Very nice theater. We really enjoyed the look and feel of an old style theater. The prices for popcorn and pop are just as great as the price of admission. The only down side is the seats are very narrow and can be difficult for a bigger person to sit in. Will definitely be going back to see more movies there

always enjoy taking our grandaughter over there. love the old-fashioned look and it's been well redone inside. admission and concessions are pretty darn cheap with free refills on popcorn and cheap refills on beverages. even has sound pumped into restroom so you don't miss much in case you've ''got to go''! ;-]

Best place to see a movie in the Iowa City/Quad Cities area bar none. For what you spend at the movies in the bigger towns you can go here and see 5 movies for that and get all the snacks you want.

This is a great place to go and watch a movie. The ambience is nostalgic, comfortable seating, reasonable prices, and excellent customer service. Free refills on popcorn - any size!! One of my favorite movie thearers.

Fantastic theater that plays recent movies. Prices are better than in the big cities. That have a great projection system and yummy popcorn (with refills!!!!). The building itself is so cool. It used to be a vaudville theater and is gorgeous.

Best place for family movie watching. The ticket price and concessions are easy on the wallet, it's clean, plenty of leg room, and you don't leave with your ears ringing from excessive volume. The beautiful, old architecture, chandeliers, and whimsical lobby really complete the movie experience!

The Strand is a great experience for the whole family. Movies in high definition, 3D with Dolby surround sound. Live events or watching the Hawkeye play on the big screen the Strand is a great value. The owners have preserved the historical elements while investing in updates and improvements that are fabulous.
