Here you will see all the opinions of people who buy the services and products of AMC Newport On The Levee 20 (Movie Theater) in the state of Kentucky.
At present the business receives a rating of 4.2 over 5 and that score has been calculated on 2196 reviews.
You may have noticed that its rating is quite positive, and it's founded on a high number of reviews, so we may say that the valuation is very accurate. If there are many people who bothered to value when they are pleased, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to give opinions when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Movie Theater is included in the category of Movie theater.
Clean comfortable was told of special offer that saved is $5 on popcorn
Great time at the movie it was a pricey place but I enjoyed it all the same
Theaters could be a little cleaner. The glass between rows is always covered in smudges, popcorn messes on seats and on floor around seats. The Dolby theater is the best
Regal in wilder is better, but the levee is a fun place to hang out and it's a nice theatre to go to with friends
Paid $ 29 for 2 people for a IMAX movie that was no different than the regular movie for $12 at the AMC in my home town in Kokomo IN. RIP OFF! QUITE
It's awesome I just seen a movie great screening and at night is a good time to take photos of it
The seats were comfortable. That's about the only positive thing I can say. It was like a damn jungle. People in the front row were taking flashing selfies all through the movie. Another group was playing the clapping game where each of them would have to clap louder than the previous. Someone to the side turned on a strobe light on their phone. People were talking across the theater. I saw multiple people get up to complain. Each time an usher would come in and look around for about 15 seconds then leave. During this time it would be silent. After they left, which was just about immediately, the entire theater would crack up. AMC in general seems to be okay. This one would be better off as a smoking crater in the ground.
Tickets are double the price they are at the Hamilton Arc yet all the machines broken, no butter, no soda
Too many employees are calling off. They need to train people the right way. AMC needs to be more of a hands from corporate not just clueless managers. I don't like micro-managing, but this place needs it.
Went to this theater to see a movie with my girlfriend and both the worker behind the ticket counter and the concession stand were not very pleasant or helpful. Even asking them simple questions they didn’t care to give accurate answers. We needed up buying larger sizes because the concession worker didn’t tell us there was a smaller size even after asking what the smallest size was.
Sure has gone downhill! Went for a matinee absolutely nobody Manning the ticket booths and the ticket machines on the first level don't work so we spent 5 minutes trying to get them to work then finally, totally frustrated, we go upstairs where they say "oh yeah the machine don't work very often." you think the first show of the day at 1:30 they'd have popcorn popped but nooooo..... just a bunch of dead kernals in the bottom of a vat. Crazy! Hope weekends are better. Looks like Cine-Mark will be our go-to. Unfortunately the movie we wanted to see wasn't there.
Had an awesome time bowling and I'll see Aladdin again. However I do think they should have an adult section at the movie theater.
Great place, great food, just pricey
The theater is pretty nice but it's starting to lack the more modern offerings of other theaters. I much prefer Cinemark in Florence. Also, inside of the levee shopping area is a ghost town. All of the businesses are gone and it feels weird.
Besides the overpriced small portions of food... the setting and employees are cool. Big UPs!
Have been to three movies in the IMAX theater the past few months and each time it was never cleaned. Popcorn, drinks, and garbage everywhere! Seats are old and super worn out or broken. Will be going the Rave in Florence or Regal in Wilder. Much cleaner and well taken care of.
Rude employees. From the ticket booth to the food court. Dirty. Bathrooms smelled horrible and I checked all stalls and noone had changed the box for used feminine products. Just raunchy.
The place was great I loved the handicap seats at the AMC theater very comfortable recliners. Was there on vacation with my family my husband and I went to the movies while they went to the aquarium.
Just came back from "Avengers: Endgame" and I recommend going to see it in IMAX & Dolby Cinema. Worth your money. Everything was awesome and just a great time. Best theater around (if not one of them).
Clean movie theater, nice comfy recliners, big screen. Buying tickets at the theater is a slow process...suggest buying online at the theater's webpage. Very easy, we bought ours while in line and then skipped ahead of everyone!
Great theatre to watch a movie. Fresh popcorn, carbonated soda, and best of all reclining seats that are comfortable. The price was about 40 dollars with tickets, large popcorn, two large drinks, and cruchables candy.
