Much improved by over my last visit. Reserved seating is a huge plus. Food prices are ridiculous, but nothing out of the ordinary. Theater was surprisingly clean and looked well kept. Nice to have a theater close to home.

We hadn't been to this AMC in a while, as we used to live near it, but had moved closer to AMC White Marsh. We thought they would have the nice reclining seats like White Marsh, but they didn't, which was a bummer. We stood waiting for a minute while one girl was sitting down doing something on her phone, one guy was working on doing something with his back turned to the counter and then a guy walked out from somewhere on the side and helped us. He was informative and helpful. The experience was meh. I love AMC and I'm a member, so I hope they improve on their environment and service. Even though it's through a toll and twice as far, I will be going to AMC White Marsh.

Only two sizes of popcorn now - and you won't find a healthy snack in the large selection but there's not a better place to see an awesome movie like "Once Upon a Time ....in Hollywood". Two thumbs up!

This movie theatre is attached to the Columbia mall parking lot and the inside is very up to date in some places and kinda old in others. This theatre is a great place to see premium movie formats such as Dolby or imax. The concessions are huge and alot to chose from..l would suggest getting the AMC club membership and buying tickets online because the ticket counters are sparse.

One of the best theatres we've been to in a long time. Prices for food is doubled what you'd expect though. Paid over $42.00 for popcorn a single soda and 3 PC's of candy. Outrageous! I'll be a little more conservative with my next trip. Wow! The theater was awesome! Clean restrooms and clean theater. Comfortable seating and thank God there's not reserved seating arrangements here like some of the newer theaters.

I would recommend this theater. The only reason I did not give this location a 5 star rating is that the seats don't recline. The lobby was clean. The food selection was good. The bathrooms were clean. Overall great experience.

Good movie theater nostalgic with the ticket check-in being outside which sometimes can be inconvenient if it's raining snowing thunderstorm just bad weather in general. However the Dolby Movie experience was worth the money. If you do go to this movie theater definitely hit up Shake Shack before or after your movie experience you will not regret it

AMC Columbia is a nice theater but you got to check the times and what type of that you end up paying more for a movie cause it's a Dolby theater where they just shake your chair and turn the volume up for 10 more dollars.

Theatre is in great area, however its not clean. The seats are old and it needs rehabilitation. Once renovated and modernized, I will be returning. Don't waste your time or money.

Really nice theatre. Went to an 3 pm show. Was a little crowded but lines moved fast. Watched an movie in Imax theater . Seats where ok had enough leg room. Concessions was good the ran out of flatbread chicken sandwich. Will be going back to check out the other theaters. Will update review after.

This is the closest AMC to me, so by default I have to go here. The ticket people are nice, super friendly and get work done easily. The popcorn people not so much, the inside of the theaters are always clean.

Came here to see detective pikachu in the Dolby cinema theater. The sound quality and picture quality was absolutely amazing. The picture was like comparing standard definition to HD in your home it was absolutely amazing for a theater. Only 2 of the check in kiosks outside were working though and their is only one kiosk that has a qr reader and the qr reader didn't work on that. Had no problem entering the conformation number though. The concessions area was very nice and they were selling toys and other things from movie franchises which was nice. They also have a small arcade with a few games and a few claw machines. Overall a really great and fun experience. I will definitely be back to see another dolby movie. Only thing I will say is tickets for Dolby are $15 so you are better off just buying the amc a list since if you see 2 or more movies it's less than the cost of two tickets.

Amc Columbia is a Great movie theater. The lines usually are not too bad and the reserved seating selection is nice. The food is typical, your popcorn and nachos cost more than the movie. The projector and sound quality are very good and immersive. The theater is located on the far left side of the mall entrance. Parking out front is limited but there is a garage close by.

Parking can be a hassle with the mall, but this is a very nice theater. Clean, friendly staff, and the concessions are high quality for a theater chain. The Dolby theater is pretty incredible and the IMAX is one of the better ones in the area.

We love this theater! In fact, we drive past other theaters just to go here. If you have a tendency to not like large crowds of people, or don't want to go through a lot of stops to see a flick, I highly recommend!

