You will be able to see the information of real people who purchase the services and products of Baxter Avenue Theatres (Movie Theater) in Kentucky area.
To this day the firm has a rating of 4.6 stars out of 5 and that score was based on 1369 reviews.
As you can see it reaches an feddbacks average is practically the top, and it's founded on a very high number of opinions, so we can say that the rating is quite faithful. If there are many people who bothered to value when they've done well with the business, it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to place opinions when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Movie Theater is classified in the category of Movie theater.
Love the recliners at this theater. My daughter and I had the theater to ourselves, theater was clean and they seemed to be repainting.
The place seemed dirty and noisy. Lots of trash on floors and bathroom a but of a mess. People talking loudly laughing and screaming for about 1\2 an hour outside our theater doors during movie. Went to 9:40 show.
Was there for my birthday seen Furious Fate with good buttery popcorn a large Pepsi an some candy snacks was a great outing.
Great comfortable seats
These seats are comfy as all get out! Even my mother was impressed!
Location is solid. Seating is modern. Service is chill.
The seats are comfortable. Service is what you would expect. Overall great experience, but it gets crowded quick.
Concession staff was friendly...girl selling the tickets seemed disinterested....not a bad place overall.
Local, independent movie theater. Doesn't air as many independent movies as it used to, but still a great theater.
Was totally surprised how great this place is clean and the prices are good free refills on extra large popcorn and large pops and they serve alcohol that is a little pricey Tuesday are 5.75 all day to see a new movie
The seats are so comfortable!
Love the seats and the employees are very friendly
Recently updated seating and great location are major pluses. Screens are on the smaller side, but it really only matters to me for visually spectacular movies. Prices are pretty standard, but perhaps a bit more than you might expect given the screen sizes. The location makes up for it though.
We went to see Bohemian Rhapsody here. The movie was great. The seats lean back & recline, feet up. Luxury! I am handicapped, so theater could be more handicapped friendly. Not enough handicapped parking, what there is is too far away from the door. (Nothing new, even hospitals have this problem). Like a lot of handicapped people I am not in a wheelchair, but have difficulty walking long distaances
Probably my favorite place to go watch a movie. The seats are comfortable and spacious. You can buy your tickets ahead of time and they always have lots of showings for the most popular movies. They have a clean facility and I've never had any issues with this place. Full disclaimer though, I never buy anything from the concessions so I have no idea how expensive or good they are.
Great theater, super comfy seats and friendly staff.
Service & facility makes it a great place to go to the movies.
Love coming to this theater but saw 2 different mice running around inside the theater which was a bit off putting. Hopefully the mice enjoyed captain marvel as much as I did. 2 stars docked for multiple rodent sightings.
Most comfortable seats. Great sound system. Plenty of parking. Did visit the Concession stand
Decent little theater, especially on Tuesdays only 5.75 all day!
My preferred theater. The seating can't be beat. Neither can the area of town.
My favorite neighborhood theater!! Comfortable, clean!
I love this theater! Friendly staff, nice reclining seats, lots of leg room so you don’t have to move when someone walks in front of you. Affordable tickets and the snacks aren’t extremely expensive compared to other theaters. Im giving them 4 stars because they only show certain movies.
We enjoy this theatre. Adequate parking for being in the Highlands. Big comfy seats that recline back. Its our local go to movie theatre.
Since moving to Louisville, this has been my favorite theater showing both new release, more artsy stuff, documentaries, and midnight moves of older movies. There's always something good playing there. Add to this- they pop their own popcorn and serve wine! Oh, and they have recliners.
Every seat is the best seat in the house. The crowd is usually polite and well-behaved. I think the beer is a bit expensive. The popcorn 8s good, if you can convince them to put enough butter on it.
Seats are reclineable, relaxing and clean. No cellphone rings, crowd is small. Love the chairs and staff. Great place. Just wish their served polish sausages.
Very nice loved the seating and friendly
A very classy surprise that made me feel like upper echelon. Bravo!!!
Favorite Theater in Louisville. Avid movie fan for 60 years. Been to all the movie theaters. Still my favorite. Awesome RECLINERS!! One bad theater number 7 has a bad screen making every movie grainy like an old tv signal. Probably a bad repair from past vandalism. Fix #7 to earn the 5 stars I gave you!
