They have a nice facility and reasonable prices as well as nice staff most of the time. However, I took my seven-year-old to a movie he was so excited to see, but the theatre was packed and there were single seats but nothing together. I asked the staff if they would have people move inward on the rows as I have seen done many times in other theaters so we could sit together since my son was only seven, and they refused. They would not budge. The manager at the time had no empathy at all and told me we should have come earlier. I explained my seven-year-old had been looking forward to seeing the movie for so long and would be crushed if we had to leave and that I simply couldn't separate us for safety. Didn't care. Didn't budge. I had to get a refund, and my little boy was very sad, like you'd expect from a little boy. He couldn't understand why they did that, and frankly, I couldn't understand it either. From then on we started actually driving down to Warren theatre. I actually don't prefer to do that, but we were treated so badly so unnecessarily on that occasion that I believe it's justified.

Saw Abominable with my 3 boys and mom. Boys were indecisive at popcorn (which candy?!?) And the guy was very patient. Clean theatre, nice fold down seats. Sat mid way up and enjoyed our experience. Will be returning for our next movie outing.

They charged me for a 4 month old, who did not occupy a seat. Seems extremely greedy. The movie had been out for a decent amount of time. There were a total of 10 people in the movie.

It's really great to have a local theatre that is above average. The tickets are priced right and the service is excellent. The best thing about this place is that the other patrons are much more considerate than in the bigger cities. I've never had anyone be so disruptive here that I felt the need to speak up about it. I can't say that about the bigger theatres. Great place for a night out without breaking the bank. Actually the prices are such that going more frequently isn't out of the question.

Like some have said. Great clean spacious theaters. More room in the seats and space between the seats in front of you, as compared to the Warren theaters. Plus it's always $2-$3 cheaper than The Warren. Consession, again is cheaper. Great friendly staff as well. Always choose this theater over any others.

Widest aisles I've ever experienced in a movie theater. If someone wanted to exit during the movie, others wouldn't need to move at all to let them pass. And nice comfortable chairs. Highly recommended for anyone that doesn't like the close quarters typically found in movie theaters! Nice facility, and I'll return again!

Good value. Compared to the Warren Theaters in Wichita: Seats as comfortable (actually more comfortable than a lot of Warren's seats), sound and picture quality similar, although some of Warren's screens are bigger and edge out on quality, they are very close. Prices better than all the first run Warren Theaters. We saw Star Wars 3D at both Chisholm Trail 8 and the Warren's IMAX. Warren almost double the price and I got a headache because the glasses to screen weren't matched as well as the CT8 glasses were. (they were different glasses, and the IMAX felt more substantial, but didn't function as well). Certainly not worth the drive to Wichita if you are a Newton local and the show you want to see is in town. Might even be worth a drive from Wichita for larger families on a budget.

I live in Houston, and usually attend theaters like AMC 24 or Santikos Silverado 19. This experience was night and day difference. The theater is old, but pretty clean. The staff was really nice, and the place had a nice atmosphere. Being a student, I got my ticket for $5, which is half of what I'd pay for a Saturday night showing at home. In addition, there were NO ADS after showtime, and ONLY ONE TRAILER! This blew my mind. Usually I have to sit through 20 minutes of trailers and commercials before the show starts. My only complaint was that the screen was WAY smaller than I'm used to. However, picture wasn't bad, and the sound was really good. Overall, superb value, and a nice change of pace from the big city. I'll probably be back next time I'm in Kansas.

If I were paying $10 for a ticket here I wouldn't be giving five stars. This theatre is clean, seats are nice, and the rows are spaced such that you have great leg room. What you're not paying the "extra $4 to $6" is ambiance. Why pay a little for a movie when you can pay a lot! I live on the far North end of Wichita, so the drive is nearly comparable to one of the Wichita theatres.

I love this place! I have gone here when I lived in Wichita and when I lived in Hutch because the drive is worth it for the prices for me. A lot more affordable that many theatres. Of course it doesn't have the fancy seats or anything but I go to the movies to see the movie and to eat amazing popcorn, which is what I get here! Plus they have a cool arcade.
