Perhaps one of my favorite movie theatres!

Jeff Kryger

Old school themed cinema in the middle of a town square complex. Looks like they do a lot of one-off themed showings, along with all the new releases. Theatres are below ground, but surprisingly large. Reserved recliner seats, quality picture and sound. Friendly staff. Parking is via paid lots which is annoying, but it's only $2 with validation

rarijingeki .

The interior has that classic 70s feel. the reclining chairs are were nice and the staff at the theater were pleasant and understanding. The sound quality at the theater though seemed somewhat muffled and didn't have that surround sound effect

Jasmyne

Best theater Ever! Friendly, helpful staff, clean & comfortable environment! My favorite is the reclining chairs

Bianca Marie Deriquito

Pretty good. Altho sometimes very confusing were to go. No signal inside.

Jeffrey Roland

I've only been here a few times there's always a long line and long wait for hot food. If you want hot food expect to wait at least 20 minutes. Parking is another hassles. There is a parking lot across the street that cost 2 dollars with validation, and it's small. There are other theaters in the area with free parking, and plenty of space.

Greg Yingling

The reclining seats are awesome! Overall quality is pretty good too, though I did notice the volume during previews (and perhaps the whole film) was too high. I also noticed what appeared to be heat related swirls at the top of the screen - minor, but distracting once noticed. Still, I like this theater.

Jazmine Howar

I could not get into the movies because they said that they had to check my purse.. but some dude got in with a backpack full of snacks. I felt racially discriminated. He thought I was bringing in weapons with me. Then he called the manager and said he needed to check my bags. They were both only 11! Then another lady had a women’s baby taken out because she was distracted. Also, a bystander who was not involved was also discriminated because of her race. She was minding her own business. There were causcaion people at the top telling us to “Shut the F up” and to “Stop acting like that”. We did not feel welcome and they had security guards and managers come to escort the father of the baby. This is not right and they need to have the racial discrimination and the ignorance!

David Brown

If you want to get screwed out of $10 go here. First the correct parking lot (one that validates) is easy to miss, but even if you use it, the parking lot will not recognize the validation! So if you want to be screwed by spending $12 on parking for 3 hours I would recommend this theater.

. .

Nice seating, but the parking validation doesn't work half the time as they let the ink run low on the barcode machine. The theater refuses to do anything about it. Then you have to deal with parking garage staff who are rude and clueless. Contacting through the website, per the form letter response from this theater, garners zero response. Not worth the hassle to come here again.

Paula Tully

The theater itself was great. Spacious, clean, and comfortable. The problem was the concessions. Staff would just abandon the counter while people were waiting in a line at that register. It would have been better if all folks were pulled from a single line so employee (re)movement wouldn't cause upset with customers.

Alex Huilman

Not the best nor worst theater experience I've ever had. I'd probably go again if I happened to be in the area and had a movie I wanted to see.

Robert Couch

Popcorn was burned but was resolved without issue. A/C was turned off around 10pm. Theater was so hot and uncomfortable that couldn't enjoy the movie. Why have movies showing until midnight when A/C is turned off early. Will not recommend for evening movies.

Stephanie Miller

We had a ticket issue and the manager resolved it immediately. Friendly staff! Love the assigned seating and reclining chairs. Clean theaters. Excellent value for cost. It's out first pick for movies!

Thomas Bostroem

Really nice cinema, reclining chairs, good sound. Escalator was broken so it took forever to get out of there.

Nykerria Dubose

The a/c was out so that was very uncomfortable

Danielle Rice

My favorite theater! We see lots and lots of movies. The staff here is very nice, the theater is clean and offers reserved, reclining seats.

Theresa Holston

Not my favorite theater especially for the price. There are way better theaters for the same price!

Mustafa Harris

Always have a great time in this theater. Great atmosphere, seats are comfortable, staff are very helpful, and it is clean!!!!

Rain Williams

Nice place it has two levels and plush seating. It's very clean and also my first visit to that location

Santosh Bhor

Usually our experience is very good but we went there on memorial day watching Aladdin with kids and we're disappointed.... The air conditioner was not on and it was very unpleasant experience.....

Itay Yanay

Very nice place

Nigel Daniel

My family and I will drive to this theater over a closer theater because we like this one more. I like being able to pick our seats when we buy the tickets and we've never had any issues with cleanliness or anything.