Nice place. The recliners are wonderful and the bathrooms are very clean
Clean, comfortable a adult atmosphere, not a lot of kids running around.
Enjoyed my time and movie.
I like that all of the chairs can recline now. Buying the tickets online is easy. However the time it takes to verify them from your phone is too long. Snacks are simple in choices and prices are acceptable. People are friendly and helpful. They have places to sit and wait for your movie. The place is clean and neat.
Marvelous venue,a jewel in the Mid City Mall. No huge crowds, all around great theatre. Movies within walking distance of dozens of restaurants/coffee & tea shops!
My favorite theater by far. Its always clean and quiet. The staff is courteous.
A movie on The Big Screen says it all. Good service, plush chairs and popcorn and you’re there already.
They have the best chairs
Our most favorite theater! Comfy seats but hurry and buy tickets or they will sell out...FAST!
Me and my sisters went to the movies to watch the new joker movie that played at 9:55, after the movie a male staff member came into the woman’s bathroom and told us to get out then when my sister was walking out of the building he was being rude and cursing at her and telling her to get out, then when he passed by our car he proceeded to gag at us and yell at us while he was walking to his car.usually we have a good experience at that movie theater but this time wasn’t as good
Nice seat and big screens
My favorite little hideout! Been going here for years, cheaper than most theaters, comfortable seating, friendly service and clean bathrooms! Would give it 10 stars if I could.
This theater was clean, young friendly workers and comfortable, reclining seating. The cheap ticket prices are a bonus! Love going here with the kids and husband.
Half priced tickets on Tuesdays and really good snacks. Also the parking is usually not bad and the inside bar is well priced. They also run a good mix between indie and main stream movies. This is my favorite place to watch a movie in Louisville!
First time going here and its very nice the ticket prices are great it's very clean and the seats recline all the way back. It's the best kept secret movie theater in Louisville i should have been going here years ago
A great smaller theater which screens both major first-run features and an array of more off-beat films, including foreign and art-house selections. Comfortable seating and basic but well-stocked concessions, with a new wine bar at the secondary concession stand. Staff is always friendly and helpful, and theaters and restrooms are always sparkling clean.
They have made good improvements- reclining chairs, and a bar for example. Their ticket and concession stand prices are still affordable. This has become our favorite theater!
Nice place, wasn't crowded
Awesome venue. Seats are very comfortable and well-spaced. They recline, which is a huge plus. Concessions are a little expensive but I guess that's just how theaters in the big cities are. Had a great time, will definitely come back when I get a chance.
My favorite theater in town. It's clean, usually has some unique movies that other theaters won't play, and it's affordable. They have small theaters with the comfy reclining seats so the atmosphere feels just a little bit more cozy.
What a great neighborhood theater... even better now with the new seating. And oh yeah there's even an adult drinks bar.
The area is not so great but the theater is fairly nice.
Great little theater. Low ticket prices. Some movies not that old.
Really dig this place. Has a neighborhood feel. Clean. Not expensive. They show mainstream and independent first run movies. Love the reclining seats.
Best place in town for Cinema.
Awesome theater! Wonderful reclining seats that you can reserve ahead of time. Reasonable prices for popcorn/drinks and beer (after 7pm). Tickets are well priced and Tuesday's are even cheaper. They do early releases for many movies on Thursday starting at 7pm. They also support movie pass! Overall an amazing theater that I highly recommend! Also, don't be afraid to get concessions here, it's really a fantastic theater and they make the majority of their income through concessions!
Good little theater showing a variety of films. Chocolates in bulk is a nice twist. There is a bar that I have never used, drinks are over-priced and who wants to get up and have to pee mid-movie? Additionally, employees are generally punk teens that can be rude, or maybe just not trained in proper customer service.
Great pop corn.
Love their new comfortable seats
Great place for a movie with popcorn. Very comfortable reclining chairs. One of the best small places in Louisville to watch a movie.
Seats were very comfortable. Theatre was quite cold, wish I brought a jacket.
I nearly always go to see movies at Baxter. The reclining chairs are soooo comfortable! Concessions are tasty. Such a great neighborhood theater.
