I took my husband here today for his birthday... the owner went out of his way to make the experience great! This theater has completely changed our movie going experience. The food was amazing and the drinks were too. The lounge area and the theatre’s ambiance was relaxed, clean and very inviting. Excellent movie experience! Very friendly staff, quality food, quality seats and movie viewing, great room temperature. Can be costly with food purchase (and please remember that gratuity is already included on the food receipt!). If you're going to eat you must get there a half hour before showtimes and I recommend sooner than that if you aren't already familiar with the parking (which can tough to figure out the first time). I highly recommend as a great experience as long as you are aware of all I stated!

It was freezing. People had on jackets but it was still too cold, we were so cold we couldn't enjoy the movie. No one offered any service, seats do not recline and were uncomfortable. The place is nice and clean. Oh they offered service to the people next to us and they arrived after us.

Came opening weekend. Drove 1 hour from DC. Great theater. Nice renovation. Great customer service. Still working through new biz kinks but they seem passionate about providing a quality experience. The theater is spacious but not a lot of seating, which is nice. The seats are leather & recline back but the foot rest doesn’t come out. That was disappointing but still, nice seating. They take orders & deliver your food to your seat, where there are trays. Our movie showed in the theater that connects to the adjacent restaurant. It’s noisy when there’s no other noise (like the movie or reviews) and the staff has to go back and forth for the orders but it’s fine. Excellent theater. Worth the one hour drive.

I love the quaint, family-oriented atmosphere of the theater. It also caters to adults after 7pm. They have a bar and food while you wait for your movie amd inside the movie as well with delivery to your seat. Ticket prices are reasonable and the staff are professional and efficient. What a lovely oasis in the neighborhood. I have seen 3 movies here and plan to return for more.

I definitely enjoyed going and supporting a black owned business...The reason I gave it 3 stars is simply because of the sound..There was no surround sound...I could hear every conversation and every bag of candy being opened... For theater seating I was expecting the sound to engulf me. We could even her the ambulance riding by outside... other than that I loved it. Very clean..that includes the bathroom. Employees were very friendly and eager to help.

Recently went to see John Wick 3 at the Next Act Cinema. The customer service received from the attendants was outstanding. We were greeted and seated with smiles. The reclining chairs were VERY comfortable. The food selection and ordering process was quick and easy. The seafood sliders there were delicious, however, the personal pizza's were not. The cheese had a weird taste. Over all, it was a great experience and we will be sure to return in the near future.

Amazing place! Right when you walk in there is a desk where you can buy tickets or you can book them online. There is reserved seats but usually enough room to switch if you want. They have shows throughout the whole day and you can find the showtimes on their website which is really nice and simple. You can order in theater dining. The previews are officially 15 minutes but twice when I've been there they've been 10 or less. On Tuesdays it is $9.75 no matter what and they have ticketing for the rest of the week on their website. The theater is nice and cool and sometimes a bit chilly so maybe bring a sweater. They have nice reclining leather chairs. I think one of the requirements to work there is that you have to be super nice and helpful. I've went three times and had really amazing experiences all three times. The first time I went with my friend and had the whole theater to myself to watch Shaft. We had fun trying out all the different seats. If available I recommend picking seat E-4. For some reason they only allow people age 21 and over after 7 pm. I think they enforce that rule but if you are under 18 and want to see a Rated-R movie they will let you in. If you are thinking about going there then don't hesitate any longer. Get over there and check it out.

I absolutely love this theater. It's small but personal. The staff is amazing. If you order food or drinks ( which are affordable btw) you can either wait for them or they will bring them to you. Definitely get there before the movie starts to order food right at your seat. The reclining seats.... Don't recline fully but just slightly but no matter it was still a comfy seat. They only have two theaters and 2-3 movies showing throughout the day. I would absolutely recommend this theater before anyone else's.

It's laid back it's cool. Small theatre tho. What was cool that one of the owners was on site. He greeted people and walked them to their seats. I thought that was pretty cool. Thanks Mr. Robert. They don't have their own parking so you have to park in the adjacent lot. They don't serve food after 930 but they serve drinks all night lol. They only offer popcorn and candy. I went and saw Avengers Endgame. This is not about the movie but the theatre itself. Black owned and black operated. Kudos

We took time out of our family vacation to drive an hour last night from National Harbor, MD and it was totally worth it. I was impressed by the attentive, lovely staff. I was especially pleased by the gracious owner who escorted us to our driver who fell asleep in the car. This boutique theater was very intimate but with the amenities of a major chain. The bathroom was spotless (a big deal to me). The soft, leather, partially-reclining seats were uber comfortable. The sound and picture quality, and temperature in Theater 2 where we saw The Best of Enemies were perfect. I’ll definitely be back during my next visit.

Went to the early evening showing of MIB international. Theater and seating nice but it was uncomfortably cold. Only 6 folks in the theater including myself. Mother with two kids was loud and yelling at the boy who was between 8-10 to sit down and stop jumping all over. Oyster sliders were good but didn't like it on the sweet roll.$12 strawberry margarita was like drinking strawberry juice. Mother started yelling again. I looked to speak with staff after the movie to see if there was a time when kids weren't allowed in the movie theater but no one was out front or at the bar....at all. I waited for a few, saying Hello?? Hello?.. eventually I left. I think I'll stick to the theater that doesn't allow anyone under 21 in at all . Next Act is minutes from my home but the mother and the kid, it was just too annoying. Also if I am paying for an alcoholic beverage, I would expect alcohol to be in it

We had a great experience! The staff service was timely and kind. The bar selection was plentiful, and the seats were very, very comfortable. It's not really an "immersion" experience - just seems like a fancier regular theater. Anyway, it was a great experience and I wish they had more than two movies at once.

We took time out of our family vacation to drive an hour last night from National Harbor, MD and it was totally worth it. I was impressed by the attentive, lovely staff. I was especially pleased by the gracious owner who escorted us to our driver who fell asleep in the car. This boutique theater was very intimate but with the amenities of a major chain. The bathroom was spotless (a big deal to me). The soft, leather, partially-reclining seats were uber comfortable. The sound and picture quality, and temperature in Theater 2 where we saw The Best of Enemies were perfect. I’ll definitely be back during my next visit.

Went to the early evening showing of MIB international. Theater and seating nice but it was uncomfortably cold. Only 6 folks in the theater including myself. Mother with two kids was loud and yelling at the boy who was between 8-10 to sit down and stop jumping all over.
