This Movie Theater belongs to the category of Movie theater.
Went to the movies. Underground parking is very difficult now. And the whole center is anti handicapped. Do not recommend it at all
Nice theater. They validated parking.
Convenient and, generally, well maintained. If you join the AMC STUBS program you can get pretty cheap tickets (more or less half priced for regular movies) on Tuesdays.
This is a modern place that have access to metro station without need to go out of it. Has some restaurant, bar and snack.

My wife and I only go here...always had very good experiences! Never crowded or hectic like some theaters I've been to...staff is very informative and helpful.
Only here for a private screening. Spacious. Parking nearby. Concession stand is way overpriced...
Who had the brain wave to turn a bunch of movie theaters in a mall showing PG-13 movies into a bar at night? So teenagers wanting to go see Gravity buy tickets on line and then discover only when they get all the way there that they can't see the movie? The bar thing by itself is one of the world's dumbest ideas -- it's a movie theater in a mall, for heavens sake, not an art house -- but to sell the tickets on line without a huge skull and crossbones saying "This movie is being shown in a bar; under 21 not allowed" actually tops the original idea for the sheer stupidity of it. There is some boilerplate on the webpage that talks about Theaters 6 & 7 being 21+ and serving alcohol, but nothing that says the PG-13 movie you're buying tickets to is in Theater 6 or 7 or is subject to that restriction. It just sounds like standard boilerplate that applies to something else, because surely no one would do something so ineffably stupid as to turn their shopping mall movie theater into a bar and cut off half their audience.
Very poorly run theater. The staff is always unhelpful and unenthusiastic about the job. The only redeeming quality about the theater is it's cleanliness. The club section makes no financial sense. Today I saw at least 8 people between the ages of 18 and 21 get turned down to see a movie in the club section. Unless they sold 88 dollars of alcohol in those five minutes, they took a huge loss.
Theatre needs updating. Seats were cloth and very small. I need to recline
amc-mazing!
Aging theater, no reclining or assigned seats
It's a very well run theater and kept as clean as the public allows. It's always friendly and very convenient. I'd give it a 4.5.
The theatre needs renovation but movie was HD live from NY Opera House was very good
I go here all the time for movies it’s the closest theater nearby
Good place, teu the popcorn
The theater was hidden up on the third floor of the building. Screens were average sized and the seating was on-par comfortable.
AMC Mazza gallerie is an old school looking theater . great location kind of hard to get parking and good seating coaches.
Cinema Lounge tickets are expensive - I paid 20$ for 3D movie. Plus 12$ for parking :( Also sound was distorted in some scenes. Otherwise pretty good experience.
"Wow" is all I can say about this place! High-end everything! Bring your wallet!!!!
Old and in need of upgrades. It's like they know their lease is ending soon so they aren't going to put any money into it
The place was very hot. The chairs are dated.
3.75. Theater needs an upgrade. Overall, I enjoyed my movie.
Very dated theatre with many broken seats. Looks like it could use an overhaul and deep clean.
Horrible selection and play times. No one wants to see 3d movies anymore, either get over it or have regular as well....not regular are 2 in the afternoon and only 3d at night. Seats are terrible as well.
Bought a ticket for the subtitled version of Kiki's Delivery Service on Fathom Events and AtomsTicket. Everywhere says that it's the subtitled version. Time and room number matches too, but it ended up being dubbed version.
The AMC Mazza Gallerie is one of those weird movie theaters -- you know, the ones where you have to wander through a closed shopping center to see your movie. Sometimes they have you line up outside the theater until ten minutes or so before the screening starts. Still -- sound and picture quality are good.
One of the cleanest and nice theaters I've been too. Ofcourse snacks are expensive as most.
Their theaters are not stadium type.
**Never again** ... Went there with "free" promotional pass to see a movie, but theater intentionally overbooked and at least a dozen people with "free" passes were turned away, their evenings deliberately wasted by AMC Mazza Galerie. Employee freely admitted that they always overbook these events to make sure they have a full house, and that tonight they were actually screwing over fewer people than usual --- like that was supposed to make us feel special! ... Thank you, AMC Mazza Galerie, for persuading me to wait for this film (and others) to come out on Netflix rather than patronizing AMC Theaters from now on.
