Excellent venue, comfortable and well managed
Cool room. Good shows.
had a blast~! will be back for another show
Beautifully restored. This place just keeps getting better and better. Dreamy air conditioning! And the talent is top shelf. Mike Dawes from the UK warm up for Tommy Emmanuel.
Gorgeous 100 year old arthouse cinema playing movies and music concerts!
I was at a concert there tonight. What a beautiful job has been done with restoration of the beautiful theater. I will definitely be watching their playbill for more events!
Great venue great shows plenty of near by restaurants comfortable theater
I have gone to more concerts then anyone I know and this worked out perfect for me. Place was clean,no pressure , no invasive touching your body or waving wans around your head till you get dizzy.staff was very respectful and polite..no fights everyone in the place was cell phone respectful meaning no flashes and no one on top of you saying stop taking pictures or videos..take a few pics and a video or 2 clip and call it a day and enjoy the show that way everyone's happy...get flash crazy and phone in the air hog and it runs it for everyone. Show was Jefferson starship..nice place , not over crowded holds a max of 850 people. Bartenders nice ,easy in easy out. Atmosphere Outstanding.....over all this place beats out most just because the roomy layout. I will go back more often and support it. It's a 100 year old building. Everything was great.
Great venue for entertainment. Every seat is good. Restaurants in the area are fabulous. Have e a glass of wine or beer and enjoy the show!
Loved so much...Jayhawks were fabulous..The solo was especially moving..They also harmonize so well....This beautiful building is so uplifting..ty Cabot..
Just saw The Allman Betts Band! Incredible how the son's have pulled together a second generation of the band with the same distinguishable sound of the Allman Brothers band underscoring their own compositions. Cabot's new seats are comfy but still a bit tight. New runners, balcony pub seating and footlights! Renovations continue but looking snazzy!
Amazing show. This band rules. Cabot... I don't k ow anything other than any place that hosts this band has to rule too. 5 Stars. Period.
Looks amazing after the restoration!
It was awesome it's an old theater from the 1920s it's been around 99 years now it was my first time in there tonight they were showing a movie I do know that they do concerts and stuff like that there sound was great in the theater so yeah I like this
Love this theater and staff. Nothing like it in the country
It's a cool old theater that has undergone some restoration, but still needs work. We had a great view at the show we went to and I think anyone would have a good view based on size. It has traditional movie theater concessions along with a few bars.
A beautiful old theater it has been completely refurbished.
Love this theater. No bad seats. Small and intimate. GREAT VENUE.
Love this venue. It's a real treat to see anything here. The prices are really good! They have been restoring this theater and it looks fantastic! If you have never been here, you need to go! The staff is friendly. For the last four years they have shown Jaws (1975) and have gotten the food truck Joe's on a Roll, it's just a fun event that I really enjoy.

Cabot Theater is a great place and deserves your support.
Beautifully restored great events
Beautiful, small, intimate, comfortable. Serves alcohol. Friendly staff. Could use more rest rooms.
Convenient north shore location but parking in area is more challenging. The (new) seating is very uncomfortable with legroom worse than an economy airplane seat. Given the prices at the theater combined with the poor seating I would not go to an event there again.
Great venue... Mavis Staples tonight
Really cool old theater with lots of character
Grateful to have such a variety of shows and great names coming through our city but the sound system for both movies and concerts needs work. They seriously need a better sound system. Last night's concert (Southside Johnny) sounded so muddied, distorted, and way over the top too loud.
Saw Little Feat and Jeff Daniels over the summer- great old theatre, great town!
Historic and beautiful. Still under repair. Acoustics were excellent and the staff was accommodating.
Just got back from the Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo show. The place is looking awesome and the ac kept us all cool during an amazing show. Will be back :)
Wonderful theatre, comfortable seats, nice decor and atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Concession and bar. We had a great time seeing Aaron Neville and are anxious to go back.
Cabot is always great, but please people.... don't be afraid to stand. You're at a concert for christ sake!
Great place for stand up comedy

Saw CRB last night . Had the meet and greet and front row center. AWESOME , great sound, nice people

A nice little theater, leg room could be a bit better but overall comfy seating and a good environment
The Janis Joplin show was the best ever.
