It is a beautiful older style theater and the workers are very nice and helpful! I love it there! The prices are cheep and the popcorn has to be my favorite thing. I been there quite a few times and I plan on going again soon!

Historic movie theater in heart of historic Chatham. Hosts current movies as well as County film festivals. Also has special showings of classic and highly rated but lesser known movies. Reasonable pricing. Comfortable inside as well as attractive. Pleasant employees.

A community gem. Prices are slightly higher now than someone else mentioned (still nowhere near as expensive as most movie theaters these days), and they do have air conditioning now.

The Crandall stands tall among movie theaters. Its price for first run movies is $6.50 for members and $7.50 for nonmembers. Not only do you get a discount as a member, you get a small popcorn, which has always been fresh. I'm not an additional butter lover, but the Crandall uses real butter, not "golden flavor." The recently updated HVAC keeps you comfortable in an old theater. You can always get a seat, except when they showed the first episode of the new season of Downton Abbey before it appeared on TV. Finally, they show fantastic indie films on Sundays. Try going, you will enjoy it!

James Hogencamp

The workers are nice and friendly like the people who live in Chatham. They give you extra butter. It's a small theater for a cheap price that shows up to date movies and has cute free movie events from time to time.

I've been coming here since I was a child and this place does not get old. It is nice to see a community come together support a landmark and interact with one and other at this site. Please consider putting off watching the latest releases for a few weeks in order to be blessed with the experience of watching a movie at a one of a kind.

Always a delight to go there with family. I like the old style theater archetecture and hopefully they will be able to restore the interior to it's old world charm. I will continue to see movies every year when I visit family. Rock on Crandell!

Mike Heavers

Very beautiful historic theater with more than enough seats for the crowd it services - the Crandell is never full. Some folks say the seats are uncomfortable, though while they've definitely got some bounce and sag, I found them comfortable enough. Movies tend to be fairly current, and tend toward the more art-house, indie side of the spectrum, though at any given time there's usually a blockbuster in the lineup. Slightly less expensive than the average cinema, friendly staff.

Great small single screen theatre.

Mark Ganem

The Crandell offers a wonderful hometown moviegoing experience. It is a historic single-screen theater where you're likely to run into people you know. I suppose it might be nice to have a few more amenities, but I'm just happy this place is still around to enjoy.

Peter Campbell

Wyatt Coe

The perfect tiny local theater. Nothing will blow you socks off, but the convenience of the place is great! Almost always have the newest films and only a five minute walk from my house!