A good example of a chain theater that has not had the most recent round of updates. It was clean and comfortable, with great matinee prices. It also has a bar in the theater area (unlike some that locate the bar in the lobby.) However, its seats are the narrower, flip-down type, and are unreserved. They also lack the Coke Freestyle machines now used by most AMC locations. Parking in the mall garage is a bit steep, but the theater validates it down to $2 for 3 hours.
Street parking hard to find. Nice bar but is always closed. Seats not the best.
Loved it. Very nice place. Sound quality is good, not too loud

Nice place to catch a movie. Inside a nice mall it is very clean.
It is ok, but the theatre complex looks like run down compared to other theatres. The area is the almost only good factor.
Boring . you can buy drinks but can not take inside the movies. Also. The seats need upgrading. Damn this is up town get it together
Small but nice
The cinema is pretty small and can be dirty at times. Not a lot of movie selections or show times. I prefer other cinemas than this one.
Cool theater. Wish it had later movies.
It looks good
It's easy to get lost in the shopping center, I walked around the block before I found the escalators to the theater. It's been a few years since I've visited, and it looks like they renovated the place a bit. It looks nicer, but they still have very bendy seats in the theatre I was in.
Love this place, everything was well decorated and staff member were very helpful. We really enjoyed the movie.
Very nice theater with facility of paid parking. Easily accessible from anywhere in DC.
Quiet quiant place to watch a movie, shop and eat!
Great seating and sound. Parking is a little pricey but you can get 3hr validation from theatre so its $2 for 3 hrs. If yiu stay longer than 3 hours look to pay about $10 per extra hour.
AMC Mazza is a decent theatre -- although it is a bit far for the city folk to travel -- definitely more a suburban theatre. Its a bit confusing to find the theatre if you are stuck in the maze of the below ground mall -- otherwise its on the 5th floor (if all else is lost, just keep going up -- you will eventually get there). I have found the seating as decent but the screens seems to be smaller to me. Definitely not my preferred location as I live in Columbia Heights -- my recommendation still stands AMC courthouse + reserved seats + couch seats.
AMC Movie Theater hosts many free early screenings.
We love AMC Mazza Gallerie, people are nice and we always feel comfortable
Mazza Gallerie is very convenient. I love the Cinema, the stores, and the convenience of the metro station there
We had fun Amc mazza gallery To see movies
While the movie theatres themselves are nice, it's absurdly expensive. And the staff is really mean-they card everyone, and they kick people out. I had a very hard time getting a ticket for a PG-13 movie, and I'm 19. Not worth it.
I love this theater! The staff is wonderful! What I like the most is that it's not packed full it could be the times I have gone. But overall if you want a small town or quiet place you can catch the latest movies this place is for you. It reminds me a lot of the movie theaters I grew up with.
Went and saw Ghostbusters the other day and was incredibly disappointed. Right in the middle of the screen was a huge stain. You could see it in every scene and was really distracting. It actually looked like the screen had been slimed. When you go to the theater and pay those prices I wouldn't expect to watch a movie on a dirty screen. Why even go to the theater if the screen was going to be like that? I made a complaint to the manager after the movie ended and was met with "yeah thanks for telling us" and she just kept walking away. I wasn't expecting to get a refund or was really looking for one. But the curt attitude that I was the recipient of is why I decided to write a bad review. I hope AMC realizes that if they keep their theater screens covered in stains they should not expect people to leave the comfort of their home and pay for a bad audio visual experience. I will not be going to this theater again and will now be thinking twice about going out to theaters at all if this is what I am to expect.
Very clean. I really enjoyed the movie theater.
Theater is never crowded when I go but it's usually during the week for the sneak previews. Most of the floor level seats (where I sit so I can stretch my long legs) are slightly broken. They seat part tilts downward so its not a comfortable seat. Most other seats that I've sat in have been just fine though. They do not recline, not even a little bit though.
