Had a great time seeing Rampage at Movie Palace good movie theater to watch a movie only thing wish was better would be before the movie starts not so many advertisements and more movie trailers of upcoming movie theater releases. Like if you really must have advertisements add more movie trailers had a great time other then that Movie Palace is a great e town movie theater for moviegoers visiting this movie theater 4/5 stars.

Inexpensive local theater ($8 for adults). Smaller screens than the big names but plenty big enough for its smaller showing rooms. Also chairs are newer and comfy and showing rooms are kept clean. Haven't run into any long ticket lines, even for new releases.

It is amazing u can go there for any purpose, a date, or whatever and it will be nice. Everything isnt the fanciest but it is at an affordable price and at decently sized theater rooms. 100% recomend.

This has been my go to theatre for the better part of 13 years. Even though there is a new theatre over at Crowne Point this one definitely still holds it own and is cheaper. The service is great and the seats have been redone within the last few years so it's an overall good experience. I've watched many a good movie with my friends here.

3rd visit. Clean and updated theater. Great seats . Only drawback is it is not readily accessible off the main highway . If you have not been here before and dont know the area, consult your phone mapping directions . Very friendly folk and reasonable refreshments with self serve drinks

Love this place! Theu always have the lastest movies and everyone is so friendly. Their popcorn is to die for. We always buy some to take home for the next day. They have stadium sitting which makes ir great ti be able to see the movie no matter where you sit in the theater.

Definitely needs to have a remodeled on the inside there is a new movie theater on the East end of town that is new and updated however for a cheap movie this theater does the trick they probably could advertise a little more because if you don't know where it's at it is a little bit hard to find the front of it is on a side street but you can't get there from Dixie Highway

It had been a while since my last visit. Nice upgrades that included new, comfortable seats in the theater. The bathrooms have been updated as well. Only cost $8/adult ticket for a movie which is much cheaper than other cities. Employees were great also!

Me and my friends have went to this movie theater before , and the movie cop came In one time and was super rude to us saying we couldn’t be in there , but then later apologized saying it was his fault. The. I go in there today and we did absolutely nothing , he comes up and gets in our faces . I was drinking Pepsi and choked on it while he was talking and he got in my face and aid “oh you think it’s funny , I will kick you out of here right now” and then I didn’t answer I just started at home because I really do have respect for adults and he really had the audacity to say “what, say something, you can’t talk now?” And was just totally a douche . And then while we’re watching the movie we look up and he’s staring right at us. Which is totally creepy. I will never be coming to this theater again. It was totally blown out of portion. I would be completely fine if he had came up there and just told us some rules and just said make sure we act our age or whatever, but he had no right to get into my face. I am a 16 year old girl, have not gotten into trouble before , and most definitely would not have given any attitude to him. It just really upset me , and I thought people needed to hear about this before deciding to go into this theater

At one time, this place was the only movie theatre in Etown and it was fine. Nothing too amazing but nothing great either. As time has gone on, this place has plummeted because of the lack of competition. Seats remained outdated and broken plastic things with horrid red fabric, floors were sticky, and a few screens slowly were becoming more and more damaged. Snacks are either popcorn or candy and usually too expensive to even bother. The only good thing was that the tickets ranged from $6-$8, much cheaper than say a $12 in Bowling Green. This has all changed though. The new theatre in town is amazing. A wider selection of snacks, incredibly comfortable chairs that reclined, clean, clear HD, and the tickets are about the same price. Movie Palace is a relic of the past. I would have given it one star, but the extra star is for the fact they did put in new seats and for the pleasant old woman who takes your ticket who has worked there for 20 years or so.

This place has become much nicer after all the redesigning. The seats are of much higher quality, as well as the food selection. The bathrooms are nice, and the waiting/arcade area is perfect for opening day blockbuster crowds. Very few complaints, so five stars.

The popcorn is always stale. My Son and I went and we both got a large bag of popcorn. This places large is most places medium with the same asking price. Both our popcorn was more crumbs and kernals than fresh popped popcorn. Honestly can't wait for the new theater to open

They have not even had a soap dispenser in the back men's restroom for several years now. The theaters that have been upgraded are nice, but the rest of the facility doesn't seem to be taken care of well.

They have made upgrades with the bathrooms & the concession & even the chairs. The chairs are better than what they were but don't recline. Everyone is always friendly. At least they have a bathroom that is out in the lobby you can use before purchasing food or drinks.

I have been to the Movie Palace about 5 times and each time has been a wonderful experience! We haven't had to stand in line for extended periods of time or wait to get drinks. They do an awesome job of keeping it clean, Friday, October 19th we saw Halloween and as we were leaving the cleaning crew was going in the theater. Great place to watch movies...

Brought my daughter there to see avengers 3D. The movie itself was a bit long winded. However, 3D quality was unbelievable awesome. The theater was clean with comfy seats. Mens room could use some care but not bad. Staff was very courteous and respectful. Concession prices were fair for a movie theater. A pretty good bang for your buck.

