Here you will be able to see the feddbacks of real people like you who are buying the services and products of AMC Elmwood Palace 20 (Movie Theater) in Louisiana.
At present the firm gets a rating of 4.1 stars out of 5 and that rating has been based on 2515 reviews.
As you can read, it reaches an feddbacks average is really good, and it is founded on a very large number of scores, so we may be quite sure that the evaluation is very reliable. If many people have bothered to value when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to set feddbacks when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Movie Theater is classified in the category of Movie theater.
It was terrible the place was filthy inside after the staff so called cleaning. I think with the cost of seeing a movie and snacks they could do a better job of cleaning. I give them zero stars I was waiting for the rats to go running by my feet.
Went here this Tuesday night. I got my two tickets and went to the concession stand and got some pretzels bites that were way too overpriced. When we got the pretzel bites that were supposedly made “fresh”, we went into the theatre for our movie and opened the box. The pretzel bites were cold and the icing was hard as ice. We went back to the concession and asked if they could heat it up in the microwave and the worker rudely said they don’t have any way to heat it up. Now I understand movie tickets and snacks have to be overpriced to keep the business open but my thing is if you are going to over price something, at least make it be worth it for your customers. The pretzels were cold, the icing was hard but you want to charge me triple the price that YOU guys paid for it? Come on now. Never had to write a bad review for a company before in my life but that ticked me off. If you go here... bring your own snacks from home.
I really like all the changes they’ve done at amc and this theater in particular. I love the food delivered to seats, the reclining seats are awesome, the app works great, the prices are fair for off peak times. Thanks for making going to the movies enjoyable again.
The movie theater is clean and I love the peace and friendly people there
It would be nice to get a daiquiri with movie, but they don't make them anymore
I love taking all my beautiful women to this movie theater
Saw Overcomer AGAIN!!! Awesome!!!! Anointed!!! Life changing! Yay Jesus!!!
Theater is very clean and seating is comfortable.
Only movie theater around. I give it five stars because it was pretty clean. Food that's expensive was hot. But bring your own snacks. Overall this is a decent AMC Theater. If you have a problem with people talking. Went down to a management. They gave me movie passes one time at this one.
It was very messes. The food was great. I saw lion king and it amazing. I would not recommend if you have OCD
Did the Dolby Toy Story 4... excellent sound! Prior to walking in from buying tickets to over paying for drinks and snacks... employees were less than welcoming. The place was very dirty with food and trash on the floor
No enough workers........trying to save money is hurting your business
Big and dirty. Great parking though. Always smell like feet.
Good but they dont have good snacks, so you better take something to eat in you bag b4 going
I paid $60 for 2 IMAX tickets, a medium popcorn, and a drink. I understand that going out to the movies is now what seems like an investment; this much money is expected nowadays from theaters, and I understand that's probably how much I'm going to spend, but at least make sure the theaters are clean. I was seeing a popular movie, so I understand if there was no real down time to clean (maybe cutting too much slack), but when you pay $60 for an experience, I expect there to not be used napkins, popcorn, and gum stuck to my armrest where I place my hands.
The seats are torn... the roof is falling apart in Theater 8 and 50 for food for 2 is ridiculous under those conditions. The night was only great because myself and my wife just wanted to get out
Movie was good but popcorn in a coke cost more than the movie
This AMC use to be the one to go to but not anymore. AMC Elmwood you need a face lift. It just felt dirty inside. Hopefully they will remodel soon. The AMC Westbank is great!
Food prices were high but good experiences
Always the latest movies and loads of special events. The Dolby theater is the best for the latest and greatest cinema spectacles. The older theaters are showing their age, but still fine for catching a quick show for releases that have been out awhile.
The cashiers were attentive and friendly. But the theater was very dirty. Behind the food countertop had hills of trash, the drinking machine was a mess and the floor in front of them very sticky. The screen room was full of trash at every row, very disgusting. This will be my last time to come watch a movie at the theater i used to love. They definitely need new management at this location.
