The booking of the tickets went smoothly.I had been coming to this place for years.However the current staff is very rude and made fun of my appearance and that I had a themed messenger bag.I was made fun of for my age and laughed at at the counter.I won't be going back to this theatre.

I grew up working at Hollywood in my teens as my first job, I absolutely loved the place then, and 15+ years later, even with the face lift, it STILL retains the small town feel with all the upgraded amenities. including the reclining leather seats & better popcorn, snacks & service is always great. everyone who grew up working and/or attending this theater still loves this place as we now share it with the next generation & our children alike. Long live Hollywood!

I went to this theater for the first time a few Saturdays ago with some friends and was blown away. The manager and staff were super friendly and helpful even though they were really busy. The handsome security guard held the door for me and my friends and was very polite. Prices were excellent. Safe, friendly atmosphere. I don`t think i will ever go to another theater.

The big selling point to this theater are the big comfortable chairs that recline. There's plenty of legroom and you will never have a problem with someone kicking the back of your chair. Very laid back and easy going place.

Hidden geme in Arbutus. There are only 4 screens but they always hold good films. The seats are reserved when you buy your ticket and they are the nice big reclining ones. Very comfortable and always clean. The kids that work there are very friendly and polite. Highly recommend visiting!

I really like that I can pick my seats, and yet each seat allows for a full view of the screen. I love all of these amazing updates and intend to continue coming back in the future!

I have always loved this little movie theater in the heart of Arbutus but now that they have remodeled, it is even better! I mean, who doesn't want to sit in fully reclining love seats while watching movies? The only downside to this theater is that it only has (I think) 4 screens, so showtimes and movie selections can be tricky. But being such a small theater is also what gives it its appeal, too. Five dollar Tuesday have become a new, cheap date night for us. Even if it's not a movie you REALLY want to see, it's only five bucks and it's something to do to breakup the work week.

Amazing theater! Recently renovated to have comfy reclining seats (with reservations when you buy the ticket), and a solid selection of movies. They don't always have the latest, but will usually get it a week or two later. On street parking isn't the most convenient, but it is doable. Never really crowded, and the ticket prices are incredibly inexpensive. Only thing I look forward to them upgrading now is the snack bar! Great place to see a movie and chill, as long as it's one of the ones showing. Also, Arbutus is lovely.

Nostalgia!!! Went to see Mary Poppins Returns in this tiny theater I haven't been to in decades. The reclining seats are great!! The biggest negative was how close my seat was to the door. The light was irritating, from the in and out. Also the cleaning crew was not that dedicated, if you know what I mean. But not bad.

It is a quaint little cinema hall with multiple theaters tucked away in a quiet part of town. They have multiple movies running ask the time and have very reasonable ticket prices; even more so if you are a student with a valid id card (ticket will have to be booked on site I think). The seating quality is far better than what you would expect for the price. Food is, well..... , theater food. But still, the entire experience is reminiscent of the American cinema experience of old days gone by; girl on your arm and ticket in your hand. Even the front doors match that decor.

Damn cheap and you get electrically adjustable spacious sofas. What more could one ask for? Granted it didn't look extremely posh from the outside or even inside. But the essentials needed for a good movie watchingexperience was there.

Ive been going to Hollywood since I was a kid. Now my daughter goes there. They recently got the most comfortable chairs! The chairs recline. Are extra roomy & are great for someone like me with back problems. The people who work there are very nice. Sometimes when a place has teenagers working there, They Can be disrespectful, but I've never seen that at Hollywood. Never experienced any problems. One thing I wish they would change is, that we can't buy extra cheese when we buy nachos. Every other movie theatre allows you to pay extra for extra cheese cups. But besides that, it's clean. They make sure you have a good experience & get your money's worth. Great sound & a smaller, friendlier feel.

Ordered tickets online 9 bucks total with service fee. picked up tickets at the box office. bought some popcorn with a drink and enjoyed the movie. The only thing I would complain about was the sound wasn't loud enough but I feel like it might be a me thing. Seats were comfy and reclined. Probably will go back again

This place is really nice after the remodeling. They have reserved seating because they have big reclining seats now which is really nice. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys movies and electric reclining chairs. Staff is always friendly and free refills on a large popcorn and soda. Small theater with only 3 theaters. Very clean, well layed out seating. Leather reclining chairs (at least in theater 3), great sound system, and a decent well priced snack bar (plan for around $5.50 +/- per snack/drink). Parking was easy and plentiful, I like that you can park right outside the theater doors on the street for free. We'll definitely be back!

