Very dirty inside, the manager seated us in the wrong gheater initially almost causing us to miss the show. The ac was broken in the theater the movie was playing. Photo booth is broken and out of film. The concessions were packed when I came in and the manager was literally just walking between the 2 cashiers with his hands in his pockets looking over their shoulder each time they rang in something. He was also on his phone most of the time, I was 30 minutes early and love people watching. The manager is LAZY and is obviously running the place into the ground.

Great experience seeing the movie with my family. My only complaint is that during previews they turn off all the room lights but they turn on these dim lights over the audiences heads as soon as the movie starts. It was very frustrating until a good bit into the movie. Still plan to use this theater in the future. The tile on the front side exit looked a bit dirty but they also looked sort of understaffed.

First run movies are only $5, for a mantinee. However, the theater needs a complete overhaul! The ceiling tiles are loose and covered with water spots. Wallpaper in hallway is peeling. I stepped on fresh gum by my seat. This theater is very old and run down!

Friendly staff. Very well-meaning. The theater used to be a dollar theater, and nobody really cared if it was a bit run down. Now that's it's a proper theater though (even if only an AMC Classic) customers expect better. The theater is definitely not in the shape it needs to be for a first-run theater, and AMC isn't wanting to shell out the money to fix anything prior to the renovations. So, carpets are dated and torn. Signs don't always work well. Seats sag somewhat. However, renovations are scheduled for February 2019. Once AMC finishes the renovations it should be, hopefully, up to par. Will update the review once the renovations are finished. Looking forward to them, to be honest. Lots of potential here.

You might get hepatitis sitting in these seats, you will definitely get hepatitis using the restroom. I’ve seen rural rest areas cleaner than what this particular AMC has to offer.

The price is great. The movies are current. It has a Coke Freestyle machine and an Icee machine with free refills. AC was on and working great in the summer heat. The potholes in the parking lot (some) have been filled in finally. Hard to go wrong, right?? Ehh. It’s got its drawbacks. Seats are old, bathrooms are old which are things I can overlook to save a buck. The water fountains, GAG. I don’t use water fountains but my son pulled on me as we were walking past them and I decided to sit my drink down to free up my hand. Huge mistake. The second my cup touched the fountain a swarm of gnats came out in a cloud from the drain along with a stench I can only associate with something rotting or rancid. I contacted AMC corporate via chat who said ok thanks! No true apology just ok thanks! That water fountain needs blocked off, bagged up with hazard tape, ripped out. Something needs done about it, what if a kid goes up to it without a parent to use it? Gag me.

The picture and sound was good, but that's about it. The theater is extremely out of date, the chairs were old and uncomfortable. Half the lights were burnt out. The bathrooms looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a few days. I don't think I'll be returning.

Best ticket prices for first run movies, friendly staff and good popcorn. The trade off is a run down parking lot and facility. Great place for families however.

We had never been here before and purchased our tickets online. Upon arrival everything looked fine and staff was really friendly. When we walked into our movie I was immediately ready to leave. Floors and walls were disgusting. I was hesitant to even set in a chair. My fiancé noticed gum stuck to the arm rest between us and was so grossed out we left before our movie even started.

I love this place. Better prices than other theaters. The ticket price is better. If you go early enough you may have the entire theater to yourself. Food prices are the same as any theater. But when you're paying $5.30 a ticket instead of $10.25 a ticket maybe you don't feel as bad about the price of a snack and drink. Go to AMC instead.

My family and I like this theater. It's a little older than most but the prices are great and they carry most new releases. The last movie I attended began at 7:30 and we arrived as the promo scenes for the new movies were still rolling. We rushed to get to our seats with the kids and were all settled by the time the movie began. I went back out to buy our drinks and popcorn only to be told by the 1 teen worker they had that I was too late, they were closed. I actually thought she was joking but sadly she was not. So we sat through a two hour movie with no drinks or popcorn. Live and learn I suppose. We will still be back though.

My wife really wanted to see the live version of Aladdin and this theatre had it for the lady week. It was enjoyable to say the least with just a few scenes that somewhat unusual. The theatre itself needs to find a better balance of improving its comfort vs. the higher cost. For just two of us it cost us ~$25 - $7/ticket each and a $9/bag of popcorn.

The people working were very nice. The theater was very clean and well cared after. But... The issue with this theater was that it was not like an AMC. It was like an old, grocery store that has been covered to a theater. The seats were probably thirty years old! The doors were school doors and let light into the theater. The theater smelled very odd.. Like too much toilet bowl cleaner. This was most definitely the worst theater we've ever been to and absolutely not anywhere near AMC standards.

