We bought our tickets online for a late night show. Seating is reserved so we were able to get our favorite spot. Parking was abundant and free. Getting into the theater took a few min as Rio is under construction, but it wasn't difficult. We placed our food order at concessions and got our drinks. There are now escalators in the lobby so you don't need to leave and re-enter to go upstairs. The new seats are amazing. They're big and comfy with tray tables that swivel. The seats have leg rests and the ability to recline controlled by buttons on the inside of the armrest. There was a wall behind our seats so we were not reclining into the row behind us. Or food was delivered quickly, accurately, and hot. The pretzel bites and flat bread were delicious, a big step up from their previous offerings. The projection and sound system were great and the entire movie experience was wonderful.

My family and I went to see Spiderman far from home, and were not informed that the theatre we were going into had no AC, we assumed that once the previews were over and the movie started the AC would turn on, we were wrong. This was on a day where the weather outside was about 90 degrees, and with a theatre full of people it got really hot really fast. The only reason we did not leve is because my kid brother was throwing a fit every time we said we should leave. Before purchasing a ticket on a hot summer day I would recommend asking the staff if the theatre is in working order. And for staff or any employee looking you should ALWAYS inform your customers of anything that may interrupt from the movie going expirience. Only reason this is 2 stars is because they have some pretty good food.

This was by far my worst experience with a movie theater, EVER! 1. The usher had ZERO customer service skills. Not even a hello upon approach. 2. Upon ordering my a large popcorn, with a large drink all for a whopping $20, I proceeded to the butter machine(s) on the left hand side, both of which were empty. I informed the attendant and she directed me the two other set of butter on the right hand side, without any attempt to refill the two empty ones. Mind you this is a 1PM showing on a Tuesday which one would think they’d be full considering the time and day, that’s assuming they do their due diligence and refill and clean the equipment every night. 3. I go to get my ice and soda at the lower level soda machines, I don’t sip my drink until I arrive upstairs to enter the showroom, when I take a sip of the soda it’s hardly a cherry coke, but of a cherry soda with NO coke. So then I go these two other machines they have upstairs and frankly with no surprise neither machine had ice, they were either both nonworking or empty.... who knows. So I decide to just get a coke and carry on with no ice, when I sip the coke as I’m sitting watching the movie I so much anticipated to watch 20 minutes late, the damn coke is flat!!!! So needless to say I had to leave the movie and miss more of it to walk all the way downstairs to get a different drink WITH ice. I can’t make this up. The salvation here was the actual movie, thanks to Joaquin Phoenix. This place is a complete overly priced mess. Good luck!

Big layout for a movie theater. Modern, with a very open feel. Brightly lit common areas. The placement of where the bar is located is inconvenient but I suppose that couldn't be helped. Theaters are clean usually. Parking can be a challenge, but not the worst. Has 2 levels. I love the location. Any business located at The Rio is pretty much winning.

Went to watch Endgame and wasn't informed of the A/C issue they had. 3 hour movie and struggled through the whole thing because of the HEAT. Management said they couldn't help so I strongly consider you watch it or any other movie some place else.

I like all the new upgrades. The chairs are comfortable and I enjoyed the food menu (delivered to your seat). A lot pricey but I didn't have to worry about arriving late for my movie. And it was a clean, inviting environment. But why no handicapped doors to get into the theater and the building? Hmm.

Being from TX I only rock with Regal. New to the AMC family. I only joined so I wouldn’t have to wait in line behind people I was there before. The benefits of being a Stubs/A-List member. The food is overpriced but that’s all theaters. I will recommend their fries, chicken tenders meal and the popcorn. Idk what they make it with but it’s fluffy and tasty. The seats are a little hard to figure out in the dark but comfortable. Parking is the only issue. If your movie starts at 5pm get there by 430pm.

The theater is great. The new renovations have made this theater one of the best I've been to. At the time I am writing this, the IMAX theater was still under construction. I am excited to see what they are doing with it. Adding reclining chairs to it would be awesome. Would definitely recommend this place.

Love it come here if you want to watch a nice movie with reclining seats they have great staff and service they also have Dave and buster's right next to the theater in case you change your mind also a small amount of store that you can explore, like all theaters too expensive go to the doller store nearby and buy candy and other things dont know if they let you bring things in but they let me bring things in without a problem.