Went there today to see Rocket Man ..and we had their hot dogs they were aweful over cooked !! Just horrible..then we tried their 16 piece pretzels was even more or a disaster..had the worst after taste ..yuk!! The garlic was old
The theater experience here was one like any other. There was nothing special about the place. We came from out of town to watch a movie in IMAX and the area around the theater has very few places to eat. The IMAX screen is not as big as others I've been to. The stadium seating isn't as vertical so if you sit about half way up the screen like me then your sitting extremely far away. Luckily the prices were only a couple of dollars higher than normal theaters.
Great theatre. Pretty clean all the time, lots of screens and Imax/Dolby options. Recliners are really nice.
The reclining loveseats and dolby picture and sound are AWESOME!
This is a good family-friendly place. The theaters are always clean, the chairs are comfortable, and even though it isn't brand new it still looks nice. There's an area with a bunch of cardboard cutouts for upcoming movies that's basically for taking pictures in front of, kids are always stopped posing for their parents. I also don't ever see any scary looking movie posters on the way to the family friendly movies. There are two sections with family on one mature audiences on the other, it's a smart set-up. The concession counter is huge, and they have a good deal as I'm posting this for a kids package with a small drink, small popcorn and gummy snacks for 6 bucks. And adults can buy it for themselves, lol. I shamelessly eat gummy snacks. In addition to the family friendly stuff, there's still a bar off to the side and movies for mature audiences on the other side of the theater. Every time I've been here, with kids or no kids, I've had a good experience.
My shoes stuck to the floors because of how dirty it was by the drink station. The bathrooms smelts like urine. Popcorn was tasted old. Never again.
My family enjoyed the movie. The concession prices are ridiculous but thats not a surprise. We go to the matinee frequently since its 5 dollars a ticket.
This isn’t my first bad experience at this theatre but definitely the worst. I went tonight with my son to see a 6:35 feature. Only 4 people were in line in front of us to get tickets and it still took 20 minutes. The concession line was horrendous. By the time we got in the building, our movie was starting so we decided to wait about 30 minutes into the movie to step out for concessions. I figured the line would shorten once all the movies got started. Boy was I wrong! The line was even longer, but it was dinner time so my son wanted at least popcorn to hold him over. We stood in line for 15 minutes and only one person received their food in all that time. I explained to my small child that we would miss the entire movie at this rate since over 20 ppl were still in front of us. We went back to the theatre and waited to try again. After checking one more time and the concessions line being even longer and just as slow, we just left. We didn’t even finish the movie. My small child was miserable with no drink or snack for a long movie during that time of evening. On top of all of that, the employees we encountered were rude and the bathroom was disgusting. I have never left a bad review before but I just had to after this. I’ve NEVER had an experience as bad at a theatre. It is our neighborhood theatre but we will not be going back. I will drive across the city versus waste my money on a terrible experience. I do not recommend this theatre to anyone. Just a total mess.
With all of the trash and popcorn lying around you would figure the 6 employees behind the counter would take pride in the front counter enough to get off the counter stop horse-playing around and keep the concession counter clean for customers. We didn’t even buy a drink because of how nasty and disgusting the whole are was. Who’s running this place? 6 people standing around not doing anything but joking around while customers walk over trash and fallen popcorn to step on tile so sticky your shoe slips off. Come on!!! This is why theaters are going out of business
THEY ARE THE BEST. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS KEY. MORE THAN GREAT FOOD.

Really enjoyed my visit. My wife and me had not seen a movie together in about 10 or 11 years. We chose the Avengers. Pretty good move. The special effects were amazing.
Long lines standing in the heat. I never went inside. Very uncomfortable just waiting.
Prices keep going up, but the facility and service is heading downhill. Now concessions is like a convenience store with phone chargers and candy they bet kids will rip open before parents get to say "no."
Always give for the Dolby option if you can. All the marvel movies I have seen there were in those theaters and it was without a doubt amazing. Now if they could only have their automated ticket machines outside working all the time.
