This Movie Theater is classified in the category of Movie theater.
Amazing theater for small town.
I love having a local theater in my town. It is so nice to travel less than 15 Minutes and watch a good movie. The facility is always clean and reasonably priced. I save on gas money having to go anywhere else. Good shows, convenient and budget friendly.
I like this local theater. Though, it does seem a little dingy/out dated. But it's not a huge deal. I would say the prices are outrageous for the consessions, but that's literally every cinema you go to. Nothing notable about the staff, they just do their jobs. No real complaints, would recommend.
High priced. Dirty commissary.
The place is dirty
Stale and cold popcorn. Pretzels also tasted like they were saved from the day before. We got kids movie bundles and the kids didnt even fit on the cups, I broke a cup trying to put a lid on. It was ridiculous. Movie was good, but it's not like the theater made the movie. I will find a new movie theater next movie.
Great price for afternoon shows
If I could go back in time, to any specific historical event... I would go back in time to the night of the owner's conception and give his parents a condom. Unconstitutional searches on the disabled--preventing a little boy with c.p. from coming into the Triway because we had SPECIAL distilled water for his G-TUBE(STOMACH TUBE)--forcing pregnant women to lift their shirts to prove they're pregnant and not hiding food... This man is so close to a lawsuit--and he refuses to change his ways. Scratch on the screen that's been there for years and more money hungry behavior. Signs plastered EVERYWHERE throughout the theatre. Dude literally hates his customers. And he wonders why business is suffering. The only good thing is the staff--I feel so sorry for them--especially the women. Pathetic. (If you're reading this and you're a disability law lawyer, PLEASE feel free to reach out to me!)
What a joke for a " Theatre " . Is " The Gallows " not Christian enough ? You played OUIJA and had no problem... so done with this place.... South Bend is worth the drive.... totally lost my business..
Expensive
As in all theaters, the concession prices are too high. Seats were comfortable and the movie with my grandson was very enjoyable.
Weird website to buy tickets online. Not the best popcorn but seats are comfortable.
Normally I like this place well enough, mainly because it's close. Today I was very disappointed. The screen we were viewing had a rather sizable rip in it. Very distracting. Of course the price of our tickets were the same.
Men's bathroom need fixed. Urinals don't flush so bathroom stinks. Otherwise everything else is ok and the people are friendly.
It's a good option for hometown movie-goers, but there are some legitimate setbacks. I'll reserve my personal opinions beyond stating that. As I write this review, it has a rating of 3.1 out of 5.0. I think that's a valid assessment. Not great, not terrible. See the other reviews for some legitimate concerns. At the end of the day, if you really want to see that new movie that just came out and don't want to drive to other cities, this is a valid option and your experience will probably be average or adequate.
Good value and a good variety of concession choices.
Cool, comfortable, surround sound. Had a great time
You have to bring cash to buy movie tickets. The concession stand is debit and credit. While I understand why they only take cash, it is a bit of an inconvenience because the ATM in the lobby doesn't always work. If you are unfamiliar with this policy and you show up in the nick of time to watch movie you will be late by the time you find another atm and come back.
Nice to have a movie theatre close, but it definitely needs help on the cleanliness. We went to the Sunday 1230 show with our kids, and the movie theatre had popcorn and trash all over the floors. Bathrooms were really dirty with trash bins not being emptied.
The 7th screen has damage to it. There was a big line in the middle of it. The food quality isn't worth the money. Needs a remodel.
Extremely over priced foods and drinks. And they wonder why attendance is down. Movies way to loud also. How about you try quality food at a decent price and watch attendance rise. Maybe some employees that greeted w a smile and hello would be nice too.
Floors never seem to be clean and the popcorn butter stuff is not very good. A lot of the snacks are a bit greasy as well and the staff is not always the friendliest.
Was giving food freezing cold then was told to check another one they gave me also was freezing cold. was filthy in lobby as I was waiting for food to be made fresh (15 mins it took).. a couple came in and sat there waiting for someone to come up to front to check them in to get their tickets they sat there complaining also how disgusting it was floors was filthy in lobby and smelt bad and the fact took them so long to get their tickets just all around wasn’t great experience.
Dinky little theater, but good movies and good seasonings for popcorn.
Nice building lots of snacks to choose from. Friendly staff.

it is unfortunate that this is the only indoor theater serving marshal and fulton county. the service is always rude. you can not use a credit card to puchase tickets but you can use a card to buy high priced snacks....what??? my cousin's two year old daughter could not use her sippy cup because it was a outside cup....really??? way to make your customers feel welcome showland.