Enjoyed going for a movie. But when I validated my parking the lady keep my tickets after the movie how rude. I collect my tickets to the movies I have been to and who I have seen it with.
Great place to see a movie. Good restaurants and decent shops
Highly recommend anyone getting a membership here if you go to the movies more than 2x's in a year. Their rewards are amazing! Food and tickets can be pricey but once again you can use rewards money for payment. Before leaving to go back to your car stop in at the info desk and give them a paper copy of your movie ticket, your parking will only cost you $2.50.
The popcorn was a lot of kernels and the serve yourself butter does allow you to layer your butter.
Its ok because, its near me thats the only thing good about this theater. Its usually dirty and not cleaned after the showing. I go to late showing on the weekend and they will have the bar closed, only on concession personnel working. When the movie is over there is no one to be found if you need help. I have not had one pleasant experience here.
I am so glad that they finally remodeled!! Love the leather recline seats. They recline further then the Oakley Cinemas.
Dolby Digital Theater is the best way to watch a movie.
So miserably hot in Theatre had to leave mid movie. Too pricey for what you gey.
Went to the Dolby digital. The sound and seating were amazing. The picture crisp and clear and huge! Awesome for action movies!
*********DO NOT GO TO THIS THEATER********* Wish I could give 0 stars. I am writing this with tears running down my face. My 9 year old son is standing next to me also crying. We were at an afternoon movie that was packed, seeing the Avengers: Endgame. We had got our tickets a month in advance and our whole family had been looking forward to going. My husband, my daughter, my son and I went out and bought Marvel t-shirts especially for the movie. 20 minutes into the movie we were asked to leave. Apparently because my husband who has heavy breathing because he is overweight was breathing too loud for the man next to him. The man never said anything to us either. I will NEVER go to this movie theater ever again! We might be just one little family but, you can bet whenever we are invited to go a movie with any of our friends or family we WILL NOT be going to AMC. After we were extorted out by someone, I wanted to talk to the manager. The lady who escorted my family and I out said she was the manager but, I could speak to the GM. He came over to us and began to tell us that the man that was sitting next to my husband had paid to enjoy a movie and my husband's breathing disrupted his movie experience. Well, we too had paid to see the same movie.(1 man & his date vs a family of 4) My husband even suggested that he sit in the middle, away from the gentleman next to him. So he was not bothering him. They said no, we have to leave. We also knew going to see such a anticipated movie, on opening weekend, that had been sold out for two week, we were going to be in a full theater and there is a possibility that we would have some inconveniences. Instead of my son having a enjoyable experience and a good memory with his Mother, Father and Sister seeing his favorite superheroes, he now has a bad memory of the whole thing. *Also, the lady that was with the man next to my husband was recording the movie and when talking to the GM I told him this, he told me we aren't talking about her we are talking about you. Which I am sure is why they were upset about my husband's breathing.
We saw Toy Story 4 on the 4th of July. The theater was all to ourselves. Popcorn was delicious, seats were comfortable.
Wish there more kid friendly affordable options so we would be inclined to stay longer and be return visitors
Took my daughter and two oldest granddaughters here to see toy story 4. Was pretty cool seating arrangement they have. You could lay back and watch the show as if you were at home, could even order something to eat... Would definitely visit again. Two thumbs up
Nice theater clean. Of course snack bar pricey but we'll worth it. Nice to see some movies in the theater. Adds a good feeling.
Well.. where do I start. First, we went to see Avengers Endgame with the extra scenes (we saw the original Endgame the first day it came out) and another movie played, the wrong movie, and well the movie ended and no extra scenes. Then MICE. Mice running up and down the stairs- discusting. Bothered me the entire time. Would not go again
Love this area! Theater very nice and clean!
Love the theater, great concessions, love the A-list benefits
I like this location because of the seating and because it's so close to the river. You can have a wonderful dare night here
Not impressed 2 say the least. Had 2 pick our seats and according to the ticket counter there were only about 6 seats left. Got into the movie and less than half full. Movie (They will not grow old) had a 3D version or digital. Ours was suppose to be digital. Film starts and they r playing the 3D version. Takes about 20 minutes 2 get the right version started and then start the film about 40 minutes into it. Takes another 15 minutes to get it restarted and it starts at the beginning. What was suppose to b a 2 hr movie took almost 3 hrs.