This restored Art Deco theater, turning 100 in 2020, is a real charmer. They run movies and stage concerts (we just saw Aimee Mann and Jonathan Coulton here). Social spaces (including a street-side bar and balcony bar space) and a cabaret seating area downstairs make easy to catch up with friends before the show. Far from stuffy, The Cabot is a relaxing spot to enjoy the show (and don't miss the glorious new outdoor murals).
Great venue!
The place was beautiful and the people so kind I wish I had been able to come durring mot happy times
Prime Rib, and Sunday Bloody Mary bar are my favorites. Relaxing atmosphere, owner added Keno
Beautiful theater with a really friendly staff! We brought our kid to see the Imaginations Movers here. It has a good amount of seating but feels really intimate and the sound was great. Perfect venue for this sort of event. And the people working there were so nice and helpful!
Decent sized theater. Friendly staff. Parking is a struggle and their content is mediocre. Would love to see more activity here. The space deserves to be used for more than just a local concert hall/movie theater.
Mike Girard Big Swinging Thing Blues Band was the best ever. Almost 800 seat capacity the audience psyched from start. Demanded oncor for 3 more songs. Yes I will do that again! And the restoration project is to the 9s.
This theater is in desperate need of a makeover.. seats with duct tape holding them together. it looked pretty dangerous. Stuff u read about on the news the next morning.. sound in the balcony was terrible.. so wished it was better
The most Positive Venue on the North Shore of Boston's Gold Coast.
Great place to see a concert
Had a terrific time with hubby at the Jefferson Starship Concert!
Had a great time behind the soundboard
Beautiful cinema with loads of character and wonderful shows.
An amazing place to see a show. One star off for obnoxious drink prices.
Everyone in the Northshore of Massachusetts should support this venerable institution which shall be celebrating 99 years as a place of culture, art and entertainment!
So cool. Great vibes in an old school setting
Love the nostalgia of this theater and the unusual line up of both live entertainment and films they present.
The Venue is cozy and the owner started the show by saying they are upgrading the balcony seats, sound system and lighting in January. Future shows should be even better than Zappa Choice Cuts World Tour '18 show.
So beautiful inside!! Clean and so regal! Amazing prices and great variety of shows, concerts and all kinds of things. Will definitely be back!
Beautiful inside. Comfy chairs. Good drink selection. Plenty of parking and restaurants around
The Cabot theater has a local vibe to it and always shows the coolest movies or shows that would give younger viewers and option to see things that normally they wouldn't be able to. But the screen there is just a presentation sized screen on a stage and the audio is just stacked speakers. I would recommend seeing a show here rather than a movie for these reasons.
Outstanding concert
Great venue! All new seats - the place looks fantastic!
I had never been there before. I attend a concert last night. Great place. Old theater that's been rehab'ed. They did a nice job. With new seats, decor, nice beer selection, etc. The theater is smallish so you could clearly see the performers from anywhere. They could use more restrooms though. Oh and you could fine parking in the area.
Newly renovated floor level seating and sound system makes the place pop out. Balcony still needs the face lift. Beautiful venue, was lucky to be in the audience!
Great place to see a show
This is a perfect theater for a city like Beverly. It's not small, but it's cozy. It fits into the area well, and it's got an old fashioned vibe that's still modern. I went there for a movie during the Salem Film Festival and enjoyed it very much. They had good beer and the popcorn was nice.
Great for concerts. Saw Los Lonely Boys recently. Audio was great! Beautiful old theater being remodeled. Nice to know the is a local place to watch shows, concerts etc!
Awesome classic theatre. Drink prices are a tad high, but it all goes back to reviving a small town gem like this. They book great acts too!
Great spot for a show! Plus it's surrounded by a lot of great restaurants in downtown Beverly.
I went to see Little Feat at this great venue, what a beautiful old theater. The area along Cabot Street has some wonderful little restaurants for pre show dinners. I had never been to Beverly before. If you are looking for a new home or real estate on the North Shore then you should definitely check out this area.