Hailey Lewis

I like this theater. If my mom and I want to see a really popular movie that just came out but don't really want to deal with a crowd we go here. It's kind of in the cut. I'd recommend getting the pretzel and not the pretzel bites because they taste like cardboard lol but that's no fault on the theater. I've been going here since I was younger and the first movie I saw her was the 3D one about the flies. That was my first 3D movie.

Sheela Wells

I love this movie theater, in the heart of Rockville. The theater is always clean, but they could use a little more help at the concession stand, OK a lot more help...

Firstname Lastname

Nice theater. No bubble gum on the floor. Expensive snacks- outrageous food prices.

Bob Gilstrap

It is nice and clean.the staff is good and their ticket taker was excellent

Venom GT72

Great movie experience

Alverta Jolly

I had a great time

Kikidi2742 Mills

Great selection of movies. Assigned recliner seats.

Steve Pokropski

The reserved reclining seats is a great touch for this renovated theater. This does limit the number of available seats. Get your tickets early especially if you are a group wanting to sit together. The sound quality was excellent. The biggest let down is the concession stand registers and line. There are not enough registers for the line demand.

Aviv EM

Great local theater with comfy reclining chairs and good viewing angles. Very close to good restaurants and often have deals for discounted tickets with food.

c block

I always forget the arms of the chair are fixed. Which makes for a lot of movement when with a child.

Charles Nelson

Overall the experience was good. But the lack of a down escalator was somewhat problematic.

Maggie Sabol

Place is very nice, just wish it didn't cost so much to park and movie tickets are so expensive even with the club card.

gabrielle s

Leonard who was checking tickets was a pleasure to chat with. We came in on a slower night and he engaged with us before and after the movie, very nice guy. Alena was awesome and went out of her way to make us a fresh batch of popcorn! The manager, Eric, overheard us commenting on a new popcorn option so he actually brought us some to try while we waited on our food! Everyone was just so accommodating and pleasant to be around. It makes all the difference when you can tell the employees are happy to be there and serve you! Regal Rockville has a wonderful staff! P.S the bathrooms were immaculate!

Jennifer Nwadike

Easy to park, clean and spacious theaters. Comfortable seating and quick service at the concession stand. We found our go to theater.

Yolanda Williams

First time in THERE not their fault that my big headed boyfriend wanted to see the Avengers on opening day. So all theaters had only the nose bleeding seats that hurt your neck, eyes, and ears

Juan Montesinos

It is a great theater, with very good comfortable reclining seats, it is always clean. Screens are okay although in one of the theaters you will be old hear the A/C over the movie. Staff is very nice and helpful. Be ready to get there early on weekends, the line to get tickets may be long as usually only two booths are open and people take a long time to choose a screening and their seats.

Chell skillz

One of my favorite theaters to go to. I try to see one movie a month with the kids. Always a pleasant experience.

Adrianne Banks

Best movie theater hands down. Comfortable recliner seats, you actually get what you pay for.

Andrew

Love this theatre. Been coming here for over two decades. Parking is a pain for larger vehicles especially if it's busy time in the middle open lot as cars back up for 20-30 minutes to get out. Plenty of restaurants around the area, especially across the downtown crown area.

Ricardo Cook

Very nice theater.

Very good.

Great theater with excellent seating. Our go-to location for most movies in the Rockville/Bethesda area.

Christopher Lee

Nice, clean theater. All stadium, reserved recliners. Parking can be tough on weekend, but they validate. Lots of close food choices. Close to Metro. Never had a problem with rough crowds here. Theaters are on the smaller size.

Brit H

They cant figure out how to play the movie. It was supposed to start 10 minutes ago.

Blair Heiserman

Ear bleeding volume. The theater has been overhauled with reclining stadium seats. The screens and projection are great. However when my entire family had to hold their ears through the entire movie because it was so loud. It pretty much destroys any ability to enjoy the movie. It's been an hour since I left and my ears are still ringing. Choose another theater that knows how to set safe volume levels. I did not go for an action block buster, but a family movie. When the volume is too loud during standard dialog something is off.

Sadikquah Flowers

This Regal needs to do better at the concessions stand. It is understaffed on weekend evenings. The Silver Spring Regal is much better and you can order concessions in advance online when buying your ticket.

Manuel Alonso

Yep, always nice there. The old man that works the parking lot is hella slow..even when the line of cars is backed up he takes his sweet old time giving everyone there change. They should put in a ticket system like Pike and Rose. It would save the customers slot of time and the company could save money by getting rid of the old man,,,,or repurpose him for another task in the company.