We were just passing through after a stressful day of driving as we left a vacation. We had no idea what we were walking into, just wanted to relax and catch a movie. This place was amazing. The whole family loved it and we had a great experience. I hope the locals there know how lucky they are to have such a great little theater.

We have been to Hollywood Theatre many times. Everyone is always nice and helpful. The Kiddie Tray is just the right size for lite munched and the price of $5.50 doesn't break the bank. And then talk about comfort....those seats are the bomb!

First time tonight, but will not be the last. There are four theaters for showings, all with comfortable reclining seats. The theater is at the end of a neighborhood and there is plenty of free street parking, just make sure you're not blocking a driveway. R/C Hollywood has a mom and pop shop feel to it with regards to both location and friendly service. I would definitely recommend watching a movie here.

Where can you go to a cinema, parking your car in the middle of a residential area? Bedford Falls comes to mind. This is a charming theater which dates back decades. Owned now by the RC chain, it boasts four smaller, more intimate viewing areas, all with reclining seats for an excellent view of the screen, and cramp-free comfort. Then, after the show, go walk to a local eatery to enjoy the fare Arbutus has to offer.

Great ticket prices much cheaper than the conventional movie theater! Doesnt stay open as late and only plays a few different movies each day but it's worth a wait and they all come around! Seats recline and even have an option to pull up the arm rest (every 2 seats have this option) so it's not a bad place for a date or taking kids who wanna sit close to mom or dad. Food prices are slightly lower than the average theatre but over all are similarly priced. Highly recommended for any penny pinchers or those who enjoy the reclining seats without spending a fortune, I love going here!

Damn cheap and you get electrically adjustable spacious sofas. What more could one ask for? Granted it didn't look extremely posh from the outside or even inside. But the essentials needed for a good movie watchingexperience was there.

Ive been going to Hollywood since I was a kid. Now my daughter goes there. They recently got the most comfortable chairs! The chairs recline. Are extra roomy & are great for someone like me with back problems. The people who work there are very nice. Sometimes when a place has teenagers working there, They Can be disrespectful, but I've never seen that at Hollywood. Never experienced any problems. One thing I wish they would change is, that we can't buy extra cheese when we buy nachos. Every other movie theatre allows you to pay extra for extra cheese cups. But besides that, it's clean. They make sure you have a good experience & get your money's worth. Great sound & a smaller, friendlier feel.

This place is really nice after the remodeling. They have reserved seating because they have big reclining seats now which is really nice. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys movies and electric reclining chairs. Staff is always friendly and free refills on a large popcorn and soda. I would also reserve your seats online to guarantee your seat any where you want to sit.

Haven't been there in over 10 years because of seating until two nights ago my niece had a gift card and treated us to the Captain Marvel movie.(AWESOME movie,loved it). My jaw dropped I was literally amazed.. I absolutely love that the seats recline, they are beyond comfortable ..the price was pretty low for what I'm used to, although we did go on a Tuesday and got matinee prices... I'm was so pleased that I'm already planning our next visit which will be very soon. #AvangersEndGame

This is a very nice theater. It's in the middle of a small neighborhood, and that really adds to its charm. It's a lot cheaper than the other places nearby, both ticket prices and concessions. The seats are comfy, they all recline. The screens are clear, so the picture looks great. They even offer $1 kids movies during the summer. My only knock on this theater is the sound. If you get used to seeing movies at the big chains, you'll notice a huge difference. The audio quality just isn't there. It's not enough to ruin the experience, but your superhero movies just don't have the same impact without the booming sound. This is more of a nitpick, but it's something I notice every time I go.

This place has the most comfortable seats (the reclining ones) for one of the lowest ticket prices I've found for movies in the area. The food isn't great, but you can never go wrong with pre-packaged candy and nachos. Sometimes, the drinks are watery, so taste it before you sit down! Parking is street parking, but I've never had a problem finding a spot. Shows about 4 different movies a day. Rating 4 stars because its my go-to (if they have the movie I want playing) and their prices are unbeatable!
