REVIEWS OF Museum of Science IN Massachusetts

Boston_Mama84

Always a good time for any age or group size. Love how they are always trying to out do themselves by adding new exhibits all the time. I thoroughly enjoyed the Mona Lisa exhibit they had. It is pretty costly but worth it. You can easily spend the whole day

Anthony N.

Pro tip. If you are a ASTC member not needing tickets, you can just show your membership and id at the gate rather than wait in line. Awesome museum! The lightning show is definitely a must see attraction. There is stuff for kids of all ages. The biggest complaint is just how crowded it was. Not sure there is a good time to go, but it didn't really thin out like most science museums when the school groups leave.

barbara blakeney

Great visit to the Body World exhibit. Details were amazing. Always love visiting.

Anna Marchetti

Fun interactive exhibits for kids and adults. Entertaining special Planetarium evening shows for 18+. Don't miss looking through the high power telescope on the roof during the summers.

Carol Daxata Diller

Cool science museum. Plan to spend the entire day there if you want to enjoy this place to the fullest!

Ramesh Ramakrishna

A tradition since I was a kid. Still come with friends and I’m 19. The planetarium has great shows like “Laser Floyd”.

Ashley Castro

My family & I love this place, I enjoyed it just as much as my kids. There's plenty to do & you could easily spend a whole day here!

Nicole Smith

I've been to the Museum of Science a handful of times over the past decade and have always found something new to enjoy while also enjoying repeats of favorite exhibits and areas. Great place to spend time with young children or older children. There is a good mix of things for a variety of age groups. Some of my personal favorites include laying on a bed of "nails" and pushing the button to experience how weight distribution works. Putting together a skeleton "puzzle". The electricity room. Checking out potential new exhibits (near the electricity room) - always a good stop for children that feel they have already seen it all :)

Zoltan Wilson

Great museum. One of the best in the Smithsonian catalog. Strongly recommended for kids under 9 yo.

Catakang Games

The absolute best! I loved everything there. It is worth every penny to be here!

cool guy

Great for all ages. Many exhibits. Very interactive and hands on experience. Great price for hours of fun. Food court and gift shop are priced very fair.

Merissa Scheumann

There is so much here! Wasn't as friendly for little kids as I expected, but even my 5 and 2 year olds had a great time. I think it'd be perfect for mid-elementary school and up.

Nadine Barnett

Make sure you check out the Omni theater for a 360 degree, exciting, documentary experience. It's a win win when you can learn something, while entertaining the kiddos. I'm looking forward to going back to see the new "Body World" exhibit, and to check out the butterfly exhibit. I'm seriously considering getting a yearly pass.

John Anibal Gomez

I was thrill of seeing Cheetah robot in person. And also it was worth visiting the math section and see the representation of classical mathematical models.

Irene Pugh

The staff there is amazing. Seems like there's always something new to see. What a fabulous place for families to spend time together. So many interactive experiences. Something for everyone!

John-Paul Ensign

The Electricity exhibit was fun and interactive. Will definitely need to return to see the Electricity show with Tesla coils!

Fullmetal Autobot

Always love the Lightning presentation and body world's temporary exhibit was awesome! And yes they're real cadavers.

Michael Rachid

This is both an excellent and lovely museum, very rich in features for all ages. There are lots of History, technologies and even adventures there. The access is easy coming from Boston: just take the subway and in minutes you're there. Don't miss it: you and your kids are gonna love it. Thumbs up!

ROSE IANNONE

This is amazing!! I learned so much about the human body. The exhibits were totally awesome!!! No

Bhupen Moolchandani

Very costly!! You would assume that to encourage science amongst kids this place would be subsidized or at least reasonably priced. A family of four should expect upwards of 100 dollars to enter in only few parts of the museum.

Jens Jacob Prasse

I think the body exposition is all right. A the same time it was too American in the sence that there is too much religion and too little science. I suppose that's what happens when museums are financed by private funds instead of public support.

Sky C

This museum was so much fun the kids did not want to leave. The lightening show was electrifying. So may fun educational interactive exhibits.