Wow, I just could not believe what I got into today. It was a nightmare to go to a movie theater like the AMC Rio today. I used to love this place and gave them 5 stars but not anymore. First off the staffs didn't bother to guide us with the theater number we supposed to go to. Second, there was popcorn trashing all over places, especially around the fountain drink station. Third the theater was surprisingly hotter than usual that we were sweating entire movie on!!! And fourth, OMG trash was everywhere...trash was overflowed the trash cans by the theater entrance which was very filthy, not even mention the chairs with drinks left behind!!!!Grosss......I was so disappointing and disgusting.....

Fooled me. Upgrade the theatre to reclining seats and appears you can order from your seat but there are no buttons for ordering. You have to order at the counter and tell them where you sit. Not as nice as the ordering at some places, and I am sure the prices are higher because of it. Also the buttons to raise and lower the chair were confusing in the dark with no light. We go to the Rio a lot, so was a little disappointed it was not a true dine in theatre. It is an eat in theatre

My wife and I went here to watch The Avengers Endgame and loved it. However, nobody from their staff mentioned that their AC was having problems. It was hot inside the theater but we stayed because of the movie. After the showing, I told a staff member about the issue and told me that they were having technical problems with several of the theaters. And she said she was sorry for it. It would have been a non- issue if they put a notice about the problem beforehand.

I love the revamp they did to this theater! I love that I can get my tickets online and not have to wait in line. I love the fact that they have expanded the theatres and made them a lot more comfy with room to recline. I love being able to order the food and drinks to your seat. It is so awesome now. Not saying it wasn't before but the new add ons are a great addition to an already amazing place. Its always so clean in the place and the staff is great. The movies are such great quality! There were *25 minutes* of trailers and commercials before the movie even started (counting from when the ticket said the movie would start). When the movie (finally) did start, there was a scratch down the middle of the screen, along with a stain just off-center. Both were impossible to miss when the scene was bright. (Theater 10.) The final bad part of this theater was the reclining seats. I was in seat 8 and the footrest would not rise farther than about 40 degrees. Same with seats 7 and 9. All felt lopsided (left/right) and didnt elevate the legs enough. If I can help it, I will never see a movie in this theater ever again.

An experience like no other. Their food, albeit very expensive, is really good - and there’s nothing like convenience of having the food brought to your seat instead of juggling it all around trying to figure out where to seat. Moreover, those signature seats. I’m yet to find something as comfortable for my living room. And make sure that, if you go more than once a month to the movie, you’re part of AMC Stubs A-List. It’s cheaper than buying two tickets a month, gives you preference when shopping for candy and popcorn, and you can watch up to three movies a week for free on pretty much any format (even their fancy Prime 3D, or the all loved IMAX). It doesn’t really get much better than this.

The newly renovated Cinemas is pretty nice. Havent tried the food but I like the comfy seats. Be aware that some seats don't lean all the way back and the leg rest area doesn't lift as high in some of the auditoriums

The renovations here look nice. I think serving drinks and food at the seats was a good idea, plus the theater has a nice new open entrance. I'm not one to complain but it feels that the theater made some sacrifices for the new amenities. Sound proofing for instance. We sat in theater 2, a dine in theater, and saw Bohemian Rhapsody but we could hear Creed II in the adjacent theater, and it was really loud and distracting. Also the tables for the food are reminiscent of fold away desks in college lecture halls, except they don't fold away which made the seats difficult to get in and out of, and it made the seats feel very restrictive.

Things are a little sticky at the end of the night - probably to be expected in a dine-in venue, but still not pleasant to have to avoid touching the tray in your assigned recliner. Concession and ticket staff are great and AMC's discounts for Stubs members are really good. Definitely recommend - but look carefully before you sit down, and maybe bring some cleaning wipes.

So this AMC is different from others in that you can order at the food counter and get the food delivered to your seat number. This sounds pretty awesome until you see that the prices for the food are very high, which is what loses this location a star. Other than that, the theaters are pretty nice!