I love to go watch movies on the levee, it's fun
Very high class place, friendly but quite pricey.
$15 for popcorn and a drink on top of $20 for tickets for me and my son? I'll take a pass and waste my money elsewhere.
Love going there wit my kids to watch movies
Fast lines. Food is way too expensive. More than other local theaters. Theater clean and comfortable
Great place. Very comfortable I love being able to relax, recline, while i watch a movie.
Very nice theater.
Love the fact that I can see movies for $5 on Tues. Comfy chairs, ahhh, not crowded during the afternoon. Shhhh! Let's keep that a secret between us. However, the rest of the place is like a ghost town. Hopefully the renovation will have something for everyone. Layout is
Great place to catch a movie, recliners are a nice addition since my last visit
Amazing theater, comfortable seats, only problem is concession price is way to much, 60 dollars for 2 popcorns, and 3 or 4 drinks
Great place! Clean and modern. Comfy lounge reclining chairs, amazing screens, sound and accommodations. Very accessible with elevator access, handicap seating, bathrooms and well lit paths as well. At the movie theater, the customer service staff will validate your parking in the garage for a big discount on your parking expense with your movie ticket stub.
Quick and easy to order online which makes checking in even faster although they should have dedicated lines for online ticket holders because I did have to wait behind people that were buying tickets to redeem my QR Code. I think we all know AMC Theatres are famous for amazing sound, amazing picture and really comfortable chairs; this location offers all of these. Employees were friendly, and of course the snacks and treats were amazing. I love coming here to watch movies and will come back again.
It's amazing and me and my friends love going to it
The concession area is consistently dirty, the staff are ill informed and the restrooms (mens) have been completely out of soap twice.
It was nice...I did notice 2 things. We went to the last showing of Anna, we could hear the movie in the next theaters which has never happened before. The other thing was the garbage cans were overflowing with trash, however we were the last show so maybe they were working on cleaning it up.
This was my first time to this theater, and I wasn't very impressed. It's inside a mall-type building and you have to pay for parking. As far as I could tell, the theater offered no vouchers or discounts towards the parking. The guy working the concession stand gave me the remnants of what popcorn was left. It didn't even fill the container. Theaters make enough off popcorn, that they can keep it filled and fresh until close.
I remember back in the day, visiting as a child when they had their old folding seats. I would have given them 5 stars even back then. This place has always been great, had good concessions, decent rewards programs, and excellend audio/visual systems. They only get better every year.
Great theatre. Very clean. Reclining seats. Many drink options, including a bar. Friendly staff.
Always clean, well staffed, and friendly. The bar was an awesome addition, the remodeled theaters and seats are significantly better and spaced well.
AMC app made it very convenient to buy and redeem tickets. Packed Friday night meant a long line at the concession stand. Nice theatre seating. Staff could have cleaned up better around us beforehand. Only a couple sinks in the men's restroom put out water. Paper towel dispenser wasn't working. Still, great theatre experience.
Quality of previews were bad, but they fixed it before the film started. The floor was a mess, but The Avengers: Endgame was showing so that was probably why. I wish employees could have periodically came in and made sure everything was all good because there was a kid talking on his cell for about 35 minutes, and every employee I could talk to was busy with the Endgame crowd. Not taking off points for that though, just the floor and the seat were dirty and sticky. Otherwise, I always have a good time here and I will return soon!
This place is clean. Great place
The seat were great, customer service was great. The only issue we had was the drink machines tasted horrible
Definitely and okay experience it was quiet when I went not really many people there I guess with the new ownership I'm hoping that they bring it back to where it used to be with a lots of people
Movie has not even started yet and this theater was not cleaned AT ALL after the last showing. We walked into a nasty mess on the ground. Cup lids on our seat along with broken 3d glasses(didn't think to get a picture of all that). This will be a last. This place has really gone down hill and it shows. Update...said something to someone and they came in right at the start to sweep and clean up. But really... This should be done before people are sitting in there for the movie they paid good money to watch. And not having workers sweeping all around you with the huge vacuum cleaners.
Excellent theater but no clear signs for parking
Wonderful, reclining seats. No obstructions to the view of the movie from people in front.