Dolby digital is worth every penny
Movies are good and the AMC Stubs is great but the theaters are getting shabby. They really need to spruce them up.
Wasn't a good movie,I always enjoy Tyler Perry, and the brother, uncle, brand, they are Tyler's best actors. Don't forget about Brown and quora. These new actors going to pick up the pace, the older actors are the teachers a real acting.
Great theater, but needs more of the mechanical reclining seats to give more arm room.
One employee asked us to wait 5 mins before going to theater because they were “still cleaning”! We waited a little over 5 mins and then proceeded to go in. The theater was filthy. It looked as if nothing was cleaned at all. My six year old refused to even sit until I wiped his chair down and cleaned out the arm rest! The lady at the ticket window also wasn’t very pleasant and didn’t offer any deals such as the starz card. The cashier at the concession stand also was not pleasant in greeting us to take out order. All in all, I’m not ever going back to that palace theater again!!!!
Kinda dirty. Bathrooms stink and are probably rarely cleaned. Unfriendly people at concessions. But the movie we're seeing... Downton Abbey .... is in the theater with the reclining big seats. So that's nice.
The theater is excellent, but I've had problems with the A-list stubs members app for the past 2 weekends. Answer me this...why did I pay good money for a membership when I can't use it without assistance at a theater that I really like going to? My rating would be higher if I had no problems with the AMC membership
Torn seats old sound system. But the theater was clean and neat.
The Dolby Theater is amazing, as are the reclining seats, but the partition between rows is too high. It cuts off some of the movie, especially if you're short. Otherwise a good place to see a movie.
The Lion King was great!
I love this movie theater always recommend
Seats were actually comfortable. The movie theaters are actually kind of hot but overall it's mostly an enjoyable experience.
Went to see If Beale St could talk. Place was very messy outside. One person at ticket window. All Kiosk out of paper to buy tickets quicker. In need of revamp from front to back showing its age. This was a very nice Theater for many years, not anymore. Everything needs refreshing after it's beauty has tarnished. Come on money spent can easily afford upkeep. You have to spend money to make money. Reminded me of the old N.O. Theaters many years ago.
Hands down best movie theater complex in the city. They keep it as clean as possible with the volume of people and my movies have never had any mechanical problems. The service while not perfect during peak busy times is still not terrible.
I am absolutely disgusted with this place. I am 19 years old, and was just turned away from seeing a Disney Movie. I was told that I had to be twenty-one to see The Lion King at 10:30 at night. Legally, 19 years old is considered being an adult, but what good does it do. There was only one person working the box office, and after waiting 20 minutes in the AMC stubs line, was completely disturbed when I was informed that I had to be twenty-one to purchase movie tickets for me and my cousins. As we were walking back to our car, the girl said through the microphone, "Making an announcement! If you are not twenty-one, you cannot purchase a movie ticket." It is very sickening to me that I can join the military with no problem, but cannot see a Disney movie. I will be canceling my Stubs and would not recommend this company to any person. The Grande Theater is just 15 minutes away.
I took my 10 yr old niece to see the lion king. The movie was great but the seats are very uncomfortable. Tickets were just under 20 dollars which was fine, but then we got a kid's combo upgraded with a slurpee, a bottle of water and a small popcorn and it costs a whopping 25 bucks! Geez, what a rip off!
Went to theater 15, it was so comfortable!
The biggest AMC in town and the staff is nice and attentive. Perhaps the theaters could use better cleaning but overall is not too bad. The food choices are decent too.
I absolutely love AMC, I still feel as though movie prices are extremely too high but when I take family to see a movie it's. The clearview mall location is great too.
Great movie theater! Easy to find seats and very large movie rooms!
Really disappointed. They handle concession lines like TSA. One winding long line. The only real movement is when people just left. Then evidently if you want to get through faster you have to buy a membership. Theater is outdated. It took over25 minutes to get food. My family went in without me and I missed 15 minutes of the movie. Recommend you go to Kenner Grand. Then you can see how a theater should be. Last trip here. I added a photo of the line. Let’s see how long it stays.