I usually love going to this theater all the time. But today was not one of those days. The staff was rude, the manager or whatever he was made my boyfriend leave his backpack out in the lobby and then let several other teens waltz into the theater with their backpacks. I thought this was completely ridiculous. The manager was not polite and did not seem happy to sell us tickets. So whoever the manager and ticket person is on Tuesday needs to have a serious conversation about how to actually be nice and courteous to guests and customers.
Love the reclining chairs, the space between rows, and the theatre was very clean.
Not the best theater choice of the area, but since the remodel, it's not a bad choice. They have nice reclining seats. The seating area and screen are smaller than alot of the newer theaters. Lower admission price. I've also learned that they do midnight showings of old movies as well as live ballet and plays.
Luv tha seating arrangements very cozy
Nice clean theatre. Comfy seats
Went here to watch you story 4 with our daughter for her first movie in a theater. Prices was reasonable.
Went to see Rocketman, great movie! Seats were comfy. Not too crowded on a Sat. afternoon. The theater was clean. Got a big tub of popcorn & it was refillable! We like the Baxter Theaters.
I go to the value market there it's wonderful I haven't been to the movie theater there, but they receive lots of traffic.
Awesome place to see a movie!
Nothing fancy, nice and clean.
The manager John is awesome. CilverLeafII and flackoproductions were able to film a scene for upcoming video featuring local artists. The whole staff was inviting and plesant. Thank you theater crew
The seats are super comfy. It's hard to stay awake in this theater.
Baxter Avenue is my favorite theater in town. It doesn't have as many screens as some of the bigger theaters but it still plays all the big films that get released and is sometimes selected as a special release theater for other films. They have cheap seat Tuesdays but regular tickets aren't expensive anyway. Snacks are cheaper than at other theaters and they have the fancy recliner chairs in all theaters. They also have a bar! Occasionally the theater will do special screenings of old films, classic films, etc. It's always clean and the staff is always super nice but they also have ticket kiosks if you're not a fan of human interaction.
Felt like I was in my childhood theatre
Small and cozy. The updated seats are nice, but the picture quality could be improved.
Spacious theatre and seating. Ideal for a date or couple outing. Low key upscaled mature guest. I found my new movie theater here
Bolshoi BALLET! LIVE Streaming From Russia, "The Golden Age " What better way to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon! !! Just Fabulous! Ballets are not for everyone, but go ahead try it! $25.00 take there on a 3 hours Journey. No its not a movie! IT'S BALLET ON THE STAGE LIVE!
My uncle saw a rat and their food concession stand doesn't have a wide variety but overall great experience and I would go back a second time
Loved! It! The reclining chairs at wonderful...makes you feel like you're at home.
It was a wonderful place to go to the movies I enjoyed it
My husband and I went to the cedar one time and watched the scary movie lights out we enjoy it we have popcorn and overpriced sodas LOL but we had a very nice time and will go back one day I recommend this theater we had a nice time
Great theater. Smaller and not usually too crowded! Affordable, not like the village 8, but still good. Great place to go to see a new movie!
My husband and I are not recliner people, but we're getting used to it. We're getting to where we like them.
It's an ok theater. Nothing wrong just not as nice as others in town.
Love this movie theater. Big comfortable reclining seats.
Comfortable seats. Snacks. Close by.
Nice place for date nite
Was good.
Ticket taker was very rude act like it was a hassle just to talk to me no wonder nobody wants to go to the movies anymore that’s why you’re going to go out of business in five years
Cool... you need a sweater and every theater.
This theaters are lot affordable than Cinemark, and they also have comfortable recliner seats. If you are looking support local businesses in Louisville, do watch your movies here. You may not get the plethora of options, but this place is affordable, clean and comfortable. And you will be investing in local business which improves the local economy.
Newly updated and super friendly staff.
Enjoyed Lion king with my family
Pricey concession stand, great reclining seats
Baxter Ave is a really good movie theatre and you get to support local business while doing it! Definitely will choose baxter over any other theatre for first-run movies.
New renovation is great. Perfect small theatre with good picture quality.
Great reclining seats. Just lie back, relax and enjoy the movie
Great neighborhood theater, big comfortable lounge chairs, fresh popcorn and the occasional art film.
