Only went here because I got a ticket for $4 from T-Mobile. I will never be coming back. Popcorn and drink was way too expensive. And I had to pay for parking. Even with a $4 ticket I still paid over $20 for one person with popcorn drink and parking. Movie was supposed to start at 7. They didn’t even turn on the screen until over a half hour after that. I will always be going to M-89 in Plainwell from now on. With ticket popcorn and drink I can pay less than $10. Ridiculous

Nice seats, I like the dividers between the rows and wide aisles. Sound and picture are good. Friendly staff. Also setting through 30 minutes of previews waiting for the movie to start. Oops they just said don't text and don't post. If you would start the movie I wouldn't be sitting here bored.

The movie was amazing! The seats are wonderful! The popcorn was stale, the food is stadium type food, blah. We paid $54.00 for nachos, chicken with fries, lg popcorn, and 2 lg drinks, on top of the ticket which were $23.00. They do have the coke machine where you can customize your beverage.

Overly large theatre that makes you walk a marathon before getting to your seats, $45 for two people with only a large popcorn and drink, no parking nearby, black girl at concessions was playing on her phone, two white guys at guest service sitting with their feet up playing on phones, popcorn was stale, bathroom hadn't been cleaned in days. The theatre that was at this location previously went out of business, and now I expect they are too after seemingly hiring the same employees and having the same quality and prices as before.

Disappointing. Poor food selection. Of the limited selection the hot dogs were not ready. Their computers kept going down so you had to wait longer to get food. Over priced. To top it all off the movie did not start on time. I will stick with Celebration Cinema for future movies. They are so much better.

The prices of concessions is absolutely absurd for Kalamazoo. This is an example of how you place a business meant to exclude the majority demographic from an activity downtown. Three stars only because it was clean, it's located in town near restaurants, and the movie selections are good. Step your game up AMC and provide real food for those prices or fix your prices to better serve the community. Disappointed.

They're always nice and it's usually clean and comfy. Updating to add...went on a Friday night with my son (we usually do Saturday mornings) and walked followed and watched by security for at least 12-15 minutes. We were doing what everyone else was - getting concessions and getting our seats, but he was on us...sent a complaint to corporate and waiting to hear back.

Prices are extremely high. For admission and snacks. Really nice seating and atmosphere but the outrageous prices make me very rarely want to return. If they don't lower admission and food prices I really don't see them lasting long. Another convenient theater closing because no one can afford to go there.

Typical movie theater for this area. The seats recline with a footrest and there is plenty of space in front of your chairs. I sat in the back row and the railing almost blocked the screen. It was right at the bottom of the screen for me and I'm average height. I wouldn't suggest the back row for kids. Besides that, the food is typical for a theater, but they serve alcohol so that's nice. This is usually where we go see movies and I'd recommend it.

Went for the new Fantastic Beasts movie on the Friday after it opened. Had one person working the ticket counter and two down personal service machines out of three with a fifteen minute wait to even pick up prepurchased tickets. That meant people were coming into the movie well after it started ruining the experience. Kalamazoo 10 on West Main is a much better option.

After dropping Moviepass we joined AMC A-List and have gone to this theater several times in the past month. This theater by far is the best theater in the area. Clean comfortable reclining seats, great sound and picture clarity. The staff is outstanding. Parking is free at the Mall Parking Ramp with a validation slip.

Owners and staff seem to not care about the needs of their patrons. Waiting in line while staff is on their cell phones, no toilet paper or soap in most of the bathrooms, and high prices to boot. Not impressed... It's a wonder streaming is becoming the new movie experience.

Concessions were ridiculously expensive. Lobby was a mess, bathrooms also not clean. Lines were long for tickets and food. 2 out of 3 coke machines no ice or syrup. Rude staff. Beverage glasses were large or larger, only option for kids was chocolate milk at $4 each, no cups for water only water to purchase. Then after all of that had to sit through 30 minutes of previews and a bonus cartoon. Don't bother getting there on time. There is a reason why the other theaters were sold out and this one still had tickets. We won't go back.