Nicole Holsey

Seats are very comfortable

I went to see Annihilation yesterday at 6:45pm with my wife. And half way through the movie the lights turned on and the background music began playing. A viewer went to go talk to the manager to try to fix it and also rewind the movie because we couldn't here about 10 minutes of it. Well they did rewind it and were able to turn off the music but the left all the lights on. And near the end of the movie the music came back on again with no sound to the movie. And again someone else complained to the manager. The movie was great but the whole experience was ruined do to all of these other distractions. I tried to talk to the manager myself about it after the movie ended because I pretty much missed all the dialog to the last 4 minutes. And after someone called her, she never showed up to talk with us after we waited around for about 10 minutes. So we left.

Bali Adawal

A nice place to watch movies right in the heart of downtown Rockville. They do not have free parking though it's not very expensive. Right across the theatre is a paid parking lot and if you get your ticket validated will cost you $2 only. The theaters have the deep Lazy Boy kind of seats that you can push-button to recline. They also have reserved seating which means you are allotted or you can choose the seat at the time of booking. Overall a good, clean and well maintained place

I’m extremely disappointed with this movie theater. We’ve been coming here for years and this was the first time we have been let down. The fire alarm went off literally in the middle of the avengers movie. Obviously the alarm is out of their control and wasn’t caused purposefully by them but what really upsets me is how they handled the situation. There were hundreds of us outside waiting around to be informed of what was going on. Finally, a manager comes in a megaphone and says the building could not be cleared and will not be opening anytime soon. Then he says begin one line for readmission tickets. There are HUNDREDS of us and the line was ridiculously long. He would not allow any of the other staff members hand out tickets which would have sped up the process. The manager’s name was Eric. He appeared to be the only manager on duty and I’m sorry to say but he was flustered, rude, inefficient. The staff of like 10 just stood around doing nothing, not answering anyone’s questions, didn’t know what was going on and would rudely answer “I don’t know” super annoyed when asked what was going on. Being a former theater manager for a luxury movie theater, it was extremely clear to me everyone including the manager lacked the proper training on what to do in these situations. Thank goodness it wasn’t an actual fire of any sort because the staff would have been useless. It honestly scared me and angered me enough to know I will never return to this cinema. My next step will be contacting regal’s corporate office about this. They have to know their staff didn’t know how to handle this unfortunate situation and they were unfriendly, unprofessional and rude. They’ve lost customers and will continue to do so if they don’t train their staff who represents their brand to care and respect their customers. *** In repose to Regal who replied below. I did email customer service/contacted corporate as I said I would and did NOT receive a response.

Liselle Sisler

Theatre was clean. Seats comfy. Added bonus, street festival was going on that day.

My husband and I went to see Star Wars yesterday. The movie was great but the experience with parking was horrible. We parked in the lot in front of the theater. If you validate parking it’s only $2 to park which is reasonable. We validate our parking when we purchased our tickets but inserting our parking ticket into the machine next to the ticket counter. After the movie as we were pulling out of the lot, we were hit with a $12 fee. Since there were cars already behind us we went ahead and paid. My husband pulled out in front of the theater and I ran inside to talk to the manager. The manager sent me across the street to the parking office which was the street. It’s only $10 but the principle of it bothered me and the rude response I got from the parking office ruined our date. I thought I would share this experience to spare others from this.

Diana Meuten

Fantastic!!! Reclining seats extremely comfortable! Large screen and great sound system. Staff very customer service oriented. Looking forward to our next movie.

Wing-Mei Ko

This movie theater has cool things. Arcade games, reclining seats, and a nice retro feel. The reclining seats are incredibly comfortable and there is plenty of space between rows so people can walk through without you having to stand up. Great place for movie night.

Austin Search

Cozy chairs and friendly staff. My only complaint is they forgot to open the curtain all the way on the movie i went to see so the edges were cut off.

Anthony Brown Sr.

The later the movie the better the seats and you can enjoy your time

Akita Hodge

Rude and ridiculous customer service by many staff members ending with a member of Management which explains everyone else. Everything that glitters ain't gold. Germantown Rocks, staff and Management is Great in GERMANTOWN!!!!!

Josh Wilson

Generally a decent selection of movies, comfortable "recliner" style chairs, a good selection of snack choices and usually the movies play without issue. I have experienced an couple showings that had audio or visual issues, but the managers have always compensated with free movie passes for the next time. Movie Pass is also accepted here, so that's a plus.