Popcorn was small and service was bad, counter was dirty. 6 Rip Seats needs repairs
I go here because it is convenient. Sometimes the people are nice. But most times it's a big slow cluster uck. Nasty bathrooms. Concessions close 15 minutes after movie starts. And the seat selection is nice, but it's also slow slow. You should be able to get your discount price at the self service kiosk. This is indeed a place that you can put your staff to better use. The good is they usually have a decent selection of movies. If you have a card you can get a small popcorn and drink for $5.46-- it includes the taxes. Usually the theater is clean and there are good seats left.
Most comfortable theater around the bar is a plus and recliner seats
It was a pretty decent theater. The priority kiosk doesn't work properly. The bathrooms were clean. The theater over all was comfortable. The concession stand staff were nice. Will visit this location again.
Fun family experience. Don't go often. But when we do. Its before 6pm and have coupons. Lol
Great seating and staff I'd recommend upgrade to stubs preimer to skip line and reserve seats
It was decent comfy seats not crowded really
Over priced but it's the movies, the facilities are clean and they offer nice selection of the latest movies. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Very large movie theater! Lots of choices for the latest films. All of the standard snacks; popcorn, soda, ice cream, etc. The seats are stadium style so that the film is easily visible. The prints are first class and so is the sound system. There are discount prices during the day for everyone, at night there are only discounts for children and seniors. Tends to be chilly, grab a sweater before you go, you'll need it! The Imax is great. Overall very good experience.
Lots of parking. Comfortable seats. Great hotdogs. Great sound systems. Friendly service all of the time. Near a Starbucks (approximately 200 yards away).
Customer service is not that great today didn't show up when we needed their help so we continued on watch a movie the rest of the time there was pleasure
A good place to escape reality for couple hours. I just wish they had reclining chairs at every theaters.

This is my favorite theater to visit. If possible, I like to see movies in Dolby. The seats are large and I never feel like the strangers seated next to me are all up in my space. The Dolby theater is huge, with the best seats are in the center. As you move closer to the top, you won’t be able to see the bottom of the screen if you recline your seat. The food options are limited here and the popcorn never tastes fresh in my opinion. The curly fries are great, and if cooked properly, the pepperoni flatbread is a decent option. I’ve always had good experiences with the bar service, so that’s a plus. If you frequently catch movies, you must join either AMC Stubs or A-List. Within the last year, I saved over $260 on tickets and concessions. Plus, you can get tickets for $5 every Tuesday. You can’t beat it!
Usually I love this theater.... But yesterday I went to see a movie I was waiting months for and in the middle of the movie there was a major power outage and so everyone had to just leave because there was no backup generators.... luckily the bar drinks were very good and that eased the pain lol... Overall pretty disappointed
Almost perfectly clean! Staff always helpful and not to busy!!
Best place to go for a movie. Comfy recliners!
Movies are a very big part of my life, and while I don't go as often as I like, I have been a Stubs member for a while now because I find that AMC in general has created both a program and an experience which allows me to enjoy the movie in a way I can't at home. This specific location is rather nice because of the variety of theatre choices as well as its tendency to get more obscure movies than other theatres in the area through Fathom events and others. Definitely the theatre I most often go to in the New Orleans area.
Awesome recliners! Movies are so relaxing now!
Very good quality seating but too close
Love this theater, however the staff is slim
Always has the new movies. But also always dirty!! For a better experience go to Clearview!!
The movie was great but the theater was beyond disgusting. It smelled terrible, the floors were sticky and do not look behind the concession stand. Time for a refresh AMC.
I have always enjoyed going here but this time it was nasty dirty. So sad.
