Too dark would be nice to have exit lights up..so you can know where the exit drive is
As long as they show anything other than kid movies it's a great place. my daughter and I enjoy scary movies and all summer long we waited for scary ones and finally they had it last weekend. We loved it
Great childhood memories I now get to share with my own child.
Great place to bring back good times!
I wish I could give this place a 5 star rating but the experience I had wasn't the best! I haven't been here in two years and I was so disappointed! The customer service wasn't that great to begin with the guy at the gate acted like he didn't even wanted to be there. He didn't even tell us what radio station the movie was on. The girl at the snack bar gave me an attitude since I was paying my food with a credit card. The BBQ sandwiches that we got was more bread than meat! For that price we could've gotten an actual sub from subway with way more fillings! After the first movie we wanted to get some drinks and the snack bar was already closed! I remembered they used to announce when they would be closing the snack bar on the radio station after the first movie! Man what a waste of money I feel and could've gone to the regular theater in Battle Creek and gotten service with a smile. Drove for 45 minutes was a waste of time! Don't know what happened to this place? But it's a shame!
Great place for couple's or a family night out!
Best place to watch a movie very family and friend orientated i go here every weekend of tge summer with my wife and 7mo. Old daughter. Love this place.
Fun night with the family. I always enjoy the Capri Drive-In.
Really nice. However I have a loud truck that doesn't play the radio unless its running and I don't think there are speakers anywhere for the audio. So movie was really quiet lol. Not Capri's fault, just remember to bring a small radio if your vehicle's like mine.
Decent screen. Decent sized spots. Very outdated bathrooms with ridiculously tiny stalls and very inconveniently placed hand dryers...as in...I got sprayed in the face with water because the dryer was right above a sink and blew the water from someone else's sink right in my face. Lovely. Biggest complaint however, lack of monitoring. They desperately need someone to walk around and keep ppl in check. SOOOOOO many loud ppl! Talking, laughing loudly, opening doors, shutting doors, turning interior car lights on....it was awful. The sound isn't great to begin with and all the extra noise and distractions ruins the experience. You wouldn't allow it in an inside theatre so why allow it there? Very frustrating.
First time here. Brought my 12 year old, who had never been to a drive in. We were both very impressed. Me, for the reminiscing. Great concessions and clean bathrooms.
Great place to watch movies under the stars
Always the best movie experience under the stars!
Fun,fun, fun movies in your vehicle. Comfort food at concession stand. GREAT MOVIES!!
Nostalgic. Love it.
Well run. Very clean and family friendly. Good snack bar. My only issue is I don't like that you can see the other screen (if I'm there with kids on one screen and there's a rated R movie on the other they can see everything). But overall this is a nice place to see a movie.
No intermission during the 3-hour Avengers film. A bit run-down and it was very frustrating trying to find the exit. The concessions building is advertised in the brochure to be featured on a Food Network "Top Five" show, yet featured warmer-maintained burgers and hot dogs and a very limited selection. I was unable to get a glass of ice water. The only drinks offered were bottled: A water and a Pepsi (small bottles) were upwards of $6. The carmel corn and popcorn were good and there was a bit of nostalgia maintained in the interior, but overall, a disappointment. Sad to see that yet another American symbol appears to slowly be going to pieces. Maybe having a greater appreciation for the experience and giving the owners a better turnout would save these unique symbols of who we are. Or were.
The concessions really are amazing. Friendly service. Super clean facility. Crystal clear sound and visuals. Overall great experience and I wish it was closer to me!
Loved it. First time at a Drive-in in 30 years. Fun to experience with my kids. Worth the drive. Will definitely be back.
The snack bar is just like it was back in the day. It was a super fun experience. We will be back!
Its a great family outging or date night.....take chairs an blankets an relax in the grass.
What a wonderful date night idea. Truly feels like a magical blast from the past. Happy to have moved to coldwater in the past week, we will be coming here a LOT
Just visited the area and took me back to my childhood memories. ❤️
It's nice to have a place that caters to families.
