I would like these children AMC hires to work here kmow that customer service is extremely important. Popcorn were fresh. Slurpee machine area was clean. Decent bathroom could use some smell good airfreshener.

My friend and I went to see a movie. It was a pretty late movie, and understand that they wouldn’t be selling anything at the time we went. However, the same employee walked passed us several times and didn’t bother asking what we needed help with. He just told us they were closed. That’s fine, but all we wanted was water. There was another customer in front of us in the line. We went back to our seats but the other customer stayed. 5 minutes later we see that same customer walking to his seat eating out of a bag or something. For future reference all employees should know to ask customers if they need help. Also, I know how annoying some customers can be. But if you don’t want something to repeat again. Stick to your word. You’re closed, you’re closed.

The new menu looks amazing. All the classics plus a lot of surprise options. Yet I'd prefer it if every visit the concession area didn't have so much clutter in the prep area. And the bathrooms could smell fresher and be cleaner. Overall though this is still my favorite movie theatre .

I love assigned seating. If you purchase tickets through Fandango, you can skip the lines and no need to worry about where you will sit. Concessions could be better. No coffee, espresso, or energy drinks. No alcoholic beverages either. However, the theater is comfortable and the experience makes you feel like you`re at home in your recliner.

Good theaters. Love the reclining seats. These actually go all the way back and leg rest lifts up to become parallel to the floor unlike some locations. They do not have food service in the theater. But overall pretty good and well maintained and clean.

I find it ridiculous and blantenly disrespectful toward your customers when you have only 1 or 2 cashiers behind the counter and they only take premier customers. Especially when everyone paid the same price for their tickets. Everyone is trying to buy overpriced snacks before going to see their movie. Who came up with this policy or lame practice? It’s just insane!

Bought tickets for the early showing for Aquaman. My kids & I were hyped to see this movie. Movie was supposed to start @7 so I was getting a bit anxious when it had not started at 7:15. An announcement was made @7:30 that the movie was cancelled because of technical difficulties. This after I made a couple trips back to the concession stand. I expect much more from AMC. I gave them 3 stars because we were each given 2 passes to see a movie at another time and refunded money for concessions. Didn't see Aquaman but at least refunded money for their expensive concessions & given 2 movie passes.

This theater has gone from a rough building to a clean and comfortable theater with the renovation they did some years back. The chairs are soft and recline, and people tend to pick up after themselves much more than they used to. Never had an issue with the staff. Its a small theater, but it always tends to have what you need to enjoy yourself!

The theatre room is smaller than average with fewer seats but the screen size is still typical. As a result, you actually end up getting a closer, more intimate movie experience. They have reclining seats, and the bathrooms and theatre aisles are clean. The only con of the theatre is that they lack an arcade and are out in the middle of nowhere. There is a strip mall with a Baskin Robbins and a few other things. Basically, don't go to the theatre too early because there's not going to be much to do in the meantime.

This was my favorite theater till today. Got free passes due to theater not having AC about a month ago but you can’t reserve seats online with the passes. So spoke to a manager that said if I reserved seats online with my own money they can refund to use the passes once I got to the theater. The young lady trying to help us made a mistake and our reserved seat became open for others to purchase and left with no seats. She apologized and was trying to be helpful looking for other seats. I was upset because it was 8 seats and asked for a manager. Ended up being the same one I spoke to earlier and a complete jerk. Response was “oh well, I can’t do anything.” AMC should hire better people than Dominic to be managers. Someone that will take there jobs seriously and find ways to solve issues. He should’ve told the people that bought our seats that they had made a mistake and tried accommodating them else where. The whole purpose of me using my own money was to reserve the seats. But instead he was extremely disrespectful and not helpful at all.

It's a nice movie theater. I prefer it over Regal and other movie theaters mainly because of the recliner seats and the relative faster service. But I reccomend this place to people who like to reserve seats and especially people who like memberships because the rewards for AMC are amazing if you invest into the membership.