Don't bother paying for the Dolby experience - the chairs are awful. I can't imagine how much they spent on these reclining abominations, but I suspect that the reason they are so uncomfortable is because they attempted to squeeze an additional row into the theaters to make more money. As a result, the chairs are too short, do not recline enough, and left my back and my children's back hurting. This is not a problem relegated to those of us who are 6' tall, mind you. My children, who are in the 5’2" to 5'8” range had the same issues as I had. AMC, you really screwed up. Next time get a clue and design the chairs for comfort, and not to maximize space. The result is just AWFUL! The Dolby screen and sound was nice though. So if you can handle a pain in the back, the theater is nice. One last thing - the popcorn was pre-filled in the bucket we purchased and it was STALE! I don't know what they are trying to do here. Optimize the "experience", maybe? Unfortunately, they have gone in the wrong direction. Won't be visiting this theater again.

The people here are super nice, it’s always been super clean, and people have always gotten in quickly. The only drawback is the deep lack of recliner seated theaters. The seats are just not comfortable and I would appreciate being able to use recliners with my a list.

AMC could do better and I believe they are working on it. I’m a recent subscriber to A-List and it’s such an awesome service for what you pay for, I’m really happy with it. The only problem I have is with the quality of the theater itself. Let’s start outside and work our way in: I went on.l a Tuesday night and I noticed immediately the lobby area is a little dirty and is starting to look dated. However, the staff were sweet to us (this could always change depending on who’s on staff! Lots of young staff here.). The little arcade looks like it’s from the early 2010s. I did expect more from an area like Columbia. Especially from the surrounding venues that look aesthetically pleasing and very new. The hallways and such are also looking dated as well. The carpet was a little dingy and smelly. The inside of the theater was a “digital” theater and the screen was just fine, maybe a little dark. The sound was not great at all. The speakers sound like they have been working night and day at volume 11 so whenever there’s a little bass, they sound muffled. I’m the type of person that notices that so most people may not care. I just expect theaters to be high quality cause that’s what I came for, right? :) All in all, it’s time for new seating, sound systems and even Dolby digital in ALL of the auditoriums.

Very convenient since it is located at the mall, though this means competing with traffic.(especially during the holidays) more expensive than most theaters, the bathrooms can be a wreak, and if your thinking about seeing a more dramatic movie or are a horror fan who just wants to enjoy it do NOT come to this location. Rude loud kids talk through this and are more obnoxious than at other theaters, sometimes even talking or yelling at a very crucial part when people come to get fully immersed in the material, if your looking for immersion go to Snowden or Hoyt’s.

Went for an IMAX movie, so rating for that theater alone. Great picture, good seats which are reservable. The movie theater is not connected to the mall directly but in the same area, so easy to park and a ton of great spots to get food or shop after.

I used a couple AMC gift cards to pay for my movie ticket and when i had finished my purchase i had remembered i could use my AMC Stubbs for a discount. So i asked the lady who i had just got my ticket from if i could get a refund and she did not even try to get me any type of refund or reimbursement and said that she wasn't sure that you could refund gift cards. She said ShE didnt FeEl lIkE having to scratch off the whole purchase and go through the refund process. And then said "It was only $30". I would never pay $30 for 3 people to go to a movie. That Lady Robbed Me of My Money leaving me to have payed 11 more dollars than i could have with out ANY type of refund. The service at this AMC is terrible! And i blame that lady. (Her name was Aliya i saw her name tag)!

Theatre was pretty clean. There was a loud group of teens that sat behind me. The movies looked and sounded crisp. I got pizza and cinnamon pretzel sticks. The pizza tasted freshly made and pretty good. It looks more like thin cheesy bread sliced into triangles. The pretzels are pretty ordinary. They aren't soft and buttery like the fresh ones from auntie ann's.

I went to this theater for the first time and I was somewhat dissatisfied considering this was an AMC theater. Most of the fountain machines did not work and the ones that did work some of the favors were flat. Also the theater I went to wasn't too clean. I probably will not come to this theater again.