Great experience for anyone wanting to watch a movie that is not in the theater!
Family summer fun
This is a summer/fall must. It's such a great family night. So much fun and worth the drive. You can bring a cooler and snacks. Or even have a pizza delivered right there. They also have concessions with some video games chair rental, and small trasistor radio rental for the full effect. Or you can tune into an am channel for free. Tuesday is carload day I believe it's $20 so good deal.
Our first Drive-In theater experience! Everything we thought it would be. Concession was a bit pricey, so if you're not up to splurging...eat well before-hand and bring snacks. Make sure your antenna is functioning properly as well. The staff were great!
Great family night
We had a great time with the kids. They started on time. They made sure that everyone follows the rule. We were pretty excited because it's my teenagers first time on a drive in.
I grew up going to the drive in downtown mt Clemons MI. You know how memories seem amazing but when as an adult it's just that, fond memories. Folks this ain't that! The Capri is amazing, authentic drive in experience. From the communal speakers blasting from the back of trucks with airmatresses in the bed to the obligatory snack and potty run at intermission. 2 screens, 4 great movies I can't say enough how much I love this place!
Great time. Great price. Definitely b back.
I always enjoy a night at the Capri!! Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. My grandchildren now share the joys as I did when I was a child.
My son had a blast.
Great times
Toy Story 4, was Great!
Have been going to this drive in theatre for years. I have loved it everytime I've been able to go.
Great place to enjoy with family for cheap
Great place to watch a movie,
Fun place, good prices and good food choices
The drive in itself is really nice and comfortable. There seemed to be an issue with kids throwing glow lights in front of the screen. Not really sure who to blame on that so I'm still giving 4 stars.
Our favorite mid-west drive in theater . When we lived in Michigan we would drive 2 hrs to go to this iconic drive-in . Great family friendly environment showing new films with a awesome snack bar .
Love this drive in!
Always fun to watch a movie outdoors!Remember to bring cash. They do not take credit cards. But is a very clean place. Good snack bar.
We have been going to the Capri for years. As a family venue it is top notch. The Magocs family are gracious hosts to an evening of wholesome fun.
They charge per person rather than vehicle so our giant truckload of kids was more than expected, but staff was friendly and we had a great time. Although I did not- you can bring your own beer! Awesome!!!
Keep this place open love it
Always go Tuesdays for their carload deal, $25 and everyone gets in! Good movies, fun times outdoors, and decent sound quality (as long as your stereo functions). Movies start at sundown, so Google it and then give yourself time to stop and get snackies at the store first!
I absolutely loved coming here growing up and I can't wait to come back this summer. You can bring in your own food, and even if you don't the food is well priced.
Love visiting here. Kids love playing on the big front lawn before the shows so we usually bring frisbee or balls to throw or kick around. It’s fun to watch all the kids playing before the show. Then the cool retro refreshment stand is fun to go through with great food I may add. GREAT FAMILY entertainment! Hope to be there tonight
Use to be awesome, but they ruined it buy playing only kid movies.
Best drive in theater around
Love it! Been going there since I was a kid and now I bring my family here
I love the Capri Drive In. I live an hour away and try to get to Coldwater at least 4 times during the summer. It's cash only so be prepared. Prices are reasonable for 2 movies. The concession stand has a wide variety of snacks: hotdogs, nachos and of course popcorn. I really like this drive-in because its clean. It also reminds me of family outings to the drive-in when I was a little girl. Capri Drive-In is worth the trip to Coldwater.

Friendly staff, they allow lifted vehicles just gotta park in back row which Is awesome. Foods good. Screen two the last time I visited had to much static not sure why, and to small of a screen for having people that far in the back.
Good place for family fun
First time here..really nice I will be back soon
For throwback fun this is the place
Kids loved it. Food is very expensive!