A very strange theater. Nearly always empty any time I go and I can't understand why. Even the staff seems absent sometimes. There has been visits where I've gotten my tickets from the machine, got my parking pass from the host in the exterior lobby then went and saw a movie without seeing another soul. There's something sacred yet eery about this place and I hope it never changes. Me and my girlfriend see around 3 movies a week here thanks to the AMC gold pass which is an absolute steal on our part but it makes me wonder how the place stays open when offering such a great deal. 5/5.

Good theater - clean and very comfortable PLUS you can get a drink and take it into the movie. Concessions typical for a theater (that's what God made Five Below and cargo pockets for). Only negative is parking - not convenient.

New theater in the downtown area of Kalamazoo; very clean and has nice restrooms. Theater seating is all recliners and nice and roomy. Lobby has a bar as well as the normal concessions, which are WAY overpriced. I paid about $7 just for a large soda. Thankfully my first born wasn't with me otherwise I would have been tempted to trade him for popcorn. Overall a pleasant experience and friendly staff.

They without me even asking told me to stop at the desk after the movie and they would give me a full refund. This is what good customer service is about!!

This is the best movie theatre in the area. Prices are comparable to others nearby, but you get a little more bang for your buck - comfy leather seats with footrests, a very wide variety of food choices beyond the typical popcorn and candy (i.e. they offer cheese sticks, flatbread pizza, curly fries, and more), and truly friendly staff. This is my go-to theatre from now on.

I typically frequent this theater in Kalamazoo as it’s the closest to where I live. I was bummed when the Alamo Drafthouse closed but this place filled in a necessary void. I’m an AMC A-List member, so having a membership helps with the perks. It’s a convenient location and meets my needs.

Okay yes, we all miss The Alamo, but AMC is great too. The biggest problem and the reason for four stars, is the prices. Most of the time I drove to K10 instead to save money. The comfort and quality of AMC exceeds any other theatre here but again, only if you can afford it. Very clean, floors aren't sticky, reclining chairs, wonderful screens and sound.

The only reason I’m leaving 1 Star is because Zero stars are not allow and my review is purely base in my 2 visits and over all customer service on this place was incredible mediocre and incompetent, when the GM looks like 15 years old of age and don’t care about making sure customers are taking care, create an issue. Too many reg flags to explain all so do your self a favor an just go to celebration at least they have they stuff and employees all put together

AMC Stubs sounds great, but their cancelation policies are ridiculous. I filled out an online request to have my account canceled days ago and didn't hear back. I called the day before the next billing date to make sure I get it canceled before the billing runs through and they said they will still have to bill me for next month because I didn't call 5 days in advance (I filled out the online form..). Not only that.. they said they have to bill me for next month and my benefits will expire on the billing date, which means I would be paying for April, yet not able to at least use my benefits that month. What kind of policy is that? Very disappointed with AMC Stubs and will not be returning.

The seats are usually gross and I don't think they have been cleaned much. I'm talking nacho cheese and other sticky spots and wrappers stuffed into all the seat corners. Sometimes the recliners aren't working. I often find myself moving around the theater to find a recliner that works and isn't a gross seat. Movie selection is limited to the most popular... don't expect to see any indie films here.

The best theatre you will go to in the Kzoo-Portage area. Service is very prompt at the front desk and tickets are sold at a reasonable price. If you like to watch movies often, getting the membership is a good option. Seats in the theater are very comfortable and you can lean back and recline with your legs up if you so choose, and you can order food to be brought to you while watching a movie so you don't miss out on the action!

We were sorely disappointed. Popcorn, 2 drinks, and 2 small boxes of candy for $38? There were gnats around the garbage cans and the staff at the snack counter could not be bothered with smiling or answering questions. I saw one of the workers literally TURN HIS BACK on a mother taking her 3 children to the movie when she had a question. My husband and I LOVED this location and truly miss the Alamo atmosphere, this was so dirty and expensive. We will NOT be returning OR renewing our paid membership if this is what we can expect.

Still extremely disappointed that this is what replaced the amazing Alamo Drafthouse, but it is certainly still a solid theater. If you don't subscribe to AMC Stubs A-list, it's going to be very expensive. AMC charges a lot for even student tickets, so I HIGHLY recommend Stubs A-list. Its $20 a month for 3 movies, PER WEEK, and it even includes 3D, IMAX (where available), and everything. Discounts on food and specials during the week make it worth every penny. Friendly staff are always ready to help as well.

