Beautiful restoration and effort by staff and community to to preserve such a beautiful piece of History! Theater favorites available as well as good wine, spirits and beer. New seats and good a/c for the hotter days.

Real butter on your popcorn! Wonderful theater with great popcorn, candies and drinks. Plenty of room to get comfy and a cup holder for your beverage. The staff is awesome.

What a remarkable transformation of this old theater back to it's original glory! So nice to see the theatre on the square thriving. The staff is always friendly. The movies are relevant and they are very accommodating for special events. The popcorn is great!

Very cute old time theater. They've renovated it nicely. Not a good place to go if you have trouble walking. Not much seating on the main level. Balcony seating has steep, narrow stairs and no elevator. I bought tickets to an event weeks ago, arrived 15 minutes early and was directed upstairs with my cane. Didn't see any seats set aside for handicapped. There were entire rows empty and "reserved" in the lower level. Ruined the event for me.

Have been there many times. Senior prices are very reasonable. Have great selection of concession foods, plus beer and wine. Sound is very good, seats are a 7 out of 10.

The Iowa theater is a gem on the square in historic Winterset, Iowa. You get the feeling you're in a theater in the 1930s but the quality of the experience is state of the art. Look forward to enjoying movies for decades to come.

I love the selection of movies. Something for everyone. Classics to the current. Enjoy the treats. I am so proud of all that worked so hard for the restoration of the Iowa Theater Plus, the Iowa Theater is multipurpose. Guest presenters, Winterset Stage, and more. Grandma took our 3 children to the movies today (along with other families that were waiting) but the theater remained closed. Sad for our kids - hope all is ok.

Love that my small town has a theatre all it's own! No more trudging to WDM for a movie. Not to mention that it's a great theatre, great pricing and great treats! Only downside is you can't see when you sit in the balcony from any seat other than the front row. :(

The Iowa is beautifully renovated and shows a wonderful assortment of classics and new movies (both indie and big money) as well as live theater. The Iowa also has beer and wine and yummy popcorn and treats.
