I love going to this theater. It is just expensive but its worth it if you really want to see a movie. :) Doesn't smell, hasnt had bed bugs, you get scabbies from skin to skin contact soo they didnt have that, and it never smells besides the smell of popcorn, its a good place.

A very nice place for a family movie night! The food is a bit expensive but the $5 tickets on Tuesdays is a great offer. The popcorn and drinks are so good! And most of the time the seats are clean and area for the next movie! Let's go CEC - Ottumwa 8!

Best day to go is on Tuesday tickets are 5 dollars. Its near several restaurants close to couple hotels for the out of towners. I do recommend to eat before since the snack bar is quite pricey. Theaters are decent size always clean when I go. Bathrooms are kept cleaned. Does have seating and extra room usually the first row thats handicap accessible. Overall its a decent one but try your best to go on Tuesdays. Otherwise pay full price for tickets.

I've been here a day before movies are suppose to drop. I be feeling exclusive. Family environment, staff is always chill, the popcorn and slushes are classic. I enjoy my experience every time. They also have flavors for the popcorn that smack. Handicap accessible. There is also a $5 movie Tuesday every week.

The last two times we have went there we can't really watch the movie. Talk about disrespectful people. I'm not talking about just kids even the adults. There is a room full of people trying to watch a movie and you have those who are either one their phones nonstop or talking through the whole thing. If you don't want to watch the movie then stay home. I didn't pay to listen to you guys talk

Decent theater always has a selection of movies showing. Prices have risen a lot in the past years. Small drink and small popcorn is $10 and about $10 per person for a movie so its hard to get out of there under $20. I recommend going on Tuesday when its $5 and you get a free popcorn with drink purchase! Def could use better cleaning, the floor is always sticky and littered.

Theatre is clean, with plenty of parking, and reasonable prices. Movie selection is fair, catching all major releases (though missing a smattering of smaller films here and there, and occasionally not getting 3D pictures in their 3D form). Viewing rooms have good acoustics, and unlike Ottumwa's previous theatre (Capri V) where many people had to view the screen at an awkward angle, the Ottumwa 8 uses a straight forward layout with no balconies, so you can see well from basically any seat. If I had one complaint, it would be that about 1 in 50 of the armrests appears to have come detached from the seats, so I've had multiple experiences of coming into a near-capacity room and taking a seat, only to discover that putting my cup in the cup holder would cause it to fall off the chair or tilt forward and dump. It was slightly less enjoyable sitting through 150 minutes of Star Wars with a cup of cold ice precariously hugged between my legs in my crotchal region.

We are happy to have Ottumwa 8 Theatre in our area. They always have a great selection of the newest movies. The facility is clean/ comfortable and prices are very reasonable. There is ample parking and plenty of dinner and shopping options nearby. Nice place to spend an evening out!

Drove an hour to see a movie because on their website it showed a showtime at 7:15. My friend and I walk in to the theater, very hyped about seeing the movie, just to be turned away. Apparently, 5 o’clock was the last time for our movie, but the website said otherwise. We were utterly disappointed.

For one of the only movie theatres in this area, it fits above all expectations. It is clean, easy to access, plenty of parking, and shows the newest releases. Good for the kids, date night, or hanging with pals. You can even eat at Pizza Ranch and just stroll over to the movies next door without much effort. Good location!

Its kind of stinky everytime I go, and the floors are dirty and sticky, the air feel humid and not very fresh. It got so bad that the place got bed bugs or scabies, in my opinion a professionally ran theater should not get to that point where people don't feel comfortable in a public business place that's meant for good moment of relaxation and movie entertainment especially not at the prices they have. Sure they do what a theater itself is supposed to do (play the movie on a theater size screen, with cool effects like 3D, and loud sound) but the over all maintenance of that building is a mess. Prices are high, stuffs old, place is dirty. Enjoy!. but more people need to start speaking up on the obvious.