Still dirty and dingy definitely needs to be upgraded inside and out. Their customer service is the worst, The it would be nice if we had a decent movie theater in town, I would rather spend the extra 20 minutes driving and go to AMC in South Bend, it’s been two years since this review and I still stand on it after trying to give them another chance.
Expensive

Clean, Nice Staff, Comfy seats..tho the snacks are a bit greasy.
Weird website to buy tickets online. Not the best popcorn but seats are comfortable.
the movie venom go see
They are to expensive you can go to Niles Michigan and watch a movie and it only cost between four and five dollars for a movie and it has great screens so for a (couple) to go there you may spend $15 for your movie, pop, popcorn and it's Very Clean!

Too expensive. For me and 2 little girls cost 50 bucks
Seating good good service respectable people
Took my family. Had a TERRIBLE experience. I will NEVER go back. The staff was rude. The facility sub-standard. And the cost... was as though they were a top tier movie facility. More like a dollar movie theatre.
Service is terrible. Overpriced snacks and hot dogs are old and stale. There staff is very rude and show no respect to their customers. If this wasn't the only movie theater in the county I would never go to this one again.
Good value and a good variety of concession choices.
Cool, comfortable, surround sound. Had a great time
Concession prices are much too high. $10 for a small drink and a medium popcorn is a lot for folks in this area. The owners of this theater don't seem to mind that their attendance is low - I go to lots of movies there, usually through the week, when I am likely to be the ONLY person watching the movie. Except for opening weekend for a really good movie, there are rarely more than dozen people in the audience even on Friday or Saturday night. Plymouth is a very low income area - incomes for nearly 30% of people living within the city are at or below the poverty level. If there was one night through the week, and Saturday afternoons, with reduced ticket prices of $1, I think the business would improve its bottom line significantly, because they would not only fill seats, they could still gouge folks with overpriced drinks and popcorn. Oh yeah, they only take cash for tickets, the ATM machine in the lobby NEVER works, and the soda machines that sell bottles of water for $2.50 almost never work. Owners seem paranoid that someone will sneak in candy or a drink - they even going to the trouble of covering their water bottles with black sharpie ink so employees can spot smuggled water bottles when they do their intrusive walk-throughsduring the movie to bully anyone with a foot resting on the edge of a chair.

While this theater does not have lounge seating, it does sell hot dogs! Cinemark's Movies 14 in South Bend has lounge seating, but does not sell hot dogs. I'd rather have hot dogs and go without the lounge seats any day!
The place is nice, about that you would expect from a small town movie theater, only real issue is the seats, so uncomfortable to sit in.
Nice smaller theater. Refills on popcorn and soda is a great plus!
Floors never seem to be clean and the popcorn butter stuff is not very good. A lot of the snacks are a bit greasy as well and the staff is not always the friendliest.

