Lipstick on a pig. Sorry but if u want the truth, the facilities are VERY aged. Bathrooms are decades past a remodel and nasty. Screens are too small with the speaker soundstage far from ideal. The theaters' "sloping" are so bad that if there's someone tall seated in front of u, it blocks the screen. To make matters worse, there are literally 15mins worth of syndicated TV commercials before the movie previews even start! Seriously! If u think I'm exaggerating, u would be wrong! Try it yourself and see. The 2 tiny shining lights are the very courteous staff and the newly renovated seats. But that's a minuscule amount of lipstick for such a HUGE pig!

Movie started 20 mins late so they could "let more guests in" aka try to rake in more money.". We got there early...you know on time...and my son had to sit for forty minutes because of their rudeness. When I asked why my time wasn't important, I was met with a rude confirmation that, in fact, my time wasn't important - not an apology. Dirty, small, understaffed, and a terrible experience.

Great experience and sound and movie quality great. Clean and comfortable theater and seating. Men's Bathroom needed some attention. Price was cheaper than local competition and love the mall feel before and after the movie.

I love this theater! This theater was open when I was a teen but had been shut down for years. Since reopening the owners have steadily been remodeling and updating giving the community a great affordable place for the family. The thing that stands out the most is the staff, these are the friendliest people! They genuinely care about their customers and are always running specials on concessions to give a more affordable experience for large families!

Seats were comfortable but a tight on leg room, I'm petite. But, fabulously comfortable. Prices are great! Both tickets and food were reasonable plus large combo has free refill on both popcorn and drink. Sound and picture quality were both excellent. My daughter and I saw the original Tom Cruise, Top Gun. Great classic! I'll go again. I also like their movie selections.

Used to visit this theater when I was a teen with my cousins 30 years ago. I was pleased to see it was still open when we were in town in mid 2017. I took my 16yo son to see a movie and was impressed how well maintained the facility was and the staff were exceptionally friendly. Didn't have any if the concessions.

I have came here ALOT of times since the reopening. Every time the staff is amazing, the bathrooms are clean and nothing is overpriced any more than any other movie theater. I think the people with the bad reviews on the staff probably have horrible attitudes themselves because the staff is amazing. I hope they can stay open this time. I prefer going here to the other theater. I live around 30 minutes away and I definitely would choose this theater over the other one after having to drive for it. Brings back alot if nostalgia!

Very nostalgic. It's nice taking my kids to the same movies at the same place my dad took me. I hope they continue to play some older movies along with the regular line up. The price of tickets and snacks are nostalgic as well.

This place is gross , overpriced, and the movies they show are already out and have no posters for the advertising. The seats are sticky and the bathrooms have piss all over the floor. When I bought the overpriced candy I couldn't help but see it was far out of date and the cups for the drinks also seemed to have a strange residue on them . nasty

Showplace is a small theater. And it is family friendly, reasonably priced, clean, and has a great staff. They also play movies besides just the most current, major releases, do customer appreciation free movies and sometimes give away cool promos. If you are the kind of person that wants to fight crowds to spend a 100 bucks for a family of three to see Avengers: Endgame in IMAX, obviously you will probably want to go somewhere else. If, however, you want a more mellow movie going experience and appreciate things like free Aquaman posters or being able to watch The Shape of Water when no other theater I could find in Kentucky was playing it, then you definitely should give Showplace a try.

Horrible experience, went to by a ticket at 1:05 the movie started at 1. There was no one up front to sale tickets so I waited 2 minutes and this women walks up and sits down behind the food counter right in front of me. I ask if I can buy a ticket and she never looks and me or even acknowledged I was there so I stood there 30 seconds and walked off. Would never recommend this place to anyone.