Colleen Geel

super-fun, immediately engaging but very chaotic (children running room to room "doing things" without knowing/learning). I know it's supposed to be "cool-er than school". Lastly, we were there for THREE hours and of the 3 floors/6 wings, we covered 2. To think the museum requires 3 DAYS to complete, the price is quite off-putting. Also many seemingly interesting exhibits for which one would have to pay extra?!

Mo S.

We have visited the museum twice before, last time maybe 5 years ago, and had always come away enjoying the visit and having learned something. But yesterday's visit where we brought some European visitors is the last time we will ever be visiting. $26/person and then $6 here there and everywhere else is dumb pricing to begin with, and what you get for the base fee is an embarrassment. Might be great for 6-10 year-olds as an educational playground, but that's about it. We apologized to our visitors, and for any other visitors, we will visit any other Boston Museum other than this one.

Nam Wook Kim

Not as stunning as I expected but still very good museum. Activities look engaging not only to children but to adults too. Electric show is a must.

Neige Saavedra

Super fun. It's not just for kids either(though I would stay far from the water interactive activities). There are loads of interactive exhibits. And it's a very short walk from the train station. Anyone can have fun and learn here.

Lisa Cox

Great exhibits to bring your kids. There’s so much to explore and learn. Highly recommend.

Heather Bloom

Great fun for kids, and family. Lots of hands on activities and experiences in everything from Physics, to Optics and how the brain processes information. Leave PLENTY of time, because there is a lot to do here. My kids spent almost two hours in one lab alone, making and testing bobsleds. We didn't buy entrance to any of the "extra" things, but didn't lack for fun things to do.

John vonGoeler

Excellent place to bring your kids and spend the day. the Theatre of Electricity is awesome and they have lots of other really interesting shows. You also shouldn't miss the planetarium. Very affordable family memberships ...totally worth it.

Brianne Slauenwhite

Best museum around! I could go here every weekend! It has so many cool exhibits and the temporary exhibits change as do the shows it keeps you coming back! The butterfly garden is always a plus and even though it is an extra cost it is a small amount and completely worth the 6$

Miosotis Nunez

Great place to visit!! The museum is amazing so much to see and do. Great place for lids and grown ups alike. The butterfly garden is very cool(but has additional cost on top of admission). Staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking garage is very convenient but not cheap. Close to Northend and Quincy market.

Lorenzo Colombo

If you want to spend a day with your sciency child/nephew or you are a science enthusiast, this is your place. Great exhibits, and really A LOT of interactive hands on science. Be sure to check the live lighting show and the planetarium! This is not a place to rush through ;)

Lisa Alvarado

What a great way to spend the day with your family learning and having fun. We literally were there from open to close and still didn’t see everything! My 10 year old had a blast learning about electricity and couldn’t get enough watching the butterflies. My husband and I also had fun, it was like we were kids on a field trip! I also recommend the planetarium. It was really cool!

Jamie Bichelman

The museum of science is absolutely wonderful! There are several exhibits that cater to each person’s learning style and interests. There are great learning opportunities for little ones to see the impact of their lifestyle choices on the environment, and child and adult alike will find the many interactive exhibits to be well-worth the price of admission. I particularly enjoyed the “What I Eat: Around the World in 25 Diets” and I cant wait to see how this museum continues to evolve with its exhibits. The view of the Charles River is absolutely stunning, as well.

Aditi Dave

An amazing place to spend your day with your friends or kids or even alone! Spoiler alert: it's not just for nerds.. There's just so many different sections in the entire museum, like the planetarium, the museum of natural sciences, geology, mathematics, theater of electricity and i am sure there are a few others which I could not cover. All of the exhibits are super interactive, meaning that there's a mini experiment for every scientific principle on display. There's also a duck tour that goes to the Charles River but the seats are limited. All in all an awesome place to chill out and learn stuff!

Shannon M.

It was far more entertaining as a child. Museum itself is the same as it's always been (seen it once, you've seen it all). Exhibit halls (which cost additional on top of regular admission) are interesting. Highly suggest The Body Worlds exhibit (it's not terribly big - but its very interesting).