Movie quality: 5/5 Sound and picture were both great. Facility: 4/5 Ice machines didnt work and there were multiple cup lids and straws on the ground. There currently is reconstruction mose due to coming attraction...and it shows. Seats: 3/5 Your will back will sweat and get stuck to your shirt. Seat does recline back but legs only recline so far up as to allow people to walk through the isle. Food: 4/5 Nice variety but do NOT come hungry. Prices are way up there.

I thought you had to be 17+ to watch a rated R movie. According to an employee here, you can’t be under 21??? I’m confused. This is the 2nd time we’ve had an issue here since the building changed and was renovated. Did rules change too? Ridiculous.

This theatre has nice seats but the theatre itself is awful. No one cleaned the theatre and there was food everywhere from the people before us. No one bothered to clean it in between shows. There is popcorn all over the seats and garbage everywhere. If you want any snacks you have to go downstairs and stand in line to get in the theatre to get to concession and then go all the way back up and stand in line again to get into another section. Its ridiculous.

I wasn't sold on the Dine-in theater thing at first, but the menu is pretty decent and I have to say, its really nice to have an assigned seat ahead of time so you dont have to get to the theater early to sit together.

Overall experience was decidedly okay...nothing was amazing, but lots could be better. Sat in the Prime theater which was nice, but not really worth the extra money (seats no better...maybe worse then other theaters, but I liked the sound vibrations and stadium feel). Contrary to what AMCs website implies, Prime is still Dine-In and it was okay. Ordered 30 minutes before movie start and it took an hour and a half, it was pretty cold by the time we got it. Also they never come through and clear the large containers, so they are just in the way. Lastly, the pool of ...liquid in my cup holder at the beginning of the movie was a let down.

IMAX was super clean and there were no sound or video issues with the theater. I ordered a burger and fries (so much better than I thought it was going to taste; restaurant quality) and the delivery to my seat was without incident. Will be back again and again!

This place bills itself as a full-service dine-in theater. That is not true! You have to order your own food before going into the movie. Then they deliver it to you during the movie. If you want more food you have to leave the movie and order it outside. Then at the end you have to bus your own dishes which are all disposable. I've been to better dine-in movie theaters.

I felt like the Prime seats were no better than the normal recliners and actually less comfortable. The delivery of my nachos to my seat was amazing. Also, the Ultimate Nachos were very tasty but they didnt have Nearly enough toppings/cheese on them to warrant the price or grandeur of something that is "ultimate."

This was one of the worst movie experiences that I've had in a long time. My wife and I opted for a dare night to break up the norm. We decided to splurge and we got a few different things from the food menu and got a seat in the IMAX. We started off in the theater thinking it was quite warm, but figured that maybe they were waiting to turn the air on at the start of the movie. We were wrong. An hour in and we were drenched and feeling nauseous from the heat and lack of airflow. Despite multiple complaints to staff, the air never came on, nor did anyone ever bother explaining why we had no air. Oh, you were probably wondering where our food was; well so were we! After an hour of waiting for our food and getting more and more frustrated, I finally left the movie to go ask a waiter about the delay on our food. The man I spoke with was very kind and offered again to speak with a manager about the air and also to get our food for us immediately. When all was said and done, we spend two and a half hours sweating, over an hour waiting for our food, and the rest of the night trying to recover from feeling gross. Based on the overinflated prices and the bad experience, I highly recommend spending your money elsewhere!

Huge and clean, recliners. I have an A+ membership but when i get in the lines at the concessions for membership, none of the employees really act as if it's anything special and most don't even pay attention to anyone standing in it. This is at ALL AMCs I've gone to. I rarely get food because of the prices but last couple of times did and people in the regular lines would get helped before me, standing in the 'cut the line'. Again this is at concessions. Entrance was fine here with good customer service.

Would be great if they started it based on volume of people. Standing in line for 45 mins to get a drink or popcorn is not reasonable. This has now happened for last 2 movies I've seen here. Won't be coming back, which is really unfortunate since this theater has so much potential and is the closest to my home.

While having a bar is a nice touch, as expected the drinks are wildly overpriced. They also have 4 of the soda machines, which every time I've gone there have been out of ice, and the soda slightly warm. Its ice folks... expect to need a lot of it.... should not be that difficult to fix.

service was a little slow even though very fe people were in line waiting to purchase food. 3 or 4 customer service reps, not sure what they were doing. Also we only had one option to see the movie in 3d or something which jacked the price. the ladies bathroom is always nasty? why???? what is wrong with people. Regardless, it should be checked and cleaned repeadly throughout the day. the redo of the place is great.