Family fun that's not too expensive! We saw 2 movies in a row (double feature) and my kids thought it was a blast to sit in the back of the truck to watch the screen and hear the sound over the radio.
My favorite place to go in the summer!
Screen was a bit dim however we all enjoyed ourselves.
The place is fun best movie the best food they give at consection stands and best games and rentel stuff thants cheap to pay and they tell you what freckuencey is at i suggests this place for a movie its the bomb
Always a good time.
Loved this place since I was a kid very kid friendly
Great way to catch a movie.
Pretty awesome theater
Love this place. It's a piece of history I hope we never lose. They have raised their prices though lately which is an unfortunate marking of the times.
I have been going here for years. It is always fun
great family time at this drive In
Still a good place to take the grandkids
My husband and I have enjoyed this Drive-in. People very nice, clean and friendly.
Great place to watch movies
A great time to watch movies
Apparently it is ok for people to have complete home theater speakers so loud that you cannot enjoy your movie on the other screen! Their answer was for me to move! As a disabled veteran I am quite dismayed that they are incapable of telling someone to turn it down and make it enjoyable for everyone. I normally don't complain but I was over 100 yards from his location and I'm the bad guy?
-You get to drive you car into the theater -Their food, popcorn, and drinks are great and wonderful -they also show previous shows that will be showing at the theater
We love the Capri drive in! It’s clean and the staff is friendly!!
My daughter and I love this place, always a great summer night activity. The grounds are always clean, staff is friendly, always a good time. We are fortunate enough to still have a drive-in theatre as they are so rare the Capri has got to be among the best that are left
Excellent place to go I absolutely love it in my kids love going think about it you pay one admission get to see two movies in a comfortable setting of your own car you can set up lawn chairs outside or sit in your vehicle they also have good snacks Beverages and pizza that you can purchase there excellent place to go always love it
I love this place. A part of history has a new birth. I would love to see more drive in movie theaters pop up around the nation.
Really great classic movie experience. The picture quality and radio broadcast of the sound are great. It's a little hard to see everything if the sky isn't completely dark but that's to be expected. The only downside to the Capri is the concession. While there isn't a lack of different options to choose from the quality and value leave something to be desired. Still, an overall fun experience. Would highly recommend for a great night out.
Visited for the first time on 7/23/19 with my wife to watch The Lion King. What a fun place Capri is! It's almost festive the way everyone is with their setups to watch the movie! Clear screen. Good grading to give the front of your vehicle lift so your slightly angled upward. Cool concession stand. 2 screens, double features. $10 a person for adults. Will be going back here very often. Clean spaces as well and staff are accommodating and helpful.
Old school video at it's finest great staff good people arcade snacks did it mention it's a drive though? How many are left? Eleven or something like that. I go every year and if your close enough you should to.
CASH ONLY...However they were very accommodating. So glad they are still there. Thank you.
We drove our RV in tonight, parked in the back row. Fun!
Mosquitos are terrible even though that isn’t really a problem they can fix. But also rented a portable radio which didn’t work. Couldn’t hear the movie at all through the speaker that they had set out.
Clean and food from the concessions area was good and graphics were good.
Great place to go to, to relax. If you have to make a trip, do it.
We come here often. Will always be 5 stars to me. A bit harder to see movies that are darker, but you get two movies for the price of one, you can bring your own snacks/drinks. Be prepared for mosquitoes (you are outside, in the summer, in Michigan why one wouldn't prepare for them is a mystery) you will hear kids talking and babies cry so if every noise bothers you turn your volume up and sit in your own air conditioning and enjoy the drive in.
The Capri Drive-in Theater is always a fun time! Great selection in the concession stand (centrally located). Two screens, and they usually have decent line-ups so you are likely to find something you want to see rather than the leftovers. My only two complaints are that the bathroom facilities need some tending to during the show (it get's trashed pretty quickly) and be aware if you watch a darker show here because their light bulbs won't project well. For example we watched Solo there, and the movie was really dark and difficult to pick up some of the details and surroundings. This was the only movie we had a problem with, and the staff confirmed all bulbs were replaced and working.