Rena Levy

Seats are very comfortable. Shows lots of previews.

Vicki Harrison

Great reserved seating, i.e. wide recliners with cip holders. Your view will never be obstructed. As with most theatres, avoid the front row unless you want a strained neck. Parking typically runs a few dollars. Theater has a parking validation machine at the ticket window, which takes about $2 off.

Chiranth Hegde

Good theatre and great seats. Super comfy and nice staff.

Justin Storms

Waited 25 minutes in like for concessions with only about 7-8 people in front of us. Theater was huge with a pretty small screen.

Matt Fertig

Great movie theater little too pricey tho

Brenda Williams

Love the seating. Snacks are a bit pricey, but the staff is awesome. Also, parking is NOT free.

Joe George

I always liked this theater because it's kind of out of the way and has never been overly busy but it also falls off my radar because of that. Good service personnel and clean theater too.

Joel Seppala

Pretty easy in and out with convenient parking nearby. Wide seats with elevating footrests make for a comfortable theater-going experience. I think they need to upgrade the popcorn quality and general atmospherics. Descending the escalator to the concession area and screens feels a little like going into someone's basement. Showing classic films in addition to first-run films is a nice touch and adds some class..

Tessa Whithey-Dalton

This is my favorite movie theater close to great seats !

Mayra Esquivel

Service was great. Out movie started right on time. The bathrooms were a bit messy, but I blame the rude customers for that. Other wise it is fairly clean.

A. Thomas Grunley

This is a very nicely appointed movie theatre and we frequent Regal in Rockville Town Center quite often. They have large comfortable reclining seats and I don’t think there’s a single bad viewing angle from any of the seats in any of the theaters. The concessions are ridiculously overpriced but that’s just common to the theater business, I guess.

Nick Ballam

Great theater with both reserved seating and recliner seats. Ticket prices are only slightly higher than other theaters in the area. Movie projection quality has been great for every movie I've seen her so far.

Mr. High_Maintenance

Spacious reclining seats along with awesome customer service and adorable food can't beat it.

reodle kowalski

Great place to watch movies and the seats are comfortable plus they have a variety of snacks to choose from to eat during the movie

Rebe Brown

Nice theater.

Jennie Mabb

Everything was terrific except the escalator is out and they will not let you climb up as stairs after movie. They will not let you use stairs period only elevator; which seems an enormous fire hazard. Of all was functional 5 stars.

Judy B

I had an almost identical experience today as the person who commented before me. I rarely post a review, but I'm so frustrated that I wanted to share my experience and warn others about the parking situation at this theatre---especially because it mirrors the experience before my comment. Like the previous commenter, I parked in the surface (outdoor) parking lot in front of the theater. When I left, I used the validation machine in the lobby of the theater. I went out to pay for parking in the garage, as the signs in the parking lot advised, and was charged $12. When I got home, I called the theater. They were nice, but not particularly interested in my problem, advising they had no control over the parking lot situation. I asked them to check their validation machine; they said it was working. I asked for the phone number for the parking lot as well as for the Regal Cinemas corporate office. After being transferred three times at Colonial Parking, I was finally given another number, and a name, for the person who I was told would be responsible for providing a refund if warranted. I got voice mail and left a message. I doubt I'll ever hear back. As I'm writing this review, I've been on hold with "customer service" at Regal Cinemas (corporate office) for 34 minutes. Just as I was about to post this review, someone at the corporate office finally picked up. (So I've changed the ending. Here's what happened.) She was gracious and offered to send me a couple of movie passes to rectify the situation. I greatly appreciated that---actually that should have been the response I got when I called the theater. The passes are good at any Regal Cinema, and so I'll plan to use them. I'm not, however, planning to rush back to the Rockville location. The parking situation is really not a good one. It's not the first time I've had an issue parking there.

Maisha Davis

2nd time at the theater and service was ok, unfortunately we lost a bank debit card and asked for help finding inside of theater and then asked for the help of the manager who has very bad Customer Service Skills. He needs to take a CLASS in CUSTOMER SERVICE. He stated "he was busy". Fact is... it should never matter if a customer is ordering, waiting for an order, lost something, we should all be treated the same.

ruth .

i saw endgame here. thats history

Jill Lane

Very good movie theatre. They have redone the seats into recliners that are so comfy you don't mind a 2 hour movie. Very clean. Senior Discount.