The popcorn when that good the soda machine is awful because it's mixed with different sodas so you don't really get the flavor that you're asking for the Coke taste like Cherry Coke and Sprite

Easy parking, good theater

AMC could do better and I believe they are working on it. I’m a recent subscriber to A-List and it’s such an awesome service for what you pay for, I’m really happy with it. The only problem I have is with the quality of the theater itself. Let’s start outside and work our way in: I went on.l a Tuesday night and I noticed immediately the lobby area is a little dirty and is starting to look dated. However, the staff were sweet to us (this could always change depending on who’s on staff! Lots of young staff here.). The little arcade looks like it’s from the early 2010s. I did expect more from an area like Columbia. Especially from the surrounding venues that look aesthetically pleasing and very new. The hallways and such are also looking dated as well. The carpet was a little dingy and smelly. The inside of the theater was a “digital” theater and the screen was just fine, maybe a little dark. The sound was not great at all. The speakers sound like they have been working night and day at volume 11 so whenever there’s a little bass, they sound muffled. I’m the type of person that notices that so most people may not care. I just expect theaters to be high quality cause that’s what I came for, right? :) All in all, it’s time for new seating, sound systems and even Dolby digital in ALL of the auditoriums.

The customer service was great! The concession area and the theatre itself was very clean but the theatre seats were nasty, filthy, and disgusting to sit on. I almost left out to get my money back. I found a decent seat towards the front. AMC definitely needs to replace and upgrade their seats. I dreaded putting my arms on the armrest! Smh.....disgusting! This was theatre 8 by the way!

I saw The Art of Self Defense, a fun yet dark comedy. Although, I'm not sure why I had to pick a seat in a theatre where the seats don't recline with leg rests. What's the deal with that?

Very convenient since it is located at the mall, though this means competing with traffic.(especially during the holidays) more expensive than most theaters, the bathrooms can be a wreak, and if your thinking about seeing a more dramatic movie or are a horror fan who just wants to enjoy it do NOT come to this location. Rude loud kids talk through this and are more obnoxious than at other theaters, sometimes even talking or yelling at a very crucial part when people come to get fully immersed in the material, if your looking for immersion go to Snowden or Hoyt’s.

Went for an IMAX movie, so rating for that theater alone. Great picture, good seats which are reservable. The movie theater is not connected to the mall directly but in the same area, so easy to park and a ton of great spots to get food or shop after.

I used a couple AMC gift cards to pay for my movie ticket and when i had finished my purchase i had remembered i could use my AMC Stubbs for a discount. So i asked the lady who i had just got my ticket from if i could get a refund and she did not even try to get me any type of refund or reimbursement and said that she wasn't sure that you could refund gift cards. She said ShE didnt FeEl lIkE having to scratch off the whole purchase and go through the refund process. And then said "It was only $30". I would never pay $30 for 3 people to go to a movie. That Lady Robbed Me of My Money leaving me to have payed 11 more dollars than i could have with out ANY type of refund. The service at this AMC is terrible! And i blame that lady. (Her name was Aliya i saw her name tag)!

I went to this theater for the first time and I was somewhat dissatisfied considering this was an AMC theater. Most of the fountain machines did not work and the ones that did work some of the favors were flat. Also the theater I went to wasn't too clean. I probably will not come to this theater again.

The theater is good but the bankruptcy if both Champs Sports Bar and Uno Pizza make the movie experience a week one. The only system was always, for years, user the parking garage, get a ticket from the machine (no fee unlike internet), watch half the game, eat a burger and have a beer at Champs and heat to the 9 or 10 pm showing just as the theater opens. It worked well. Now it's Shake Shack, a crowded bunch of noise and teens without the advantages of a sports bar. I'm doubling the drive now to Egyptian 24 where there's Chili's (or is it Chevy?), Dave and Buster's and BDubs all that same 150 ft walk. There's a lot to be said for this. AMC needs a couple of good restaurants next door, and the wait at Cheesecake Factory, a freaking hour, doesn't cut it.