Always clean, but no paper towels in the rest room. Movie theater, clean, my wife enjoyed the Movie, I enjoyed the nap. US
Pretty good experience despite being a little out of the way
GO WITH THE FAM ALL THE TIME. GREAT EXPERIENCES!
This place is showing its age. But still a nice theater.
I love the movie theaters. Staff is so helpful and courteous. Bathroom is so clean.. The theater floor #3 was very clean. I went to see "POMS". The movie was funny and sad. AARP showing before they hit the theater
Great location
I did not like this movie theater. The seats needed to be upgraded bad. They had no good food selection. I was very itchy sitting in those seats, in the bar area was the nicest place. They had no updated movies to watch. We paid 23.00 and some change for two hotdogs and two drinks. Never again
I went to the movies here, I like that it's easy to get to by metro and I'd you drive there's a parking garage. Great choice of stores to shop at. Nice to be at a place you can get items you need or want and relax by checking out a movie.
Not my favorite movie theater. Only came here for the premier of Absolutely Fabulous.
While the substructure shops are still filling out, the street level shops are well established and offer a nice selection.
This location is horrible. My girlfriend and I heard so much about Bethesda, so we thought we would check out their AMC theater. BIG MISTAKE, we walked around this dead mall 3 times, looking for anytype of signage to direct us to the theater. SPOILER ALERT... there was none. Finally we entered the deserted mall, only to be greeted by a horrible smell of bodily fluids and McDonald's food Ewww. Thankfully a McDonald's employee pointed us in the right direction but by the time we figured out that the elevator we were closest to didn't go to the third floor, and we missed our showtime. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! PLEEEEAAAASE do yourself a favor and skip this location even it does reside in the ever so "Affluent" Bethesda.
I LOVE THIS THEATER! Great location. Always clean. They have their own bar! And they validate parking!
The theater is on the top level inside the gallerie/mall.
Great location. There is not a bar at this location and the seats need to be replaced. Really spacious in the inside.
It’s like every other movie theater. However, the bathroom is TRASH! It reeked of pee and it was gross. I honestly thought I was gonna contract some sort of UTI. Also, they only have 2 stalls!
I have a very good time. I love
My wife and I came here just once to watch a movie in a good time. It was in the middle of a week in the morning. I recommended.
A nice movie theater for what it is. It is layed out fairly well and provides all of the necessities.
Favorite place to go
Always enjoy coming here. Seats are comfy the don't recline but are soft.
Fantastic theatre.
OK older location easy to get to via Metro. Never seems crowded. Concessions expensive, as expected at an AMC theater. Join their Stubs club online for discounts.
Clean. Decent concessions... seats are comfy.
Been trying out different theaters in the area and this is my favorite so far. It's clean, pretty mellow as far as crowds go and it's right off metro so you don't have to worry about driving/parking. Plus, there's a bar inside.

I'm fairly certain the A/C here works, but they don't use it. It was horribly uncomfortable and I listened to a crackling speaker for 2 hours.
Went to see Black Panther over the weekend with my girlfriend and had a horrific experience. Couple in mid 20's next to me had make-out session entire movie like they were teenagers, dude smoking weed, kids crying, stick white substance on my seat, over just friggin nasty. Never going back there.
Stale popcorn, never fresh...
Place seriously needs a renovation. Seats looked unclean and the consessions were subpar. Below average place in an upscale area
Is ok for an older theater. A small bathroom. Just it's convenient to where it live at the moment.
Great time at the Movies - really nice concession stand for refreshments & snacks, clean and open restrooms, quiet-- lots of legroom within the movie theater ! The mall itself - has lots of great shops! There's no question You will enjoy yourselfers
Love my local theater. Pretty standard, plus it has a bar!
Great theatre! Have the AMC pass, and it is a great deal
This is one of my favorit theaters, and, before 12noon the cost is $6
I don't hate the place I love it it's nice
Brought my father. We both had a great time! Senior discount and validate parking. The speakers were not too loud. A good thing! Watched THE MEG starring Jason Statham. Great special effects! Awesome.
They do quite a few 21+ only showings. It's very quiet on weekdays too.