RodG1300 .

They started the movie without video/audio, on two different occasions, for two different movies (perfect blue and a silent voice). On one occasion they didnt rewind the movie, and because it was subtitled qnd there was no video it was impossible to know what was happening. For a silent voice, screen was very scuffed up, and they had the movie cropped wrong such that you couldnt see the top subtitles. Avoid at all costs.

Deirdre Angelastro

Great movie selection, some movies that don’t come to mainstream theaters you can see here

Ivan Garcia-Hidalgo

Back again after a month. Nothing has changed, terrible popcorn. Worst ever at a movie theater. Ordered orange Fanta and it tasted like anything but that .what a disaster because you can't get up and exchange or get money back or you miss the movie . Great seats, concessions are the worst by far. Save the money and don't order popcorn or soda, not worth it even if it were free. Two stars because of the seats. Otherwise, no stars!

Cameron Walker-Miller

DO NOT PARK IN THAT PARKING STRUCTURE NEXT DOOR. Even though the sign says "park here at night", and all the meters out front have 1/2 hour limits, with no other options in sight at all. We did and came out after our film (along with a few other patrons) only to find the garage locked, from all entry points. After hours of waiting and phone calls and two different visits from Police, we were finally let out--3 hours later. The officers explained its something they go through on a regular basis.

Fa DC

Possibly one if the worst regal movie theaters. Security staff are also invasive if you have a bag. Leave your belongings in the car or at home. Super terrible.

Janaki Kuruppu

Our seats had trash around them from the previous guests. Otherwise, good experience. I like the reserved seats, and they're very comfortable and recline

LIEN Tran

Wing-Mei Ko

This movie theater has cool things. Arcade games, reclining seats, and a nice retro feel. The reclining seats are incredibly comfortable and there is plenty of space between rows so people can walk through without you having to stand up. Great place for movie night.

It's not the first time I've had an issue parking there.

ruth

i saw endgame here. thats history

Jill Lane

Very good movie theatre. They have redone the seats into recliners that are so comfy you don't mind a 2 hour movie. Very clean. Senior Discount.

RodG1300

Helene Chazin

I went to see a movie and accidentally left an expensive lumbar pillow in the theater. When I called to ask if they could check and see if it’s there they refused to go in until the next movie was over. This is a Health device and I think it is important that no one in that we would at least check and see if they could find it. Believe me I am not walking into

Michael Lynn

Good seating and venue. Kids keep pulling fire alarms or someone smoking in the bathroom has required them to make everyone exit the building twice while I was there recently.

Jake Jacobs

might have to pay for parking. Nice theatre with wonderful leg room and seats. As with just about ask theatres, snacks are way over priced.

Blue Berriess

Best and most comfortable cinema

Shannon Hamilton

Not impressed. The movie theater was incredibly dirty and smelled like old hot dogs frankly. Also, it’s was 90 degrees out today and their air conditioner wasn't working. Tickets shouldn’t be sold under those conditions.

Allan Cobb

I had Regal discount coupons through my workplace and manager Pietro made it possible to apply the coupons to my previously-made reservations, thanks again and well done!! Always a pleasure to watch movies here in the spacious and comfortable recliners and the staff overall is quite friendly and helpful! An overall outstanding and fun experience!!

Andres Garcia

Reclining chairs don’t recline all the way in all theaters, not sure why they put a wall behind every row of chairs but it defeats the purpose of recliner chairs. They also seem to have issues with the A/C system. Last time it was super humid and hot, and there was no air circulation. Parking can be a pain. Overall not worth going here. Staff is friendly though.

Moldir Myrzakulova

Nice cinema. Love watching movies there.

Tykia Jerry

The best movie theater I've ever been to hands down.

Tyler Devilbiss

Printing tickets that were ordered online was super simple.the seats are really comfy and recline with plenty of room. Overall the theater was quite nice and clean.

Philip Raskin

This place was our go to until it got rundown. It was recently renovated and now has reserved seating and electric recliners. It is clean and modern with very helpful and caring staff. Try to avoid the front row though because it is very hard to see the screen and if you can see it, it will be distorted.

Alexander Peterson

This is my favorite theater because of the luxury seating and accessibility to standard (non 3D) film format.

Unique Monique

My family and I love comin to this theatre. We went to see Show Dogs on Saturday it was good. Always clean and the staff is always friendly

Caroline Cañas

The seats don't recline far (that could be a spoiled thing to say). A lot of middle school/high school kids running around without their parents, and I heard a lot of chatter during my movie. But seems to be very family friendly. Definitely the movie spot for the younger humans.