Visited for the first time yesterday. Looks like someone did a nice renovation. I was really disappointed at how even though it was dead, and there were hardly any people out seeing movies, the theater itself was a mess. It was super obvious that no one wipes down the seats, there were grease marks on them and dried up pop spills. There was also spilled popcorn on my seat that I had to clean off before sitting. To pay for a "night out" you know, $12 for a movie, and $20 in snacks, to sit in a dirty recliner is ridiculous. I really wanted to give them a chance, but I am not sure I'll be back. I get they are a business and need to make money, but there is no excuse for the dirtiness. In addition, sitting in row G there were lights on right over us. Though I appreciate being able to see should I need to use the restroom, they were RIGHT over my head and made it hard to tell what was going on in some of the night time scenes during the movie. There were plenty of track lights on the ground/stairs, not sure these over head lights were necessary. Its really too bad, because it could be a really nice theater. The spaciousness is nice.

$12.99 for chicken tenders and not even fully sized tenders. Little fried pieces that are overcooked and only 2 big pieces, 3 if you're lucky. Celebration Cinema is so much more worth it and has cheap high quality food along with sides that come with it.

I typically frequent this theater in Kalamazoo as it’s the closest to where I live. I was bummed when the Alamo Drafthouse closed but this place filled in a necessary void. I’m an AMC A-List member, so having a membership helps with the perks. It’s a convenient location and meets my needs.

AMC Stubs sounds great, but their cancelation policies are ridiculous. I filled out an online request to have my account canceled days ago and didn't hear back. I called the day before the next billing date to make sure I get it canceled before the billing runs through and they said they will still have to bill me for next month because I didn't call 5 days in advance (I filled out the online form..). Not only that.. they said they have to bill me for next month and my benefits will expire on the billing date, which means I would be paying for April, yet not able to at least use my benefits that month. What kind of policy is that? Very disappointed with AMC Stubs and will not be returning.

The seats are usually gross and I don't think they have been cleaned much. I'm talking nacho cheese and other sticky spots and wrappers stuffed into all the seat corners. Sometimes the recliners aren't working. I often find myself moving around the theater to find a recliner that works and isn't a gross seat. Movie selection is limited to the most popular... don't expect to see any indie films here.

The best theatre you will go to in the Kzoo-Portage area. Service is very prompt at the front desk and tickets are sold at a reasonable price. If you like to watch movies often, getting the membership is a good option. Seats in the theater are very comfortable and you can lean back and recline with your legs up if you so choose, and you can order food to be brought to you while watching a movie so you don't miss out on the action!

We were sorely disappointed. Popcorn, 2 drinks, and 2 small boxes of candy for $38? There were gnats around the garbage cans and the staff at the snack counter could not be bothered with smiling or answering questions. I saw one of the workers literally TURN HIS BACK on a mother taking her 3 children to the movie when she had a question. My husband and I LOVED this location and truly miss the Alamo atmosphere, this was so dirty and expensive. We will NOT be returning OR renewing our paid membership if this is what we can expect.

Still extremely disappointed that this is what replaced the amazing Alamo Drafthouse, but it is certainly still a solid theater. If you don't subscribe to AMC Stubs A-list, it's going to be very expensive. AMC charges a lot for even student tickets, so I HIGHLY recommend Stubs A-list. Its $20 a month for 3 movies, PER WEEK, and it even includes 3D, IMAX (where available), and everything. Discounts on food and specials during the week make it worth every penny. Friendly staff are always ready to help as well.

Visited for the first time yesterday. Looks like someone did a nice renovation. I was really disappointed at how even though it was dead, and there were hardly any people out seeing movies, the theater itself was a mess. It was super obvious that no one wipes down the seats, there were grease marks on them and dried up pop spills. There was also spilled popcorn on my seat that I had to clean off before sitting. To pay for a "night out" you know, $12 for a movie, and $20 in snacks, to sit in a dirty recliner is ridiculous. I really wanted to give them a chance, but I am not sure I'll be back. I get they are a business and need to make money, but there is no excuse for the dirtiness. In addition, sitting in row G there were lights on right over us. Though I appreciate being able to see should I need to use the restroom, they were RIGHT over my head and made it hard to tell what was going on in some of the night time scenes during the movie. There were plenty of track lights on the ground/stairs, not sure these over head lights were necessary. Its really too bad, because it could be a really nice theater. The spaciousness is nice.