Comfortable theater, though was not cleaned. They were vacuuming 10 minutes before the movie started
There was a RAT in our theater. The movie started at 950 we went inside at 930 they NEVER CLEANEDfrom the 705 show. Its definitely not what it use to be.
It was amazing they give great service
Nice auditoriums. Food is expensive at theatre. Lots of surrounding stores closing up.
Loved the electric recliners and spaced out stadium seating. My favorite movie theater! Love to hit Gameworks on way in/out
One of my fave places. Love to get away here.
I went here for They Shall Not Grow Old. It was supposed to be in 2D but the 3D version was played. I told them and they said it looked fine and gave me a free pass. Never coming back
Saw Endgame in the Dolby theater and the audio was amazing. Combined with the huge reclining leather seats, it was almost worth $15 a ticket and grossly overpriced snacks. It's $30 to see a movie and get a large popcorn and drink.
Power went out twice during our Muppet movie. Smh
Semi decent clean bathrooms. Clean theater. Not to hot not to cold.
Across the Ohio River. Ample parking space. Many shopping and eating outlets. More than 12 movie screens with self service available for ticket booking. There is a big aquarium here. Actually a good place for capturing some nice photos
It was crowded but the movie was fantastic! I saw the Joker
Was not a fan. Too many previews. 35mins worth. Consessions need work
As large of a crowd this theater attracts, I am not pleased with the level of cleanliness. While I don't mind on service, it's the little things like the messy countertops when getting popcorn that haven't been cleaned since closing the night before, or the empty bins with scraps staining the entire thing. I definitely wouldn't want to be pulling out any condiments from those areas. While I can understand the dropped kernel or two, the bathrooms are just in poor shape all the time. I went here before the seats of the theater were updated and I'm sure with negligence and normal wear and tear, this theater will go back to the shape it was in before the remodel. I definitely prefer the Cinemark over this, and my above all is Marcus theater, AMC is definitely a giant, but their standards should be kept a little better. Probably will come again just for convenience of location, but out of reluctance.
Italian fest was amazing, the food, entertainment for kids and adults.
Comfortable seats, okay prices.
1.Movie start time said 9pm ...Instead we were flooded with commercial after commercial...it is now 9:17 pm and the movie has yet to begin...I paid nearly $40 for myself and my kids..people come to the movies to escape commercials.. 2. Theater looked as if it had not been cleaned since the beginning of the day...Had greasy finger prints on all the arm rests from people eating popcorn and then touching the arm rest...greasy and disgusting ....They need to send in a person or persons between movies and sanitize wipe down the arm rests...people can and I am sure, have gotten sick from this...not a good experiance tonight..hope my kids dont get I'll...
This is my favorite place to see movies. I go often enough that the staff recognizes me and some know me by name. Theater is always clean, staff is friendly, and I’ve never run into any issues with service.
It wasn't as expensive to enjoy a movie I have been waiting to see
Our family loves the AMC theatre. On Christmas Day we saw the movie "Bumblebee" at this theatre! Great customer service, clean, lively.
This was a joke. The tickets prepurchased for US and the showing was cancelled we had to move to different theater where seats were not as nice. We we're supposed to get couchers but never did, while others did. The person helping us had no idea what she was doing. What a joke!
It was filthy. And did not have the movie exclusive a day after the movie came out. The main reason I went to the movies
Lounging chairs are nice.
It's an AMC movie theater. Not sure what else there is to say about it, there are a million of them
Newport on the levee is such a disappointment. So many empty shops mothingg to do there
Need more cashiers and self-serve ticket machines weren't working. But the rest of the experience was great!
Good theater with good Dolby exoerience
Great theater with an amazing IMAX experience in certain theaters. Saw Avengers: Endgame here on opening night and getting in and finding my seat was very easy and the sound and visuals were top notch. I will be back for other big movie premieres!
Absolutely filthy... nothing has been wiped down in months.
Quite expensive, but the recent upgrades in the theater are excellent. Most notable are the spacious reclining seats.
This is a really great theater with both IMAX and Dolby Completely Captivating theaters. Personally I prefer the Dolby theater for its recliners and powerful audio setup. The prices are exactly as you would expect for a mainstream movie theater so you should anticipate paying around $10+ per ticket depending on whether or not you want to take advantage of the IMAX or Dolby screens. The concessions are as expensive as any other movie theater which is fairly common nowadays considering it's where they make the bulk of their profits. The staff has always been friendly and enthusiastic when I've gone.