WARNING: This is NOT an AMC Dine-In theater. They should be ashamed to label it such. I've been to AMC Dine-In theaters, and they are very nice. This is an abomination. A month ago, when my kids were excited to go see Detective Pikachu, I said, "Let's go all out. I think AMC finally opened a Dine-In theater near us." So we booked tickets. My disappointment started as soon as we entered. Here, you order your food from a very limited and very expensive menu of glorified snack bar items at the concession stand before going to your seat. Then, if you are lucky, they might eventually deliver it to your seat in cardboard containers with plastic utensils. No wait staff to take your order, no one to call if anything isn't right, no bar service. In short, it has nothing to do with real AMC Dine-In theaters. Also, notice I said, if you are lucky, you'll get your food. My son's order never came. I ended up missing almost 30 minutes of the movie going out twice to ask where his meal was. The second time I went out, I finally got to talk to a manager who informed me that it wouldn't even be possible for them to make his meal now without it taking a very long time. To his credit, he voided the credit card order for our entire meal, and while I felt that was a noble gesture, I didn't feel bad about it all since I felt so cheated on the evening. On top of this, two of our meals weren't even correct as ordered, and again, there is no way to call anyone to get things corrected. I figure at least that paid for me to buy the blu-ray of the movie when it comes out so I can finally actually see it. In short, this "deliver to seat" concept is fatally flawed in my opinion and AMC should not label it "dine-in". I think they have a really bad concept here and I can't believe it will last long before they change it. I could go on about how they don't even have the "Dine-In" theater seating here to make it comfortable to eat at your seat, and no soft lighting so you can see what they've brought you and such, but I think I've made it clear this has nothing to do with their real Dine-In theaters. I hope they eventually open a real Dine-In theater near us, but I won't be back to this location.

Went to see Joker in the IMAX theater. The seats have almost no leg room in front. I'm only 5'10"and was struggling to stretch my legs even a little bit. It was very cramped. Also felt like they had the heat on. I was sweating throughout the whole movie. Bad experience. The movie was great but the theater sucked!

The newly renovated Cinemas is pretty nice. Havent tried the food but I like the comfy seats. Be aware that some seats don't lean all the way back and the leg rest area doesn't lift as high in some of the auditoriums

The renovations here look nice. I think serving drinks and food at the seats was a good idea, plus the theater has a nice new open entrance. I'm not one to complain but it feels that the theater made some sacrifices for the new amenities. Sound proofing for instance. We sat in theater 2, a dine in theater, and saw Bohemian Rhapsody but we could hear Creed II in the adjacent theater, and it was really loud and distracting. Also the tables for the food are reminiscent of fold away desks in college lecture halls, except they don't fold away which made the seats difficult to get in and out of, and it made the seats feel very restrictive.

Things are a little sticky at the end of the night - probably to be expected in a dine-in venue, but still not pleasant to have to avoid touching the tray in your assigned recliner. Concession and ticket staff are great and AMC's discounts for Stubs members are really good. Definitely recommend - but look carefully before you sit down, and maybe bring some cleaning wipes.

So this AMC is different from others in that you can order at the food counter and get the food delivered to your seat number. Overall experience was decidedly okay...nothing was amazing, but lots could be better. Sat in the Prime theater which was nice, but not really worth the extra money (seats no better...maybe worse then other theaters, but I liked the sound vibrations and stadium feel). Contrary to what AMCs website implies, Prime is still Dine-In and it was okay. Ordered 30 minutes before movie start and it took an hour and a half, it was pretty cold by the time we got it. Also they never come through and clear the large containers, so they are just in the way. Lastly, the pool of ...liquid in my cup holder at the beginning of the movie was a let down.

This place bills itself as a full-service dine-in theater. That is not true! You have to order your own food before going into the movie. Then they deliver it to you during the movie. If you want more food you have to leave the movie and order it outside. Then at the end you have to bus your own dishes which are all disposable. I've been to better dine-in movie theaters.

