Magic Johnson get NO!!! Stars. It's 2019 and no way in hell should that place be so dirty, it was shameful to go to a black theater or at least a theater considered black owned and find it so incredibly filthy. Magic Johnson makes far too much money not to hire the appropriate staff to keep that place clean. I was terrified to even order food so I played it safe an order things pre packaged. Nacho cheese and a pack of Snickers. My selection of beverage was also horrible the fountain drinks are incredibly nasty no matter where you buy it so for that they can't be blamed. I was terrified of the bathroom. Filthy is an understatement. Why would I feel inspired to support anywhere where I am terrified catching some type of disease. I am home now and I feel sick I know it's just my allergies but why would being there trigger of my allergies to this extent. No stars, horrible, disgraceful and dirty. What is magic doing with the money clearly it's not being spent on the community. I did actually get sick it was not allergies.

I go during the day, it's quite and I don't have to wait. The theater screens are huge and sound is true surround sound. Two complaints, the theater isnt the cleanest and the seats dont recline. The biggest plus is location. The area needs theater.

I’m currently sitting in the Theater waiting on the movie (US) to come on as I write this comment I prefer not to go to the movies theater in the hood but just so happen I was in the area. I purchase tickets &’ ahead of me was a couple (young couple) &’ the person who check the tickets told the couple she couldn’t let them come pass because they didn’t have ID after the already purchase the tickets HOWEVER before all of this happen as I’m standing in line waiting to purchase my tickets she didn’t ask no one else for their ID! I just feel like it wasn’t Fair at all! If you gonna do your job do it RIGHT ask everyone for their ID! It’s to many Ghetto loud outbursing disrespectful kids at this movie theater ! . Save yourself a trip ‘& go somewhere else ! .

Overall poor experience. Smelled weed on the concession staff. Coke Freestyle was not stocked (no additional flavors, vast majority of sodas unavailable, it was basically regular or Diet Coke) on a SATURDAY NIGHT. Popcorn was mostly crumbles. Seats are old. Theatre was not cleaned before the show. It's really disappointing because the shopping center looks like it once was, and still could be with the right investment, really nice. Now, nothing but vacant shop spaces surrounding this could be should be outstanding movie theatre. Unfortunately, with the current care of this theatre, it may go the route of the rest of the shopping center.

I live in this neighborhood so this is theater that my husband and I frequent. But I'm disappointed in the cleanliness of the theater. The restrooms are dirty, especially the family restroom. I wouldn't put my baby on the changing table. There was urine on the floor. When I asked an employee he started that he told management three times already. The back rows of the theater usually has popcorn on the floor and seats. The floor is sticky as if soda is on the floor. The theatre should be cleaned between shows for the next movie. If the management that is inside the theater isn't going to insure the theater is cleaned then hopefully this reaches a district manager to ensure that we have theater to come that is up to standards.

It's unfortunate since this is the local movie theater, but it is so poorly kept, it's amazing that the CDC or FDA or other federations have not required better upkeep. Some staff is professional, but most are not and unaware of how to give any type of customer service. The bathrooms are disgusting and completely falling apart. The four juice machines rarely have many of the options offered. I would love to be able to not have to go far to watch a movie, however, this movie theater is forcing the community to visit other theaters. Please please consider fixing the theater. Thank you

Purchased tickets for Endgame when they went on sale. I arrived at my showing spent $25 on food for me and my son. It was his first time attending a movie so I was looking forward to our experience and this moving that I have been waiting a whole year to premier. I get there at 1030 and there are no seats available. No one at the door to check and make sure that the people in the theater ACTUALLY BELONG FOR THAT MOVIE. Meanwhile the ticket taker is still sending people to theater 1! Many people had come out to complain. I had to change my showing to 2pm and PAY MORE!! I purchased food that I didn't use which was a total of $33 down the drain. The whole thing was disorganized and they had one showing and in small theaters. I don't know if they were surprised that the movie came out. But nothing was refunded and the fact that I had to pay more for their mistakes was a disgrace.

Best sound and screen system in the dmv metro area. The food is a bit pricey and so are the tickets, but the theaters are definitely high quality. I've had a few instances of bad staffing and sometimes the movies have had malfunctions that we had to call on the staff to get fixed, but that's not a normal experience at this theater. If you're looking for a high quality theater in this area, this one beats all of the ones in the prince George's County and metro accessible areas through dc, Maryland, and Virginia

I like this movie theater it's close to home & convenient. I enjoy the early release movies on Thursday nights at this AMC. It's always clean the restroom stay well stocked for the exception of the soap dispensers not working. I wish they had better pricing at the concessions due to already having to purchase tickets. Also the theaters are clean no popcorn on the floors, or messes left behind. Enough space between seats. I enjoy the summer $4 deals for my children. This is a great theater to bring the entire family for a night out on the town. The

The theater itself was ok,clean and the seats were comfortable. But the area looks depleted and gray,looks like some construction is underway. The neon signs on the restaurant's were flickering and some letters were out,we normally don't go to that area but we had to see Spiderman before it was spoiled for us completely.

The bathrooms smell like a porter potty, the outside to the inside is littered with trash and the the parking lot smells like a dumpster (mostly because the dumpster was full and right near the parking lot). The seats don't recline... The theatre 6 was hot. I will NEVER return to the establishment unless Management steps up. I dont care what the neighborhood is like or who the patrons are. How do you leave trash literally surrounding the entrance!? There is no pride in the theatre and its sickening. Widely disappointed in this AMC.

