Here you will see the feddbacks of real people who buy the services and products of Regal Fairfax Towne Center (Movie Theater) in the state of Maryland.
Now the firm has a rating of 4.2 stars out of 5 and this rating has been based on 777 reviews.
You may have noticed that it reaches an opinions average is really positive, and it's founded on a very high number of reviews, so we can be pretty sure that the assessment is very credible. If people have bothered to leave their feddback when they are satisfied, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to put evaluations when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Movie Theater is included in the category of Movie theater.
Considering how much they charge for popcorn, they can do better than using a "mister sprayer" to put on butter. You would think the popcorn butter was being sold by the troy ounce. Popcorn is half the reason I go to the theater. As long as Regal uses the butter spray mister, I will be going to Cinemark.
The reclining chairs were awesome
Disappointed with only seats remaining-front row. Great popcorn and reclining seats!
I hate writing a bad review about a business, but as I sit awaiting my first movie here, I also know it will be my last. I happened upon other reviews that described the (alleged) mice and rat problem here, and from the look of the lobby it's no wonder. Popcorn is all over the carpet - as if it hasn't been cleaned in months. The theater itself is clean, but tiny in comparison to other theaters. There's a reason it's called the "big screen", but whoever designed this place didn't get that message. Unbelievably in this day and age, the theater floor is almost completely flat (no stadium seating). Thankfully my movie today is poorly attended; otherwise God help you if someone tall sat in front of you (just like watching a movie 30+ *years* ago). The restroom was somewhat clean, having an intense bleach odor and dim, run-down lighting. This theater charges almost the same money for a ticket as the Springfield Regal, but the differences are night and day. My recommendation to management is to get some competent staff to keep the place clean, and if rodents are truly an issue, get an exterminator in here ASAP. Fix the broken ticket kiosk another reviewer commented on (months ago). Get some staff to man the ticket booth instead of selling tickets at the concession stand. No one even was around to take my ticket! All together, this place has a super ghetto feel to it, which is an utter disgrace not just for a Regal theater, but for any theater in Fairfax county with its second highest median income level in the entire country. Get it together, management!
Richard Humphrey is a disgrace to the movie theater industry. He needs lessons in personal hygiene and had horrible manners. Definitely would not recommend.
Expensive and not well maintained. For what they chg for movies I'd rather go to newer less expensive more uo dates theater. They should be charging budget rates like the theater by GMU.
Enjoyed the recliner seats. This seems to be the norm at most theaters now. The staff was friendly when buying tickets and food. It did take a very long time to make my food; however, the manager did bring it to me at my seat, so I didn't miss the movie.
Love their Korean movies.
They have Korean movies and cozy chairs
Recliner seats! Make sure to purchase tickets in advance so you get a good spot. You can pick your seat once you buy a ticket
I'm so glad I found this theater. Its cozy, clean, and comfortable. I've always had great experiences with the staff. The chairs and amaaaazing. Plus, they offer different deals throughout the week. I also love their rewards program. It's free to sign up (looking at you AMC) and easy to redeem. I just wish the points didnt expire. Anyway, the theatre is amazing.
Very clean! Comfortable, reclining seats. You get to choose your seats before entering, which is nice as well.
Great seats and location.
staff was very friendly envirinment, atmosphere was super good and decent
Coin operated game consuls are not functioning right. Don't use them. They take your money but not let you play.
I don't know if it was the place but I loved it cause I watched Deadpool 2 with my buddies
Mostly action movies. Seats are very comforable. Crowds are generally ruly. Food prices are ridiculous. Needs a lighter atmosphere. Parking is good.
This is my favorite generic movie theater in the area, but it's a little rundown and usually dirty. I go here pretty often and usually will have to wipe my seat down because there's popcorn, dirt, etc. on it. I know people are messy and it's not the staff's fault for not being able to keep up all the time. But sometimes it's slow, and they probably can do a better job cleaning up overall. I have a love and hate relationship with the cinema being on the 3rd floor and having to go up the garage. However, this usually also means that there's plenty of parking. Also these recliners are much better than those in Cinemark at the Fairfax Corner.
My favorite cinema in the area.
Great access for the deaf
Super clean theater, great staff.
The good popcorn place. Free refill on pop and popcorn! Standard modern theater, with recliner seats. On the 3rd floor, so be prepared to go to upper deck in parking garage, take steps, or take elevator. Elevator is by entrance to parking garage. Nice little park in front of building.
Looks old and a bit outdated from the outside, but the inside of the theater is great! Recliners are super comfy and the place is mercifully uncrowded on weekends. Perfect for catching a new release
Great place to see a movie and they have hot coffee at a reasonable price.
