This location use to be one of the best when I was a child...it has gone down hill a lot since. It is due to wear and tear. The surrounding movie locations all have received the upgrades in their buildings and seating that it puts a stronger negative hit on this location. Besides that, it is average movie location with the usual sticky floors. Staff is nice there so that is always a big plus. I think it will be amazing once it gets it's own upgrade. Movie selection are pretty good too with decent time selection for a smaller location (compared to Rio or rockville).

I feel like every other time I've been here, there's been issues with the film showing and they've comped my tickets. They have all the good special events if they can get them to run properly. Staff is super nice and the place is clean. Concessions are good, fresh popcorn. Included photos of the last time we went and the movie player errored out.

A few days ago a friend and I decided to go to see Avengers. We bought our tickets in advance and got to the theatre just as the movie was supposed to start. We were told that it was full. A theatre worker realized we had already bought our tickets and promptly took us to a manager. He switched our tickets to the next viewing without a word. As I walked away I typed in my notes to give him a good review. Later on, I got some bad news and left halfway through the movie. The same manager came up and asked if I was okay. Upon realizing that I wasn't he got me a readmission ticket and wished me well. His name was Trayvon Jones. Thank you very much. You turned a bad night into a good one.

Like most theatres, the concession stand drives away most customers with $9 sodas. All theatres are dimly lit, but even with poor lighting, the entire building) is dingy, worn, dirty. Its seems like the staff cleans up the bathroom, but the rest of the theatre has 20 years of gross all over the walls and ground into the carpet.

I'm not much for the movie theater experience - SENSORY OVERLOAD AS ENTERTAINMENT holds little appeal. That being said: the theater is clean, staff are friendly, and the restrooms are passable. This theater is just about worth the 7-minute walk to get there, and perhaps worth the price of admission if the movie isn't terrible. For me, that's worth a couple of stars. I might not be back for a while, but I'll probably be back.

I brought my mother whose in a wheel chair for the first time. There are no handicapped doors to help get a wheel chair into and out of the building. The seating for wheel chairs is perfect and they have ramps and a elevator. But a stranger had to hold the door so I could bring my mother in. Seem silly that this was over looked. You never notice till you are in the other person shoes. Please fix this.

No recliners! Theatre parking to the entrance is very far, you have to walk all the way around the whole theatre to the front. Parking is literally to the rear.

3D effects were not synced. Had to complain to get it corrected. Movie played just sound without video. Had to complain to get it corrected. For one movie, video feed cut off for key final scenes! Worst Theater I've ever been to, and I've been to some run down ones in small Indian towns!

We arrived to the theater Saturday, June 23rd an hour before the movie is due to start. When we arrived there was a moderately long line to buy tickets, there was only one cashier. I sent my husband to the concession counter line because the two lines there were even longer. At the time my husband got in line, there was two registers opened with a line each. When I got my tickets and yes, my husband was still in line at the concession stand, another cashier came to open up BUT she was taking customers that was in line with the other register. Still two lines but one of those lines have 2 registers helping the customers. Of course we were in the line with only one register. We had only 4 people in front of us so we waited. I was very surprised that they did not have ropes up so that there is only one line and then the customers could advance to the next available register. There was one customer in front of us and when the cashier disappeared in the back while another guy left to help a prior customer with all her trays of food. The cashier reappears a few minutes later. When we finally got up to the register, about 35 minutes later, the cashier who was wearing a jacket tells me to wait and off he went in the back again. A few minutes later, he returned without his jacket, so did he had me wait so he could go in the back to take his jacket off? REALLY? with about 15 people behind me waiting in line? Where is the manager in all of this? Almost an hour later, we finally got our tickets and food to go into the theater. I noticed some of the people walked in 10 minutes after the film started because of the long concession lines. The management blew this one. The theater was severely understaffed and when that happens, it is up to management to step in and help but I could not see any managers running around, maybe they were in the back. I wanted to talk to a manager but I would have missed my movie waiting to speak with them. Also by that time we were so frustrated that I just want to see the movie and leave. The girl taking the tickets were directing people to theater 11. When I told her that our tickets were for theater 12, she corrected herself. We ran into a gentleman in the hallway to the theater what movie we were watching? When we told him he said the girl told him it was in theater 11 and he just wanted to make sure he was going into the right theater. I told him she said the same thing to us too but our tickets are for theater 12 so he followed us in. Apparently so many people were watching Incredible 2 which is in theater 11 that she just keep saying it to people as she takes their tickets whether or not they are watching that movie. Poor girl she must be really tired or bored that she doesn't bother to look at the tickets to see what movie the tickets are for. Not planning to come back any time soon and by then I hope they made changes and improvements. The theater we were in (#12) for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, which was the first week of release was very small and dated.

Visit this theater often. Buying tickets online and scanning at the podium is quick and easy. Theaters are on par with others chains in area for comfort. Staff seem polite and helpful. Plenty of parking, only rarely had to use adjacent parking garage when a major release has opening day.

There's nothing physically wrong with this theater. They have a great selection of snacks and foods and the theater is usually clean. The downside is that sometimes you have to get your tickets from the concession stand and it's not properly signed, and there seems to be a lot of confusion about what lying to being because no one working there gives clear instructions

The movie theater is a good place, the prices are a bit on the high end though. I really like the general atmosphere, and the screen is a great size for a standard viewing. Definitely recommend this place. I don’t like that the trailers go past the movie showing time, and there’re lots of ads.

The theatre is nice. In the past it has always been well kept, but recently I walked into the movie and found quite the mess. The sound quality is good. The screen picture is fine. The seats are older and not as comfy as they could be, but adequate for most 2 hour movies. Plenty of parking. And food options outside of the theatre are good and within walking distance.

