A lovely little theatre, great place to catch a show in the afternoons. Lack of stadium seating can be an issue.

Paul B.

Great little old-fashioned theatre with great atmosphere & reasonable prices.

Samantha

Very full on a rainy summer afternoon! Arrive 30 mins beforehand! A great experience, clean, good sound system, good screen, nice people. Lots of parking in a nice area. Art museum and other interesting stores in the vicinity as well. I'd love to return.

Peter Cassidy

over the years I have loved this place... the vibe, the movies, the whole thing.... and this summer - 2019 - what happened to the good, edgy movies. Line up looks very thin and rather crap IMHO. New managements. What is the story....

Julia Silva

Awesome time and lovely service. The theater is gorgeous and the whole experience is unique!

Robert Donovan

Bought tickets online but they have no process for getting people through the door. Had to wait for 20 mins in the rain with everyone who hadn't bought tickets. Buying online guarantees you a seat but no process for getting you physically inside. Don't care how "charming" this place is supposed to bs. Unorganized, unprofessional. I will never be back. Maybe if and when they join the real world

Paula Krupp

Love new seats

Jo Jacobs

A must visit every season on the Cape! Great shows, in a fun atmosphere! You’ll go back for sure!!

Rich Vossel

Wonderful art house cinema with a great atmosphere. Saw the 50th anniversary of Yellow Submarine beautifully restored with great sound.

Kate Zentall

Love coming here, just love it. Great selection (and would there be even more of it), comfortable seats (tho the unraked floor makes for difficulty reading subtitles if someone with big hair is sitting in front of you). Great old building. Beautiful murals. A treat.

Paula Dejong

Funky and great films

Kendra Bourne

Christina Kemprecos

Who could ask for a better venue than this to see the Wizard of Oz?!?!

Alexandra Dolan

Beautiful theater with fun retro look and feel. Pillows are available in the lobby to make your screening more comfortable. Had a great time! One of the more affordable movie experiences as well

new seating!

Mark Elliott

What a wonderful discovery! A lesser-known Cape Cod gem full of local color and history. Discretely selected movies and small live productions on a proscenium stage. Built in 1930, the vaulted auditorium ceiling features a dreamy Deco mural by Rockwell Kent. Seats about 300 in separate arm chairs. Staff is friendly, enthusiastic and helpful.

Love the new seats and glad they kept the funky atmosphere. No place like it on the Cape.

Kathleen Wright

Love the movies shown here, not your typical local movie theater showings, and not your typical theater. Rockwell Kent and _____ (I can't remember her name) painted a magical mural on the entire ceiling which is dome shaped, and instead of theater seats there are armchairs arranged in rows. The decor in the entrance to the theater reflects it's history. They hold special events at the theater that involve a personal appearance by a movie's director, or someone featured in a film, for a question and answer period or a discussion. We are most fortunate on Cape Cod to have this gem in the area.

Joao Bras-Jorge

I will always remember this movie theater! So "off"!!!

Fabulous. Thrilling to experience the ambience of an historic jewel with its beautifully preserved murals by Kent.

Great movie titles and old building. It's right behind two really good restaurants for date nights. The murals on the ceiling are interesting too. The only negative is uncomfortable chairs.

Janis Sommers

I love the Cape Cinema for its ambiance

Virginia Henderson

Large theater like the old days

Steve James

Upscale, local and historical cinema that brings movies, televised opera and ballet, plus other specials to the Cape. Snacks include healthy options made locally. Fantastic original Art Deco ceiling mural asked new comfy chairs.