One of the two theatres in the fairfax area, and definitely has held up since 20 years ago. Great seats, great places to eat near by and also a safeway right there! It’s got it all, love my movie nights here.
Great theater. My mom had a pretty bad bloody nose here the other day and they were super nice and made sure she had toliet paper and cleaned up in the bathroom immediately.
This theater is AWESOME
Was lil tricky to maneuver to the spot, but once there it was a blast...ended up watching a movie on a date night and to my surprise we had the entire place yo ourselves...the icing was the comfy recliners, oh baby, the recliners are so amazing I fell asleep half way through the movie....but the place is amazing, and the staff is outstandingly supportive when it comes to the snack bar...
Okay theater but the entrance is a pain to get up to on the second floor. It would be nice if they wiped down the seats too.
Super nice recliner seats and small capacity theatres. Clean place with friendly staff.
Love the sitting options. Nice and quite for movie time. Luxurious lay back seats.
This one made me almost cry. If only all theatres would operate as these guys, the whole industry would change. Good food ,even better customer service, good 3D technology, the best sound in more than four states. This I loved.
Comfortable, reserved, reclining seats, good treats. A couple of video games and claw machines. The real random pearl...the coin operated gumball and candy machines! Boom! Tickets can seem slow sometimes at the theater. Get them online ahead of time and you can get the code to scan at the ticket taker or pick up the tickets with a code at the kiosk.
The theatre is very clean. They have really nice seats in the theatres that recline and give patrons plenty of personal space.
Love this Regal! Fresh popcorn, clean and friendly people!
It's alright. But the enyrance is hard to get into and the power went out while we were there.
When you walk in you are underwhelmed. It's not to up to date modern cinemas like most others in the area. There in only one ticket machine and it is a real pain to use. It is slow and the touchscreen in inaccurate. The theaters are small so they fill up real quick, but once you sit down it's pretty nice. The seats are comfortable and recline really far back. Compared to the ones at AMC they are a bit firmer. I wasn't a huge fan of the firmness but my brother really liked them. The sound proofing was not that great. The walls would rumble and the lamps would rattle from the movie next door, which got to be annoying. Again, my brother didn't even notice. They can't really change the theater size but they could at least get another machine. I enjoyed my experience enough but I'm not excited to go back. We were only there in the first place because of their 7 dollar tickets.
Always a Pleasure, Very Clean, Courteous & Knowledgeable Staff,Large Array Of Food, Treats & Drinks for Minors & Adults.Very Adequate Theatres With Modern Recliners For Your Comfort !
Very comfy reclining sofa seats.
I love this theatre has Korean movies I drive an hour away to see them and reserve seating is a plus and the chairs are so comfy
The theater was clean and well-stocked, the staff were pleasant and professional, and the reclining chairs were comfortable. The previews and movie showed without issue.
Love the seats and the amount of space between rows, allowing people to pass without much issue. Popcorn and drinks are pricey, as with almost all chains. The lobby feels a bit worn, and it's a little concerning that it's so easy to get in without much of a problem; when I went, a person could have easily walked in from the alternate entrance and into any of the individual theaters; both a business concern and a security issue.
Very nice theater. Great seats. Excellent parking.
Smaller theater, comfortable seats and good surround sound
Ready to watch "Angel has fallen"!!! I love these theatres...although this time, to be fair, I have to say, that one of the recliner seat was broken....so it didn't recline
My friend and me went to see Lion King. Very clean Moive Theater. very comfortable chairs
The people who work there are very nice. When there was an issue with the movie and it couldn't continue they gave people movie passes. However, we saw several mice...
The theatre has more than just the usual empty blockbusters and has nice seats and screen. Found it impossible to get drinks and snacks. Not will in to wait in a half hour line just to carry and spill a beer and popcorn.
Better than the movie theaters at Fairfax Corners
Nice, roomy movie theater
The seats are great and I would give it 4 stars except for Friday night. The power went out. After a couple of tries, it came back on but without sound. Management said they were working on it. After 20 minutes without sound, the sound came on but they didn't back it up. No one bothered to tell us what was happening nor did they realize we had no sound until someone told them. So we got a refund and left. I told them manager in the box office. He said the ushers were told to go to every theater but obviously they missed ours. He offered a perfunctory apology but that was it. We should not have had to tell them we had problems and they should have offered refunds without us asking. Most theaters would have also given us passes for another time.
Beside the fact that the entrance is a few stair flights up, the facility is well maintained. During the weekdays, it will be much empty. Parking lot is big and can accommodate a good amount of spaces. There are shops and eateries in the same shopping center for before or after show dining. Very good spot overall. Strongly recommend for family outing.