Dinky little theater, but good movies and good seasonings for popcorn.
They falsely advertised a movie playing and I even called for confirmation. No return call. On top of that, the atmosphere is very outdated and almost seems dirty.
Very rude manager, the place is a dump. Will go to valpo from now on.
Nice building lots of snacks to choose from. Friendly staff.
The negative reviews all sound the same as if sent by one or a group; conspiracy? It's just a show house. Good grief! Facility is OK & offers what a show house should. Jay
Good movie okay prices for the matinee but the popcorn and beverages that are out outrageous they keep getting higher and higher and higher.
Great theatre. Great place to get Soda and candy.
Rip in movie screen, the bathrooms were not clean, also could use updated.
Hydrate prior, but an inexpensive small town cinema fare!
Been going here for years. Like that it is close. The place is not super nice by any means. I can look past a lot of things as long as the movie experience is good, but last night I watched a movie in theater 7 and there was a big tear in the middle of the screen. It was super distracting. No idea how long it has been like that, but shut down that screen and fix it.
Fun experience. Great movie
Employees goof around too much women's bathroom is always dirty out of toilet paper, toilet paper on the floor alot. And it stinks in there. Floors are starting to get sticky. This place used to be a nice place to go but I no longer go anymore.
The employees at this place are spectacular. whoever owns it acts like every customer is out to get them. you will know what I am talking about when you get there!
I would go to any other theater because the owner is a snake in the grass and does unlawful searches. If your female date ( wife, gf, etc) they will ask to search your purse. Known for making parents dump soppy cups out. Theater is nice, but the owner is a tool
Qqi wish I felt welcomed when I go here.
Awesome place great prices
Great movie! Love the hometown theatre
too expensive
Terrible establishment only because of the owner! Everyone that works there does a great job....if it wasn’t owned by such a terrible owner then the place would be so much nicer. I would recommend taking the trip up to South Bend before going here.
The movie was great. The food was ok. Not much selection on food to enjoy the movie a bit more. What's up with the cord barrier stopping viewers from going back to the food area? In general, the experience was mediocre. Hopefully, we'll go back and have a Bayer time. If so, I'll reevaluate.
I love this place. Not many people come here and so it's always quiet. More often than not, we get the theater to ourselves.
Clean, good popcorn, big theater!
Me and my family love ShowLand thanks for giving us a good experience
I give this place 5 stars simply because I love it and have gone there as long as I can remember. I have great memories like the Standing ovations for Titanic and all the Lord of the Rings and most recently star wars. My first date was here and I now take all four of my kids here. If this place were to close I would have to drive an hour to the next nearest theatre. This place is always improving and getting new amenities too
I find the employees very pleasant and courteous. Old style of payment (cash) keeps the prices down. The theater itself is clean and the seats comfortable. I have been going to this location for 3 years and have never had a bad experience!
Theaters are often dirty and it’s rough being charged to get butter in the middle of your popcorn when most places let you add your own.
It's not a bad cinema. The popcorn is good. They need bigger seats, though. The entire theatre is big enough that they could do like Cinemark in Mishawaka has done, and still make plenty of money.
Snacks, drinks, and candy are WAAAAAAY overpriced. But what movie theater isn't?! I do believe you get free refills on drinks, and refills on popcorn is only 25cent. Ticket prices are normal. Employees are nice. Everything is clean. Audio and Visual quality is good. Morning showtimes during the week for those of us who work 2nd and 3rd shift jobs would be GREAT, but understandable for it to be such a small theater.
It’s a waist of time and money this place sucks
Good movie okay prices for the matinee but the popcorn and beverages that are out outrageous they keep getting higher and higher and higher.
Great theatre. Great place to get Soda and candy.
Food extremely overpriced and staff leaves early on late shows skin you cannot get refills...
It does the job, but I believe it needs updated a little bit.
Small but good concessions. So glad they except debit now.
Rip in movie screen, the bathrooms were not clean, also could use updated.

Bush fluff
The employees at this place are spectacular. whoever owns it acts like every customer is out to get them. you will know what I am talking about when you get there!
Place is a joke. Cash only. Over priced concession. Rude employees. Sadly the only place in town to go watch a movie. Everyone should goto Showplace 16 in South Bend. Well worth the short drive for a better experience. Same goes for the drive-in. It's the same owner
You that complain about them not accepting debit cards for tickets, there is a reason. It is not cost effective when the box office takes over half proceeds for movies. Not only that you can purchase them online! They are always nice and courteous to my family. Good selection and they play matinee til 6 pm, and movies til about 11 pm. It is expensive to keep a theater running. Keep our local theater and drive-in open. Before a piece of Americana is gone.
Nice family movie theater.
Qqi wish I felt welcomed when I go here.
Awesome place great prices
Great movie! Love the hometown theatre
So bring cash. Pay now like i do. Great place i have taken my four kids 10 years
too expensive

Nice!!!