Staff is ok; seats extremely uncomfortable and many are broken ; location is convenient.
This is our go-to theater. Always fun!
Seats suck ,food overpriced based on other theatres, staff at concessions great
Sad the matinee shows has been eliminated
Not been revamped like the other AMCs. Still a good place to catch a movie in the neighborhood though.
The movie sucked. I know it's not the theatres fault but still...
Nice theater. Just wish the validated parking was free.
Best ever!
I like this movie theater. It's got competitive ticket prices, a good selection of snacks, good image quality and decent seats.
It costs about four dollars extra to buy a ticket online, yet there isn't reserved seating. I came to see They Shall Not Grow Old, I'm 32, and they asked for ID two separate times, then to see my ticket again after I sat down. Why the scrutiny? Seats are nice though.
Love the service, selection and experience.
Not a good choice for family. Paid parking. They validate but you still need to pay some. Old facility. Smell real bad. Popcorn was not fresh. Soda was flat. Dirty restroom. Good for people with no friend and family an not afraid of ghosts.
Used to be our favorite theater. Now inside an aging mall with disappearing dining choices, we rarely go. Sad
Concession stand wasn't well stocked. Concession stand cashiers were rude and unprofessional when dealing with adults and children. Theater was outdated but ok. Screening was great!
$6 Club charge??? $15 per ticket? Never again
Good theater.
Great Experience! Small Audience with plenty of seating options. Many of the AMC Theatres in the area have assigned seating, so it feels strange when booking without being able to select your seat. Also, wonder if they are going to ever update to the new more comfortable reclining chairs. Staff is always friendly and helpful.
Small and comfortable
Great theater for screenings.
This movie theater is my secound best to go to.. one bus ride away from home ..

Loved the movie theater, concessions are no more expensive than anywhere else, parking was $12!
Nice theater with drinks and very comfortable seats
They let 14 and 15 year olds into an R rated film, ruined it! I will never go to that theater again, horrible!
This AMC location is easily accessible from the red line Metro and is central to lots and lots of shopping options. We are AMC Stubs Premier members (worth it!). We've seen quite a few movies here over the past few months. There have been a few hiccups here and there but nothing that would stop us from going back. The seats are comfortable and recline pretty far. Everytime we've been here the staff has been friendly but none want to be accountable. For example, once there was no butter in the dispenser and we told the closest person behind the counter and were told, "Just hold the button." I mean, we're pretty regular and know that the butter dispenser can be slow and we had been holding down the button but ... nothing. Nevertheless, we tried again to no avail but the original guy we mentioned this to was no longer around so we told someone else. She, too, told us to hold the button. By this time we're a bit frustrated and coming up against showtime so we tell her we did and we have been. With a huge sigh, she comes over to check for herself and finds that it, in fact, is not dispensing. Without saying anything to us, she goes somewhere to (I assume) get what she needs to refill the thing -- we didn't end up waiting because we didn't want to miss the start of the movie. We eventually did come back out during a lull in the moving to get butter.
I enjoy visiting this area. It has a variety of, restaurants, shopping, movie theater and more.
Kind staff, pleasant ambiance, and great movies
Ok movie experience, nothing special. For the price of movie's in the theater these days, I expect the theatre to be nice and to have a really good sound system. This theater is middle of the road.
Fun place to spend an afternoon.
Old theater, no reclining seats, no updated concession, bar is closed except weekends, and tiny theaters.
My favorite movie theater.
Nice movie theater. Comfortable seating.
Nice theatre
This theater's seating hasn't been updated yet and has no seat selection. But it's one of the cheaper AMCs in the area.
This is my local AMC (I live a block away). It is always nice and clean and the theaters are rarely full (maybe a weekend opening blockbuster?). It is very 90s/2000s in that it has nice stadium seating and the theaters themselves are fairly large. It would be nice for an update to the new posh/reclining seats that other local AMC theaters are getting. There is also a bar inside the theater, though I have not used that personally, but it is definitely somewhat unique for the area.