It's disgustingly dirty, uncomfortable seats with padding completely gone, no AC (It must have been 90ﾟin the theater we were in), a bed sheet for a movie screen, and bathrooms that smell like a sewer. We were sorely disappointed in our first visit to AMC Classic in over two years. Our last experience was regrettable, but as it had just come under new AMC management at the time, we agreed to allow some time to make a few necessary upgrades. First, the parking lot was full of cracks and potholes. This is unacceptable. We also paid about the same fare we generally do at other area theaters. ($17.44 for 2 seats) I guess we came at the wrong time. The concession prices may have been even higher than at other full-price venues...I paid $21 for two regular drinks and a small popcorn! These prices led us to assume there would at least be improvements once inside the theater. Were we ever in for a surprise We next noticed a foul odor inside the theatre itself. It was that sour smell an old carpet gets when it can no longer be cleaned properly. It was disgusting... Despite the price hike, don’t expect comfy new chairs if you go! There were no recliners. But I’ve saved the most inexplainable oversight for last. While I only checked our own row, not one single chair on it had even a basic cushioned armrest!!! I’m totally serious. We had to rest our arms on the metal under frame which was noticeably hard and uncomfortable. I half expected a film crew from Candid Camera to appear at any moment to chronicle our shock! That would have at least redeemed something! Instead, we simply departed quietly this once charming movie house for the very LAST TIME!!

Friendly staff and good prices can’t make up for how dirty and wore out this place feels. Bathrooms are filthy and unchanged in a week’s worth of seeing movies here. The floors need to be vacuumed and the auditoriums are kept up poorly. I literally walked in just as a cleaner was walking out to find gobs of trash and food littering the floor (auditorium 10 on June 23 @6:30pm, if it matters. It wasn’t busy at all.). Additionally, there is a desperate need for new seats; the arm cushions may as well be nonexistent. It actually feels dirty to put my arms down on them, that’s how bad. Very uncomfortable. The last part— I get it, you have to have a budget first. The rest, though— if they could just do these few things, it would at least make the experience more palatable— just take some pride in what you have.

I am satisfied with our visits!! Its a bit dirty and outdated, but hey, we're going to see a movie not moving into a new home... If updating and better caring for meant tickets were $12 vs the $5/6 bucks they are, I absolutely vote keep it as is. With a single income family of 4, being able to go see new movies for $20 bucks vs $45 bucks makes oe brakes going to the theatre honestly.

Went to see the newest "Mission Impossible" movie. There were only 3 of us in the theater. They initially directed us to the wrong theater. When I went out to ask why the movie hadn't started yet at 10 minutes after the scheduled starting time, he went to start the movie and discovered that we had been sent to the wrong theater. We moved to the correct theater as the previews were ending and the movie was about to begin. It was a really good movie.

This an overpriced, run down theater. On a Saturday matinee they were out of coke, diet coke, and root beer. Doesn't leave much. The theater houses are musty. The chairs are uncomfortable. Everything is dirty. When it was a dollar theater, I could put up with it. AMC took over, raised the prices on everything, and did zero renovations. I will never go back.

Pro: We saw Godzilla morning opening weekend and it was only $5 each, a great value. Con: The bathrooms were awful. It is obvious they haven't been cleaned in a long time. I observed 2 of the staff on separate occasions leave a stall without washing their hands. The guy that sold us our tickets did little more than grunt while he stuffed his face with popcorn. The rest of the theater was fine, just a little worn out.

Staff is friendly and priced on tix and food are very reasonable. But the place is absolutely disgusting. It looks like a late night jack shack. The seats, carpets, curtains and floors are beyond filthy. The bathrooms are urine and pube soaked. Once I found a seat that was the least disgusting, I used my hoodie to cover the seat and armrest. The darkest treaty I’ve ever been in. I suspect it’s that way to hide the filth. Along with just not caring enough to replace and/or fix the lighting. I had to use the flashlight on my phone to navigate my way around the place. I can’t believe this place passes inspections. The nice employees and decent food are the only redeeming qualities.

This is a great place to see a movie for $5, and if you hate packed theaters, half the time you go you get it to yourself and get a home theater experience at the theater! But it has classic theater seats not the newer stadium style, and the seats themselves are quite old and not very comfortable.

This theater has some issues unfortunately. No renovations despite an increase in price after AMC bought it months ago. Moviepass only covers about $2.00 a ticket so literally any other theater in Lexington is better. Uncomfortable and odored seats, no stadium seating, screen tears, popping audio, loud A/C system, slow lines to get tickets (I stood in line 10+ minutes with only three couples ahead of me), no automated ticketing machine. Great location though, but won't be returning anytime soon.

AMC CLASSIC is a good all time theator they are located right dowmtown close to the parking garage so grab some tickets and popcon camdy and a soft drink. If you like watching the best classics AMC CLASSIC is a place to go.

Ticket and concession prices are reasonable. However, they have done no improvements to renovate what was previously Carmike Cinemas. The floors look like they have not been vacuumed, let alone sream cleaned since the place was built years ago. The bathrooms are disgusting and all the plumbing is Rusted, and two of the sinks have no water pressure whatsoever. The theater rooms them self smell musty and the seats feel damp. If you can get past the smell and lack any effort to make it nice, it's worth the cheaper price for a ticket versus elsewhere.

