This was our first visit here and we saw Dumbo. The popcorn was tasty, drinks were fresh, staff was friendly, and the theater was clean. We love the reclining seats. That alone makes this our go to movie spot!

Clearly one of the highest and theaters in the entire city. The nice tall seeds that you can literally sit back in relax fill the theaters here. Screens larger than any I've seen in the area. The facilities themselves are very clean and the parking lot is very organized as well. with all the perks comes the caution to make sure you get there earlier as this facility is very popular for the entire city. Parking is sometimes scarce and some lines have the potential to be longer than expected.

Understaffed, disgusting and, overpriced. The staff that was there was very rude and unhelpful. Movie theaters are not always the cleanest businesses but this was outrageous. I paid way too much for a drink only to discover that all of the fountains were mostly spitting out water and a small amount of whatever drink. When I asked for a refund they told me to just keep trying until it worked. Never going back the one in the mall has the same seats and is a much better theater. Never going back.

They played the wrong movie format and did not notice. 40 minutes into the movie it freezes and they finally play the right version, but started it over. The manager, when the issues we're brought up, was sarcastic and lacked an apology. Poor customer service all around.

Hands down the best movie theatre in Louisville for comfortable movie watching. The leather reclining seats make sitting for 2+ hours seem like nothing. The large IMAX screen with 360 audio that you can feel will make any intense, dramatic or suspenseful moment feel even more so. Now remember it's still a movie theatre so it cost like $50 for a ticket, drink and popcorn but if you going to do it. Then do it at Xscape.

This theatre I definitely in my top 3. I always go see the Xtreme features. Talk about an Xtreme experience. The screen is HUGE. There's no way you can miss anything, no matter where you sit. I saw the new MIB movie and the screen resolution was unbelievable. Not to mention the state of the art surround sound. Oh and those reclining seats were spacious and comfortable. The only thing that was a little bit if a bummer was the worst the concession stand. There are initially only two cashier's and one definitely didn't seem too excited bout his job.

Bring a blanket and get cozy in one of their reclining seats, the most comfortable theater I have been to. Other theaters have tried to keep up by installing recliners but none are as roomy or relaxing as the ones here.

The concession area is always a disaster. Nice comfortable seating and decent screens, but the sticky nasty mess that is always present at the drink stations (always lacking paper towels) is the reason I despise going to Louisville area theaters.

Upon entering there was a single staff member at the concessions. She was inundated in preparing made to order food and had a very long line. Finally someone else showed up to help. The drink counter was covered in coke syrup and popcorn and was disgusting. We proceeded to the theater where the door was shut. We entered the theater that had not been cleaned. Coke cups, water bottles and popcorn bags everywhere. This is the most disgusting theater I have been to. They are clearly understaffed. This was my first time here and will certainly be my last.

We went to see a 11:40am movie and it was not crowded at all. Staff was friendly and helpful during my ticket purchase and during snack purchases. It was clean and popcorn was fresh. I think they are a bit higher than other theaters, not by much but it make a difference when taking a family.

This place is the best theater ever. you can go in you can get popcorn or a pretzel or whatever you want you can also get a beer if you'd like. You can take in a blanket and the recliners are wonderful. You go in there you get comfy you pay back and you watch your show. They have two different kinds of theaters one is a Xtreme theater and then the other is a regular theater both are great.

Here today at 8:50 pm it’s disgusting and dirty in drink area. Hair everywhere and you can see hasn’t been cleaned in days. Employees rubbing hair and touching food items. Some employees standing around talking or day dreaming and clueless on where managers are! They act like they don’t know where anything is at! It’s horrible. Must be new management because never seen this place sooo disgusting! Very disappointing!

First time to visit this locale. It was on a Sunday matinee and we were absolutely pleased. Yes, popcorn drinks blah blah are overpriced that is EVERYWHERE. It was the staff who were mannerly and the movie experience was top notch. We have avoided movies due to the comfort of them... However this theater just changed that. When I saw people coming in with blankets even a pillow (small) I thought hmmm? Enter my new theater room!!! Recline, relax, and just forget about the world for a couple of hours. After this visit, no other theater will compare!

Best in Louisville. Bring a blanket and pillow for the kids. Excellent power reclining seats. We typically go early to buy tickets, then eat nearby before heading back. I have seen movies here on their first day and their last week, no issues and no complaints. The only negative is the cost and particularly the refreshments cost. That unfortunately is true of most all theaters today.

I always LOVE coming to this theatre! Comfortable seats, real food, friendly staff. I love the fact that the seats recline and you can get cozy in the chairs. The only thing missing is heated seats! That would make this place even better! Concessions are expensive but that's like all movie theaters. But the quality of the food is quite good. I always get the soft pretzels or pretzel bites and they are always hot and delicious.