I hadn't visited this theater since it was the Alamo Drafthouse. It has an updated interior, but the bathrooms and theater floors were pretty gross--hardly any moviegoers there and it felt like they were understaffed. The ads and previews went 20+ minutes past the posted time for the start of the movie. It's a sad transition. The Alamo had excellent food, a great selection of films, events that built community, and original, entertaining material playing before films. I'll avoid going back to this location if possible.

Love the recliners! This theater doesn't get a lot of traffic. If you want to go see one of the big block buster movies, that are hard to get tickets for, this is the place to go! Bought the tickets on the app. Got to pick my seats on app. Used the kiosk to avoid the line.

I had a voucher for a free movie ticket, and chose a 3D theater. First, the ticket price was $14.49. Considering that the screen was so small, this was a bit much. I'd say the screen size is the same as The Strand in Paw Paw, and their tickets are as low as $3-$6. The seats are comfortable and they do recline, however I did notice some with food and dried soda on them. Overall the price is just too high considering Kalamazoo 10 offers bigger screens for half the price.

The Establishment is clean and nice. The chair are comfortable and I feel the view is great in any angle in the theater. Easy Parking Valid if needed. Self checkout ticket is their for people if in a rush or don't want to wait in line. I haven't yet used but will if needed. Lines are always quick for me. Went to see Star is Born on 12/5. Movie never started, nor promos. 15 mins after scheduled start time with NO contract from any theater employee 1 patron phoned AMC and another went to get help. We were rudely informed that movie wouldn't play due to malfunction and we could have a refund on all items purchased and a coupon for a free future movie. Poor customer service, bad attitude of employee. How can the theater not know a movie isn't playing?

Related to this theater but not directly. I got charged twice for the same ticket purchase made on AMC website. I got notified immediately of my charges via a text right after the purchase showing two charges. Called AMC immediately to resolve. Held on the phone for ten minutes then got rep who put me on hold for another 15 minutes then cut off. Called back and held for ten minutes again before getting a rep who told me that she could not do anything and I would have to dispute with my credit card company. NOT acceptable. They should be able to correct their mistakes. I should not have to go through a dispute process with my card company. DO NOT buy AMC tickets online! Poor customer service.

I LOVE this theater! I really hope that someday they will be able to add an IMAX theater to this location but otherwise it’s fantastic! The parking ramp means it’s never a struggle to find a spot and with 4 hours of validated parking it’s no extra cost. It’s a short walk to the theater which is fine, ESPECIALLY since I can kick up my feet once I get to my seat since all of them are spacious power recliners! I use the AMC A-list membership so for $20 per month I can see 3 movies a week which is an incredible deal. I’m heading there later today!

I like that there is a bar there because it makes it a little more fun on date night. The reason I didn't rate it 5 stars is because the bathrooms were disgusting. And I was there for the 1:45 show so it's not like they had all day to get dirty. Every seat had pee on it, gross.

It's hard to believe that this place just opened not that long ago, and the toilet I literally thought was going to start leaking water all the floor it was so loose. IT COST OVER $40 FOR ME AND MY DAUGHTER TO SEE A MOVIE AND HAVE 1 POPCORN AND 2 SMALL POPS. WHAT? The popcorn was stale, the pop machine was nasty, and the seats like 4 seats down from ours in theatre 1 I think it was row E-stunk like someone puked in their "nice" cushiony, sticky, germ filled, bacteria infested recliners and they never cleaned it up right. God what a waste of money. You would think AMC would at least try to get some of their money back from "remodeling" that dump by lowering the prices. I don't know anyone in their right mind that would ever go back a second time to that money pit. I was disgusted to say the least.