*Edit* it's been six months since my original review. Just went here last week. I have AMC premiere stubs card and had to wait 15 minutes in line behind someone who wasn't a premiere member while the other line just kept moving. Upon entering the facility the same thing happened at the concession stand. What's the point of paying for premiere? Did the management change here? Theatre was dirty. Trash was full everywhere. This was on a weekday. ******* Nice and clean theater. There was a hole in the seat I tried to sit in, but I'm sure they can fix that! I'm just happy when a theater is clean and kept up! Bathrooms were tidy and seats are comfortable!
This theater used to be a great venue for moviegoing, but lately it has seriously declined due to poor management. I have visited this theater three times in the last month and each time my visit was very disappointing. The theater is always understaffed, with long lines at the box office and concession stand. Even premier customers are waiting in line for 20+ minutes to buy tickets or snacks. The theater should not advertise the premier program as providing shorter wait times if it will not staff its facility accordingly. The situation is further exacerbated by the fact that the premier line often moves slower than the regular line because the cashiers are not selecting people from the premier line often enough. The AMC Elmwood location should either acknowledge that it cannot fully comply with the terms of the premier program or better manage its staff. On top of the extremely long wait times at multiple levels, the theaters have become dirtier. Each time I leave this theater, I wish that I had gone somewhere else, but oftentimes it is the only option because it hosts some movies that other theaters don’t have, and it offers the most showtimes. At this point, that’s its only redeeming quality.
This is the second time in a month I've been here and feels like the AC isn't working. A warm theater will make any movie bad!
Very outdated, unsanitary, and slow. The workers where getting popcorn out the container with no gloves on and the popcorn was stale. One worker picked a dead roach off the ground with gloves on and then continued to serve food with the same gloves. The workers have poor attitudes and are not trained. The ceiling inside where leaking water and it stunk horribly. I will stick to the Manhattan theatre and never go back to the Elmwood one.
Great selection of movies, but theater is starting to show it's age. It's starting to get rundown and is need of a renovation. Also sometimes their movies look washed out and out of focus.
Great theater but could use a refresh. Showing its use and age. Easy in and easy out.
Nice and clean, the theater, movie screen is clear ,the sound system is good
Had a great time with granddaughter. We enjoyed Dora Explorer very much.
We saw. Aladdin with Will Smith it was awesome.
Because we had a group of 10, the seating were too close together and didn't recline I was uncomfortable the whole time I was there.
The most straightforward movie theater. Nice theater.
Nice clean good costumer service
The building needs some serious updating. The structure is looking like it's in bad shape and some of the screens are torn.
It has been a while since I visited Elmwood movie theater and the changes with the better seats we're very welcomed
Dirty building.. very dirty bathrooms, good movie though!
Best theatre in the area for variety of movies. Service for concession needs more staff or to go to full automation.
Great movie theater the price is high for snacks
I really enjoyed myself at the movies
Toy story 4 great movie... theater in some areas needed cleaning
Shows movies produced from other countries
Went to a movie today and while the theater is fine with comfortable seats, etc, the bathrooms were disgusting. Both the men's and women's restrooms smelled like urine and appeared to not have been cleaned in days. For 25 bucks just to get in, I expect to have a clean restroom at the very least!
I’ve always liked the elmwood theatre. But the prices on snacks, dang they are expensive.
Bad experience. Been to this theater multiple times and never had issues until today when I went to see John Wick Chapter 3. Saw the movie about a an hour through then the show started glitching and losing sound. Staff gave everyone a ticket to use at guest services to get a ticket for free. Problem is....no one including myself wants to use the ticket for a free pass to see John Wick Chapter 3 all over again. Wish a refund plus the free ticket was given.
It was pressuring and the movie itself was great. There were very kind and respectful people.
Decided to try the Dolby theater. What a treat! The seats were like being at home & the sound was incredible. I was disappointed people like to throw so much trash on the floor bc it's such a nice theater
Service was nice and enjoyed the movie xD
Every coke machine was out of 80% of drinks. When you're paying that much for a drink, you expect someone to change the valves or whatever needs to be done. They were out of a few concessions. This was for Lion King. They should have been better prepared for a crowd.