Big rip in the movie screen, left the lights on, lights burnt out in the bathrooms so the stalls were dark and creepy, faucets are practically falling off.
Nice movie theatre
I love this place. Not many people come here and so it's always quiet. More often than not, we get the theater to ourselves.
Clean, good popcorn, big theater!
went in the winter to see the battle of 5 armies and it was FREEZING in there... i was bundled up in my coat shivering and couldn't even enjoy the movie. been back since then...only go there cause its close...yeah not the best i've ever been to...food and drinks are way too expensive also...and them coming in and "patroling"is very annoying...some of the staff is friendly but not all...i went back a few more times and they had nicer people working and they now take debit cards for movies...they do have good popcorn lol...and i didn't freeze this time ha...guess all the bad reviews did some good!!!

Comfortable theater, but horrendous policies towards employees.
Love the leather reclining seats!
Prices are reasonable. If you use cash you get a discount on the food, snacks, drinks, etc. Great idea. All of the employees smile and are friendly. The seats are a bit small and I feel like I have to move around to not touch others. Overall still a great place to watch a movie.
It's nice to have a local theater! It's always clean and the kids that work there are always very nice. Their popcorn is always fresh and they have a good selection of flavors to sprinkle on it.
Great movies, great atmosphere, nice staff
Typically friendly staff. Facilities are typically clean, but not as clean as they could be. One screen has a rip, and the bathrooms are not in the state they should be. Minor repairs would make this place great. The food prices are typical and the food is of fine quality. This theater is what I would expect from a fairly small town.
volumn was so loud I had to leave. need to turn it down some.
The insides not too nice but it has good audio and good video to comfortably watch a movie in high quality.
It was ok . The theater smelled like a basement
Not a lot of busy place not really new movies either
The movie was great but the theater was dirty and the popcorn was old and horrible
The movie theater has air conditioning which is why we went to go see it when we were at the lake house they have bathrooms that are kind of clean. People out there are more respectful about not talking during movies. If you're lucky you may encounter Amish people on the road driving to this particular theater because there are a lot of Amish people and horse's poop in the road. So beware of the horse poop around the roads in this particular area. Hopefully this was very helpful and enjoy they also have very cheap tickets I believe they were $5 or every other places around 10 and their concessions are not nearly as expensive as most theaters.
Awesome price for tickets, concessions are a little pricey, as with any theatre, but its clean, seats are comfy.
The theater is doing really well but the prices on the snacks are really expensive
Filthy cinemas. We went to a movie today, first movie in that theater room for the day, there was still popcorn under the seats and trash from who knows how long. It's not kept up well or maintained well. Also they never turned out the lights for our movie. It need some serious updating.
I've been going here for 7 years and never had a bad experience. Comfy seating and delicious snacks. Worth my money.
Took our children to see the new Grinch, cute movie
Nothing real notable this visit. Been going here for years as it is close to home. Women's bathroom needs serious attention. Missing locks on a lot of the stalls, standing water or urine running along the wall behind all the toilets, and trash cans were over flowing. The lobby was a ghost town as a few employees were seen in the back room, running from one end to the other. The actual theater room itself is dingy and has the "old" smell to it. Super small seats and floors that had not been swept in quite some time. As far as pricing goes, it's pretty standard.
The owners operate as if technology barely exists and I think it has always smelled funny. There's a ripped screen in one of the theatres which is ridiculous. The whole point of paying to watch a movie is kind of lost when you can't provide the proper equipment. The crew/staff were all very polite, though. The owner can't even pay his employees (most of them minors) on time either. I would do almost anything to avoid giving him any of my money.
In need of renovation. Has some decent rooms but one screen has a crack and ruined the movie experience.
Go here alot great staff fast pace
Absolutely freezing cold inside. Hard to enjoy the movie
Comfortable seating & lots of snack bar options.
Very beautiful and great prices
Improved with heating & popcorn supply. Had to return more than half the bucket 1st time had too much hulls & hard. I'm sure they don't mix the day old with the new, but they replaced quickly & without question.
Love how clean and fresh everything is and the movies are a great variety and times.. plus prices arent too expensive....plus we love the one worker shambri
Yesterday, while attending a matinee of Lion King the owner aggressively took a water bottle from my seat. Literally, reached over another costumer, grabbed my water bottle, and gave me a death stare. It was unnecessary and if I was ask nicely to discard it I would have. After doing some research I’ve learned taking water away from a customer is never allowed even if the theater has a policy. Someone could have a health condition and yesterday the state of Indiana had a heat advisory. I was with Children. I had purchased drinks, a slushy, and popcorn. I never had the intention of “sneaking” water into the theater. I’m a grown responsible adult. The weather had been extremely hot. I remembered I had water bottle and took it out for a sip. I don’t think in anyway I should of been treated so hostility.
Love the leather reclining seats!
Went there to watch the new Star Wars movie. It was clean, the popcorn was good, and the movie was great!