Siobhan Houlihan

There are fun interactive exhibits which use data from you and other museum-goers to display interesting information. It's hard to describe but I haven't seen it at other science museums. Good for a few hours of entertainment.q

Jeston Nighelli

Lots to see with special exhibits. Saw Bodyworld. Good place for children. Has planetarium and timed shows thru day. Food service good and well priced. If going more than once per year, look at memberships. Great savings!

Tony Moreira

I've always liked to Museum of Science even since I was a kid some wonderful science another interest in there but I used to love getting into the Space Capsule pretending I was an astronaut it's a beautiful place to visit you can't rush around to go past everything you have to read what's going on with that exhibits about just take your time folks.

J. F. II

Dated but fun. Don't expect too much "scientific" to come out of the mouths of the average staff member there--just drawing a paycheck. And don't preach about Climate Change of you're not going to encourage more people to take the MBTA versus give discounts to your ginormous parking garage!!!

Yuri Aguilar

I went for the first time because they had a College Free Friday event. It was amazing! Multiple floors with a variety of interactive exhibits.

Victor Petrov

This is an awesome museum and definitely worth visiting. They have updated it recently with personalized tests and activities for adults and children

Kate Skuzeski

We went on a whim expecting to look around for an hour or so. It is expensive but we had a Boston Go Pass. We ended up staying till it closed. At a lot of fun watching the electricity show and playing around. It is a huge museum. Well planned out and a lot of different exhibits. Lots of hands on learning and interactive exhibits.

Prachi Bansal

Must visit for all kids and science nerds of all ages. The exhibit are well thought out for audience engagement and the gift shop had some of the goofiest T-shirts! Had a real tough time picking one.

Yasmin Canario

Great place! Professional employees. Mix of modern and traditional design. A lot to see and learn when visiting ...

Jonathon Linaberry

$29 for adults. 24 for Chilrden! unreal. Not worth it in the least. Tired facilities. EVERYTHING COST EXTRA. Not to mention many things are missing labels(species, genus, significance). I wish I got my money back. PS parking is extra too. what a waste of a day.

Curtis Kleier

Amazing! It will take the whole day to explore everything. If you have a science museum member ship that is part of the ASTC passport program it is accepted here. Just go and present it at the entrance gates no need to get a ticket at the membership desk. If you want shows you will have to visit the membership desk to purchase. If this was a helpful review please give it a

Kelsey Lesh

Huge museum! Plan to spend the entire day if you want to see everything. The exhibit hall admission seemed high until we realized how much they had to offer. It was a great experience for everyone in our group including our toddlers.

Melissa S

A great all day event! Wow, I have never been to such an interactive museum for all ages. I wish I lived closer to visit more often when the exhibits change. 3 wings, 3 floors, so much to see. A very large gift shop across the food area. if you are in the area or considering visit, DO IT!! So much fun!!!

Everett Harman

A very nice place. There's more than you can see in one day. If you go at least three times within a year, membership will save you money and it entitles you to discounts at zoos and museums all over the country and world. Be advised that the parking lot fills up at popular times and you might have to divert to commercial parking a few blocks away. So take public transit if possible.

Alyssa Holmes

I went to the planetarium for a showing of laser Floyd. It was enjoyable. There were cool visuals beyond the laser to make it even more engaging. I plan to return for their other shows.

shai f

This is a great place to go and learn about science. They have people in some of the areas demonstrating things for you. Its alot of walking if you have small kids you might need a stroller.

GaminWithLong

I enjoyed going here very much. There where so many attractions and nice people there. The planetarium was pretty much the best part as it was a live and in your eye show. Overall this is a great museum and I would recommend to any of my friends. The reason for the 4 star is for yet even with all these things I would not consider this a top tier museum. And many things happened during my visit that were not exactly customer friendly. But anyways if you are in Boston you have to check this out its cheap and filled with content.

Luchon Family Channel

Live lightning show. Dinosaur fossils. Always something new to see with changing exhibits. Hands on fun for the kids. Musical stairs. A view of the Charles River from the cafeteria. Butterfly garden, planetarium & theater (extra fee for all.) Parking can get pricey, but very conveniently attached to museum. As a larger family we purchased membership for two and used guest passes for our kids. Plus used membership for discounted parking. Bring your parking ticket with you to pay (credit cards yes) at the kiosks located in walkway out of museum.