Love this place great place for live music and movies
We went for a $1 children's movie night. The movie started late and it was very noisy until it started. But the kids settled down and the movie was great. Super night out for families. My grand daughter was thrilled with the "fancy theater", beautiful ceiling, etc.
Sal was amazing, I can not believe how young he is. Love the venue, beautiful old theatre and great staff.
Greatful Dead concert... Awesome
What a Show. Great venue, and what an area it's in.
Great place for my daughter's graduation
❄I LOVE that they show Warren Miller every year! ❄ It's become our family tradition to kick off the Winter! ❄
The Cabot has, without question, the best and most comfortable seating of any venue I have ever been to in New England. The handicap seating also looks to be excellent. I can't speak as much to refreshments, as I never get more than water, but as a tall person with increasingly-bad knees, I adore this venue based on comfort alone. The only downside is how hard it can be to find parking.
Saw the blues brothers revue. . Amazing sound. Building is incredible. The staff and show was amazing but the atmosphere was awe Inspiring definitely a return trip. I loved how the seats were dedicated to former patrons or memorials to loved ones.
We went to the Jaws and Lobster Roll fest and had a GREAT time. The theater was packed with Jaws movie fans who cheered during key moments of the movie! A terrific tine for all! THANK YOU CABOT!
This place is reconditioning itself, very comfortable.
Beautiful old theater with pretty good seats all around. Nice bathrooms and food options as well! Sound quality wasn’t that great but good.
Great, intimate venue for films and live performances from music to mediums. Keep this arts spot on your radar or follow on Facebook so you don't miss out on some great North Shore entertainment where you can be up close and personal.
Nice small venue good sound system
Live music is ALWAYS great, but drink prices are beyond ridiculous. Their reasoning was, nonprofit! I understand you have to make a profit, but a bitters and soda shouldn't be $8 bucks....HONESTLY...
We love the Cabot great venue i meant to give it a 5 star rating!

Nice intimate theater with interesting architectural design. We took our son to the see the Imagination Movers. The venue offered snacks, adequate bathrooms, and decent acoustics for the show.

The Cabot is a gem on the North Shore. They offer a variety of excellent shows in an intimate venue. I sat just a few feet away from Marc Cohn at one of the best musical performances I have ever attended. The theater is beautiful and recently renovated. Additionally, there are many great restaurants close by and other night life in the safe, walkable downtown of Beverly MA.
Quality. The theater is beautiful. The shows are terrific. Always a satisfying experience.
Nice venue, awesome show! MD was a bit spotty with mics not always coming up on cue.
Old school feel!
Wonderful venue. Great music and movies. Hard working employees.
A beautiful theater with loads of great seats. The seating area was very modern, spacious, and comfortable, and the decor is classic; a best of both worlds experience. Great acoustics, and a balcony is available, too. Would like to see more films or a theater show here.
New sound system sounds great
Went and saw Ace freely with a friend great time great atmosphere other than the nasty wrinkled up old lady that has shares in the place that wanted to make everybody have a bad time. I guess the wrinkled up old lady has shares in the venue maybe she should just stay home.
A real jewell on the North Shore. A terrific venue to see top shelf acts.
Almost Queen was amazing and the Cabot is an awesome place to see shows!!
The sound quality was great and the shows I've seen have been excellent! Peter White Christmas tour on November 30th 2018 was Awesome! Please support the Cabot as they renovate.
Always a fantastic venue to see live music. Staff is friendly and the theater has a great sound system. A gem among small theaters!
Nice old style theater with fairly good shows coming through.
Intimate venue See a show here
AN INCREDIBLE OLD THEATER. SMALL, INTIMATE, BUT NOT CRAMPED. BEAUTIFUL TO LOOK AT WITH PERFECT SOUND QUALITIES. SEATING GOES UP AT A SLIGHT ANGLE SO EVERYONE CAN SEE. COMFORTABLE. TASTY CRAFT BEERS, AND THEY DON'T BREAK BALLS IF YOU BRING YOUR OWN WATER. BEVERLY ISP0
Great place to see a show. Wizard crew is the best!