Huge and clean, recliners. I have an A+ membership but when i get in the lines at the concessions for membership, none of the employees really act as if it's anything special and most don't even pay attention to anyone standing in it. This is at ALL AMCs I've gone to. I rarely get food because of the prices but last couple of times did and people in the regular lines would get helped before me, standing in the 'cut the line'. Again this is at concessions. Entrance was fine here with good customer service.

WARNING: This is NOT an AMC Dine-In theater. They should be ashamed to label it such. I've been to AMC Dine-In theaters, and they are very nice. This is an abomination. A month ago, when my kids were excited to go see Detective Pikachu, I said, "Let's go all out. I think AMC finally opened a Dine-In theater near us." So we booked tickets. My disappointment started as soon as we entered. Here, you order your food from a very limited and very expensive menu of glorified snack bar items at the concession stand before going to your seat. Then, if you are lucky, they might eventually deliver it to your seat in cardboard containers with plastic utensils. No wait staff to take your order, no one to call if anything isn't right, no bar service. In short, it has nothing to do with real AMC Dine-In theaters. Also, notice I said, if you are lucky, you'll get your food. My son's order never came. I ended up missing almost 30 minutes of the movie going out twice to ask where his meal was. Sneak in your own food and drinks!! Came in to watch a movie this weekend and decided to get some popcorn and a drink. Was in line for almost 25 mins, (I was checking my watch). I was supposed to be the very next person to be helped and behind me was 29 other people, I counted!! The reason it took so long was because of the "AMC PREMIERE" members line get priority service. That line never had more than 4-5 people in the line and there was 7 employees behind the counter, 4 cashier's, 1 filling drinks and popcorn, and 2 (who I couldn't quite be sure but I believe) were preparing the bigger plates. Point is us regular folks had to wait until the premiere line was empty before they would take one of us. If you didn't like it, they would just turn you down or ignore you. I honestly don't blame the several people who left the line, but it was absolutely stupid that you have almost 30 people waiting in line and they get ignored. These are people who are trying to give you money for over priced food and you cant afford to give up just 1 cashier to attend them???? I would have given a better rating if they could have at least done that but they didn't.

The new renovation was nice, however this cinema is not for me. An AMC employee called Makila working in the box office was flat out rude to me when I purchased my ticket. She played deaf with me and refused to talk to me during the whole process for no reason, even though I tried my best to greet her first and smiled to her during the whole process. To AMC management: only good hardware is not good enough, you also need to hire the right people and train them properly to stay competitive! Don't let such staff to tarnish your image!

Came here for the $5 movie tickets on Tuesdays and was not disappointed. This location is currently undergoing renovations, but the theaters themselves are finished. The seats were incredibly comfortable, and they are even adjustable! I ordered popcorn and some water, and it was delicious. Next time I come for a movie I will be trying their dinner menu and alcohol selection.

My husband and I occasionally go to this theater for date night . We caught a late night movie. The person responsible for playing the movie forgot to turn it on. So we had to report it and wait for someone to turn the movie on. Sat for 15 min. Tje cleaners also forgot to clean the theater for the next occupants.Usually never have any issues at this theater. Think the fact that they funnel all orders---including their full menu dine - in ordering threw the same line makes just grabbing a popcorn or drink take SO much longer! They need to revisit their process, add more registers, etc, or tell guests to allow LOTS of extra time to grab their (way-overpriced) snacks they essentially force you to buy since you can't bring in your own. The least they could do is make it speedier /not make you late for your show while parting you with more of your money!!

The construction going on around the theater makes things a little confusing. I ordered dry rub wings and they had BBQ sauce on them, because this dine-in doesn't have servers it was too much of a hassle to have them correct the order because I was on the top floor and the food is on the bottom and the movie had already begun. FIFTY minutes later it arrived. 50!!! I was so hungry when we got there and had no idea it would take that long. The rows are not deep enough to walk down when people have their seats reclined (the Regal Rockville are perfect). I will never go back to this theater. The food was so-so, the service was decent, and there’s are only one set of restrooms and no soap. Gross.