This theater needs an upgrade. Doesn't compare to AMC theaters in neighboring areas. Seat selection is not enforced but required when purchasing a ticket. Bathrooms are not maintained. I believe this structure is not going to exist much longer as this area is looking quite abandoned.

It was fine for me & my husband but their were a few senior patrons there & they too had to wait outside with no seats (which was messed up to me). This is a good theater, we've patronized for many years. The staff are relatively nice, and helpful. There's a good-sized selection of tasty movie food (curly fries, popcorn,slurpee, hot dogs, cand, etc). The theaters are nice w/ stadium seating. Its always clean. Last night we took the children to see the Grinch. When we arrived the theater was a bit too warm. They listened and turned the heat down. Even on crowded days, when its super-packed, we've always had an enjoyable time.

The theater is a little old, but it's not dirty or anything. Make sure to get food before you come to this theater, because despite it being located in a shopping center there is absolutely no food around. Everything is closed down in that area for construction. Only the theater is open.

My #1 preferred theater in the area. Seats are comfortable and armrests go all the way up so you can hold your lady properly during a movie (if she prefers). Concession stand pricing is still absurd, but the drink machines are on customer end and refills are a given.

I supported 'Sinners Wanted'. I had not been to this theater in a very long time. I sat at the very top because it had more leg room. However, the very bottom 9f the screen was a little obscured. The concession lines were extremely long, and parking close to the theater is challenging. I would suggest to get there at least 45 minutes before the movies in order to get a close parking space and concessions. I went on a Friday night.

The shipping center is closed down and there's construction all around the movie theatre. It looks unsafe to even Park your car. The concession stand closes half an hour BEFORE the last movie starts! That just didn't make since to me. The theatre needs to go ahead and close it's doors

Decent but not great. Good staffing levels but service isn't representative of the number of employees. Do not expect for your stubs premiere status to be serviced any quicker than no membership even though a separate line does exist. Sometime the theaters are clean sometimes not and good luck getting through a movie without people playing with their cell phones.

I TRIED My family and friends are always teasing me about how far I am willing to go to receive quality customer service. I have lived in the Prince George County community for well over 3 decades of my life, but that has NEVER been an area I've liked to do my leisure activities in. And the AMC Magic Johnson Theatre gave me the perfect example of why this past weekend. So First of all, I only went there because it's the closest theatre to my house and I honestly just wanted to go see a little Saturday evening show. Anyway, I pull up to the theatre and there is a fire truck blaring and ALL of the customers are standing outside. Ok...things happen, emergencies happen and for instances like that (the unpredictable) is why I go to the movies over 30 minutes early. On Saturday, although my movie wasn't until 8:00 I was there at 7:15. Once I parked and walked up, i notice that the theatre has begun to let people back in. But once we stepped into the building we quickly realize that it's a MAD HOUSE! There are 3 different lines and no one seems to know where to go to get a ticket, or simply walk up to the agent taking the tickets if you had them on your phone like I did. The chaos was draining and because I don't even feel like telling you the whole drawn out story I'll wrap it up with this. The lack of communication by management left too much confusion. Every movie planned after the emergency incident was cancelled or pushed back and the long lines were because everyone was being issued a refund (or at least asking for one not sure how either luck faired). I on the other hand had to go through an hour with fandango to get a credit because it needed to be issued AFTER the start time of the movie (rules rules), which was much easier and allowed me to drop that DRAMA quickly and happily remind my critics that it pays to go places known for better customer service then to be inconvenienced.

AMAZING experience last year on 9/1/18 when I saw Teen Titans Go! To The Movies for the second time here. This was my first time at an AMC theater. I was WOWED by the HUGE screen and theater auditorium! Very nice sound quality. Really big and fancy inside and outside. Would DEFINITELY come back here again!

Why are you not showing "If Beale Street Could Talk (2018)" this movie is great Christmas story of Afro-Americans and its a good movie. Why didn't this make the cut on your Christmas movies list. I'm usually a Cinemark guy but this AMC was just as good. The entry was a little confusing. We had bought our tickets online but didn't exactly know where to check in at. Apparently we jumped the line by going straight to concessions. Apologies to those we cut in front of. Eventually we got our tickets scanned. Grabbed our snacks (line was long but moved consistently) and headed to their IMAX for Captain Marvel. The IMAX was ok, I can never tell the difference though. Movie was good, seats were fine, crowd for the movie was great, overall one of the better experiences I've had at an AMC. Hopefully the area around the theater comes back to life because there is so much potential there.

Thank God he wandered out just as suspiciously as he arrived. I hadn't been to this theater in years and I have no desire to return.

The experience at the movie theaterwas not bad as far as the picture and audio are concerned but the environment is leaves a lot to be desired. It's not inherently the movie theaters fault but the location is definitely sketchy. The most unsettling thing is is that there are no street lights in front of the theater so it's pretty much a dark road in front of the theatre. This area was good in the past but those days are long gone.

This is my third time at this theatre. It was Very Nice!! Very clean, folks are friendly, theaters are nice and comfortable, and the lobby well lit. The sound was perfect. There was no line when we got there. My only gripe, Food Too Expensive !! Hot Dogs, Small Soda, Popcorn, Curly Fries are all $6.50. Pizza the size of a large cell phone with a soda . . . $14. I ended up getting Chicken Tenders, $8. I spent $20 on food alone. Crazy !! I will eat before I go next time.