The Cabot Street Cinema Theatre is a remarkable place for what it offers the greater community – and beyond. Truly touches all ages with its cinema offerings and live performances for children and families, millennials, us Baby Boomers, and everybody in between. The staff is above outstanding, making your experience, in fact, an experience and one that you can talk about for a long time to come. Kudos to the Cabot!
Great venue. I can have a drink and enjoy the show. A lovely old theater.
I love this place. So glad a group of investors swooped in to bring it back to its former glory.
My daughter will be attending Montserrat this year, and as we opened an account at Beverly Bank I noticed the marquee - Jean-Luc Ponty was to appear that evening. I was so excited! I've been listening to his music for 40 years. My daughter and I went to see the show, and had a wonderful time. The theater is lovely, the acoustics are splendid, and the shows offered are varied.
Great old theater, parking is tough, venue is historic.
One of the best places to see a show. Super friendly people and great sound.
Home town music venue!
Love old theaters..great night of music this eve..thank you
Had so much FUN at the Comedy show. Laughter is the best medicine!
Beautiful venue for a show!
Good venue. Saw "Princess Bride" there with a Q&A with the actor Cary Elwes and film critic Joyce Kulheywic (sp?) . A little dated and the sound wasn't the best for the movie, but a fun night! Many music acts up coming so I think it would be an excellent live music venue!
fantastic now that the ac works
Remodeled wonderful theatre to see a concert or hosted event. It's one of the gems of Beverly
Just saw Jimmy Tingle. Had a good time. Love the small venue atmosphere.

Really enjoyable and friendly venue. Easy to get to but do it early because finding parking can be an issue. Staff was very friendly and accommodating before the show but rather pushy to get people out afterwards. Also, maybe it was the show I was at (Marshall Tucker) but I was surprised everyone was sitting in their seat for most of the show. It wasn't until the encore that folks stood up and then it was only a handful.
Wonderful venue. Great music and movies. Hard working employees.

Love this place. Great movie theater. Concessions a bit pricey but I suppose that is the same in all movie theaters these days
Great place for concerts.
Great small venue
Beautiful theater with gorgeous details, but they treat a music show like cinema and require you to stay in your seat. Felt very senior citizen sitting in my chair dancing. I think they need to relax a bit. The side bar had lots of good craft beers at a reasonable cost. Lots of potential.
Great variety of live acts and movies. I especially enjoyed the summer $1 movies!!!
It is a beautiful old theater and Robert Cray was amazing but the seats are on the small side for anyone but children and if you are 5'8" or taller your legs won't fit between your seat and the one in front of you. The crowd in our section seemed more interested in constantly getting more grossly overpriced beer than in seeing the performance. Almost every song at least 2-3 people from the 2 rows in front of us went out to get more beer, forcing everyone to stand up to let them by and then 5 minutes later to let them back in again. For the amount they are charging for most popular acts you would be better off seeing it elsewhere unless you are small framed and completely blind.
Great venue for live music.
Great venue,
Great movie and music venue. Beautiful, restored theater.
NO DANCING ALLOWED AT A CONCERT?? Went to see a concert (Kashmir). The entire audience was seated. I asked if we were allowed to dance and was told yes, in front of our seats. When my friends and I did that, an usher told me I needed to sit down and that no dancing is allowed??? If you are going to be a music venue, then be one. You can't have music and tell people not to dance, that's ridiculous. I felt bad for the band as the audience sat crossed armed in their seats. You have an identity crises, you are either a cinema/theatre or a music venue, pick one. If I'm not allowed to dance while listening to music I am not interested in anymore of your shows. You are inconsistent. The Orpheum, the Wilbur, all former/current theatres allow dancing during music concerts. I feel I was taken for a ride when I paid for a concert but was not allowed to dance.
As a member of the Cabot I've been to nu.erous concerts there. A great venue to watch a concert, and the staff is very helpful.
The new 1920 Cabot theater is fantastic, saw Letting last night
Fun little theater that hosts the best shows! The staff is amazing!
Great venue for shows, intimate for a theater
It's easy to forget with all the great live shows that the Cabot is actually a cinema. These shows can be quieter than the live ones and allow you to enjoy the amenities with less bustle.