I don't know what it is, but it seems that high schoolers love working in movie theatres. Whatever management is doing to keep morale up, keep doing it. I was greeted warmly by the kid at Will Call and was even given some advice on saving money by using AMCs apps and other service. I know it was just a sales tactic but customer service sells it well.

This place is pretty disgusting. Sticky floors, busted up tile, carpet is discolored and in some places completely fleeced due to heavy traffic in yester years. The seats have absolutely 0 cushion and the bathrooms are terrible. I'm willing to dull out the extra bucks for a better maintained and cleaner theater. I can't believe this is an AMC theater. I understand, how this place benefits families through the low ticket price, but even those who are trying to save money or just going through financial struggles deserve better than this. This place was disgusting, from top to bottom.

I really thought AMC would improve the quality of this theater when they bought it out and started charging more for tickets. I was sadly mistaken. The theater is still old, run down, and has uncomfortable chairs on a concrete floor. The theater was noticeably hotter than the rest of the building, and it seemed to be at least 80 degrees. We got so sweaty and uncomfortable halfway through that we asked them to fix the air, and the girl at the front stated her manager was supposed to do that before he left, and there was nothing she could do. She offered us cups of water instead.

The price is lower than other theaters, but to enjoy this theater, your expectations have to be equally low. The place looks old and tired. It hasn't been refurbished since it opened sometime in the 90s. The old school, not high rise seating is fine, but the seats are completely broken down. Surely AMC could at the very least replace the seats.

My daughter and I decided to grab a movie today. AMC was the only place that was showing Mary Poppins currently. This is the first time in a while i have been to this location, how disappointing it was. The place is nasty. From the minute u enter the door and every aspect in between. The floors had what felt like months of salt, dirt and syrup build up....seriously my shoes stuck to the floor. The soda machine looked as though it had exploded and was covered in dried syrup, thank god there r 2 machines. The theater viewing room was just as gross. Popcorn every where, again sticky floors and apparently they do not have heat as you could hang meat in there. The bathrooms are beyond even discussing as to not gross you out. The staff was hanging out together as not to care about the nastiness. I will gladly pay a higher ticket price somewhere else. After leaving there i felt as though i needed to shower to wash the filth off of me. Will never return.

Literally the dirtiest place I've ever been. The floors are sticky, every surface has a layer of grime that only a bone fire can clean. It smells like b.o. with an undertone of urine and the restroom is disgusting enough its likely a health hazard. Not worth saving 10 bucks by going to a cheaper theater. Spend the cash go some where better and avoid getting an incurable disease. Absolutely disgusted.

The theatre our movie was in was absolutely disgusting. Every seat was wet from the rain going through the ceiling and there was mud on the seats. Probably the most disgusting I have ever seen a theatre. Very frustrated not sure how this isn’t a violation of health code. Very nice people who worked there but the situation was not okay.

Very run down. $7 tickets for all floor seating. Bathroom was disgusting. I felt gross walking into the theater. I cant believe this is an AMC. Screen is reflective and has stains.

When the tickets were discounted at $5 or less per person I could tolerate the apathetic staff, broken seats, and dirty floors. Now this theater costs as much as any other in Lexington. I do not recommend this movie theater.

The Reclining chairs provide comfortable seating. I also love that this theater has a bar. Great for a glass of wine for Girls night.

Broken AC, broken seats, and dirty theaters were tolerable when it was only $2 per ticket. But now that they've jacked the price up to $7, I feel like it's better to just pay the extra $3 to go to a regular theater. At least then I know I won't be crammed in a 85 degree theater with 50 other people and can actually enjoy my movie.

Good ticket prices on Tuesdays. Concessions are pretty standard. Horrible seats. Hoping AMC puts in some upgrades since it's no longer a dollar theatre.

Very gross in here. When you first walk in the floors were dirty, the seating was aged and falling apart. The carpets were torn up and were also very aged. Bathroom had a urine smell and was very dirty. The movie showing was okay, picture and sound quality was okay. Be prepared to sit on rocks with their theatre chairs. I will never go here again as it is not clean and pleasing in there. It’s good for the cheap price, but if I didn’t have tickets that we’re $4, I would of definitely NEVER came to this theater. Save some money and go to a higher quality theatre.

Cheaper, second run movies are nice, but I'm not sure they're worth the poor attitudes of the staff or the filth of the building. The employees we dealt sort of grunted when spoken to and certainly didn't use any basic manners. The floor of our theater was filthy and sticky. The bathroom contained one stall so gross no one was using it and a stream of water running down the floor. We didn't get food or drinks, but based on the lack of cleanliness in public areas, I fear for the food preparation surfaces. Saving money is nice, sure, but next time, we'll be going somewhere else.