Nicolas Fernandez

Fun place to visit for a weekend. It has a lot of exhibits that cater to kids so it seems like a great place to go if you have kids. It's still a lot of fun as an adult but maybe less so. You can get a really great view from the room with the bees. It's also very close to the mall so it's very convenient.

petra mulyani

Nice place for kids to enjoy science. Take your family in the morning, have lunch in the food court, then continue in the afternoon. Thus, your kids can enjoy every floor of the activities. Join the free presentations. Don't forget to see the Lightning session. You can have adds on activities like planetarium, butterfly garden, etc (additional ticket from the general one).

Lia

My daughter and I have come here so very many times, and often with friends. Get the membership to bring your kid's friends along! So much to see and do... great job keeping exhibits fresh too.

Kellie Hubbard

Before my visit I read through the exhibit summaries on the museum's official website. I felt they undersold most of them. My young kids loved the fun and interactive nature of many exhibits--even the ones I didn't expect them to appreciate. I loved the extremely spacious building and well-planned layout. We can't wait to go back again soon.

Karen Flynn

I have always loved the science museum since I've been a little girl and I find it still quite relevant and interesting. Although I was there for a function tonight, a wedding I still go to the Science Museum every now and then. I never get bored. I went to the wedding which was held on the 6th floor overlooking the Boston skyline at sunset it was beautiful. The reception was held downstairs and it was kind of cool to see some of the exhibits out and about so you could check them out. Have fun!

Clarina Emanuel

Very well laid out museum. We went with children and they loved it.

Daniel Call

This is a great museum for kids of all ages. They have free electric shows and interactive engineering challenges. The volunteers have great attitudes. They have a lot of special exhibits and a decent selection of food in their cafeteria. They also have a large gift shop. I have been a member for many years.

Harold Dixon

Ever since I was a child the Museum of science has always been my favorite museum in Boston. Just the vast quantity of varied activities you can involve yourself in once you enter the museum is almost overwhelming. You could just go and spend all day in one or two exhibit halls without seeing 80% of the rest of the museum. Truly rich. See the lightning show and the omni theater

Mike Krasinski

Worth while to visit if you have the opportunity. Duck boats were a good time.

Helene McMurray

Nice sized museum, covering every area if science. Particularly fun we're the playground physics and Charles River ecosystem sections. Triceratops skeleton, Cliff, was pretty cool too!

Blake Ericson

Tons to do for all ages. The museum is impressive. There are many exhibits and thousands of informational bits. It is hard to get it all done in a day if you are being thorough. The Body World exhibit going on until December 2019 is incredible. That being said, be wary of the busy times. There are kids running around everywhere, rudely jumping in front of displays and taking things right out of your hands, and overwhelmed parents. You feel rushed on all 3 levels of the museum. Very chaotic at points. I am sure it is a great overall experience when it is less busy.

Bradyn Lystrup

This place is great for all ages. Whether you're an infant or a senior you'll enjoy your time spent here. The exhibits are entertaining themselves just to walk around and see but their shows, particularly the electricity show is very entertaining and I'd recommend attending. If you live in Massachusetts and have a library card you can get tickets through your library and save some money. Otherwise I don't think their ticket prices are high or outrageous. I think it's still worth the money.

M

should be clearer that it is for children. as an adult accompanying children you’ll be entertained enough but it’s very expensive. Not to sound like an old codger but there’s lots of emphasis on the high tech exhibits but natural history areas etc don’t even have explanation plaques anymore, you have to go look it up if you’re unlucky enough to care.

Nidhi

Love this museum! It has so much to offer. Great for kids! Might take an entire day so keep that in mind.

Apollo Maldonado

You guys really need to check this place out!! Amazing experience!! Definitely check out the "Bodies" exhibit. (Disclaimer: not for the faint of heart)

John Deane

Absolutely fantastic. Worth every penny. We spent just shy of 8 hours there and only did about 2/3 of everything available with just a regular admission. Add in the extras and we didn't even manage 1/2 in a day.

R U

It teaches science in a practical way with examples. It’s good for kids and teens. Adults might get bored. It’s also good for science grads and post graduates. Entry ticket is too costly.

