Friendly staff and every visit I've had the place is clean. We enjoy sitting in the balcony and the prices. $5 ticket Tuesday's is great. One bathroom only for each gender ( no stalls).

Small theatre, but it's nice. Employees are always friendly and great you with a smile. Snacks and drink are not extremly overpriced like other theatres. Ticket prices aren't bad either.

The Rio Theater is a fantastic historic movie theater that has been in continuous operation since 1926. The theater resides in its original location across the square from the old courthouse in downtown Center, TX. The interior has been completely updated; New seats, drapes, carpeting and lighting are just some of the updates to the venue. In 2012, a digital projector was integrated along with a contemporary sound system to give the audience-goer a true state-of-the-art movie experience in this classic space. Reasonably priced food and drink and first run movies make this a must visit theater. Family owned and operated, it is worth a trip to Center to catch a flick in the historic Rio Theater.

Simply an adorable and warm experience. The staff was very welcoming, the popcorn was fresh and buttery, and the theater was clean. It wasn’t too crowded on a Tuesday night. We sat on the balcony!