Have fun watching two movies from your own vehicle underneath the starry sky.
Awesome experience with the kids and wife
Staff is super friendly. Get 2 movies for the price of 1 and their popcorn is amazing.
It was really good! But the movie played 20-25mins late.
Fun little blast from the Past. Had 2 movie screens with double features playing on each. plus a old school concession stand. If you're looking for Nostalgia this is the place.
Great time at the Capri, movie under the stars. Battery died.. staff quickly got us started. Recommend taking a radio along with you.
Amazing.... its rare to see a drive in movie theater anymore, but this one is even better it offers two movies on both screen, its a fun super chill place even has bbq.
Prices aren't bad for a drive in theater . I highly recommend going. It gives that old feels . Me and my girls love going to it .
Love this place! Makes my day when I go here, would like to bring huge group of friends to a movie!!!!
Amazing place to go for summer and fall nights.
Great movies. Ilder facilities and a bit expensive.
We LOVE LOVE LOVE coming to the Capri!....food and snacks are good... Staff are ALL friendly and welcoming...and most the movie choices are outstanding!...we travel approx 45 miles from home several times during the season!...
Great drive in movie. A chance to go back in time to one's childhood and see a movie the way us baby boomers remember. Good food, not too expensive, and great family-friendly outdoor fun. This twin theatre is ranked in the top ten drive in theatres left in the nation (Only 348 or so left.) You owe it to younger family members to show them a bit of Americana, before it is lost to the ages.
Love that i can have a smoke while i watch a movie. Thats why i dont go to inside theatres. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Prices were very resonable for their double feature night. Only down part i can think of is consession stand was expensive so bring your own snacks and drinks.
A great little family owned business. Has recent popular movies; They had Ant-man and the Wasp the day after came out. Bring bug spray and plenty of blankets and you’ll be sure to have a good time
Really good movies and great prices
Great place for family fun and very friendly. I would recommend this place yo every one.
The only Drive-In around. They are very family oriented. Love going here instead of a regular movie theatre.
We love this place and have been coming here since our first dates going on 4 years now. It brings back such nostalgic feelings! Prices & movie selection is great and concessions are fair priced! Also my dog loves coming with us. Such a fun date night in Coldwater MI! The best drive in in Michigan.
It was a fun experience, the picture and sound quality is good. But the concession stand is looking a little run down, and the quality does not meet the price. Kind of a far distance to drive just to see a movie.
Awesome time!
Amazing spot. 4 feature films, every night during the summer. Great picture quality, and awesome food options. Great for the family, or a date night.
Loved the great nostalgia atmosphere... Awesome date night.. Snuggle under the stars with your honey.. Watch 2 awesome movies..
Really fun watching the big screen outside. A must for anyone
Fair price for a great venue. You can bring a cooler and your own goodies or eat their great concessions. 2 movies for the price of 1 is fantastic. I can't wait to go back.
Been going here since I was child!!! Now I have children and we all love this place!!!
We love this drive in. Good selection of movies. It's kept clean and family friendly. Surprisingly affordable compared to traditional theatres. A good time.
OMG talking about nostalgia!!...great place!
Great venue to take the family. A bit pricey but movie was good, crowds are not rowdy and the restroom are clean.
We had fun for the first movie, the second one messed up and was never played. Waited around for a while. No one ever said anything, made an announcement, or offered any kind of an apology. Just rude.