Visited this theatre for an IMAX viewing of "Apocalypse Now." Which was a Fathom events movie screening (one of those 'limited 40yr anniversary screening' ) as Coppola intended (largest screen possible). First impression walking in was how nice the front area looked, including the snack bar area and restroom. The theatre that I was seated in, however, was filthy. It was (unfortunately) how I used to remember going to movies, with the fear of letting anything in my possession touching the floor. Footsteps squeaked and ripped as they were prying themselves away from the candy coating floor, as well as under my assigned seat a meal of at least two peoples' empty boxes and food. The chairs were dated and uncomfortable, (as any other theater that I've experienced in the last couple years has had the upgraded chairs, more actual room for people to set, so that you don't have to shove the person's foot off your arm rest while they are sitting behind you). Not that I could justify it, but the average "item and a drink (i.e. popcorn, candy) was pushing the $20 mark, though you could see the staff was more interested in playing around, as I was able to watch the line stay static and non moving for at least the five minutes I observed. Picture quality was good, as we were in the IMAX theater. that being said, considering that's considered the largest screen in this theater, I would have expected a little more cleanliness or any active action towards maintaining their establishment. (Mind you, anyone watching the movie knew that they were committing themselves to a 202 minute long movie, however sitting on the floor would have been just as efficient as the seats, as I still couldn't tell what had more gum. I guess it if you live in Columbia, this is probably your only option for a movie theater so it is still an okay place to watch movies. that being said, I would wait until they do their update and remodel like the rest of the theaters before I would venture back.

My wife and I went on a Friday night and we had to lap the parking lot three times to find a parking spot. The popcorn was already poured into the bag and didn't taste fresh even though it was packed and the butter station was disgusting. I had to pour all the butter on top instead of layering it. The cinema was clean and we enjoyed the movie. I'd rather find another theatre next time.

Went to see a movie late night so parking was not an issue. Customer service was fast and friendly. Ticket purchase was easy. There was no lines at the concession stand. The only issue I had was that the seats in Theater 8 was absolutely disgusting. The majority of the seats are stained along with the armrest. Definitely needs some TLC or replacement. Other than that my experience was a good one. If you see a movie and it's in theater 8 select your seat wisely...

I can’t say that my experience was bad because it wasn’t. However, the theater was very small, hot, and extremely noisy. There were people who talked the entire movie and when I went and asked someone about it they did nothing at all about the continuous chatter. I don’t know about others but we spend a lot of money on movies and you expect to have a pleasant experience and not listen to people talk the entire movie and you miss some of the movie because you can’t hear over the talking and laughing.

I'm not sure if this theater was renovated but the theater aisles are small and the seats don't recline like other AMCs. The concession staff was pleasant but there was one person preparing the food, so I was actually late for my movie (I ordered a hot dog). Overall it's a nice theater but it could use a few improvements.

Showtimes are earlier than in other theaters around the area and we don’t have to wait until very late at night to watch a good movie. Great movies, great location with plenty of restaurants next to it! They can do a better job cleaning the movie rooms. Some of the tickets’ staff needs to smile more and say hello, but we don’t go there for them, so we focus on the movie. They have different choices IMAX, DOLBY AND MORE! We go to many theaters and the good and the bad are the same everywhere around the theaters, so my family chooses to stay near home/local unless the showtime is an inconvenient due to our schedule.

Checked out Far Away from Home, the Spider-Man in one of the B-side theaters. Young couples logging across to and three chairs, and little kids in Spidey suits crashing from sugar rushes, wanting to go home during the lulls in the action. One and a half stars...But a 5-star night hanging out with my boy!

This place has to be the worst movie theater I have ever been to. It’s so dirty. It’s like they never cleaned the bathroom. There is a cracked mirror, tissue everywhere, and the seats aren’t cleaned. I nearly threw up at the smell. The pop corn was stale. This really left a bad taste in my mouth. I paid for imax and I could kick myself.

Always enjoy seeing movies at this location. Seating is very nice and the service is as well. However, AMC locations do not have the online snack ordering option. Many locations in Arizona, California, New Jersey and many others provide this service. Both my wife and I have disabilities and standing in the snack line is very difficult. If the online snack ordering and pick up was available I would give AMC 5 stars.