Not clean at all, the seats that the cinemark st matthews theater are a lot more comfortable. The popcorn here is cheap and terrible
Other than needing a warming blanket. It was great
Great theater. But... it’s perplexing to me that your not able to get beer or certain things at the concession stand after 7:00 other than the weekends. Movie theaters make money on concessions but apparently this place doesn’t mind. Great place, and I’ll continue to go, but if you want to make more money and please costumers then let them have access to everything you have to offer till at least for the 9 o’clock shows! I’m here at 730 and I can’t get a hotdog or a beer lol!
I love this theater because the prices are reasonable, they have a Tuesday matinee special, the concessions are fresh and cheaper than the big chains, and the crowd skews older/quieter. Plus they have a bar! The only thing I dislike is that the reserved seating isn't universal across the auditoriums, or at least it wasn't as of my last visit seeing Midsommar in June. So sometimes you get to pick your seat and other times you choose when you enter the auditorium. I'm sure there's a reason and it's too minor an issue to complain about, but it would be nice if it was universal. The seats are great though, and they recline so it's extremely spacious and comfortable. I also love that, unlike the big chains, I don't have to sit through 35 minutes of advertising to watch the movie. A brief selection of relevant trailers and the show starts. It's great!
Seats are limited. Purchase tickets in advance if it's a movie that you think is going to sell out. This is my go to place when I want to avoid the crowd and take in decent movie
The theaters still looks almost new after more than 20 years, have some of the nicest reclining seats in each screen that you will find, and generally very helpful staff when you need assistance. **Updated to drop a star**. Everything I've stated above is absolutely holding true but as someone that at least for the time being that has to use a power wheelchair where I cannot open metal heavy doors on my own I've really begun to realize that Baxter Avenue theatres is not very handicap friendly. despite the theater being open for the 20 plus years and being a wonderful working theater inside and out they do not have any automatic. Oh, not a single one that you can press a button to open it so you as someone in a wheelchair or slow-moving in a walker or cane can get in. I always have to either wait for another patron to go into the theater and ask if they would mind holding the door open for me to get into the theater or do the same when I'm leaving the theater or ask an employee that maybe nearby to get the door for me. It may not be legally required to have an automatic handicap accessible door at Baxter Avenue theatres but I really think it's something that they should invest in as it would make for a much more pleasant experience for those with mobility issues such as myself as I often times will go to the movie solo so have no one with me that can open the door like that. By comparison there is an automatic door like the one I've described at both the front and back entrance of mid city mall where you press the button and the door opens up and you can then walk or roll through it that is the type of door that I believe Baxter Avenue should invest in.
I love the atmosphere of this theater because it’s so laid back and welcoming. It’s even better now that they have reclining seats, and this is always my go to theater.
Great sound! Seats are very comfortable but the prices are a bit much on snacks
Love this movie theater! The seats and popcorn! It's amazing in there!
Seats are super comfy, theater is always clean, and staff are very friendly!!
Awesome Theatre and Friendly Staff
Nice seats, chill environment. Bring a hoodie, it'll probably be cold.
Pretty smooth, smaller than other theaters, small, young staff.
Great highlands theater, reasonable price, great seating.
Little high for a day time show won't be back
I love it here.. great people work there and help you with anything you need
Awesome as always... comfortable, temperature was ok and I enjoyed the experience!
My favorite movie house. Perfect size, incredibly comfortable seats, a nice little bar and Always friendly staff. And great prices.
Always decently priced. You can actually get popcorn and a drink without cashing out your 401k . But they do sell out (or run low) of popular movies fast because I feel their nice new chairs have decreased the number of seats (maybe?) I hope they don’t increase their prices ridiculously like every other theater around the Louisville area.
It was my first time in this theater and I was very comfortable. I will vist again.
Great place with awesome lounge chair seats.
Love this place. Reclining chairs,
Great service. Good prices. Best seats in town
Baxter is my favorite theatre in Louisville for sure. The seats are fantastic, the place is clean, and the staff is nice.
For some reason my daughter loves this theater
Terrific movie theater. The only one worth a fig in Louisville. Made even better since they've added leather recliners and a full bar!
Mediocre. Not the worst.
The prices are very reasonable and they have the most comfortable seats there now They recline back without you bothering the people behind you Awesome
Comfortable seats, clean theater, friendly staff, and good movies!
I saw avengers endgame here on Sunday April 28th. The volume was low the entire movie to where some lines couldn't be made out. Then during the last battle the whole screen went blank for about five minutes. Terrible experience. Won't be seeing any more movies here.