Perfect place for movie dates. Good menu and excellent sound.
Liked it but you should really put in Seat warmers because it’s cold in it
First time I went to this location. Don't know why I hadn't been before but it was absolutely fantastic. Great seats just a cool layout with good snack offers. Going only here from now on.
An interesting theater complex in the third floor of a shopping space in a strip mall. There are elevators. The parking garage abuts the theater which would be nice in bad weather. I don't know exactly how many screens (at least 10) but we were in a space with powered recliners for seating which were comfortable. There were many eating choices of restaurants in the mall.
Worst Regals I've ever been to. The theaters are old and small and always dirty. It's also the only theater I've ever been to where I've encountered rude managers. Just no.
Very nice theater. Friendly staff. Super comfy seating. Clean restroom. My only complaint is that the floor in the theater was sticky.
My mean grace list of places that the screens are small. However, it is clean clean and you can reserve reclining easy chairs. There's convenient parking in a garage behind the theater.
Cleanliness on busy nights can be an issue but great theather none the less! Love the big lounge seats!
Never messy and always has friendly staff. Drinks for those of age and candy and games for the younger visitors. High quality seating with reclining functions allowing you to filly relax.
This theatre is very relaxing and very clean. Enjoy.
Very comfortable seating. Otherwise, there were no people at the ticket counters and the tickets and the food was overly expensive. 2 popcorns and sodas shouldn't cost more than 2 tickets. If not for the seats I would have given it 2 stars.
Why do movies cost so much? Anyhow very typical movie theater people are young but very efficient. Seats are very comfortable and well space. The parking lot/covered garage in the back is very convenient when having inclement weather.
My favorite movie theater with the most comfortable seats
At this point we're so used to movie theaters that have all the greatest couches and the most comfortable seats and the loudest speakers, this theater is about 5 years passed by.While it does have reclining seats it's not a giant stadium seating in many of the theaters and it's just shabby and run down. Given the choice you probably should pick one of the other theaters nearby. It's not horrible, why go here at the going rate?
Service is terrible, all the staff members we encountered were incredibly rude. The Bavarian Legend pretzel was amazing.
Best theatre we have been to! Deserves more than 5 stars!!!
I enjoyed going there until I saw a mice in one of the theater rooms. It was nasty and disgusting. I never went back since then. I do not plan going back anytime soon either. I hope they get this situation under control, or people will have a mouse eating their popcorn with them.
I watched mission impossible fallout it was amazing the food was great so was the chairs it reclines back it awesome
Best seats, crowd is not my favorite.
Love the recliners. Clean environment. They have some opportunity to add some variety to the food they offer.
Although I did not have the experience of eating or buying food at this theater, I have to say the experience is amazing! The seats are clean, can transform into recliners, and can make you feel very comfortable! This might be different from your local movie theater, as you must climb some stairs to reach the second floor. The staff are very friendly and will guide you to your designation.
We are very fond of the reserved seating installed at this theater. The popcorn is also good. Now we just need to add movies worth seeing!
It has reclining seats... my new favorite thing!
The ticket price is to got damn high lol
This may is for the cleanup crew...saw a mouse b4 movie started...please clean up wasted food...nice staff.
Was going to see Bad Mom's 2 but as we were approaching the aisle, 3 mice jumped across the chairs and into the seats. That is disgusting and I will never go to a Regal again.
Nice seating area.
This is my favorite theater. I try to pick this one over all the others because of the comfortable seats and the clean bathrooms. And last night when I left the theater - I left my wallet behind! When I got home and realized I didn't have it, I drove back to the theater and ran in and they had my wallet behind the service counter. I am so grateful to them for not taking anything because I had cash and my phone was with it too. I always park in the parking garage on the third floor because then I can go directly into the theater under roof and last night it was freezing cold. The seats are huge and reclining with large armrests and drink holders on either side. When you buy your tickets you pick your seat out. If you haven't tried this theater yet you should.
Very comfortable recliner seating.
This is my favorite go to theater in the area. If my movie is playing at this theater, I always choose it over the others based on their superior staff and food. The staff is usually pretty friendly and always polite. The snacks are consistently good. They have the best popcorn of all the theaters ....not sure what makes it better but its delicious. The recliners are awesome. There are kiosks to buy tickets as well as ticket windows, however if you buy tickets online they just scan it on your phone... makes it so easy! I try to come at least once every week or so. Also, always plenty of parking on level 3 where the theater is.