They bring you your food while you watch the movie and the saets are very comfortable. They even have a Silver Diner on another level if you're hungry and you're into that type of restaurant. Mothers Day disaster!!!!!! My wife brought our kids here to watch Avengers End Game on Mothers Day. Halfway through the movie there was a fire alarm which required everyone to be evacuated. That is an understandable situation. What is unacceptable is what happened after. They made everyone wait outside for over an hour, only to be told that the rest of the movie would not be shown along with many others. They offered a refund which required everyone to stand in a mob of angry customers. Over 100 people. The other option was to request a refund online. My wife decided to bring our crying children home and request the refund online. She later found out that it couldn't be done online. She had to call and spend an hour on the phone to finally talk to someone that approved the refund. They initially told her they couldn't offer a refund. To the owners: Your establishment RUINED Mothers Day for my family and MANY others. I understand that a fire alarm is unavoidable. YOu could have easily offered something more than a refund for the half seen movie (this should be obvious). At a minimun offering a free movie or some type of concessions is what should have been offered. You clearly make a lot of money from your food service. Would it be so terrible to attempt to rectify this situation? Bringing customers back into the theaters would at least sell more food. We have made the decision never to come back to this business. I hope all the other families that were affected do the same. The horrific level of customer service is unacceptable! I'd recommend evaluating the management and making some changes. A loyal customer should easily bring in $1,500 in revenue each year. If they never come back that's worth $0!

I recently have seen 3 movies at this location. The new renovation has made the experience way more enjoyable. The atmosphere is really open and comfy. The new chairs and cupholders are clean and feel great. The entire theater is very clean, and the sound system is great. 5/5!

A few things bring this down. They are remodeling so there are lingering fumes that you can't seem to escape. The dine in part is upstairs but they don't they you that until you go to the check in downstairs and have to go back. Also the food delivery needs to be clearer as you order it downstairs and they deliver upstairs. It was not posted so we had to go back downstairs. If they enable mobile ordering that will resolve the last issue. If they improve these things then they are 4 or even 5 stars.

Definitely the best movie theaters in around RIO. It's not overly crowded but did find it a bit dirty (popcorn and overflowing trash cans) at times. The concessions attendants can be a bit customer friendly. So dont expect much when you go in to place your order.

So disappointing. We were very much looking forward to another high end movie theatre in our area, but the wait continues. The employees are great, the screens are nice and the audio is wonderful—but the springs in the seats are already breaking down and the bathrooms are already gross. Saddest of all was the IMAX theatre. Screen was pretty normal-looking and the seating was non-adjusting and downright claustrophobic. When we saw our third (and last) movie there last week, we had to go ask a staff member to turn on the air in the theatre. Don’t even bother with the bar—AMC doesn’t yet understand fresh ingredients (this is true for all their bars). While the bartenders are lovely, bar offerings are sophomoric and pre-fab tasting and syrupy at best. Go upstairs to Dave and Busters for pre-movie drinks instead. We’re regulars at the nearby iPic, the Arclight in Bethesda and the AMC in Georgetown. All three of those are STILL better bets. There’s just a feeling of “built quickly with cheaper materials” about the place and it’s too bad.

Nice place! Saw The Secret Life of Pets 2 here in 3D yesterday. Theater room was a little small to average (I guess I expected bigger since the first AMC I went to...this was the second...was HUGE), screen size was bigger than usual though not huge, but fit to the room. Quality was great! Only things that were annoying were the people in the lobby area (it was busy and a lot of the people seemed to be coughing and sneezing) and the fact that seating is reserved.

I was very disappointed in this theater. My friends and I spent about $150 to watch Endgame with no air conditioner. The movie was great and the recliner was appealing but at the end of the day, spending that much money to sweat in the muggy theater isn’t really worth it. If I had to choose, air conditioning wins over recliners every time. I wish the theater would have post something ahead of time about the air conditioner problem and give people the choice of a refund. If it weren’t for my friend’s celebration, I would have left.

I worked here for 3 years, and still come here for every movie. The redesigned Theaters with reclining seats are Heavenly especially with my bad back I can finally sit pain free through a whole movie. The food is expensive like any other theater, but really easy parking and a great location if you live nearby. I never feel like I'm leaving my backyard, whereas going to the Regal, the other theater in Rockville, really feels like you are going out into the city. There is something so quaint and comforting about the Rio that I just absolutely love even slipping out on a Tuesday night and going by myself in slippers it's just so easy

The new theatres are awesome. The seats are very comfortable and I love the recliners. The dine-in service isn't the best though. They took my order and brought after an hour. Almost at the end of the movie. The drinks are super expensive too.