The only bad thing I have to say about this is the distance I have to drive to get there--it is worth the drive. The food is reasonably priced and the customer service was great. They have two screens and play two double features--if you can stay that late. The bathrooms were clean and the picture quality was decent. I'd highly recommend going at least once each summer. For those that don't know, a drive in is more like a tailgate. This was the first time each of my kids have gone to a drive in theater and they loved it. When arriving you may see a long line of cars parked on the opposite side of the road. That is the line to get in. It took quite a while to get to the check in and pay. It really makes it difficult when your 3 year old has to pee and you have no where for them to go while waiting in line-- you may want to stop somewhere in town before getting in line if you have little kids. The movie starts after it gets dark--prepare to be there late. I think we left last night after midnight and we only stayed for the first movie--you pay for a double feature. You can bring kids (including baby!), lawn chairs, blankets, dogs, and food/ drinks. The business gets its profits from food sales, so, support them if you can. I hope they stay around for many more years. They order pizzas from Hungry Howie's and sell them for $3.50/slice. I'd highly recommended bringing bug spray. They do have some available for purchase if you forget. Lastly, you use your own radio for sound which goes through two different FM stations. You can use either your car radio or a portable radio. If you want to you can rent portable radios for a fee. They also rent out chairs for a fee. I look forward to visiting again.
A great place to watch movies double feature every time flashback to a time long ago bring your own sacks and drinks awesome time
I love this place and make excuses to come "back home" in the summer just to go there.
This is another place that I rate highly because each time I go there I am very pleased with the level of customer service I experience and/or witness. I also like the fact that they are conveniently located. There are many drive-ins left in our communities. If you want to have that experience, this is the best choice!
This place is one of our favourite summer destinations. Its old school and im happy it will be part of my children's memories.
Always an amazing time here, my son loves sitting outside and enjoys the atmosphere just as much as we do.
Love that their still up and running. Great past time to go see two movies for the price of one.
Great price for two movies.. no bad seats.. kids and adults loved it
Kids had a BLAST will for sure be going again...
Great place to watch a movie. You use your car radio or any FM radio to listen to the movie. If you kill your car battery they will jump start your car. They rent radios for $3 and chairs for $5.
They price gouge. 8.50 for a can of cutter mosquito repellent. The movies where very dark hard to make out some times. I used to enjoy going to the Capri with my children and my grandchildren. But I think this will be my last year. Heck if your battery dies they charge you for using their jumpboxes. Not a very fun place to take the grandkids anymore. I think back to walk in theaters will be better for us.
It was a nice experience
Old fashioned drive-in theatre with two screens. Reasonable prices, $9 per adult for two movies isn't bad and they have per car special prices. It's fun to still be able to go to the drive-in!
Old timey drive-in nostalgia.
1st time being here and loved it. Wish the movies didnt start so late, but it seemed about as orginized as they can get. Better than the one in muskegon. Wish this wasent a dying thing now adays. Thanks for a good experience. Only complaint is they gave us a broke down raidio
Great venue! Good quality picture and sound.
Been going all my life and it's always the same. Perfect nostalgia.
Love this place. Very nostalgic. Same owners since fever. Very cool place
Always a good time with the family!
Awesome retro drive in..2 theaters.Highly recommended
Absolutely my favorite place to go for a movie! So nice to have a drive in close to home!
All I can say, "It ain't summer till I go to the drive - in !!" This is our hidden gem of southern Michigan ..a icon ..rated one of the best in the country !! Been here since 1964 !! If you haven't been please go ..I can't say enough great things about the Capri ..love it ! Love it ! Love it !!
I have been going to the Capri since i was a kid now i take my kids and we always have fun. This is a family night out that everyone will enjoy.
Fun For All!!
3rd time this year and it's only getting better with each visit. Thank You for what everyone there does. Your awesome!!!!
It was fun the kids enjoyed the experience. I think the screens can do with a bit of updating.
Great family fun
The staff is friendly and makes sure that the rules are followed (no headlights, etc.). There are quite a few infrastructure upgrades that could be made, but not many that meaningfully impact the experience. Just keep in mind that, since they don't start until dark, two movies back to back leaves you with a long night!