I like the seats, but why so dirty? I went on a Tuesday and the floors were disgusting. My first time there, I think is better going to another place, there is a lot of places on the area.
I always love coming to this theater! There's ground parking and garage parking all free. Ton of restaurants next to it. A clean, updated, reserved seating attraction that is consistent with quality every time. Barely anyone comes during the week so you'll be almost guaranteed a good seat. The weekends and special events are very popular here as well. Enjoy your time here and relax! Prices are also average here for a reserved seating venue, so you can expect not to break the bank.
Staff was pretty friendly. The theater seats are very comfortable. It isn’t stadium seating but the row are far enough apart where you can see the screen fine in every seat. The seats are also further away from the screen than most theaters.
Laid back theater. Helpful staff. Clean. Leather recliner seats. Love it.
Nice theater
This theater has by far the nicest recliner seats with plenty of space between rows. Venom was awesome!!
Expensive Food. Comfortable reclining seats
Overpriced and not very clean. I was not impressed and will not be returning.
Love this theater, they're the only ones close by me that plays Korean movies. Wish they put more Korean films out rather than 1 by 1.
Place to see Indian cinemas.
Regal is the only theater i go too. The location is great, there's places to eat around. Clean theater and reclining chairs are the best.
For people with disabilities, it is important to know that they cannot enter the cinema at ground level. I wish we had called ahead because the staff would have told us to drop off my mother and her walker at the top floor of the parking garage (by the elevators). From there it is all level to the cinema entrance. But still about 2 blocks worth of walking each way (including the theater we used).
No surround sound in theatre 8. When addressed with staff, the front sound was simply cranked up - leaving us to experience the powerful songs of The Lion King in poor quality, with the bass missing and the chorus much too high. After addressing this issue twice with staff during the film, and being told the manager was not on the floor, I returned to my theater after letting the staff know that the entire theatre deserved a refund for the poor quality of sound and lackluster experience. This is common practice for other theater chains, like AMC. Professional managers greet their guests at the door upon exiting when an issue occurs. This did not happen at Regal Fairfax Towne Center. I only received replacement tickets for my party after a frustrating discussion with the manager, who implied that my experience was not ruined because I sat through it. Missing a solid 10 minutes to bring the issue to your attention, when you should be doing theatre checks regularly? A problem. Sitting through the artists work diminished by poor quality? A problem. When the soundtrack sounds better in my car than their theater? Big problem. Make your voice heard if your experience is lackluster. It’s the only way theaters will rise to the occasion. (Note: I spent 4 years as a projectionist and know what to expect, I am not just someone who demands free stuff).
The theater itself is nice. They have the best reclining seats I've seen in a theater so far. Unfortunately, the theater has a mice infestation. I was sitting in my reclining chair when I noticed 3 gray figures racing through the isles. Then they came back to the seat next to me and begin munching on popcorn that was laying in the floor. I was shocked and went to report the problem to management. The manager responded by saying they would get an exterminator there soon. Well I wouldn't want to eat here nor go back to watch a movie until they do so.
This theater is great. Took the kids to see the Grinch. All three of us loved the seats. Food prices were good for a theater and the bathrooms were easily accessible, a definite plus when with kids. The ability to pick seats made it easy and fun.
The reclining seats here are the best thing about this theater and makes it worth it.
Nice area everything you need close by.. also great and comfortable seats. Quality of sound and picture is great plus its clean and not as price for food like other locations.
Quiet theater and not as busy as others but clean, friendly staff. Popcorn was fresh.
Way cheaper and better than watching a movie at AMC Tyson's. The small theaters with recliners give a feeling of being very involved in the movie. Plus there are a lot of places to eat around here before or after your show so you do no have to buy that ultra expensive popcorn.
Great seats, friendly staff
great theatre and seats, but man could they use an escalator or elevator, those stairs were killer.
Comfortable reclining seats and plenty of parking
Reclining chairs are very nice. Bad experience came from the sound system in the cinema. Front right speaker is not working and no low frequency effects at auditorium 9.I had the worst headache from watching a movie in my entire adult life. Update: Prompt response from customer service. Will come by again for a movie because of the super comfortable reclining chair!
Great food love leather seats compared to AMC and multiplex, get discounts with regal card, sometimes free movie or food, quiet and relaxing place
You get what you get. I think slightly expensive for lower end seats and concessions.
Good food and best reclining chairs. They should have better signs to let people know where the entrance is and if they would take the food to you instead of waiting for it, I would've given it one more star.
Awesome place just wish the had an elevator So I didn't have to climb the step with my injured leg.
Love the recliner. Our favorite theatre to see Met Opera HD live, good sound system makes it an extra treat!