I love this theater, but I always freeze with cold air literally blowing down from above. Being physically uncomfortable sort of ruins a movie... And the new seats are great, but people keep one between them & friends, so it's hard to find seating together. Scoot in, people!
Always a great place to see a movie. Make sure you get there early to get a good seat.
The renovations here are amazing! The seats are super comfortable with foot rests and the ability to lean back. Nice snack options and the overall cost is not overly outrageous. Can't wait for our next date night here!!
It's the movie theater I always go to. They have stranger movies than some of the other theaters in town which I like. The staff are super friendly and always willing to help or chat. The restrooms are always clean. And the best bonus of all is that they now serve alcoholic beverages including wine. And they have the amazing new climbing chairs which I happen to love. Sometimes they have some great events at this Baxter theater as well.
Enjoy the movies with my wife and daughter it's close to the house very clean very customer-friendly.
As a vertically challenged person I ABSOLUTELY love the reclining seats!!! Now I am comfortable throughout the movie and never is my view blocked..and people can walk past me without my having to make room. Also love convenience to my home and Value Market !
Since they recliners were added it has just solidified this theatre as the best in Louisville! It feels so neighborhoody and delightful! Everytime I come here I feel as if I were in my own personal home theatre, of course this screen and sound system would blow mine away. But it makes me feel like home! I just love this place!!!
Personally I think it's a great theatre, Comfortable seating, clean, good prices on matinee daily, an Tuesdays admission is 5.75? Small attendance on days I've went. As with most theatre's expect to file bankruptcy should you frequent the snack bar other than that, it's a nice 2 he getaway.
The Baxter is our go-to for great movies! The ticket prices and concession prices are great! And we love the reclining chairs in the theaters! I have been a dedicated customer since Baxter open and recommend it to anyone! We even drive from Jeffersonville, Indiana to see our movies at Baxter!
Love this theater! The seats are nice and comfy, and the environment is always chill.
Always clean, always smiling staff members
I love it here and the workers are every nice and the movies are great and Price great as well on everything and got Restaurants around in a grocery store ... you can do everything you need in one place
Love this theater. It may be dated, but prices are good, luxury lounge chairs, and the bar serves great drinks. I think it is the best theater in Louisville.
Love them
Loved it.. Reclining seats and alcohol
Beat seats. Best atmosphere. Great snack bar and beer, liquor, and wine bar.
Our favorite theater in Louisville. Good movie selection, comfortable atmosphere, clean. Friendly staff
Honest employees. I lost my wallet in the theater. The cleanup people found it and turned it in. Amen
I Only gave it 4 out of 5 stars because it rarely ever shows new movies. It seem like every other movie theater in has new & exciting movies but Baxter will constantly play the same movies to death & then add ONE new & recent movie way after it’s been out for a while.
Comfortable recline chairs! Small but great atmosphere!
Love the reclining seats! Makes watching the movies a lot more enjoyable! Been on two dates here and we've enjoyed it both times. Food/snacks are a bit pricey but it's a movie theatre, so it's expected.
Awesome seating and very reasonable concessions
Love this theater. The entire facility is clean and inviting. In the theater there are comfy, reclining, seats (although I do wish they were heated since it's freezing in there) and the prices are reasonable. The staff is super friendly and helpful. There's also a kiosk where you can purchase tickets if you have a debit/credit card so you don't have to stand in line. I didn't visit the concession stand so I don't have a review for it. The movie I intended to watch (Judy) was sold out, it was it's opening night though
Nice place to catch a movie nice little movie theater. I like it better then big places & its cheaper
Haven't been in a long time. Very cozy place
One of my favorite theaters in lead country. Bargain Tuesdays are wonderful. The seating is amazing the popcorn is great the theater is super clean. Only issue is on weekends and bargain Tuesdays there is no place to park.
Please teach your young employees to be polite to people. Seems to be an ongoing problem on Tuesdays at your business. Especially young blond lady named Kari taking ticket stubs. As a 39 year old disabled veteran I should not have to put up with a young lady dismissing me when I ask a polite question. Not once, but twice. Please also enforce your policies with all customers.
Ticket prices were reasonable. "Easy chair" seating was an unexpected, awesome, comfortable bonus!