Largest selection and best seating options near downtown - also the most expensive. The theaters themselves are nice, but the self check kiosk are hot garbage. I have a laptop running Windows XP that blows that thing out of the water. Staff is on par with any movie theater staff - aloof at best. They have freestyle coke machines but the flavor is...idk, off? Speaking of concessions - I hope you have a line of credit. It’s $8 for a hot dog
Best theater around Newport. Wish I lived closer to go more often.
I've been going to this movie theater since I was a kid! There in the middle of a big remodeling of the entire complex, but this is still such a great place to see the newest films! Whether to early release or first screen films, this place caters to all movies! If you're looking to see a good flick and you're in the area, stop by Newport on the levee and check out the AMC theater!
Over priced.. The i max was no different than reg movie that noticed.. The food was priced like it was gourmet food( not!!!) They wont stay in business long at the prices they charge.. First and last time there.. If you go take your (big purse )... Head to dollar store first... Lol..
Located on 4th floor. Pay for parking, expensive concessions
Not going there anymore the chances that have been made as of late have destroyed the experience. Even the nacho cheese is bad now
The facilities are nice and it's close to downtown Cincinnati
Was a great trip, a little messy from passed movies. But otherwise great
Love this theater. Tickets are priced well within the area. If you do a matinee it is a steal. Pretty much 2 for 1 pricing. All theaters have recliners. Concessions are expensive as at most places. But there is an "adult" concession too
Love seeing movies here. Best theater in NKY.
The movie theater is still going strong. The restaurants are also. The actual mall part has sort of died, but it also has the arcade gaming spot I forget the name right now, but it’s still a great spot to enjoy a night out with friends, or to have a nice date night with a significant other
Nice theater. Great town center. Cool little area.
Very nice theater. Nice decor and cleanly. However the reclining seats weren't very nice. The bottom half didn't go all the way up/become straight. They only raised half way up. But other than that it was a really nice theater.
Really nice movie theater very clean the seats recline so I am very comfortable I feel like I'm in my own living room. The restroom was very clean surprisingly that's usually a problem I have at movie theaters. The only problem I have is with the popcorn I wish they had a way to make the popcorn fresh everytime they serve it. If I'm going to pay 10 dollars for popcorn I don't want the popcorn that been sitting for hours
No popcorn no pretzels. We did go to the late showing but that was ridiculous. They had shut down early so they can clean up and leaving us movie goers without popcorn or pretzels not to happy and the kid did not seam to care. We went to toy story 4 the 1050 showing june 29 Saturday. Never had a problem before but could be rethinking of going here next time if this is how that going to be.
Me and my granddaughter love this place!
Nice theater to see a movie. They have remodeled the theater to include reclining seats. There aren't as many open seats, but it is more relaxing. The Dolby Theater is an amazing experience. It will blow you away. The bass vibrates so much I had to get up twice to go to the bathroom. Plenty of free popcorn on the floor too. Mmm buttery.
Really comfortable seating and clean theaters. The self serve popcorn station is a huge plus if you like a lot of butter! Beautiful view of Cincinnati just outside of the building.
This is the second time in a month and a half my group had to leave because they said the bad weather caused a power outage! Of course they gave us a pass for another time and refunded for concessions but didn't take into account the parking fee or our wasted time and gas. We were told my 2 different people it had happened to them previously also!
Nice, but they didnt clean up from the movie before us
The movie was great, seats are very comfy. The only downfall was that the concession stand wait time was about 15 minutes for a pretzel and nachos. And to add to that, the $15 pretzel was still frozen in the middle. Guess that is what we get for going on Thanksgiving Day!!