Went and seen Teen Titans Go at amc Portage Street 10 with my 10 year old son today and I have NEVER been more satisfied with a movie theater in my life!!!! It was our first time ever going and it was absolutely amazing, everything about it was amazing, the guy that helped us with our tickets was brilliant (I didn't catch his name, but our movie stubs say cashier:2355) and the guy behind the service counter (I didn't catch his name either, but we went to the 9pm show so whoever was working behind the service desk) I would like to give them both a very sincere thank you from the bottom of my heart for being as awesome as u both were with helping me find closer parking and really making both my son and me feel very welcome, if I could give my experience today 100 stars I would no doubt!!! We will definitely be coming back, it was definitely worth the drive that's for sure!!!

Honestly the most disgusting movie theater I have ever been to. My boyfriend and I went there to see the newest Avengers movie. The popcorn was cold. They left the lights on all through the opening trailers and the first 20 minutes of the movie. The theater looked like it hadn't been cleaned at all, trash everywhere, popcorn all over the ground. The womens bathroom was even worse. There was toilet paper covering the floor. I tried 7 stalls before I found one with toilet paper that wasn't completely gross. We will never be back and im surprised it stays in business.

Very nice place to see a movie, but the previews were louder than the movie. The dialogue of the movie at times was hard to hear. Suggest keeping the volume the same as the previews. And, for almost $9, you think you could get full sized popped popcorn.

You can't beat the AMC A list , book seats on the app, no wait in line just walk in, tickets on phone to show whomever is checking, always first in line for snacks, upgrades on popcorn, the movies a week at a low cost. We started 6 mo with the A list and love it. I loved the old service of being waited on in your seat, but the new recliners make up for some of that. We go every weekend, worth the $$.

I love going here on tuesdays. If your a stubs member you can see ur movie of choice for only 5$ no matter of the time frame. Its very convenient. Especially for lower incomed people. I am genuinely surprised by the reviews this theater has gotten. AMC in Kalamazoo, Mi does not have the environment of a movie theater. It always seems deserted with long hallways and few customers. The popcorn is not that great for the amount they charge. Other theaters in the area bring the atmosphere and exciting feeling that AMC Portage Street 10 does not. If you're looking for an overpriced and very quiet movie outing it's perfect.

Wonderful, modern looking theatre. It's got a nice architectural design, very comfortable seating, and the service is great. A staff member volunteered to help find my girlfriend's lost new iPhone without being asked and they put in extra work to help do so (they found it by taking our seating apart). As an A-list member, I love being able to go watch 3 movies a week for only $20/month. It's a great promotional package. The only thing that takes rating from a 5 star to a 4 star is that A-list member app isn't as convenient as it could be (to get your reserved ticket, I believe the theatre should be able to simply type in your name/number into the computer, but currently, you either have to swipe the card you use on the app or find your reservation confirmation code)

Saw a matinee on Christmas day and the price for the ticket was good. However they were severely understaffed and it took forever to get my food, which was insanely expensive, even for a movie theater. The pizza also was literally a frozen pre-made pizza. Guess I assumed it would be more similar to the Alamo, in that they actually do some cooking. Shame that a "real" restaurant/theater was removed for AMC. Don't worry, there are recliner seats and overpriced drinks though!

I went there a few weeks ago and the staff was really nice. Especially one of the employees, JoJo. He was very polite and helpful to any questions I had. He Helped me sign up for rewards and even when another customer was rude during peak times (which I’m sure there’s plenty of rude customers) he still remained very polite and continued to make sure they had the best customer service. He has great leadership skills and would do very well in management/HR one day! I hope to see the best of success with him in this company in the near future!

Cool spot right on the corner. I messed up which theater I THOUGHT I bought tickets for and ended up at AMC. They adjusted my show time for me and was very cool about it. Only complaint I have is that there bathrooms smelled weird (not what you think, it was coming from the vent) and that some of stalls didn't have locks. Otherwise I had great service and watched an awesome movie. Thanks AMC!

Very clean, very friendly staff, but seems to be a lack of employees who understand their jobs and duties. Had employees on they're phone at the register upon entry, she was slightly slow upon greeting me Had an employee on her phone sitting on a stool by our theater before we entered. Was more focused on her phone than the customer. Food was amazing, and phenomenal selection of soda. Seats were clean and amazing.