Midgard Moose

Not only are the staff really nice but the exhibits are too! Have you ever seen such precise work in taxidermy animals?! Me, being so avid in moose , was please to see the full sized bull standing right there! The live animals are adorable (Love that ferret!), the space section is awesome! Revisiting the Museum of Science brought back memories from when I was a little child, 6 years old and oblivious to the real world. If you want you or your kids to have a memorable experience that they'll remember, take them here!

Jessica Williams

Awesome time, but I wish that they would change the exhibits like they do in other museums. Some of the exhibits have been there since I was a kid which was the last time I went!!! I'm almost40!! Still amazingly fun place to bring the kids!

Igor Deyneko

I used to come here as a kid and haven't been in many years. The museum has been updated, great organization, very logical. The exhibition has been updated as well. Loved the body exhibit!

R McQ

Brought my family of four here (12 year old boy, 6 year old boy, and two adults) last Thursday, Oct 3rd during our trip to Boston. The museum itself is beautiful and easy to access via walking. You could easily stay an entire day here. Most of the exhibits are interactive and perfect for any age. The museum had a live show with an owl on the day we went and we found the show informative and entertaining. The floor with the human body exhibits were our favorite and the employees that worked on that level were exceptional. They took their time to work with my six year old on putting the pieces of a human body together. They were friendly and patient the entire time. While we were there an employee was dissecting an eye ball. Along with the exhibits, the museum also has a cafeteria with decent food choices and a really cool gift shop. I just wish we could have spent more time here.

Pravin Charles Vaz

A really awesome place for a family visit ! The museum covers most areas of science with hands on interactive activities wherever possible. They have the original Van de Graaf generator and there is a show on electricity which is cool. They have animals in dioramas which is traditional museum display work. Also have an engineering workshop in the morning along with an education lab for teachers/ students. Well maintained !

Brittany Mulcahey

As always, the MOS was a huge hit! My 6 year old had a great time, and so did my sisters who were visiting from out of town. Fun for all ages. We even visited the butterfly garden and Bodies exhibit (additional admission fee) and they were totally worth it! Friendly staff always willing to help.

Peter Ceres

The Museum of Science is a fun place to take the family for a visit. Your paid admission lets you into three levels of exhibit halls. For a reduced fee, you can add on to your exhibit hall ticket the Omni, planetarium, butterfly garden, or 4D theater. The butterfly garden, located in the blue wing, can only be added if you have an exhibit hall admission. Entry is allowed every 15 minutes beginning at 10am with the last entry at 4:30pm. They have live presentations throughout the day. Check the schedule for times and locations. I highly recommend watching the lightning show. You will not be disappointed.

zoe ratliff

A very interactive museum. Good for all ages, young to old. I would definitely recommend.

Nicholas Klingler

Kid focused science museum with some interesting exhibits. Plenty of tactile exhibits and few bad computer games, a personal peeve of mine. Highlights include the world famous Hayden planetarium and the electric show, the presenter of which was great. Actually found the math exhibit in the same room as the electric show to be one of the most interesting things. It hails from the time when there was no desire to dumb down education and if you can follow it there is some fascinating mathematical weirdness in there.

Equality Forever

Great hands on activities for children to adults. Nice shows and presentations every little while in multiple locations. The museum is clean, fun, and a great experience for everyone

CommandBlockKid

The Museum of Science is a great place to spend the day! There are so many exhibits to explore, and each one gives you more knowledge of science in general! The exhibits teach you everything from dinosaurs in the cretaceous period to the development of technology to get humans to Mars! The gift shop is pretty darn awesome, and there are many items, from astronaut ice cream to water powered clocks! Can't get enough? You can even stay overnight! You'll need to do that in advance though. Go ahead and explore today! It'll be worth your time!

Jamie Garcia

I wish we could have spent more time here (4 hours just wasn't enough for us lol). Amazing displays and interactive exhibits! The Body's exhibit was breathtaking. The lighting demonstration was fantastic! It's a must see if visiting Boston!

Marshal Laycock

Fabulous science museum with something for everybody. Had just two hours to spend, so barely scratched the surface, but loved every minute. Great live demonstrations by talented presenter. We saw the electricity demonstration as well as the Magic of Science show, both by masterful Terry- educational, interactive and entertaining. Lots of hands-on exhibits on just about everything. Nice modern open spaces. Large pay garage is attached to museum- convenient with no getting wet on rainy days.