We were at the movies tonight 3/9/19 watching Glass at 5:30pm EST in theater 16 (I think). It was a smaller theater towards the back of the hallway. More isolated than the rest of the theatres which made this occurrence all the more threatening. There was a large group of teenagers that snuck into the movie about half way through. They were loud, disruptive and intimidating. My fiancé left the movie to go and find a manager and security for assistance. He was met with indifference and derision. He was brave enough to come back into the theater and ask the large group of kids to leave (all by himself). By the grace of god, they left without incident, probably because there were other people in the theater with us (but not many). It could have gone really wrong. Thank goodness it didn’t. The group of troublemakers came back in a few minutes later but left after causing more disruption after a few minutes. Luckily I asked my fiancé to not get involved this time. When the movie was over and as we were leaving, us and 3 other couples went up to the service desk and asked to speak to the manager because the teenagers were still in the hallway causing a ruckus and intimidating people. The manager was rude, disrespectful and unhelpful. She said and I quote “oh we are not doing this” to us and the other couples. She said her security people walk around and try to monitor the theater and that there is nothing she could do. We left, our night ruined. We will never return to the AMC Newport on the Levee Theatres again. People need to know how the theater is being managed. They are unsafe and managed poorly by unprofessional people. The AMC Newport on the Levee theater is unsafe. Stay away.
The seats are very nice, first theater I been in that has touch screen reclining seats. It was clean and very nice. Food is about same price as every other theater, slow for pizza took most 20 minutes and the pizza wasn't even that good. In my opinion a $5 one at LC are better than the $8 small one here. So huge disappointment to wait that long for the cardboard pizza.
Must go back great location.
Great movie experience. They offer movies for sensory sensitive people. That is an awesome community service.
I will never visit this theater again. My seats were greasy with butter and popcorn around the floor. It wasn't cleaned after the last movie. There were loud teenagers the whole movie that got on my nerves. Concession stand was a whole hot mess. But there were a lot of movies showing, that's 1 good thing.
I don't see many movies but found the seating comfortable and variety of food and drinks
Great movie theater if you want to see a movie and want a great experience go here best staff best tasting pop corn and food best screens to watch a movie and the best selection of movies
I keep reading reviews and have noticed that I am not the only one that has noticed all the MICE. My friend and I were distracted by these mice running by our feet CONSTANTLY during the movie. Do not keep any of your belongings on the ground folks. Other than that, everything was perfectly fine.
I like the AMC, but it's not my preferred theatre in the area. Parking is in either the levee parking garage or parking metres on nearby streets. Tickets are priced the same as every other theatre in the area. Same with concessions. Why did I rate it 4*? The entrance to the theatre itself. I'm *terrified* of heights, and of course all my friends love going to this particular theatre, because levee. The elevator you take up to the theatre level spits you out on a third story catwalk with glass railings, which you then have to walk to get to the entrance to the theatre. It's terrifying and mildly disorienting every. single. time. I avoid the AMC for this reason- as well as the parking, which is usually pretty full because levee, and you also have to pay for it.
Movie was way too loud. Thin seats make you feel cramped
Very interesting place. Loved the reclining seats. Prices are a bit steap, but considering the location, I guess it was worth it.
You know it's a good movie theater but man oh man, the parking costs 5 bucks you have to go through the whole place. Everything is automated, they no one in the parking garage, no one selling ticktes, it's such a weird thing. This has nothing to do with AMC but seeing how much of Newport on the Levee has really died is weird. They really should have made that place wider instead of taller.
Something really needs done. Out of 4 trips we’ve had to beg for our seats we paid for twice because people go in movies they aren’t supposed to be in. Last night I paid $40 for 3 tickets and the snotty kids that took our place dirty our spot and refused to move until they seen other people were coming and it wasn’t going to work. Seriously sick of this place don’t know if I’ll be back.
The theater was too hot, I was uncomfortable for the length of the movie. It was also not very clean which added to my discomfort, but to be fair it was late Saturday night. This is a bit nitpicky but the backrest of the seat would squeak quite noticeably when I would try to adjust myself.
pretty nice theater with seats that recline and friendly staff overall.
Movies were dirty nasty rave in Florence is way better
I come here all the time. It’s a fine theater. But they are chronically understaffed during the week. Especially on Tuesdays, which is the discount day. It’s busier than normal, but staffing seems to be the same. Edit- turns out they are understaffed on the weekend too
Went Friday night to see a 9:10 movie popcorn was stale. The menu board showed popcorn, drink and a bonus sour gummies got popcorn drink no gummies asked person behind counter she informed me that promotion was over I stated that's not what your menu states she came back with we haven't had time to change it very rude. Then after the movie went to use the women's restroom it was dirty scared to touch anything. Management needs to step up. There are more movie theaters out there and more people see or get this kind of treatment word of mouth will close you down.