Waited 20 minutes in line & and we whwre next in line. Then we paid $31 for 2 adults and a child. Went to get some concessions and it was $14.99 for a large soda and popcorn. Added a bottled water for $4.29. Pricing here is insane, added to lackluster service, it ruined the movie before it started. I used to love this theater when it was previously the Rave, but I will never, ever, ever be back.

Getting here is definitely the worst part of this location. The parking garage adjacent is going to run you $5 for a full movie, and the parking lot across the street will cost you $4. So you're going to either park far away and walk, or find some other method of transportation. Or you could try your luck finding 2 hour street parking somewhere nearby. We bought our tickets on Fandango, so we used their kiosk. For some reason it's placed in front of the normal counter when it seems like you'd want to put it out of the way. Regardless, we had no real issues there. Printing the tickets was reasonably fast and pain free. The popcorn and soda was pretty expensive, but that's to be expected from most movie theaters, and they have the modern soda machines with all the new flavors and options. Inside the theater there's a very fancy waiting room, but it was pretty empty despite being a Friday night. The seats in the auditorium itself weren't the greatest. If you didn't recline you would have to be sitting straight up the entire movie, and while the center console can be moved up, it's not completely removed and still acts as an irritating barrier. Overall a decent movie-going experience, but probably too expensive to go for anything but a blockbuster release.

The staff sceems to be really lazy. The staff, while we where in line for concessions stood there and watched while there was a long line and did nothing to help. The bathrooms are disgusting. Crud all over the bathroom floors, stalls with stained seats and missing locks, the mirrors where filthy and grimy, and the blowers had so much grime in them it grossed me out. Seats in the theater that didnt work and jo sign saying anything about it. I will make it an effort to never go back again.

I've been putting off going to AMC ever since it replaced Alamo Drafthouse. It's still not the same and never will be, but on its own, this is a pretty solid theater option in Kalamazoo. The picture and sound quality is fantastic, the leather reclining seats are comfy, and while the concessions are expensive, the Stubs rewards program helps to offset it a bit. The bathrooms were clean, the hallways are still comically large, and the theater as a whole was mostly clean (save for some popcorn kernels here and there on the floor). Speaking of Stubs, the Stubs A-List subscription service is 10000x better than what's being offered right now with MoviePass and Sinemia. Celebration Cinema is still my favorite theater in the area, but if you're into the whole subscription thing, A-List and this AMC are your best options for Kalamazoo. It's no Alamo, but it's still an enjoyable experience and, thanks to A-List, the best value around.

Honestly the most disgusting movie theater I have ever been to. My boyfriend and I went there to see the newest Avengers movie. The popcorn was cold. They left the lights on all through the opening trailers and the first 20 minutes of the movie. The theater looked like it hadn't been cleaned at all, trash everywhere, popcorn all over the ground. The womens bathroom was even worse. There was toilet paper covering the floor. I tried 7 stalls before I found one with toilet paper that wasn't completely gross. We will never be back and im surprised it stays in business.

Love to spend the weekend in here. Not crowded and the reclining seat makes us enjoying the movie. They will validate your parking pass, so it is free for 4 hours. Can't wait to watch movie with them again!

Very nice place to see a movie, but the previews were louder than the movie. The dialogue of the movie at times was hard to hear. Suggest keeping the volume the same as the previews. And, for almost $9, you think you could get full sized popped popcorn.

You can't beat the AMC A list , book seats on the app, no wait in line just walk in, tickets on phone to show whomever is checking, always first in line for snacks, upgrades on popcorn, the movies a week at a low cost. We started 6 mo with the A list and love it. I loved the old service of being waited on in your seat, but the new recliners make up for some of that. We go every weekend, worth the $$.

I love going here on tuesdays. If your a stubs member you can see ur movie of choice for only 5$ no matter of the time frame. Its very convenient. Especially for lower incomed people. The prices for snacks and drinks are pretty high so i usualy just get a drink and make sure i eat before going. But very friendly staff tho.

We love coming here, but please clean the bathroom! The hand driers look like something was growing in them, 2 of the 3 stalls had no toilet paper and they were visibly so so dirty!