Kristin McIntire

If you haven't seen the body exhibit yet, I would highly recommend it. It was an amazing exhibit, using technology I've never seen before. I could have spent the entire day exploring this exhibit if I had more time.

Lisa A

I would have given 5 stars, but the cafeteria closes 2 hours before closing and the planetarium everyone was pretty much asleep. The fact we pay extra to watch the shows, they should have better picture quality. Everything else was very interesting!

Judy Clavin

Boston museum, spacious levels, great for children to run around and explore exhibits, conducive for school field trips, yet, thought usage of space areas lacked cohesive flow when compared to Los Angeles or DC Smithsonian Museums of Science and Technology. This Boston museum displayed themes in differently unique ways by comparison. Close to transportation station, a short bit of walking to the museum.

Bem Atsma

Better than many other science museums I've been to. Spacious setting with many different halls/areas. The electricity show was pretty good...playing Super Mario on Tesla coils was a great touch.

Hussien Ashorobi

Nice place to bring kids too especially if they're of age. Just wish that we could've received parking validation. Besides that easily accessible by public transportation.

Casey Kaczmarek

I love the Museum of Science. There's always something new to see and its a nice balance of hands on and informative. The lighting show is fun for all ages and the Animal exhibits are great for kids.

Chris Tomlinson

Awesome family time! Great exhibits, interactive fun, and amazing shows!! Make sure to catch the lightning show, it's great!

TINA GEE

Amazing place to visit for young and old alike. We love it so much that we finally have a year long membership!

DJ Serg

Kids loved it. Both our 10 yr old daughter and 6 yr old son. Both had plenty of age appropriate activities and exhibits they each enjoyed. This is out 2nd visit this year because there's so much we didn't get to do the first visit and we already saw new things. Staff is also very well trained and great with the kids.

Kristtyan Romero

It’s bigger than I expected! The amount of areas to be covered may be a little overwhelming so make sure to plan accordingly. Cover half then have lunch then the rest. They have interactive sections that are great as well, only reason why I don’t give it 5 stars is because some of the areas were dirty/smelly where people take their shoes off to walk over this machine that analyzes your gate.

Georgia Nagel

Awesome place to learn! Could spend weeks in it. Only down side is that you have to pay extra for every little bit; the entrance fee just gets you in the door, the exhibits are paid separately and very hefty prices too.

Stephen Stryhalaleck

Easily one of my favorite museums to visit. I could go once a month and never get bored. They do a great job with rotating exhibits. Oh and the electricity show is a must see.

M Barnes

Extremely interactive! Great for all ages in all exhibits. On caliber with the Smithsonian in a lot of aspects. Did not attend any of the extras as we were pressed for time, but would definitely go back if we travel through again.

Shawn Gaffney

First I've been coming to the museum since I was about 10 years old. I always wanted to live closer to the museum and now I'm only 35 minutes away! The Boston Museum of Science is always a good time. If you're visiting the area and looking for a great way to spend the day this is a must. If you live anywhere within an hour of the museum and want to have something fun to do when it's too cold to be out in the winter or too hot for the beach I highly recommend buying a premier membership to the MOS. My wife and I have been members since we moved to MA and there's always something new to see. It's a great place to walk with kids or babies and it's a great place for new parents to get out of the house with an infant. Our daughter is 4 months old as of this review and we love going to the museum with her. It's a great way to get out of the house they have a nursing room and they obviously allow breastfeeding anywhere you feel comfortable while visiting the museum. The bathrooms are always clean and they even have changing tables and designated diaper receptacles in the mens room which is a huge plus for me since most places either dont have them or only put them in women's restrooms. We will be upgrading our membership next year as well because we love bringing friends and family to the museum. The price difference between the various levels of membership are not much when you consider the cost of going once.