My biggest issue here is that we pay for the AMC Stubs Membership but the people working here rarely, if ever, actually acknowledge the stubs member line so it does virtually nothing for us when in line for tickets or in line for the snacks. It's nice though that you can validate your parking for q discounted fee when you have your movie stub!
Haven't been to this theater in years, and I thought to myself, "There's no way this place is still as much of a dump as it used to be." I'm here to report that I was right - it is so much worse than it ever was. The old Danbury Dollar Saver in Florence was way nicer and cleaner. We already have tickets for The Man Who Killed Don Quixote here, and after that, I'll never set foot in this dump again. The stairwell into the parking garage was cleaner than the hallways of the theater. The concession stand was out of everything, and to say the staff were rude, aloof, and off-putting would surely over-extend the meaning of those words.
My experience was awful when we arrived to our seats that I prepaid for they were disgusting popcorn was everywhere they left their food and beverages behind it was just horrendous. My tickets were $90 5 children 2 adults plus snacks I deserve a discount a movie half off something we had to wait for the cleaning crew to come 20 minutes almost missed the movie
Theaters make you feel like the movie is coming to life. Extraordinary.
Seats are not comfortable for a hour 1/2 + movie
Expensive as hell!!!! Still good tho
I always have a great experience at this AMC. I love the Newport area and the movie is good too. Comfy seats and good staff, that's all I can ask for!
Always a fun place to visit... dont forget to get your parking validated after the movie. You still have to pay about a buck fifty but it beats having to pay full price for parking!
Went to see a movie in IMAX had a great time would go again when I'm in town
Nice drink selection, comfortable seats.
Nice environment clean everyone friendly. A clean theater we observed We will return soon
I feel the same way about this place as I do any movie theater. I'm grateful for movie theaters because I love movies. But the complaints about this one are going to be the same as any other theater. Floors are usually sticky, prices are expensive, and the employees usually treat you like you're an inconvenience.
We went to see a movie in IMAX and I thought the seats were reclining, they are not.....they are, however, pretty comfortable. Bathroom and floors could be cleaner, but I did go on a Saturday night, so they probably had more traffic than usual.
Fun place to hang out by the river in the evenings.
We come here often because we have the AMC a-list rewards program, and it's the most convenient location. Regarding AMC as a company, I enjoy the theaters. The reclining seats are nice. The IMAX, 3D, and Dolby options come included with the rewards package I pay for. At this location however, I have had some rude customer service experiences. I never find the theaters or bathroom to be particularly clean. NEVER COME ON TUESDAYS. They offer discounted tickets on this day which is nice. If you can afford a regularly priced ticket though, it's worth the wait. There are never ushers in the theater by my experience. Yesterday we saw people openly recording the film we saw, children were talking loudly, and the couple next to us was having entire conversations.
Probably the most comfortable theater in the area, but isnt nearly as comfortable as the newer AMC theaters I've been to. The theater is on the upper levels so be prepared to hike some stairs or wait forever for one of the 2 elevators. Great location and easy parking
The movie I wanted to see was sold out...
The Imax theater was very nice. The seats were not that comfortable and you could see people using the back of the seats to rest their feet. The concession stand was fast and great service.
AMC Newport On The Levee has improved a lot since the last time I was there. The food choices are plentiful and different from the average theater. I normally eat nachos, but I tried something different. I ordered the mini corndogs. They make them (from frozen) while you wait and serve them with honey mustard. Nice and hot. Although not the best, they weren't too bad. Would I order them again? Yes. I also tried the black cherry icee... um.. I'm not a big fan of that. Won't order that again. Next time I'll try the pizza or the mac & cheese bowl. The seats in theater 10 are different also. Although they recline, they dont recline as much as other theater seats. The controls are on top of the armrest and you have to hold the button for a couple of seconds before they work. Because the controls dont light up until you hold the button for a few seconds, they are hard to find in the dark. At least they were comfortable. Try it for yourself.
Seats were nice (leather power recliners) and the theater was clean but we got carded for a rated R movie (??)