This theater is the epitome of modern. Seats that are luxury seats, reclining, alcohol being served. But, I picked a chair in a theatre as your now required to do and it was moderately broken. It was still comfortable just the reclining function only half worked. The floors were moderately sticky. The snacks were overpriced like many theatres. The soda area was kind of grody, and the butter machine for popcorn 75% of which were out or didn't work. Plus the tickets were more expensive. I.may is this theatre again but I would prefer other theatres in the area.

Come here whenever I want to see a movie. I get a student discount, the seats are basically lazy boys, the surround sound is utterly amazing, and the screen quality is the best I've ever seen. My friends and I always enjoy our time spent here and plan to come back soon.

This theater used to be so nice!! The concession area is the dirtiest I’ve ever seen at a theater. The ice machine was broken, straw dispenser not filled just a box sitting next to it. The grime that is visible makes you want to vomit! Bathrooms are filthy. Popcorn was stale. What happened? Management is clearly not doing their job.

I loved the recliner seats, the food selection was great and the staff was very friendly. I took a star away because the line to get tickets was long and unorganized, the back of my theater seat was broken so I was practically lying down watching the movie and the bathroom was dirty as well.

Few things: Even though you purchase tickets prior to arrival you still have to wait in a ridiculously long line to show proof of purchase and have them printed. Out of 4 fountain drink machines one kind of had ice and one was completely out of order. At 9 dollars a drink you think they’d have ice in one of the 3 somewhat functional ice machines. Workers didn’t seem to want to address this issue. It was a free for all. Bathrooms are gross. Men’s restroom had only one working faucet out of three and only a handblower, no paper towels. Theater itself was dirty. We were last here on a busy Saturday night. Get it together guys. This place was quite nice when it first opened but now it’s starting a steep decline. For as busy as it is I’m surprised they are so understaffed and there are so many things broken and in need of repair. Will start going somewhere else.

After going to Xscape for the first time, my family and I have been forever spoiled and haven't been able to visit any other theater. The screen/video quality is incredible, and the sound system to back it up. Seating is spacious and VERY comfortable. As with all theaters, prices on drinks/candy/beer is very high.. But I'll say Xscape doesn't mess around with portions. You might pay 8 bucks for popcorn, but you're going to get enough popcorn to feed a family of 5. My only complaint: Why do the front 1-2 rows even exist? The experience in the front row is genuinely bad with the size of the screen. I would fully anticipate someone wouldn't go back if their first experience was sitting in the front row.

I enjoy visiting Xscape. Other than the fact their prices are slightly higher than a few other theatres. Overall, each theatre is well maintained. The seats are enormously comfy. Sound systems are excellent. However, like most places, the restroom experience can be an adventure in people's disregard for others.

I’m usually very impressed with xscape and have loved the movies but I recently went to see The Lion King and in one of their new theaters “xtreme” theaters and the movie was pixilated. I was in the main seating (not close to the screen) and could see the red and blue from the pixels on the screen. I was very disappointed as I paid extra for the screen itself and high quality picture. Really disappointing...

Seats are comfy and they all recline! Wide spaces between rows to move easily. The surround sound is really good as well. My only complaint was that it is always freezing! Many patrons bring blankets. Staff were friendly and bathrooms were clean as well. I won't go anywhere else!

Also I showed up as few mins late and was going to pay cash for my tickets will they had the register closed for that and sign said to go to concession stand the lines were so long but they were shorter to buy tickets worth credit so got in that line went to buy tickets they weren't showing the time for movie went to concession stand asked for manager she said I could only buy them with cash so I said ok she said movie starts in 2 mins previews are over and told me I would have to get in the long line and wait even though I waited to buy them with credit!! If they line for tickets was opened I wouldn't have had to deal with that so I walked out!! Worst place ever!!!

First and foremost the popcorn was horrible and in my opinion this is a major part of the experience. The get through the lines quick at the snack bar. I dropped some change out of my pocket and I was super surprised at how dirty the seats are when you look down in them. Theatre seat A1.

Bought tickets online in #9...the recliner seats for wheelchair accessible D1, D2 & D3. Seats D2 & D3 were broken down and remained in recline mode like the backs were broken. Luckily we moved to the middle section and was able to enjoy the movie. Such a shame because it's a new theater and the price around $13 per person.

The seats are motorized and lean back with footrests. Otherwise roughly the same as other movie theaters. But the seats get me to go back. That and as a sound quality nerd, their upgraded sound system in the XD room is out of this world.

This is a good Theatre I've been to a few times. The recliner seats are very nice and very comfortable. The seats also give you plenty of room to move around and the theater is not too crowded. They also have some of the largest screens in the Louisville area. However the ticket prices are pretty expensive comparative to the other theaters in the area and other theaters are starting to also have recliner seats.

I love going to movies there. I have bad knees so the reclining seats are great. The theater is cleaned after every movie, and if someone 7 ft. tall sits in front of you, you can still see the movie!