I don't go to movies too often, so I was surprised by the look of the movie theater. This is a dine-in movie theater, so you can order food and the server will bring it TO YOUR SEAT. How convenient is that? I also like that you can order wine and bring it to your seat as well. The seats were so comfortable that I was afraid that I'll fall asleep in them, but the movie was amazing (Bohemian Rhapsody), so I did not even have a chance to close my eyes. There is a small table in front of you, so you can put your glass of wine down and enjoy the movie. It was an amazing experience. I gave 4 stars because there is some construction going on and the movie theater has two entrance and it was not really clear where we should go. I'm sure that once the construction ends, this will be resolved.

There is also plenty of room in between the rows of seats allowing easy movement when others are seated. You can order tickets online, reserving specific seats for your chosen date and time. There is actually a bar in the front of the theater to enjoy your favorite libation. Concessions are available with numerous options and refills. With other dining and shopping locations very close nearby, this area can really serve as an full-day entertainment option for the family.

The new seating system in the new Rio theater is a mess at the moment. I have confidence that they'll be able to sort the issues out since they've only recently renovated. However, the new seats are very comfortable and recline. The servers that walked into my movie did block the screen a bit but should get better as they get more accustomed to the new theater's.

Theater number 4 was too hot, the seats do not recline far enough, and the isles are too narrow. The Theater was more comfortable before they redecorated it. We paid more for food than we paid for the movie.

In one instance the employees were making fun of a customer in front of other costumers waiting for assistance. Then if that wasn’t enough as me and my family were heading down the ramp of theater 13 upstairs we were greeted by a mouse. We headed downstairs to explain this to a employee, and the employee instead of doing anything stood there and laughed and said there is nothing they can do because they didn’t have a radio...

My experience during my visit was very unpleasant. The food and drink i ordered tasted awful. I returned it to the concession stand hoping to get something else. The staff members were unprofessional and unsympathetic. I was so disappointed that I asked for a full refund for my food and movie ticket. The most satisfying part of my visit was feeding the geese outside of the establishment.

Phenomenal update to the Rio theaters!! Everything was flawless EXCEPT the lack of concessions on the upper level. Wound up super rushed to get up to the theater after getting food and drinks downstairs. Will absolutely change to a 5 when the indoor escalators are finished

Decent cinema with good seats but relatively small screens in the regular theatres. We redeemed yellow AMC tickets from Costco and were not charged any extra fees to see John Wick 3, which was nice. Plenty of parking in the garage next door.

So disappointing. We were very much looking forward to another high end movie theatre in our area, but the wait continues. The employees are great, the screens are nice and the audio is wonderful—but the springs in the seats are already breaking down and the bathrooms are already gross. Saddest of all was the IMAX theatre. Screen was pretty normal-looking and the seating was non-adjusting and downright claustrophobic. When we saw our third (and last) movie there last week, we had to go ask a staff member to turn on the air in the theatre. Don’t even bother with the bar—AMC doesn’t yet understand fresh ingredients (this is true for all their bars). While the bartenders are lovely, bar offerings are sophomoric and pre-fab tasting and syrupy at best. Go upstairs to Dave and Busters for pre-movie drinks instead. We’re regulars at the nearby iPic, the Arclight in Bethesda and the AMC in Georgetown. All three of those are STILL better bets. There’s just a feeling of “built quickly with cheaper materials” about the place and it’s too bad.

Nice place! Saw The Secret Life of Pets 2 here in 3D yesterday. Theater room was a little small to average (I guess I expected bigger since the first AMC I went to...this was the second...was HUGE), screen size was bigger than usual though not huge, but fit to the room. Quality was great! Only things that were annoying were the people in the lobby area (it was busy and a lot of the people seemed to be coughing and sneezing) and the fact that seating is reserved.

I was very disappointed in this theater. My friends and I spent about $150 to watch Endgame with no air conditioner. The movie was great and the recliner was appealing but at the end of the day, spending that much money to sweat in the muggy theater isn’t really worth it. If I had to choose, air conditioning wins over recliners every time. I wish the theater would have post something ahead of time about the air conditioner problem and give people the choice of a refund. If it weren’t for my friend’s celebration, I would have left.