Went to see Magic Mike XXL on Thursday, July 9th at 6:40 pm only to be told that the movie wasn't playing. Funny since we got our info off the Showland website. The 20 ladies that came in at the same time weren't amused either! Update your website Showland!!!!
They have good mocies there some for kids, teens, and adults.
It was ok . The theater smelled like a basement
Not a lot of busy place not really new movies either
This Cinema is a gem! I will be going back again and again!

What a huge dump. The owner only cares about money, is worthless. Everyone is rude. Marshall Country should shut this place down. Went to the last movie, was told by the workers that I needed to provide them with a iPhone cable because they would be bored while I watched the movie. Then, they turned the heat off to try to freeze me out, so I would leave early. DUMP!
We normally go to the cinema 13 in Mishawaka (five stars), but decided to give Showland a shot. We both remarked that it was the "Motel Six" of movie cinemas. The workers need better training in working with customers effectively. Too much ceiling lighting during film, and the prices ridiculously exorbitant and the popcorn and beverages lacking in taste and quality. Needless, to say we will stick with Mishawaka... no more showland! Manager take note!
Absolutely freezing cold inside. Hard to enjoy the movie
Comfortable seating & lots of snack bar options.
Very beautiful and great prices
Good prices; lots of times available, staff was a little bit unprofessional.
Improved with heating & popcorn supply. Had to return more than half the bucket 1st time had too much hulls & hard. I'm sure they don't mix the day old with the new, but they replaced quickly & without question.
Nice sound, clean screen, decent ticket prices especially matinee, only downside is consession prices little high.
Terrible movie theatre. I went here today and the movie was started 10 min before the time it said on the sign and when I said something to them they acted like complete tards and wouldn't help out at all. The time before that I was watching the movie Logan, but some dumbass decided he would watch cartoons in the back room so I couldn't here the movie at all. when I complained about this again they did nothing. The time I went before that I was watching Bad Santa 2 and there was a huge rip in the screen. DO NOT GO TO THIS THEATRE. All you will get is bad service and you won't enjoy the movie. South Bend theatres are definitely worth the drive. P.S. They have terrible popcorn and watered down pop.
Love how clean and fresh everything is and the movies are a great variety and times.. plus prices arent too expensive....plus we love the one worker shambri
The staff wasn't friendly. We went to see a movie and when we got there they told us that it was only showing during the day. It was a rated R movie - why would you only show that during the day and not at night? Even though their website said it was playing at 6:40. The rude workers informed us that they don't update their website regularly. How can you expect people from a different city (many from our group lived in Rochester) to see when movies are playing and at the correct times if you don't update your website? Worst experience ever, I will drive the extra 15-20 minutes to AMC in South Bend before I spend any money at either Showland or Tri-Way supporting somebody who obviously doesn't care about customers.
The grinch was awesome!!!
Went to see the new Insidious movie. There was a rip right in the middle of the screen!!!! They did not warn us first about it either. They also left the overhead lights on during the entire movie! Bathrooms were disgusting and lights were blown out. Was so excited to see this movie and it was ruined by the theatre experience
Subpar quality in service but cant complain.
Mind blowing experience
The lights didnt turn off during the movie. I told them 3 times and no one turned them off. May as well have 200 cell phones all on cause you can't see screen. But it was our anniversary and no time to go somewhere else so we stayed to see the movie we were excited about. After I went and talked to management he said they have to keep lights on now due to an elderly woman falling. This I understood. So I mentioned to the kid that he should relay to the owners that they should consider other options. He shrugged me off and said oh well that's how it is. So I told him next time I'll have to consider going to another theater. That's when he told me to go ahead if I want to drive 45 mins! Thought it was very rude. Poor staff. I've gone to this theater for over 20 years. I have 4 kids. So we spend about 150 bucks everytime we go. And we go often. But no more. Good luck people!
Dirty and unclean
It's okay. Pretty standard for a budget cinema. I'd go back but probably won't soon.
Great show
Not the best quality, but it's a good option if you don't want to drive half an hour away and spend more money on gas than driving a mile away.
There was a huge gash in the screen, and it was right in the middle. And it was hard to watch the movie with how many bright “safety lights” they had. There was a glare on the screen from how many there were. Will never go there again.
I grew up in Plymouth and regularly went to Showland while living here. This place has gone downhill unfortunately. I went to see Downsizing while I'm home the other day, and there was an annoying rip in the screen. Also, there was popcorn underneath the seats and the theater didn't feel clean. Plus, the bathroom wasn't very clean and there are missing locks on some doors. Fixing the rip in the screen and doing some minor repairs would really help this place.
