't the greatest but every now and then they get a double feature where both are good. The biggest downfall is the mosquitoes. Plan ahead for them, figure out a way to Jerry rig screens on your car windows. They will ruin your night.

Yes there are no outside speakers, so being a radio or plan to listen thru your car. But always a great time and great recent movies. Sit in your car, sit outside, choice is yours. Staff does a good job of ensuring car lights are off and not effecting movie.