Great neighborhood movie theater. All available amenities.
They changed discount day
Nice seats
Very nice theaters now that they've been renovated. The seats are very comfortable but they need to keep up with the cleaning. The popcorn used to be much better and fresh.
Clean and I come for the comfortable electronical reclining seats.
This Regal has stepped up its game in recent years. I mostly attend matinees, and I'm now on the reclining, reserved seat or bust -train, and I'm glad they've moved to this std. Also, the snack areas have seen an upgrade. Wine and beer and chicken samosas, oh my. I also love being able to walk into the cinema from the parking deck. I will definitely be returning all summer.
I'm giving this a 5 star only because of the manager working Good Friday. My family went to see a movie and quickly realized he was literally the only one working. All. Day. Long. Everyone else decided not to show up that day. That manager was a magnificent trooper. I truly hope Regal knows how unique he is and awards him appropriately. I can't comment on the rest of the staff. They weren't there...
I looked up the movie my kids wanted to see and purchased the tickets on line. When I showed up with a 2,4, and 7 year old I was told the theater playing the movie we have tickets for is 45mins away. Sorry sir, we can't do anything for you. Good job Regal, way to take care of your customers. The only reason they got one star is I had to add a star to leave a response.
Good place for watching Korean popular movies, and then you enjoying as half paying in early morning.
My chair was broken in theater 9 chair e 9
Stale popcorn
I come here for every movie I see. The reclining seats are fantastic! Some of the less popular movies get smaller screens, so don't expect a grand display if you're planning to watch something non-mainstream. Sometimes they even show old classics and that's always a treat for me!
Love this theater. Great seating. wide aisles. Lots of snack options and good popcorn
Good seats and sound. Usually not too crowded.
Clean theater, initially good customer service.... waited 19 minutes for pepperoni flatbread after being told it would take 6 min to prepare. When I finally got to my seat the pizza was cold throughout the middle. I told the manager after the movie and she insisted she cooked it herself and I was a liar. I've been to this theater 50 times with no issues but with the ignorant rude attitude of this manager I will never return .
I am glad I visited this theater. It is fairly close to my home and it's clean. I like the fact that they have some arcades there which adds extra sweetness to the overall experience. The only thing I think would improve this theater more is if they had more than 2 ticket purchase stations because last time I went there one of their stations were out of order and people were in line for one ticket machine. Other than that, great place to hang out!
Love it seats, parking structure needs some care!
I always loved being here the employees make you feel at home. Decent food to boot. Only time I have any issues when I tried to watch one of the musicals, it ended up being a documentary of how the musical got started. the manager on duty at the time was nice enough to take care of me and my girlfriend and we got to see it when it came out
I hadn't been to this theater in many many years but saw the Batman Lego movie with some family members on Wednesday. Was I pleasantly surprised! The seats are just great - plenty of room with a power recline function. There is absolutely no crowding which I enjoyed as a family with young children sat next to me and it wasn't bad. The sound was good. I also appreciated the matinee price, the reserved seating and the buy ahead ticketing option. I will definitely try this again. The only negative to this theater, as far as I can see, is access. I'm sure there must be handicapped access somewhere but I failed to find it and lugged my old lady body up all the stairs instead. I would suggest a sign on the door pointing out handicapped access.
Love this place! Wide reclining seats.
Very dated theater but they have updated the screens with reclining seats.
This and Dulles Regal are the best Regals in Northern Virginia. Seats are reclining and are reserved. This one is probably my favorite though because they show new Korean releases almost weekly.
Poor movie selection!! First this cinema didn't have and they still don't have "Avengers:Infinity War" and now they don't have "Incredibles 2" listed for their showtimes. Please do better. How do you not have the most anticipated summer movies listed in your showtime lineups?!?!?!? I gave it 2 stars because this cinema does have great day specials, good food and comfortable seats.
This was the first time I had ever been to this theater and may I saw I will definitely not be returning to this location. The new recliner seats were nice and so were the wooden floors inside the theater. I was in the theater for about 10 minutes when I saw a RAT run across the floor right in front of me! Yes, a RAT. This was the grossest thing I've ever experienced at the movies. When I informed management of it, the guy was really nice and offered us refunds and apologized for what had happened.
Really love some of the seats allow you to recline alllll the way back...like you're completley laying down
Great location and new food menu is worth trying. Beats standard popcorn and nachos.
This theatre finally upgraded to the lounge seats which are nice. The theater offers many different types of food so not limited to popcorn. It is on the upper level so if you don't like stairs make sure you park on the 3rd level of the garage. That will give you straight access to the theater.