Laura mcAtee

This theater is NOT handicap friendly. If you do not come in on a stretcher or a wheelchair, don't ask for a seat in the handicap row. With the exception of one manager, I have had to jump through repeated hoops, even having to provide my handicap parking permit card to prove I can't do steps. I am really sick of the third degree from a bunch of kids, and the management of this place. If other Regals in the area had the better chairs, I would definitely be be there.

isaac cox

Usually, I have a great time at regal. However, one of the escalators wasn’t working (which isn’t really a big deal), but when our group saw how crowded the elevator was we attempted to use the emergency stairwell by the bathrooms. There’s no alarm and we’ve never experienced any issues using it before. Perhaps it’s the theater’s policy not to use it, but that was never explicitly stated. The security guard that approached us was extremely rude. He only uttered the word, “No.” There wasn’t any explanation or anything like that. Just, “No.” over and over again. It was like a recorded message coming out from a person. Everyone else we interacted with was super friendly.

Phil Barber

Very comfortable and nice movie theaters. The front seats do not recline far enough.

luzelenya ramos

Loved the movie the chairs, the clean bathrooms, the older man down stairs taking your tickets and showing you were to go. The only issue I have and continue to have is that the young man who rings up your tickets at the booth, who has been there for a while now and I don't know if it's only wknd bc that's when I usually go, is ridiculously slow. I mean so slow that the couple behind me left. He seems like a good guy but just takes this job as if its the boarder patrol. Then he yarns, stretches, has personal conversations. If he can get some help, that would improve a lot of frustration.

M A

The theatre is convenient, comfortable, and good quality.

Jamie Ramsey

You can select your seat. All seats recline and there is enough room for other to get by and no one will ever kick the back of your chair. I highly recommend to get there early (if it is not a mantinee) as the concession stand line is usually long and the workers are in no rush; in addition, if the lights have already been turned down for your movie it is a little more challenging to find your seat (if it is your first time).

David Fair

Amazing place fo watch a movie. Why go to a regular theater when this option exists?

Love77

Seating is great...could be cleaner My star 2 rating is due to the fact the parking is by the hour. Movie.patrons should be able to be discounted

Alena Biagas

The reclining chairs are nice. Food prices are outrageous, but you expect that from a movie theater. Expect to pay over $5 for a small soda (which is quite large). It was pretty clean and not packed although I still do not understand why they have the first row seats which no one ever can see from.

Lloyda Forbes

First time. Enjoyed the comfortable seating immensely! It's a bit loud, though, because of the surround sound. A tad overwhelming. Will be back, however. I think I am hooked!

maria omega

The cinema chairs have a fleet raise. Very comfy!

Helene C

Typical theater with wonderful wheelchair accommodations. Should have rated lower due to concession stand. Add at least 20 minutes for any cooked food.

Helene Chazin

Bought tickets to a movie, went downstairs and no one was there to scan my tickets (literally anyone can just walk into any random theater and watch movies for free). I Wandered around the lobby to see if any of the movie titles were posted to its corresponding auditorium. None of the auditoriums had any of the Movie title's displayed. Apparently you have to speak with the employee at the concession stand about your movie.

Regal Rockville Town Center did a complete overhaul of their theaters. This was the first Regal to do recliner seats in the area. Everything else is the same from 10 years back except for the reclining leather seats. $14 a ticket is a reasonable price. The only real difference now between this theater and iPic is food service (you pay almost $10 more for iPic or $3-4 m more if you're a member)

Mike Duffey

Very Very nice place. Food was great. Seating was wonderful lot of room.

Bryan Amaya

parking doodoo, theater amazing food amazing

CRENJ

Location is nice and seats recline nicely. However the concession stand is slow similiar to the last Regal I visited. The MAJOR issue with this theatre is the movie viewing experience. The picture quality is poor and even worse they show movies on screens larger than the movie is formatted for. So we litterally just watched a movie on 70% of the screen. Think movie flanked by black bars on each side. Terrible!

Elisa Salas

Convenient, particularly during non peak times

Tricia

Movie started at 935, but the previews did start until 941. The previews played for about 10miins and we couldn't see them on the screen until the last 5mins of previews. The movie played for the first 15mins with the lights on in the movie theater. The experience was horrible and I'm respectfully asking management to contact me for a refund for me and my guest.

