We decided to take our family here to see toy story 4. The prices are definitely cheaper then other places but I wish we would have spent extra and gone to one of the bigger theaters. It's hot and smells damp in the theater. Not to mention all the holes in the ceiling. The kids enjoyed the movie but we will not be returning. I had high hopes for this place too and walking in it does look nice. I was just uncomfortable the entire movie being hot and that is not something I've ever had to deal with in a theater so Im diappointed

This is the best little theatre. We love the wine and beer available. The snacks are affordable and the popcorn is delicious. They play at least 2 current and popular films and their ticket prices are a few dollars cheaper than other theatres. They keep it clean and well maintained. We love going here.

Nostalgic. Love the stained woodwork on the interior. Perfect place instead of driving to Gulfport or Biloxi. Bathrooms clean and updated. Screen Great. Sound Great. Seats Great. They sell beer. Wow, beverages that other theaters don't. Most friendly group to greet you at the theater. Prices are good. $7.00. Its local. Less hustle and bustle. Go online to checkout the movie offering. I was in the bay St. Louis area for a couple of days on a little vacation, I had my 17-year-old son with me and wanted to make sure he got to do a little something that you want to do. We gotten online to see what was playing in the area and what movie theaters. We were only about 3 miles away from this theater so I decided to go see a movie while we were there. There were a bunch of reviews about this theater they didn't seem very favorable, but I always like to try to get a little local places a try. We showed up about 25 minutes early for the movie. It's stated online at the movie was seven dollars, but when we paid we only paid five. To me this is a pretty big bargain, movies are not cheap to go see anymore nowadays. Some of the complaints on the theater or that there was a smell in the theater, the screens were small pan of all things the beer selection was slim. Well I didn't experience much of a smell whatsoever at all, I guess you could consider maybe The smell coming from the gulf been something but it really didn't bother me. Well the screens are a little small they're actually quite the right size for the number of seats they have in the theater. With two screens currently going and one being developed (the owner explain to me that he was making that a dine in theater, where you would be able to order food from the wing store that they have a cross the street and eat and watch the movies). As for the beer selection, it is small but a lot of theaters don't even have beer and it wasn't really much of an issue as it was. My recommendation would definitely be to go to this theater, small local businesses are the striving backbone of America in this place certainly seems like it needs to make it. It was pleasent and clean. Cleanliness is a must for me the only thing I found annoying where the prices of the products. The water alone was $2.75 which I do find quite ridiculous and water is what I drink and it's a must because of the medications I take. Very unfortunate for me. Entry was reasonable, they do make account for senior citizens which is great especially for my pocketbook. But in all it was enjoyable and pleasant and the working kids were polite.

( I only miss Sci-Fi Saturday nites, and wish they could find a way to bring them back, although from what I got, the big movie deals they made to show first runnings have prohibited this activity any more, although for the life of me I dont see how it hurts those guys to let Beacon Theater do so in any way, . . . )

I love what they have done with the remodel. The theater looks way better than it did when it opened back in the 80's. Everything is clean, and the service is friendly. Now that they have one digital projector they can get new movies almost every week! Sound is pretty awesome too. Save the drive to Gulfport or Slidell!

Beacon Theatres is a wonderful place to go and see a movie. The staff are very welcoming and personable, and they don't oversalt their popcorn. It does a good job of making sure your movie experience is the best it can be. Maybe bring a blanket for some of the later shows, it can be a bit chilly.

They're trying hard. Popcorn is stale - even after asking for a fresh batch (I think what they had was a few days old), they didn't bother. Carpet smells awful from 20 years of abuse. Kind of hard to find the place, you have to know it's there. Staff is friendly, but there's definitely a separation between the floor staff and whoever sits up in that "office" on the 2nd floor. Like I said, they're trying hard, and for the price, we'll keep going - just won't be buying popcorn there for a while.

There’s some super minor things that I’m sure some of the pickier people would take issue with, but this is the best we’ve got in the area, and I’m kinda in love with the place.

The older lady was very rude to me and my children!!! They allowed me to buy tickets for my children and them attend without me before. My children are both 14 and well behaved. But they couldn't go without me this time. Very inconvenient they just make the rules up as they go!! I would have been a little upset BUT TO BE SOOOO RUDE ON TOP OF IT! Not only are the prices cheap for tickets, but for concessions as well. I also want to share a little encounter I had with Beacon. Last night I had left my wallet inside the theater. They worked with a nearby business to hold it for me so that I could get it before heading into work. It’s experiences like that that keep me going back to this theater again and again.

The older lady was very rude to me and my children!!! They allowed me to buy tickets for my children and them attend without me before. My children are both 14 and well behaved. But they couldn't go without me this time. Very inconvenient they just make the rules up as they go!! I would have been a little upset BUT TO BE SOOOO RUDE ON TOP OF IT! Will drive to slidell from now on!!!
