There are only two to three employees working one sells your ticket and the other one runs the OVERPRICED snack bar. All the tickets are the same price be it (child adult senior) then the 3D movies are higher priced. There are no longer any matinée shows since AMC bought out the theater. You may had a theater all to yourself during the weekdays Sunday thru Thursday. Friday and Saturday are the busy evenings so come early for those shows.

This place is filthy, your feet stick to the floor, and service is bad and slow. It’s so dirty we will drive out of town to go to a movie.

Excellent movie! But....we were in a very small theater, admission price was ok but concessions are outrageously overpriced! We will stick to our local small town theaters only a half hour away even if we have to wait an extra week or two to see a new release!

Screens are small, seats uncomfortable, and small selection of movies to choose from. Only about half of the blockbusters actually show at this theater. Most movies don't even fit the whole screens, screens are dark as well. They need a total upgrade.

Rude cashiers. First time visiting an amc theater and will not be back. Asked for something that was not unreasonable. She got visibly mad at something that wasnt my fault. Way ruined one of the only family days weve had in months.

The popcorn is full of kernels and the prices for popcorn and can't are outrageously expensive. The restrooms are always dirty as well as the theater itself.

Very old theater. Very musty, moldy and mildew smelling. The smell was so atrocious, that it almost caused me to have an asthma attack. Thank God for my inhaler. Watched Crazy Rich Asians in theater 5. The seats in the row were least desirable and the cloth was tore on the seats. I understand the theater is in a college town, but definitely needs to be cleaned thoroughly with white glove inspection after it has been cleaned. Management definitely needs to request a CAP for improvements.

I accidentally left my phone in my seat on the 12th. I realized before we got home and came back within 10 mins but all of the staff was gone and doors where locked. We tried calling and emailing that night and the next day but could not get ahold of anyone until 2. They said they didn’t find anything but we could come in later when they opened and look for ourselves. We went right when they opened at 3:30 and they didn’t even turn the light on to the theater for us to find it. One employee helped us and was nice. I just now received an email response 3 days later.

Showtimes on the website and app aren't always complete or accurate, especially for 3D movies. Can't call them to hear showtimes either, since they seemed to have done away with that feature. Have to go in to shake up an employee just to find out what the showtimes are.

This place got a makeover in the mid nineties, and now things are getting a bit long in the tooth. Facilities aren't what folks are used to in the big city, but in fairness, tickets are priced appropriately. Hopeful that the recent AMC buyout will bring much-needed improvement!

It's the smallest theater I've been to and it's actually a nice place. Affordable movie tickets, concession stand is a bit pricey, the bathrooms are clean and narrow, seats are a little uncomfortable at times. It's the only one in town and the closest one I know is in Salina. But overall, it's a good place for groups, family and friends. At least they are up to date with movies.

Was greeted as I first walked in the door. Had a poster of my name on the wall for my birthday. Was very pleased with the coloring. But when I went to buy some food it costed me so so so so much money. To expensive for a cheap little theater. We enjoy the movies but impossible to take your family and just get popcorn and a drink for 5 people. Who can afford $5 for a drink for each of your family members, then another $10-$12 for a bag of popcorn? There has to be a better compromise.

I loved it. My mother my two kids and I were the only ones in the movie we saw and it was awesome. Very quick to gey tickets. I would suggest ordering them online because there's 1 register and the line for tickets got super busy Same for refreshments. Staff was friendly.

This theater has gone downhill the last few years. Our most recent visit was incredibly disappointing! The food service counters were filthy. The bathrooms were a mess and smelled, it was like no one was cleaning them between showings. Our feet were sticking to the carpet of the aisle. It made us wonder how dirty the seats were. We will be sticking to our local/small town well kept theater, from now on. Even though we have to wait a few weeks for the new releases.

Great student price for movies. The seating is terrible. You have to crane your neck up at the screen no matter where you sit in most of the theaters. They did just get one of those awesome multi-flavor pop machines though.

The only complaint I have is that they very often misrepresent or don't change time durations for the movies ,for instance Intersteller was advertised to be 1hour 40min,and ended up being nearly 3 hours long. I have experienced this scenario numerous times with this theater.

Went to see a movie today and the tornado sirens went off. The staff took us to the safest place and also gave us tickets for another show. So professional and a great way to treat customers when it was beyond their control. Great staff.

Ticket prices are reasonable. Concession stand are standard and a little on the pricey side. Only has a few real theater style rooms-where there is a decline towards the big screen. The others are just flat rooms with the screen. Not bad for a small town theater.

First off popcorn maker down so no popcorn which is part of a movie experience so i went with the pretzel bites instead. I went to get more during movie just to be told concession stand is closed its 809 movie still goin so where the hell does the money go exactly and what the hell type of movie theater doesnt have concession stand open through whole movie. If this wasnt the only place to go to movie in hays id definitely go somewhere else

Needs a major upgrade. Was in a theater that had at least 3 damaged or broken seats that were unusable. Also the chairs in this theater were so squeaky that it very much so distracted from the movie. Great price for everything. But needs an upgrade.

For a small town. I enjoy this place a lot. Coming from a big city, the prices are extremely fair and affordable. The seating is Okay, again its not the big city theaters I'm use too. That have reclining double side seats. But I'll take what I can get. I love seeing movies on the big screen and enjoy paying 4 bucks to see them. Bathrooms could use some work. But what public place isn't like that these days.

Sadly, this is the only place to see a movie in Hays. Overpriced concessions, poor service, not to mention they don't have showtimes for very popular new movies releasing, but they will show the same movie for several weeks in a row. For instance, they are not showing "Den of Thieves" on its release date but they are still showing "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" which was released over 4 weeks ago.

When you are the only theater in town, standards can slip but the Hays AMC is, for the most part, very nice. Clean facilities, comfortable seating and friendly staff. A couple of hiccups (one of the touch screen drink dispensers was not recognizing when you touched the screen, a stall door in the men's doesnt lock) and all but two of the screens/theaters are on the small side. But for the price and being the only choice it isnt bad.

The employees were very rude to my friends (who was clearly over the age of 18, 22 actually) about not having her ID for a movie. She had a college ID and they would not let me get a ticket for her and we’re overall just very rude about it.

For starters on a Friday night the movie had one showing time and it was an afternoon showing and we were planning a date night. Well we decided to go rent a movie but wanted to just go purchase some real popcorn. It was 9 o'clock and the doors were locked. Another customer let me in because she was waiting for someone to get her the free refill of popcorn and after about 5 minutes a young man came out and told us that they are closed on Friday nights. She simply asked if he would just give her the free refill because they were finishing the movie and her 4 kids wanted some popcorn and he refused her. This is just ridiculous in my opinion on a Friday of all days. I could understand a week night but not on the weekend. Just pathetic. I guess we will just start traveling to other towns if we want to watch a movie on a date night.

Generally a good theater with friendly people, good popcorn and a wide drink selection. However, I've had some bad screenings when they start late, play 3D instead of 2D, or have an issue with the projector.

I traveled to Hays to take in a movie that Hays was showing that I wanted to see. The movie I chose was in a tiny theatre that was dirty, the seats were uncomfortable, and they did not clean the trash off the floor between showings. While the ticket prices were very good, the concession stand combos were five dollars higher than my local theater. I could have been in the worst theatre in the complex, but this place needs some serious updating.

Theaters are good. The concession area is crowded and poorly set up. When more than one person is filling pop it is quite frustrating. More space between pop machines and moving lids would help a ton.

The overall theater experience here is nothing special. The student discount for FHSU students makes it a huge draw for them. The movies are new releases, food is good (but over priced), and the place is clean.