The movie was great! Although the service at the resection stand suck, my wife and i stood at the counter and placed an order while the girl stood behind the counter just looking at us....after we asked for a regular popcorn and soda she asked someone who just came out the theater could she help them and proceeded to take their order... after that my wife and i just walked away. One would think that with all the money Columbia is spending to make downtown look nice, that they would at least make the movie theater at the mall visually appealing and up to date compared to other competitors. This AMC theater looks like it's still stuck in the 1990's. They don't even have recliners here. Not impressed with the service too.

If you want the best update theatre. Choose DOLBY as it is upgraded with the best speakers, best screen and reclining seats. The other screrns inside are still playing catchup. This DOLBY is one of the screens inside and when u buy, try to get this theatre.

Good theater experience. Automatic touch screen for ticket ordering did not work well, gave up and stood in line. Theater #5 was tucked away in the back. Seats where not the nice new recliner chairs.

I'm not sure if this theater was renovated but the theater aisles are small and the seats don't recline like other AMCs. The concession staff was pleasant but there was one person preparing the food, so I was actually late for my movie (I ordered a hot dog). Overall it's a nice theater but it could use a few improvements.

Showtimes are earlier than in other theaters around the area and we don’t have to wait until very late at night to watch a good movie. Great movies, great location with plenty of restaurants next to it! They can do a better job cleaning the movie rooms. Some of the tickets’ staff needs to smile more and say hello, but we don’t go there for them, so we focus on the movie. They have different choices IMAX, DOLBY AND MORE! We go to many theaters and the good and the bad are the same everywhere around the theaters, so my family chooses to stay near home/local unless the showtime is an inconvenient due to our schedule.

The movie was great.I ordered the buffalo flat bread it tasted like salty paper. It was tastless. I had to wait in line for over 20 minutes.

I had a wonderful experience. Especially at the front! There was a young woman with red hair who took us very quickly and was so friendly! We were greeted with nothing but smiles. The employees behind the food stand also moved very quickly to fill our order. Definitely coming back!

Checked out Far Away from Home, the Spider-Man in one of the B-side theaters. Young couples logging across to and three chairs, and little kids in Spidey suits crashing from sugar rushes, wanting to go home during the lulls in the action. One and a half stars...But a 5-star night hanging out with my boy!

Its unfortunate that you pay the same price as other movies and the ones at this location doesn't have upgraded seats. Like wth is that....wont be coming back here to watch a movie. You can barely understand the reserved seating numbers

Easy to get tickets last minute. The cashiers are always very friendly and don't mind if you take a moment to decide what you want. The popcorn is always perfect. I'd definitely recommend this theatre.

Always enjoy seeing movies at this location. Seating is very nice and the service is as well. However, AMC locations do not have the online snack ordering option. Many locations in Arizona, California, New Jersey and many others provide this service. Both my wife and I have disabilities and standing in the snack line is very difficult. If the online snack ordering and pick up was available I would give AMC 5 stars.

The movie was great! Although the service at the resection stand suck, my wife and i stood at the counter and placed an order while the girl stood behind the counter just looking at us....after we asked for a regular popcorn and soda she asked someone who just came out the theater could she help them and proceeded to take their order... after that my wife and i just walked away. I refuse to spend my money where people act as if they don't appreciate my business. I wanted to get my money back for our tickets but, my wife really wanted to see the movie... so we watched a great movie hungry and

Staff was polite but the theatre was a mess. We had assigned seats but they were full of trash! Left over cups in drink holder, wrappers in seats and on floor! You would think if you are paying almost $12 a seat they could have it cleaned if the people before you left a mess! Very disappointed!

Clean theater that offers at least a healthier snack option. Has 2D IMAX which is best for my kids and lots of other viewing options. Being close to great restaurants like Urban Plates is a huge bonus.

Women's restroom at 6pm on a Friday. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. Every single stall was filthy. 3 people spend $70 on concessions and a movie and have to suffer that.

If you want the best update theatre. Choose DOLBY as it is upgraded with the best speakers, best screen and reclining seats. The other screrns inside are still playing catchup. This DOLBY is one of the screens inside and when u buy, try to get this theatre.