A nice theater. Has everything including a full bar!
This place has made going to the movies so difficult it is no longer worth the time or the money. As people who went at least 1-2 times a week I speak from experience when I say that the place is dirty, understaffed, and more than anything confusing. They have decided to have customers "pick their seats" which works fine-except when it's a popular film. The manager NEVER staffs enough people at the box office and seems to put their least experienced people selling tickets. Lines are always long-always. We tried to purchase a $100 gift card last time and the ticket seller said "I don't know how to do that". THESE PEOPLE JUST DON'T CARE!!! And the "manager" should have been fired yesterday. If you can find him/her. Having one person selling tickets at 6 o'clock on a Saturday says it all-the place STINKS!!!!
It is good enough to see the movie but nothing special exist here. The lady checking tickets ONLY checked my ID out of everyone. Nothing is remodeled here...theaters old, restrooms etc. I'm an A-list member, the regular concessions line moved WAY faster than mine. Guy serving me behind the counter didn't scan my receipt for the food I purchased, so no credits received, had to go to guest services and I have yet to see the points reflected. Just disappointing.
The only reason I gave one star is because I really liked the movie! The place was in sad shape. Cleanliness is not next to godliness when it comes to this AMC theater. There was not one single cleaning person seen. There was lots of trash and food nearly everywhere we walked all the way into the theater where we watched a movie. The movie took nearly 40 minutes to begin from the original showing time. There was damaged ceiling tiles above us and my experience watching the movie was distracted by fear of the ceiling falling in theater #16. The outside tickets booth froze and we had to go to the customer service desk which took way too long to purchase tickets. The pop corn was not flavored with salt or anything. All in all my entire experience here was trash. Elmwood theatures is the worst movie theater to go to. West bank theatures here we come.
Make sure to arrive early if you haven't already purchased your ticket! They make you pick your seats at the cashier stand, which means the line takes for-ev-er. The seats in theater 8 were kinda torn up. Could've switched seats if they didn't switch from first-come-first-serve to assigned seating
I'm kind of biased as I love movies but this place is great.
Great theatre! Liquor bar for adults and pricey but varied menu of food and drinks.
very big and a great movie theater went to go see Avengers Endgame on Saturday and the seats were very comforatable I just had one little problem I accidently dropped my card and when I got it it was coveered in someting orange. Bu otherting ekse was great.
It's a great theater , saw Endgame here and I really enjoyed it. Reserved seating, QR scan so I didn't need to get tickets. Seats could be a bit more comfy but they aren't horrible by any means
Seats are small and no recliners. Sound system is awesome. Staff very friendly...
The sitting was awesome. Not a bad seat in the place. The good was a bit pricey. I purchased caramel popcorn for $10, that ended up mediocre. The popcorn wad more than the movie ticket. The restrooms were clean and the staff were friendly.
Great seating and different options like IMAX, good food (not just popcorn), and a bar. Place gets pretty disgusting in the afternoon, advice go before matinees is over.
Elmwood palace is a beautiful structure with great ticket prices, especially the matinee at 6 bucks!!
I had a really great experience. I was sitting down and next thing I know I found a credit card next to my left boot on the ground. After the movie, I brought it to customer service and turns out they said I could keep it! I told them that I was ahead of them pal and got some nachos on my way out with my new card! Whoever Amy is, thank you!!!!
This theater consistently has long lines and few employees working the concession stands. The last few times I've gone there I skipped the concessions because it would take too long. From a business that makes most of its profits from these overpriced concessions, this seems absurd. When this theater was built it had concession stands in each wing as well as a huge one in the main lobby. Now they keep one or two registers open in the lobby and rarely, if ever open the ones in the wings. AMC management can't see the forest for the trees. Idiots!
THE DOLBY THEATER WAS AMAZING. The sound, picture quality, & seating were unbelievable. What a way to see The Matrix for its 20th anniversary.