Very hard to find, especially at night. GPS said turn right but the location was on the left. Was glad that there was a sign (though the sign was not lit), else I would have missed it when I turned around and came back. Parking spots are kinda small and only a few spots are close to the building. The others require a little treck and a traverse up a flight of stairs. Didn't realize that our movie was a cartoon so we asked for and secured a refund but though most of the cost of our tickets was purchased with a debit card, the total refund was made to a AMC gift card and not back to original modes of payment. Not cool.

AMC Powder Mill is closer than traveling down to Downtown Silver Spring Regal Theater and the prices is much fair and affordable. Parking is free, you can't beat that in this city. Yes, reclining seat, not a big a Regal, but very comfortable. The cleanness is fair, but I can't say its the theater fault. It's the people who goes to the theater, the adults who let their children drop food; pop corn, drinks on the floor, candy wrap on the floor. It's not all the children who nasty, it's the adults as well. We should care about our community and keep it neat and clean, bathrooms and all. Clean-up after yourself, it something we should have leaned to do in own home.

Very nice theater with reclining seats. The staff was very friendly. One complaint. My friend and I noticed others were bringing blankets. Apparently they are regular visitors. We were in theater number 8 and it was ridiculously cold. It was extremely uncomfortable and they need to adjust that. Otherwise very nice theater

The theater itself is very nice. However, 30min wait for hor food was a bit much. It being a Saturday with a big box office movie debut, the kitchen should be faster. Also in front of my seat was very dirty with soneone else's food on the floor from a previous movie. Disgusting! Thank God I didn't step in it.

I went to a Tuesday afternoon show. I hadn’t been to this theater since they upgraded to recliner style seating. Plenty of seats available when we made our selection, as you must do now with the standard reserved seating. UNFORTUNATELY the seats didn’t work. We were in theater #5, row F seats 7,8,&9. Seat 7 worked, 8&9 would not recline and the leg section would not raise. We tried seats 10&11, they also were not working. The row behind was the handicap row with spaces for wheelchairs and 3 pairs of seats for companions. In The last row of seats the chairs that matched the location we had purchased, 2 out of 3 ALSO DIDN’t WORK. A couple who sat directly in front of us had working seats. SO, I will NOT be returning to this theater. If you are particular about where you sit and expect the seat to work, make sure you arrive early to test your chosen seats. You may need to change to your 2nd or 3rd choice, or get a refund. I’m not that patient.

Nice smaller theater. Love that you can book seats online. Overall it's a clean theater that usually has the movies you want to see. My only complaint is the concession stand. The customer service experience is not very consistent. I've had very friendly people helping me and some that seem annoyed that I'm even there. My last trip was the worst. They lady helping us was very rude and seemed super annoyed by us. All we wanted was a tub of popcorn and two drinks that we filled ourselves. So I'm not sure what her deal was but it definitely made me think of going elsewhere if it happens again. Outside of that I recommend this theater if you live in the area.

I remember when this place used to be a local rinky dink theater. AMC did a great job in renovating this place. This is now my favorite go to local theater. Not too crowded (unless a major motion picture playing). Concessions have upgraded significantly in a positive way. I will check this theater location first for a movie of interest.

It's a nice movie theater. I prefer it over Regal and other movie theaters mainly because of the recliner seats and the relative faster service. But I reccomend this place to people who like to reserve seats and especially people who like memberships because the rewards for AMC are amazing if you invest into the membership.

Very hard to find, especially at night. GPS said turn right but the location was on the left. Was glad that there was a sign (though the sign was not lit), else I would have missed it when I turned around and came back. Parking spots are kinda small and only a few spots are close to the building. The others require a little treck and a traverse up a flight of stairs. Didn't realize that our movie was a cartoon so we asked for and secured a refund but though most of the cost of our tickets was purchased with a debit card, the total refund was made to a AMC gift card and not back to original modes of payment. Not cool.