Great place but this lady was call the owner harsh names all because they wouldn't let in with Figi water I don't know about most people but I have been to 10 different theater in my life and they all had the no food or drink policy.
Owner hires high schoolers. A good first job especially since this place has high expectations of it's employees.
Wanted to go watch a movie but after reading all your reviews, noooo thank you! Cant believe places like this still exist. P.s. when you call them, no option to talk to anyone to ask about parking and if the movie is gonna have a ripped screen .
The place was excellent. Cheap but good prices, worth going to see the movie u want to watch.
Made me leave my purse at the counter even though nothing was in it that would concern them
Nice to have a local theatre. It's better now that you don't have to buy tickets with cash anymore. Eat and drink before you go.
Went there for a Tuesday night 7:30pm showing. The place is very outdated, under the seats there was decades of dropped candy and trash. A random speaker would crackle if the movie had music with a lot of bass. Went to the concession stand halfway through the movie only to be told it was closed, and the lobby was closed so I couldn't even hit the vending machine. When we left it felt like the theater was totally closed and no employees even around. The parking lot had very dim lighting that apparently was on a timer, because they all shut off before I even reached my vehicle. Not sure if $8/ticket is still a good price for a ticket or not, but I'd drive an hour away to go to a better theater.
Good except for a couple things. One screen has a rip in it so it's annoying. Then one sitting area the seats are not the best.
Nice little theater. Clean and convenient. I love the pre-show manner lesson from "Annoying Lady". She makes the point very well as she mixes her cake batter.
They don't take credit/debit card at the door, their food is overpriced, and their popcorn is usually burnt....but at least I get to watch a movie since it's the closest movie theater around....so it's okay and just convenient and that's about it....
It was okay, it wasn't very cool in there. Quite warm to be exact.
The rocking seats were comfortable. Loved it. Concession area was a mess. Didn't care too much for that, I was there for the movie.
We first walk in, there is a rip in the screen. Then half way through the movie, a light in a room behind the screen turned on. So the rest of the movie was ruined by this room that we can see through the screen. Then I go to try to talk to the "manager" Dave I believe his name is. I tell the girls behind the counter what happened. They say they will tell the manager and that he was coming now. They talk to him and he turns around and walks the other direction. Refused to talk to me. Worst experience ever. I hate this place and will never go back!
4 stars dropped to 2 stars! Went to see Lion King and spent $64 only to be turned away at the ticket taking doorman saying they were sold out! They don't have the software to tell them the amount of tickets they sell to the seating capacity ratio. The line was wrapped around outside the door and the elderly woman, who could not operate the register properly, was still selling tickets to a sold out show! They no longer give the cash discount at the concession stand anymore either. Was going to leave a 1 star review but after sitting on the bench and eating the snacks we just bought before leaving (can't eat them in the car!), they ended up using a theater room not meant for the Lion King in order to accommodate the overflow. If I, and the other people behind me, had left straight away, we wouldn't have gotten to see the movie. The accommodating room was not cleaned prior to entry, and was also half full of people. That's how many tickets they over sold! There was popcorn and wrappers everywhere, I sat in someone else's caramel and ruined my pants. I won't be returning. Original review: I can tell they're making improvements to the place. The chairs are comfortable now and they have a credit card machine. You get a discount at the concession stand when you pay in cash though. Only thing I wish was that they had a better arcade area. They have so much space and only like 3 games.
Fix your sign. #Shovland
The theater smelled awful, like mildew, the staff was very rude, and the food tasted like plastic. I do not recommend.
ALWAYS ASK first if your movie is in the theater with the RIPPED SCREEN! Annoying to pay full price to see a film with a 4 foot vertical tear in the screen(plus you will freeze in that one in winter). Very little light in the ladies restroom (it's been broken for over 3years despite numerous complaints) The theater for newest releases (with the golden handles) is nice, best picture quality in the place and the seats are comfy... The other rooms, not so much and a couple of them stink like feet.
I like Showland. They keep stuff clean mostly. I just wish they would get rid of the creepy lady at the beginning of the movies. Food is good. Polite employees.
$1 popcorn refills and free pop refills!!!
Very cold and lights stayed on during all the movie
The snack bar is INSANELY OVER-PRICED! I spent around $40 for three of us to get a drink, one popcorn to share, and a couple candies for the kids. WOW! But, it is a nice theater, comfy seating, good sound system, and very nice employees. Tickets are reasonably priced as well (esp. matinee showings). Just outrageous concession prices in an otherwise very nice establishment.