The GM absolutely has no idea how to run a theater. Micromanaging at its worst. treats all of his employees who are under him like slaves and talk down on them. I am a regular customer that comes at least 3 to 4 times a week. I have seen a difference in the past month or two. It used to be a welcoming environment not anymore. I will be going to Rockville location from now on. I will pray for anyone who works there.

My family and I have made this friendly theater our family favorite because even while going through their renovations, the staff kept the place running smoothly without any construction problems and kept guests safe by blocking the work areas properly. Little tots and family continued to enjoy coming to view movies and once inside the theater, I never heard the construction work just outside in the lobby area! Also a "Must Say", the staff, from the Regular Employee's to the Management Team, have always been very Friendly, Professional, and Extremely Courteous to my family and I. And the Restrooms are ALWAYS CLEAN! That's Extremely important! Great job Regal Germantown!

Typical pricing on food and drinks. There are better options in this area and I would recommend going to RIO over Regal Germantown.

I mistakenly purchased tickets online for the Rockville Regal and showed up here, in Germantown. The staff was very friendly and helped my family. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I purchased tickets at the counter and once I tried to use them they were for the wrong date and time that I had specified to the girl. The theater refused to refund my money and this was for a movie that only plays at one time of day now. This is the last weekend that they will show it and I cannot take off work to come see this movie at 11 in the morning on a weekday. This was their mistake and they still refused to refund money. They tried to tell me I had to simply go see another movie. It should not harelip them to refund $14 when it was very clearly their mistake. Their employees are lazy and stupid too.

10/13 - Took the family to too watch the 10:45 showing of Venom. Informed the manager and the ticket dispenser twice of the blurry image before personally walking them to the theater. The revised to acknowledge a problem with the image until I suggested comparing it to the shooting next door. The manager finally acknowledged that there could be a problem caused by an unclean lens. The theatre is nice. In the past it has always been well kept, but recently I walked into the movie and found quite the mess. The sound quality is good. The screen picture is fine. The seats are older and not as comfy as they could be, but adequate for most 2 hour movies. Plenty of parking. And food options outside of the theatre are good and within walking distance.

The GM absolutely has no idea how to run a theater. Micromanaging at its worst. treats all of his employees who are under him like slaves and talk down on them. I am a regular customer that comes at least 3 to 4 times a week. I have seen a difference in the past month or two. It used to be a welcoming environment not anymore. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I purchased tickets at the counter and once I tried to use them they were for the wrong date and time that I had specified to the girl. The theater refused to refund my money and this was for a movie that only plays at one time of day now. This is the last weekend that they will show it and I cannot take off work to come see this movie at 11 in the morning on a weekday. This was their mistake and they still refused to refund money. They tried to tell me I had to simply go see another movie. It should not harelip them to refund $14 when it was very clearly their mistake. Their employees are lazy and stupid too.

10/13 - Took the family to too watch the 10:45 showing of Venom. Informed the manager and the ticket dispenser twice of the blurry image before personally walking them to the theater. The revised to acknowledge a problem with the image until I suggested comparing it to the shooting next door. The manager finally acknowledged that there could be a problem caused by an unclean lens. So I've been to this theater multiple times and i just need to say something about it. I dont usually do reviews but this place has been bugging me. Where do i start. Well they refill the popcorn with a trash can full of more popcorn. Im sure the said trash can is clean, i hope. Regardless it gives a bad image and looks gross. Second, the wait for snacks takes forever and is highly disorganized, no lines or any sort of organization. The last thing is the customers who come here can be loud and annoying. Multiple films of multiple genres, cant blame it on kids movies. It just takes me out of the experience of going to movies and leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Not coming back.

For the most part this is a decent theater. Never have had a issue using digital tickets purchased online or my rewards card. Have been issued refunds without any hitches as well when needed. Concession stand is really nice. They are really helpful with offering suggestions when you have a group of peopme with yoh and can't decide the best sizes. Theater is pretty clean and haven't seen any fights in years which is what I used to knkw this theater for a few yrs ago. They are definitely making a comeback.

Wow! The biggest box office movie ever and they have 4 people serving a packed house at 11:30 AM opening weekend of "End Game." I waited 33 minutes for popcorn and by the time I got to the front of the line, it was twice as long. I felt for the other people at the back of the line. So when I finally got to the front of the line, they said they couldn't break a 100 dollar bill. Wow! Are they sure they were ready for Marvel's End Games??? Managment at that Regal should be embarrassed! Glad I didn't go to an evening showing.

I don’t think I have ever left a bad review about a place before, but this theater left me no choice. Dirty, mismanaged, understaffed, overpriced...the list goes on. I can go to the Rio, sit in reclining reserved seats, and the cost is actually cheaper. The concession stand was horribly understaffed, and the lines were ridiculous. The entire theater was filthy. Popcorn everywhere, the trash was overflowing before our movie even started, by the end I had to step over trash because it was piled up on the floor. The theater smelled, and was very stuffy, the bathrooms were disgusting, and not a manager in sight when I asked for one. From now on I’ll drive the extra 10 minutes and go to the Rio.

Absolutely fantastic! The staff is very friendly! There was one time where I bought a soft drink and carried it to the theater; however, after I left, a crew member realized that there was something funny about the soda machine so he ran all the way to the theater and stopped me from drinking it before I could. Afterwards, he took the soda back and fixed the machine. He even went above and beyond and brought the new soda to me in the theater so I wouldn’t miss any trailers. Keep in mind, he did all of this without me even asking him to. It was very incredible. Additionally, the rest of the staff are very friendly and they interact and treat you like a human being. 10/10 I love going there!