AMC Powder Mill is closer than traveling down to Downtown Silver Spring Regal Theater and the prices is much fair and affordable. Parking is free, you can't beat that in this city. Yes, reclining seat, not a big a Regal, but very comfortable. The cleanness is fair, but I can't say its the theater fault. It's the people who goes to the theater, the adults who let their children drop food; pop corn, drinks on the floor, candy wrap on the floor. It's not all the children who nasty, it's the adults as well. We should care about our community and keep it neat and clean, bathrooms and all. Clean-up after yourself, it something we should have leaned to do in own home.

The theater itself is very nice. However, 30min wait for hor food was a bit much. It being a Saturday with a big box office movie debut, the kitchen should be faster. Also in front of my seat was very dirty with soneone else's food on the floor from a previous movie. Disgusting! Thank God I didn't step in it.

I went to a Tuesday afternoon show. I hadn’t been to this theater since they upgraded to recliner style seating. Plenty of seats available when we made our selection, as you must do now with the standard reserved seating. UNFORTUNATELY the seats didn’t work. We were in theater #5, row F seats 7,8,&9. Seat 7 worked, 8&9 would not recline and the leg section would not raise. We tried seats 10&11, they also were not working. The row behind was the handicap row with spaces for wheelchairs and 3 pairs of seats for companions. In The last row of seats the chairs that matched the location we had purchased, 2 out of 3 ALSO DIDN’t WORK. A couple who sat directly in front of us had working seats. SO, I will NOT be returning to this theater. If you are particular about where you sit and expect the seat to work, make sure you arrive early to test your chosen seats. You may need to change to your 2nd or 3rd choice, or get a refund. I’m not that patient.

Nice smaller theater. Love that you can book seats online. Overall it's a clean theater that usually has the movies you want to see. My only complaint is the concession stand. The customer service experience is not very consistent. I've had very friendly people helping me and some that seem annoyed that I'm even there. My last trip was the worst. They lady helping us was very rude and seemed super annoyed by us. All we wanted was a tub of popcorn and two drinks that we filled ourselves. So I'm not sure what her deal was but it definitely made me think of going elsewhere if it happens again. Outside of that I recommend this theater if you live in the area.

Modern movie theater with assigned reclining seats that are super comfortable. Staff is friendly. Two dings: 1) They couldn't accept our AMC gift cards and 2) the host double ticketed our seats! Yup, despite a high tech seat reservation system, our seats were also assigned to another couple. That's really unacceptable and created a lot of musical chairs shuffling.

3/29/19- 6:00pm showing. The movie was great. That was about it. There was confusion with the ticket-taker as they did not have a scanner to scan my phone as I purchased the tickets through Fandango. The cashier and preparer, refused to prepare the gourmet popcorn as I asked. There are three types of gourmet popcorn. You get your choice of two. I chose the caramel and the spicy popcorn. However I asked for slightly more camera than spicy. She said she would try. I did not understand this reply as it seemed like an easy thing to do. But when she handed me the container of popcorn it was not full. I questioned her. And she said that is the best she could do because of inventory. I said you have to fill it up or you can cancel the order. With an attitude, she filled the container up. Not overflowing, just up to the top. My wife and I look at each other in the amazement and walked away. The drink machines were not dispensing ice and many of the drinks were out of order or out of product. This used to be one of the nicer theaters in the area, even though it is old, it always had great service and was always clean. The bathroom was dirty. I can't imagine going back here again.

There was 1 to no people getting tickets, a line full of people (12 to15 couples) at the concession stand, 2 employees working concessions, 1 employee working the ticket stands and your manager sitting behind the ticket stand watching her tablet. People waited 30 min or more for concessions and this is unacceptable. Customers service is very poor. Management, do better. NOTE: Some of your customers waiting at concessions waited so long they had to get tickets to the next movie. After reading reviews seems your #1 complaint is Customer Service and Concessions.

I like the layout of this theater. It's not too crowded and parking is always manageable. There is a line to buy tickets and a separate line to scan tickets online. Most AMCs in Maryland have that at this point but in my travels like in Orlando or Wisconsin there is one line to buy and scan tickets which is super inefficient. I like that the Soda machines are right outside the theaters to fill or refill. Just saw Angel Has Fallen though and heard the movie next door at the end not sure what that was about.