Steve Anderson

Visited for College Friday and it was wicked cool. Started off on the Duck Tour with Sarah B Goodwich for an amazing guided tour through some of Boston and in the Charles River. Sarah did an awesome job and I feel lucky to get her as the guide. Also watched the lightning show with Paublo for another great experience. It's been a long time since I've been to that and it didn't disappoint at all. Love the singing Tesla Coils! The whole museum and all the exhibits were really great also. The ticket takers didn't seem like they had much customer service training but you only see them once.

Maria Lozada

Absolutely love coming here. So much learning and so much visual in interactive areas for both kids and adults.. Perfect place to go on any day rain or shine.

Prachi Patel

One of the best museums I have seen so far. If you are in Boston you should definitely visit it. Also if you are a science buff please plan atleast one full day for it

Michael Orlinski

If you have kiddos you'll go at some point but be sure to check local library for discount tickets as it's WAY overpriced. Exhibits are dated and building itself is dark and 1970 concrete block architecture. The lighting show is the only area that my crew enjoys bit that's a whole 20min. The Discovery museum in Acton or the MIT museum is far better and cheaper.

Shawn Miller

This place is amazing! We allowed 3 hours and that wasn't nearly enough time. Highly recommend it.

Dark Dagger

This place is marvelous! Amazing for anyone to go there and I honestly hope that nobody doesn’t like this place. The museum is very kid-friendly and all the staff is kind to the children. There are parks and little structures for kids to go inside of or explore. But, at the same time, the kids can listen to very educational stories through small telephones if they can’t read. All in all, one of the best, fun, museums. I recommend this place to everyone!

Abhirup Dutta

Best place place to geek out in all of east coast. Great for people of all ages. A lot of cool stuff to learn and be amazed at. Exhibits range from the oldest inventions to the most recent technological developments that are taking place right now. The place has enough exhibits to take up a whole day. You will be guided through the exhibits on clearly marked pathways.

Mike Giroux

We were on Safari in Tanzania and stopped in on our way home, 10 minutes inside and my 9 yr old said this is way better than Africa. Best Science Exhibit I have ever been to. We went 2 days and could easily have spent a week and not seen everything

Daniel Rockey

Crazy crowded, but for a good reason. The place is wonderful, jam packed, and at a reasonable price. The only issue I could see that could use improvement is how to guide folks through. As it stands right now, people are all over with no guidance.

Kathryn Sheehan

Always a great place! I've had a membership off and on for years based on the special exhibits. I love that you can see a special visiting exhibit, the planetarium, or omni theater without paying for admission to the whole museum - just those places

Gary Gregg

Families, adults, and kids from all over the world will love this incredible Museum while visiting Boston, or for locals just looking for something incredibly interesting to do on a free weekend. Amazing!

Shruti P

Very well maintained museum with a variety of exhibits and demonstrations. They have a range of activities throughout the day, so make sure you are in the right place, at the right time. The planetarium and omni theater were an amazing experience too!

Iker Enecoiz

Really cool museum. The ticket price is worth the experience. I was here when the body art expo was being show. Definitely a must go if you are a science lover. Would recommend 2-4 hrs visit.

Phill Leon

Wow this was so much fun!! My little one was so enthralled and had such a good time! My inner geek was ecstatic. Plenty to do to occupy an entire day. So interesting and immersive. And fair prices. Would definitely visit any time we're in town.

Rachel Chapman

Lots of cool stuff! I really enjoyed their new environmental themed exhibit on the first floor! So inspiring

Great place to take the kids but very inner child friendly as well. If you aren't a member, be prepared to pay a pretty penny at the door. Active duty military gets in free. This place is really well kept. The views of Boston all around the museum are breathtaking. Give yourself a good 4 hours to see all the exhibits if you have kids and do yourself a favor a check out the butterfly garden, its Instagram gold.

It was my first time going there everything was nice, Educational and amazing. The staff was helpful and professional.

Caelyn Sandel

One of my favorite museums! Some exhibits are getting a bit long in the tooth and don't quite work the way they used to, but it's still lots of fun for kids and adults alike.

Museum of science is established in the 18 th century is the pride and prestige of Boston city. Fossils of trees and rocks goes back to millions of years ago. Dinosaur and it's footprints are the main attractions of the museum's. In addition space and wild life information with law behind electricity and lightening are informed to the students. Mathematics and puzzles helps to the creativity and rationality behind science. Indeed it is a best museum.