Caveat to the following: I'm rapidly approaching middle age and this review showcases my grumpiness. They need to work on keeping the floors & bathrooms clean, and the service is pretty lackluster. If you don't want to deal with obnoxious teens, avoid the evening & weekend shows. The good points are the location, parking, & cheap matinee prices.
Swell theater, but if you don't pay to play you have to wait for a slow and uncaring staff just to get a popcorn.
The theater is horrible. The seats where destroyed !!!!! Also covered in nasty sticky candy juices. Worst theater I have ever been to and paid premium prices for.
This theater is always way to busy and never enough workers. Kinda like Walmart. We stood in line, Priority, for 25 min. Good thing we got there early made it to the seat as the movie started!!
My wife and I brought 3 of our 4 kids to see Toy Story 4 on 6-22-19. Ticket prices have increased dramatically since my last visit, we chose the Dolby Cinema. The reclining seats, ample room and awesome sound made the price worth it. The movie was great and graphics were astounding. The downs to our visit are as follows, the counters at concessions were greasy, soda covered, popcorn on the counters and floor (not just a little it was rediculous)not to mention a large popcorn and drink is $16. The cinema itself wasn't over crowded and with only two registers open, two popcorn machines running and about 10 to 12 employees standing around both behind the counter and out on the floor cutting up I'm sure someone could've been tending to the mess. They could've more than likely grabbed the guy that was hanging out in the ticket office upfront not doing anything but hanging out and talking while I was trying to purchase our tickets. The soda machines were working but unfortunately Barqs Rootbeer was unavailable on two of the machines as well as Dr. Pepper and after paying the price I did for that drink I would've assumed someone from the pack of 10 to 12 or so would've taken the inititiative to ensure they were stocked. Not sure where the manager(s) were but customer service was empty. Couldve been one of the employees on the floor socialising and hanging out. The game room was closed, bathroom across from screen room 20 was horrible. Won't even indulge into those details. Last but not least our screen room was 20, close to every seat had trash in them. Im talking straws, cups, candy boxes, candy wrappers etc in the cup holders... they used to spot clean in between veiwings, not sure thats on the list anymore because that room was dirty. Would've never imagined paying those prices to go in and have to clean our seating areas just to be able to sit down and enjoy the movie. The H row seating had the trim carpet between seats 19 and 10 completely coming off. For the prices they charge I again would assume these problems would be non-existent or at the very least kept to a minimum. Not trying to beat the place up but offer constructive criticism towards improving and becoming better. These conditions I mentioned above are very easy to curve. Proper training the employees/managment is vital. Im not saying every employee was bad because a few I interacted with were fantastic. The others with the "oh I don't know" mentality and walk away like they were going to get an answer but never showed back up... I'd surely let them draw unemployment while they find a job that they care about and can do. Palace 20 is a theatre I remember being such a great cinema growing up, not sure what happened or who is in charge but it seems to be going downhill rapidly. Hopefully the management will take a closer look at its training guidelines and carefully watch the floor to ensure the work they are being paid to do gets done. Hopefully next time it will be better.
The only theater I go to in the area. It is 8.3 miles from my dwelling. I really don't want to go to any of the other ones. Especially with their Dolby theater.
The movie was amazing. But there was a packed house and only 2 people working the concession stand. We stood in line for 25 minutes to only find out they didn't have the items we wanted to order. The cashier didn't great us and had a very nasty attitude. We tried to order her response"we only got hot dogs and nachos".... We ordered what they had. We thanked her. She said nothing in return. I'd go to the Regal Theater in Kenner next time or the AMC at Clearview.
Went to see the lion king even though we only had 5 people in the hole threater totally and the movie has been out for a long time the tickets were the same price as when it first came out i did like that at all but great movie
The upgrades are beautiful! Loved the chairs and Dolby Sounds and pictures was like no other! Wow!
Love this theater lots of parking. Food options are good.