Rather drive to south bend the chairs suck very uncomfortable should of spent the extra couple of bucks to make your theater comfy for your guests.

Excellent service
It's okay. Pretty standard for a budget cinema. I'd go back but probably won't soon.
I have gone to this theater a couple of times before. I was aware that THEY DON'T ACCEPT CARDS FOR TICKETS (Ridiculous!), but knew they had an ATM within the theater. I came to the theater hoping to use their ATM because I don't carry cash. I get there and the ATM was broke. I had to then drive to another ATM and get out cash and also pay an ATM fee. I bought a box of candy because I was upset I had to drive to get money just to be a patron at their theater. I got there, bought the tickets, SPENT AN ADDITIONAL $10 on overpriced, and gross food. 3/5 of the way through the movie, someone CAME INTO OUR ROW AND INSPECTED OUR CANDY!!! We got kicked out because of the one box of candy. We then asked to speak to a manager and she was completely rude. As we were walking out she made a bunch of comments under her breath. I get that we were in the wrong for bringing in a box of candy, but come on, I just went out of my way to get money to use your theater and even bought your overpriced tickets and concessions and then you have someone LOOKING for outside food in my way while I am trying to watch the movie. I was going to contact the owner, but judging from the rest of the comments, sounds like it won't matter. Place is run down, screens are blurry as hell, and way overpriced.
I won't give my personal anecdote or anecdotes from my friends and family, because there are too many to list. They include personal searches before and after the movie, accusations of theft, etc. There have been TV news crews and multiple newspaper stories of these incidents, including not letting a mother bring in a baby bottle for her infant (no outside drinks allowed). I'm not kidding. Numerous other policies are almost as ridiculous. I think he also owns the Tri-Way Drive-In. Do yourself a favor and drive to South Bend, Warsaw, Valparaiso or better yet, go to the Melody Drive-In at Bass Lake.
Great show

Clean enviroment, nice atmosphere, crazy prices for drinks and snacks. Also they don't take credit cards.

Great place clean friendly environment we'll go back
As an employee at Showland Cinemas it is an over all friendly environment even before employment there. I'm also going to clarify a few of these reviews. There is light as the movie plays but that is for our customer's safety. And as for the concessions being expensive; we don't earn much money through tickets so our concession prices are a bit pricey, but seeing a movie wouldn't most people expect to spend money? We also mark on our bottled items so we know that it came from our theater and not from a store. It may sound crazy but most movie places will do their best try at making sure people don't bring outside food or drinks because when you go to the movies you should really buy from them, because if you don't we would not have a theater to show movies because we aren't making enough to keep it going if people get away with sneaking items in. And us "patrolling" is us just checking and making sure everything is running well. Such as; sound working good, temperature is decent, no one is being disruptive. So really we are trying to make your experience as nice as possible. You wouldn't want someones feet on the back of your seat right? You wouldn't want someone screaming or being loud during your movie, correct? That is why we come in and check on everything about every half an hour. And as for the cash only..We now take cards but you have to buy something $5 or more because if we allowed people to spend less than that we are actually losing money. Please understand a lot of these things are so we can keep the theater up and running and making sure you guys are all safe. thank you.