Love this place but too quite
Enjoyed going to AMC at Mazza Gallerie. It is right by the metro station and many decent restaurants which make it great for a date night. They also have tickets for a little over $5 on Tuesdays. Overall, I was pleased with how well kept the theater was.
Convenient location near the Friendship Heights metro station. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Stadium seating but the seats aren't the most comfortable when compared to some of the other AMC locations that have the recliners.
There are lots of high end stores and restaurants surrounding this theater. This place lacks individual movie screening rooms, but the screening rooms they have are massive with lots of seats. Great place for a movie date or a large family.
Much better theater, nice and clean and good staff.
My husband and I go to AMC Mazza movies weekly or every two weeks. The staff is friendly, knows we're regulars, and gives us good customer service. We like the location(direct access to metro rail) and theater is inside the mall. Very nice theaters.
Cleaning and neat but expensive as hell
It's fine. It's a movie theater. You can get to it from a metro station without going outside so it's great if the weather's lousy.
Great
Great movie, great theatre.
Friendly and Honest
There's something for everyone! TJMaxx is in this mall.
Seats hurt bum
Cool
Out dated seats are old style and uncomfortable. I would not recommend making a trip to this theater. Also they charge the same as updated theaters so find another place to go. Only pro is parking is easy.
Management was terrible. Refused to let my 17 year old brother in without an ID. Had to check my ID twice but let three people the same age in front of us without checking IDs. Disrespectful as hell and for a place that gets no business they shouldn’t be cutting down any business they could get. Asked for a refund.
Nice area.
Old style movie theater with the traditional fold down seats. Good service and they have a bar towards the back if you care to enjoy some spirits or beer before your film starts. The bar was closed which seemed odd for a Friday night. The theater was clean and the floor wasn't sticky which is what I remember old style movie theaters being like.
Very regular the service its not very interesting but if you are y Dc is not too bad option
They're an ok theater, not anything special. They do have a bar which is nice. One thing I judge places on is their bathrooms: upkeep, cleanliness, and function - this place fails for upkeep and cleanliness. I went to both bathrooms and I really didnt want to use either.
Great time. Just a plain theater. No leg room .
Disappointing. The location is convenient, and the parking can be validated which is nice. The staff at the concession stand were nice but incredibly slow and inefficient (took me almost 20 minutes to get my order while some people were just standing around). The theater seats were old, broken and uncomfortable.
Clean, sound was good, and great service
Friendly staff (Enough) and quiet clean spot
Wish they had better bathroom facilities and concessions, but it is always clean, the staff is nice and the parking validation is really nice.
VERY GOOD.
Great stores
Decent seating in the regular theaters
Ok. Seats don't recline. Another post mentioned homeless using the restroom and I saw it too - not even in the lobby restroom but the one inside.
Not my preferred movie theater. I only come here for the free pre-release movie screenings. Other than that, there is nothing special about this theater to drive all the way to Friendship Heights to watch a movie, especially when you have to pay for parking at all of the surrounding garages. The garage directly below the mall validates up to 3 hours. However, some new movies run longer than 2 hours and you have to consider getting there early to claim good seats so that may take you slightly over the time, which will cost you ~$5. It's one of the older theaters in the area. No reserved seating or reclining leather seats. Typical concessions. They serve alcohol in their Club Bar, which is located towards the back of the theater. There are two bathrooms, but very few stalls. It's located inside of the mall on the top floor. It's metro accessible and has plenty of restaurants in its vicinity. Don't forget to sign up / use your AMC Stubs rewards card when you buy tickets and concessions so you can rack up points!
Nice quick and convenient!!! Seen "US"
I went there for a viewing for the new movie Equalizer 2 thought it was pretty strange to have to take your phone but I did understand as some people do dumb things. But it made it difficult when you had to reach out to the person that was supposed to be coming with you and they didn't travel with you to the show. Other than that service was pretty quick. Since we're pretty tight though
Loved the movie theater, concessions are no more expensive than anywhere else, parking was $12!
Nice theater with drinks and very comfortable seats
They let 14 and 15 year olds into an R rated film, ruined it! I will never go to that theater again, horrible!