Awesome must-visit place if you are in Boston! Tons of cool exhibits and around $75 to see everything. Military get in for free with ID

Wonderful place to be with a curious and active kids. Mine is 5 years old and there were plenty of activities she enjoyed. Her favorite was sneaking up on a bird.

Jenelle Klaassen

Had a very stimulating time here! There is no way to see all the exhibits in one take. Very innovative. My 10 year old was fascinated!

Alberto Quintana

Entertaining and fun place. It was unexpected. Definitely recommend!

Aaron Braswell

This Museum is full of the science. It is as awesome as you would expect. There is a new $5 Dinosaur Bone-Glue Fee which you can pay to the handsome gentleman out front before you enter. He will be wearing a red Polo shirt and not seem shady in the least. Okay, maybe he's not handsome, but he is more or less symmetrical.

Jeffrey Archer

Very fun place to spend the day. Human body section was very interactive and by far my favourite part or the museum. Make sure to check when the electricity shows are because we spent so long in other parts of the museum that we missed all of them.

Nice museum with an on site parking garage. Currently has Body Worlds exhibits, which is an incredible addition! It's a MUST SEE. This museum isn't the biggest ever, but it's got lots of cool interactive exhibits. The museum is open late on fridays and currently allows students in for free on fridays. A great combination for a nice after class time.

Kyle McGahan

Their exhibits are always informative and engaging. Lots to learn for both kids and adults alike! Last time I went I saw the Body Worlds exhibit and its fantastic.

Levi Lawrence

We enjoyed visiting the museum as there were lots of cool things to do. We walked around for a few hours looking at the different exhibits and interacting. The transit leaving the Museum of Science isn't easy to find so we ended up riding the blue bikes which worked just fine. It is in a nice location by the river.

Terri Tuttle

We got there too late to do much. Luckily, the exhibit hall passes are good for 6 months. What we DID get to enjoy was the Body World's Exhibit.---absolutely fascinating! Do NOT miss this incredible travelling exhibit.

Cliff Gillette

Great place. I haven't been there in almost 20 years when my parents took me. Now as a parent my child loved it. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Will be going back.

Bill Taft

Full-strength nostalgia. The lightning show was as good as my 12-yo self remembered. We were there for for hours and got about 2/3 of it seen, and no movies.

Melissa LeBlanc

Absolutely amazing. So well done and interactive. Extremely large. In awe.

Robin LaBerge

Working in the medical field, I particularly am always amazed by the human body. Everyone should have the chance to see this exhibit if they can!

Brittany Castro

I really loved the Body Worlds exhibit and highly recommend it just because it's so unique but overall, the museum seems pretty headed towards children so I didn't enjoy the other exhibits as much. Also, you need to pay extra on top of the museum ticket in order to view some of the exhibits (most of which are the highlights).

Pretty good place, clean. A little pricey for a museum. A few things not included on price. Extra stuff adds $$$ . Food was ok, nothing great. Dinosaur section fairly small. Parking was good.

Took 9 months old granddaughter to the Discovery Center at science museum. Wonderful play space focused on learning in many ways. Great for ages crawlers to elementary ages at the Discovery Center. --- 2 1/2 yrs old now and the museum is still one of her favorite places in the world to visit, just after papa and nana's house, of course.

It's a classic. Went there when I was in 2nd grade and a handful of other times over the years. This time we stayed overnight in one of the exhibition halls! A real night at the museum! The exhibits are great. Too many to recount, but very high quality. I was really surprised at how reasonable the food prices were. Good quality, too. We had a delicious breakfast at Puck's. The museum of science is a must if you're in Boston!

Shaw Miller

A large and relevant collection of educational exhibits. The main exhibit rotates every ~8 or so months, and most of the other exhibits have been updated over the years. (I’ve gone here since I was a little kid and it’s never gotten old!)

Oblivion

This place is great. It is super close to public transit and great restaurants. Great place to go with friends and family. A very educational place as well! I love the whole museum. One exhibit is always changing to a new subject every couple of months, and the membership is well worth the money. It is greatly entertaining for kids and can even teach adults some things about science! If you are around or live in the area, I would definitely recommend.