We saw a movie that wasnt great, but the theater had a leak behind the screen that soaked it in a spot, and there was construction noise that interfered with the movie. The manager was very helpful and gave us free passes to make up for it, but she had no idea what was happening in this particular theater. And getting the manager to the front was sort of difficult due an extremely young and inexperienced staff behind the concession counter. Not the worst experience, but it could have gone better.
Movie theaters are good, line for snack bar is always long and overpriced. Servers at the bar need more experience.
Dirty!!!!! There was still a sauce cup in a cupholder next to me. The chairs are cracked and small. The walls have nasty stuff you can rub off with your fingers. This place is probably a safety hazard. I'm only here for an exclusive movie. Other than that its not worth it. Seriously. Choose somewhere else. Only one theatre room has recliner chairs. So 99% chance you won't get it. I didn't.
Dirty! Considerable trash outside of the building, the theater wasn't cleaned after the previous show. I walk in and out of the bathroom because that was a mess I just didn't want to deal with. The ticket kiosks were not working, and only one employee working the ticket booth. I wanted popcorn, but there were only two people working concessions, and the line was really long, so I skipped it.
Worked here and was a customer here great service as always❤️
I prefer going to Clearview instead because it's a smaller theater which means less people are running back and forth while you're trying to enjoy watching a movie plus the seats are more comfortable at Clearview.
Excellent theater. Best AMC in new orleans
Expensive but nicer seating than Clearview. We really saw an awesome movie!!!
What an amazing staff and venue! The customer service was expedient and attentive to my needs. When I came to the customer service desk looking for help, the employee treated me like I was welcome and that my needs were important. As soon as I walked up to ask for help, he immediately hung up with the customer he was helping to give his full attention to my needs. It's that kind of personal touch and care for the customer that really makes you feel like a prince! Plus, as I was leaving, some guy gave me a free credit card, and I've been using it ever since with no problems! What a great experience!
I lost a credit card here and called customer service to see if they had it. After telling her my name, the women put me "on hold" and asked the manager if they had any credit cards under my name. I could hear him radio back within 5 seconds that they had 75 cards and none by that name. Not believing they even looked, I called back again and asked if they could please check one more time. The women claimed the manager had looked through the cards. I responded by saying I heard there were 75 cards and how could he possibly look through them all so quickly. She stuttered and abruptly said the manager looked through them and then hung up. I would have appreciated the employees at this establishment to at least put some effort forth in helping me out. Taking 5 seconds to look through 75 cards does not seem like a quality system to me. Aside from this matter, we had to wait over 30 minutes in the concession line. Only two employees were on the registers during on a FRIDAY night.
There has been a big improvement. Quick ticket office & pleasant employees. Greeted with smiles. Very clean snack area. Popcorn was hot and butter was tasty. Bathrooms actually very tidy. Show temperature was comfortable. But after the show was over I was disgusted by how much the movie goers were nasty and inconsiderate. After just 2 hours the same tidy show auditorium & bathroom was trashed beyond belief. Noone bothers about discarding their own trash and almost bathroom toilet was left unflushed. Show courtesy goes beyond silencing your cell phone people.
The Dolby theater is the best I have experienced. Unfortunately the entire theater is filthy no matter how busy or time of day. The staff is in slow motion and unmotivated. This place is lacking management and oversight. I would hope people would take it upon themselves to clean up after themselves and try avoiding destroying the place. Haha that will never happen and the Palace will continue to be a reflection of this decaying society as predicted in the movies we go to see.
Concession line could have been better
Clean, great seats, delicious food and drinks.
The theather is good , but a lot of people entering the building without paying , a lot of kids opening doors so their friends can come in for free and nothing is done about it, better security needs to be hire or improved.
On a weekend where all theaters were sold out, only three registers at the concession stand were open. It took over 50 minutes to get popcorn and drinks. AMC Elmwood management needs to take lessons from Chick-Fil-A management. I am only coming back to this theater when not crowded.
This place has made going to the movies so difficult it is no longer worth the time or the money.