We've seen a handful of shows at this intimate venue. It's an absolutely gem that draws some top notch entertainment.
Warren Miller and great seats
Great atmosphere for that small hall venue. Great job on the renovations.

Best place to see a show
STOP. If you are over 5’8” or a size 38 waist, you will be _shoehorned_ into your balcony seat. And I really mean shoehorned. Coach class seats on an airline will seem like an opulent luxury compared to these seats. I don’t know about the remodeled downstairs - or the balcony once they remodel it, but I’m telling you right now, I have never seen seats so small.
Awesome concert... "Almost Queen". Awesome theater. To think it's 99 years old!!
Loved it. It's very cute. It's very cozy. I saw recycled percussion there and it was awesome
I enjoy the cabots diverse music genre's. Certainly so important to share and absorb culture , not only in music but in many ways .Thank you for what i can only glean from your forward thinking and commitment to the fair town of beverly and the many No. Shore fans, of which i'm one. However my last attendence to the Wailers ended with a shower of wine from the overhead balcony .While I am not opposed to alcohol I have never seen drinking allowed back to the seats. I would be dissapointed if this is allowed to undo all your hard work and time.Looking forward to next show,,,,thanks for reading
Great venue. Very nice, accommodating staff.
A truly amazing old theatre that brings a certain something to Beverly's downtown space. Go for an amazing show and check out some of the history while you're there. Easy entry, tiered seating, and great acoustics make the Cabot a must for any love music fan. Looks like they still show films as well. Would love to go back.
Nice intimate seating. Great sound
Love this historic theatre I'm so happy it's been restored for generations to come
A very cool place to see a movie or a show
Such a pretty and comfortable theater that has been beautifully restored!
A lovingly restored gem, back when movie theaters were PALACES!
Visited for the first time for a Tommy Emmanuel show. It's a delightful venue, freshly renovated and beautifully appointed. Seats are very comfortable, staff was friendly and prompt, restrooms were clean! Decor is elegant without being gaudy. Good acoustics. Great place for an intimate acoustic performance or a play.
Great venue for music
Great sound, plenty of bars, cool historic venue.
Concert was great (chris isaak) music sounded awesome. Loved that u can see the show from everywhere but the seats r so small. U really get to know the person next to u!
Beautifully restored century-old theatre in Beverly's Art's District; convenient parking and easy drive on Sundays. Great venue for reverent, innovative presentations of classics and influential seminal works of film, music and theatre! Keeps me coming back for more...
This is one of my favorite venues on the North Shore. I've seen a few shows here and enjoyed each one. It's a very intimate theater so every seat in the house is a good seat. They have craft beer and wine and also everything a movie theater would have for snacks. The next thing I'll be seeing here is a movie, I can't wait!
Saw a great show (Gaelic Storm) In a smaller venue than I'm used to but it was great. Had seats right up front on the floor. Not cramped tiny seats like I had read in other reviews. The only thing I had an issue with was the one small restroom. I should have expected it though in a 100 year old theater.
I only went to the side bar for an open mic, so i don't know about the theater itself. They host an open mic every other Wednesday, which you can check out on facebook. The bar tender was very quick, and the atmosphere was great, i do recommend!
Went to see Dweezil Zappa play last night. The show and venue were exceptional. I had never been to The Cabot House before this and loved the atmosphere. What an great place to catch a show. Staff was also pleasant and accommodating.
Love this place - great bands all packed in a small, no bad seat, local venue that's close to a lot of great restaurants!! Highly recommend getting on their email blast to get a heads up on who's playing. Tickets are extremely reasonable
Excellent sound and atmosphere but the balcony seats were small
Great concerts, comfortable venue.
Great place to see a show. A number of well-known people
This is a fantastic theater, a great place to see a show. I would have given 5 stars but there sound in the balcony wasn't great. I have no idea if it's the band, the acoustics of the theater, or what, but in the 4th row of the balcony it just wasn't very crisp sounding. But I wouldn't let that stop me from going back.
Great entertainment
Sooooooo gooooood!