Edward H

Love the seats

Andrae Taggart

One of the best movie theaters that you can go to very enjoyable I love to seating how it's reserved I love how the seats feel theaters have the loud surround sound and privacy while watching a movie next best thing to being in your own home theater

Marsha Benshir

Most comfortable seating anywhere. Good sound system. Reasonable prices. Love that senior discount!

Samantha Sekellick

I’m extremely frustrated with this movie theater. The pick up tickets modules were not working so there’s was a huge line on a Saturday afternoon and they only had one person on the counter. After waiting 20 minutes I showed them the tickets I had bought at Ticketsatwork and they wouldn’t let me pick a movie bc they weren’t printed. So we tried redeeming them on their mobile app and it was going to charge us extra for doing so... what? And that wasn’t indicated on the tickets. So we end up just driving back home. A waste of time.

Tina Jiang

We went to see a movie at the Rockville Town Center location yesterday. We ordered food from the concessions stand; we got corn dog nuggets and chicken tenders and fries. An employee came out and called out chicken tenders and fries/no sauce and my fiancé and another customer both went up to get it. My fiancé took the order but gave it to the other customer who claimed she ordered before us. When I got my order, we asked the concessions stand employee about another order of chicken tenders and fries. She stated she already gave us an order, we explained to her that another customer said she ordered before us, so we gave her the order first and we would just wait. The employee said “I already gave you an order so why did you give it to someone else”. So she never gave us the food we paid for and I had a receipt as proof. If we are not to believe others when they are waiting at the same place and stating they ordered before us, employees at the stand should be verifying the receipts as they give out food or be calling out order numbers. We have been charged for something that we never received and the employee did not even try to sort it out. I am very disappointed in Regal and the experience I had, I will not recommend anyone to go to this location. I have already contacted customer service/corporate about this and expect to be contacted.

Olayinka Wilson

A bit expensive compared to other theaters

Skylar Rainbow

Decent theater. I came here 10/21/17 to see My Little Pony: The Movie. Not SUPER fancy, but still very nice. Loved the upgraded reclining seating as well as a decent enough auditorium and screen size. Beautiful lighting inside the lobby. Only thing I disliked about the experience was the fact I had to share a theater with noisy kids that kept walking in front of me during the movie.

O .

No complaints, just compliments: It’s been years since I’ve been to this theatre and lots has changed: electric reclining seats, reserved seating (awesome), and a wide range of food selections, not as much as dine-in theatres but still a good variety of options to hold you over during the film. Oh and the staff is very friendly and kind, I’m glad that hasn’t changed

John shideler

Comfortable seats and nice clean theater.

R2M3

We enjoyed watching the Lion King like kids

Aniruddha Das

I watched avengers infidelity war and it was a good experience. All the theater are down stairs and you have to go down to reach there. It's in the heart of the market and metro station. Also Rockville bus stop is walkable from there and it's easy to communicate. Nice place to spend some time.

Michellene Kerr-Gordon

The ceiling was literally falling in on us during the movie! They should have had it in another room... poor management decision

Kevin Gray

Very relaxing chairs. The staff are very chill and nice. The sound and quality of the movies were good!

Arjun Oberoi

Very expensive, but is an okay movie theater.

Cristian Pelaez

Good theater and nothing really to complain about.

Matthew Campbell

Great location, for movie theater, large comfortable chairs, and small theaters. Also just a short walk from multiple restaurants

John Williams

Good place but it is Rockville. Trouble parking

MrAlejandro11111 .

Really good experience. Super comfy reclining chairs and great sound system. The staff members are all very kind. Would highly recommend over the other theaters in the area.

Uncle Buck

First time there in a long time. Nice updates. Reclining seats are a nice addition. Price is reasonable. Loved that we could reserve our seats.

Jenny Niedenfuehr

We love living across from the theatre. Great chairs to sit and spread out.

Juan Montenegro

Professional staff, the security lady it’s very friendly and professional. The seats are awesome, you’ll feel like in business class in a plane. Prices are not crazy expensive but not the cheapest ones.

Lia Ts

Reasonable prices, and the movie theaters were renovated a few years back, so it's always nice to come here, hang around the downtown area, then watch a movie!

Carlos A'Higgins

I just love this chain of movie theathers

Michael Smith

Better than I thought it would be. But no booze dont believe the reviews.