Opens too late, closes too early, not enough show time options. The only up side is the cheap concessions compared to other theaters. It would be nice if it would stay open until the latest movie lets out. If you go to a 9:30 showing and need a refill, you can forget it after 9:45.Parking needs to be improved BIG time. I’m also 99% sure one of the staff stole my wallet while cleaning the theater once. I never “found it”.

I love this place! It's been updated with new seats and a better concession. I have never been to the new theater but why would I? The prices here are better. It's not as busy. Not to mention the service is great. It's got that small town feeling. The weekend and evenings are definitely busier.

The chairs in the theater squeak when you make a move, the theater smells like wet carpet with syrup on it. They do have good prices, but that is no excuse to oil their seats and at least throw some baking soda in their carpet once in a while.

Movie Palace is a lot bigger than it appears from the outside! It has 8 theaters. The one we were in was very decently sized, which surprised me. The concession stand worker was very nice & helpful, letting us know we'd be delayed getting in our theater just a few minutes late due to them having a huge crowd (150 or more) come in & they had to put them in the theater our movie was in. After their movie ended, it didn't take Movie Palace any time to get the theater clean & ready for us/our movie. Plus, he warned us if we put lots of butter on our popcorn to be aware their butter tends to seep thru the bottom of the bag. We appreciated his warning! (The butter seriously seeped thru, even with being warned!) They also have Senior discount @ age 55 & Military discount - the military discount is only available on Thursdays, while the Senior discount is available 7 days. The Senior discount is sizable. The only negative was the large popcorn was not "free refills" as we've experienced in Louisville theaters. Free refills on the drinks, though. Even though there's a "no free refills" sign on the FOUR(!) soda machines. All in all, a great, enjoyable experience, excluding the popcorn!

Honestly this review is just from the last time I ever went to this theater. I went to see the nun and it felt like i was watching a football game in my friends basement. People were loud, talking constantly, and causing a ruckus. It honestly ruined the conjuring movies for me because now i can't watch them without laughing. And i never would have thought i would have heard the words "yeeted that jesus blood" in a sentence ever in my life but i was so wrong.

Updated seats are nice, but WOW, the older lady taking tickets must be off her meds! Rude as hell. She’s sitting at the ticket taker stand working on stuff & I approach to ask a simple question & she cuts me off & says “I’m on lunch until 6 pm”... she was ignoring everyone else telling them the same thing. & at the same time yelling at people to get in line... IF YOU’RE ON LUNCH, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE INSTEAD OF SITTING AT THE TICKET BOOTH LIKE YOU’RE WORKING! Then our 2 children come up to get back in line with us (they were playing video games) & she tells them they have to go to the back of the line! I asked her if she needed a birth certificate or photo ID to prove they were our kids, as she was looking at us like we were lying! Like crossing the Mexican border, children being separated from their parents right in good ole’ Hardin county! Definitely just taking the trip to Louisville next time! The only thing entertaining so far was how everyone was banding together and mocking her rude self

Meh. Not premium seating, small portions on snacks and no refills. The price is reasonable though. Which is good because the crowd was rambunctious. The pre-show advertising is local, low budget and thus hilarious.

Looks like they may have gotten new seating in the theater. Very soft comfortable rocking seats. Movie has been too loud several times and temperature way cold and had to go tell management Last went May 16 2019. Great temp, not too loud. Very comfortable. Did not buy concessions because both other times we bought popcorn it was fluffy kernels on top and 3/4ths hulls.

Dispute the improvements that's being made It's far from perfect. The carpets are the same from when I started going there twenty plus years ago. Most if not all the screens have visible damage to them of some sort. There hasn't been a soapy dispensary in mens restroom (NASTY. Doesn't even cost them that much to fix). The popcorn I've gotten the last six or so times have been nasty (plenty of times being mostly of unfinished popped popcorn. As if they've scraped the popcorn from the dead bottom). They don't even bother to giving/offering drink carrier for those that needs one (sighting that there supplier don't carry any which I know for fact is a lye since I've see the exact same supplier delivering to them as to my store). Even some damage walls as if someone punched a fest into it. Some ceiling in the theater has damage to it. And sometimes the smell is awful even during the first showing. Don't know if it's just me or not but sometimes it's either too cold or too hot in there. When the NEW theater finally opens I see this place closing it's doors soon after.

There newer black leather seats make watching a movie the most comfortable time, the matinee is the best time to go because tickets are only $5 except weekend is $6 for matinee and $7-$8 for evening tickets. The popcorn is always my favorite although it is pricey but worth it! Great family or date night place to go to!

While this movie theater is run down, it does have a few advantages to the brand new one in town: 1. Tickets are cheaper, and 2. More movie selection, because they have a few more screens. It's not well-maintained, the bathrooms are bad, and I am not sure how long it will continue to operate, but yet, I still find myself there!

We celebrated my daughter's 14th birthday party at the Movie Palace. The staff was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed the space provided for the party, but it is an open space, not a closed room. Also, we did well with our 20-25 people but anymore would have spilled over into the hall. We would recommend this for a young teen or a child's party, but not much older than our daughter. Both managers and Billy Bob were outstanding and very attentive. Were were very satisfied.
