Just a hidden gem. Second time I have seen a movie. Seats are so comfortable. Volunteers are the staff. A real small community theater. Reminds me of when I was young child. Enjoy.

This is a fantastic old theater which has been restored. New digital camera and sound - as well as new seats and all. This is a non-profit which is a real gem.

Great theater!! Clean! Prices are unbeatable! Seats are comfortable, and they have a cry room for small children so you don't bother other patrons. Also has a small room for rent for parties and such! And a non-profit run by volunteers on top of all the other perks!

The theater itself is nice but all they show these days is kids movies, christian movies, and dramas that most people have already seen. If your a parent or a kid you'll like this place but if your a young adult or teen who wants to watch action,horror,and decent comedy movies then i recommend you go to the cinema west instead.

Oh my. My apologies for the initial review of 3 stars! That was absolutely a mistake caused by issues with my phone. Let me correct that to 5! I love the Avery theater! There is a great selection of movies that are frequently changed out so that they can bring in more. Seats are comfortable and not too small. They have a great setup for concessions and they are quick and filling orders. What I love most about the Avery Theater is that they assist with collecting food items by offering to watch a movie for free if you bring in a canned item or good. Even if you go in when they're not doing one of these, the price is absolutely reasonable and not at all outrageous. I highly recommend the Avery Theater. Support local!

Ahhh...the Avery Theater, one of my favorite places to visit in Garner. The Avery Theater takes some of the best movies and puts it on their huge screen. Seats are very comfortable and the staff pride themselves on making the customer happy. Prices are low and the food is delicious. Making somebody feel at home in a movie theater is exactly what you want, and they executed it perfectly. If you live in Garner. Don't spend all your money at a big theater with people being loud, come to your local Avery Theater and meet some people you might know in your town.