Lawrence Evans

I like coming here to watch a movie. The seating is lovely. Having to pay extra for parking even with the subsidy is aggravating.

Timothy Hoffman

Theater 8 was excellent, extra large cushioned chairs with spacious arm rests and plenty of room for every patron. The screen was good as was the sound quality. This would have easily been five (5) stars if the expensive popcorn hadn't smelled burnt and been a general let down. So close.

Lobo X

Very nice place, very clean and new. All staff interaction was pleasant. This place is very aesthetically pleasing. There are a lot of interesting architectural features. I would park in the colonial parking lot across from the theater, which is open-air. We parked in the Cambria Suites underground parking lot. Although the theater validates, after 2 hours your charge to maximum rate of $12 in this parking lot.

Felipe Nogueira

This movie theater is convenient. But it's far from great they upgraded their showing rooms but the actual place needs a face lift and some cleaning. They do offer great discounts and special showings here and there which I great and the new recliners are great!

Michael Brooks

We visit this theater way too often. The parking is nice though because the theater validates. It doesn't cover the entire cost, but it does cover most of it. The popcorn is always fresh and delicious. The food choices are fantastic. Usually only a ten minute delay between arriving and getting to our seats. They are regularly upgrading the theater. Assigned seats are nice. The points from their rewards is really sweet. I've eaten a ton of free treats because of those points.

Lauren Satterfield

I live in Frederick and me and my husband always come down to Rockville because they have assigned seating that recline. We dont go anywhere else and they always have the best movies.

L P

Seating is very comfortable and being able to elevate my legs with the recliners makes things much easier on my knees. Rows are staggered well so you don't have to worry about not being able to see over someone's head or getting the back of your seat kicked.

Manana M

I would not visit I guess. Parking is horrible. I would go to RIO instead Rockville.

Pamella Fofana

My daughter went online to order tickets for the our family and one of her friends to see a movie. There were so techno difficulties on Regal website for the tickets so, we called the theater to make sure the payment went through and the seats were reserved. The customer service at the theater confirmed that the payments went through and our seats were indeed reserved. He also told us that when we got there speak to the manager to make sure we we were ok with the seatings. So, we checked with the manager and he told us we were and it was ok to go to the show , which we did. However, after getting our popcorn and drinks sat down to see the movies the manager came in with his flashlight shining in our faces in front of the entire move audience accusing us of not paying for the tickets and forced Us to leave. This is after he said it was ok for us to go in. We were sooo humiliated and discussed that we left . Furthermore, my daughter and my family were stunned and could not believe how we were treated. Like common criminals. This is a memory that is imbedded in our souls for the rest of our lives and we will never visit this theater not it’s affiliates ever again. Regal does not even deserve a one star but this is the lowest we could give them.

Elizabeth Smith

The seats are super comfortable, it's always clean, and the popcorn (of course) is delicious!

Nate Obstance

conveniently located, comfortable seats and always a good movie selection

Robert Jones

They do validate for parking but for only 2 hrs, which does help reduce the cost of parking. Had to pay $2 in the end. They really should do 3 hours since most movies are about 2 hrs long. Nice staff, good choices for snacks and comfortable chairs.

Lori Maydwell

The staff was friendly and very helpful. I was pleasantly surprised by the addition of Cheetos Popcorn to their concessions. The seats are very comfortable and they also validate tickets for the nearby parking garage. I’ll definitely visit again.

Linda Bolden

Clean and comfortable experience. First time back since remodeled to recliners. ☺

Popcorn maker needs service worst popcorn ever!

A bit expensive compared to other theaters

Decent theater. I came here 10/21/17 to see My Little Pony: The Movie. Not SUPER fancy, but still very nice. Loved the upgraded reclining seating as well as a decent enough auditorium and screen size. Beautiful lighting inside the lobby. Only thing I disliked about the experience was the fact I had to share a theater with noisy kids that kept walking in front of me during the movie.

I watched avengers infidelity war and it was a good experience. All the theater are down stairs and you have to go down to reach there. It's in the heart of the market and metro station. Also Rockville bus stop is walkable from there and it's easy to communicate. Nice place to spend some time.

The ceiling was literally falling in on us during the movie! They should have had it in another room... poor management decision

Theater 8 was excellent, extra large cushioned chairs with spacious arm rests and plenty of room for every patron. The screen was good as was the sound quality. This would have easily been five (5) stars if the expensive popcorn hadn't smelled burnt and been a general let down. So close.
