Wow really nice place, super clean, friendly staff, clean bathrooms, fresh popcorn popping constantly!!! Saw a great movie with my sister. The seats are big and comfy, they also have a slight recline to them for comfort. Everyone even clapped their hands after the movie ( shameless plug 5 feet apart)! Great place, decent prices too. Nice place to take your special person on a date. Many choices here even IMAX and moving seats???? Well I never.....but maybe I will try that next time.

One if the few locations with a true IMAX screen, it's huuuge and the best to see a movie in 3D. They have special events with classic movies replayed and other content from some historic shows from TV. If you desire you can have a beer or your favorite mixed drink made to watch your movie from the bar.

Great atmosphere. The refreshments prices are decent compared to other theaters. Seating are decent. GDX theater is huge. The sound is remarkable. They replaced the arcade with a lounge area. There is a bar for those that want a adult beverage. Ive booked the party rooms a few times at a reasonable price for a birthday party.

Headphones for the hearing impaired did not function properly. I complained about it during the previews and was told when the movie began it would work. I returned again when the movie started because it was not working and the staff member said it was because it was not turned on when given to me. I then had to return 3 more times because it continued to disconnect. This resulted in me having to get up several times during the beginning of the movie to have the staff reprogram & switch the equipment out. I missed the beginning of the movie and was given a refund for my ticket, however my movie going experience was definitely effected in a negative way. The staff didn't seem to care and acted like a refund would just "make me go away" I voiced my displeasure to the management even though it landed on deaf ears. I doubt I'll frequent this thearter in the future. Better training with this equipment is a must, and better customer service needs to be addressed.

Good "movie theatre" qualities (i.e., good sound and picture quality and the extreme angle of the stadium incline means your view won't be blocked by people in the row in front) but not particularly comfortable. Seats are too short and hard. (The edge hits my thighs above my knees and I am only 5'4"). The walk up a stairway to the stadium seating was an unwelcome surprise. If you need to hold the railing as you go up or down, bring your Lysol wet wipes; the railing is horribly sticky. The restroom was clean. Personally, I'm much more comfortable at home.

Outstanding. I live a mile from the AMC's in Schererville which are a total pit. I drive the distance to the Goodrich 16 because they're so nice and much cheaper for admission and concessions. Well worth the trip.

The movie theater in Portage is very nice and I enjoy going with my family. But the thing I don’t like is the butter on the popcorn doesn’t taste like real butter to me and my family. I asked for extra butter and was changed for extra but I tasted nothing. My family doesn’t think it tastes buttery either. We might have to start bring in our own butter just so we can taste it. Oh, and the butter they put on the popcorn is salty too. Well this is only our opinion. But if you want buttery popcorn, you’re not really going to get it there. I just wish it tasted like real butter and actually had a taste. This makes the movie watching experience a little less than enjoyable! But other than that, it’s a nice place to go.

Honestly amazing theater! Screens, deals, BUT THE girls at the ticket counter, NOT IMPRESSIVE! I handed the girl the passes and she literally scoffed at me! "Ugh I hate these. I don't know how to use these", I was in utter disbelief that she had the audacity to do such a thing not only to me but in front of my 3 year old. Since she didn't know Joe too do get job. She asked another girl, she then compounded the situation further by making things up as she went along... 1st it was " I don't know if there's a difference"?, "what kind of movie did you see"? "Got have to pay the difference since this is a "basic" pass ((at this point I'm getting the feeling to just walk out and forget the whole excursion that i promised my 3 year old)) HOWEVER, nothing is stipulated nor written on the ticket, after they surveyed it. She walk off and at this point, i'm there already over 5 minutes. A guy comes up, I think his name is Nate and adores the first girl that it's waived to see any movie "as a courtesy", now this is the point of 10 minutes and FINALLY when she hangs me the tickets, she says "here's your tickets"! I'm blown away!! No "sorry for the inconvenience", "sorry for the wait", "we're going to fix it", NOTHING!! 1ST time here, nowhere near a great experience!

The best theatre in the area. When seeing movies in the IMAX, you have to pick your seats, which is great for buying in advance. I don't like being charged a convenience fee when buying tickets either on their website or thought their app. Plenty of parking, quite a few restaurants nearby, so dinner and a movie is really easy. Don't forget to sign up for their loyalty card to get discounts on concessions.

My husband & I love to go to this theatre. It's like an old time neon theatre on the outside. Always very clean on the inside. With their fmg rewards card (that's free) you can see any movie on Tuesday for 5.00. You accumulate points for purchases and can earn free popcorn, pop, & even tickets. The staff is great there too. There is an actual moving seats (DX) theatre also, very cool.

Though, we do miss having the other air hockey table. My son likes to play both the air hockey and basketball games. Its a great treat for him when he does well in school. I highly recommend using their frequent movie goer card. I rarely ever pay for concessions because of it.

Always a great experience. Pro Tip: buy tickets in advance online to skip the lines. Saves you at least 10 - 15 minutes of waiting. Make sure you pickup tickets at theatre (kiosk area) print out tickets! Do not print the tickets from printer. Don't do it Enjoyed last few times I have been here. always choose the IMAX theatre. The last movie I saw was IT CHAPTER 2 AND LOVED THE RED BALLOONS WALKING INTO THE THEATRE. EXCELLENT

I prefer this theater over the one in my own hometown and drive an extra 15 minutes just to go here. Seats are more comfortable, food is way better, and it's always staffed adequately. My grandma tripped and spilled her popcorn and an employee offered to refill it and let us stay in the theater. Top notch everything here.

This is me and my fiance's go-to theater. We love it. Big screen, seats are pretty comfy, and customer service is great. They sell a few alcoholic beverages as well which is nice. Would be even better if they added a food menu aside from the traditional concession items that we are used to, but hey...it works.

GQT Portage is large, open and clean. There is plenty of parking and plenty of doors to get in. For my most recent visits I have been getting e-tickets. Whenever I arrive to the theater, the equipment to scan and print my ticket always works on the 1st attempt. This is great because there are no delays from car to theater seat.

The experience overall was ok. Very friendly service, great icee but extremely salty popcorn. We bought tickets for the DBox experience. It was great for being our first time here unfortunately my legs were dangling, which after 40mins into the movie my knees started to hurt. This has never happened to me at other movie theaters.

I prefer this theater over the one in my own hometown and drive an extra 15 minutes just to go here. Seats are more comfortable, food is way better, and it's always staffed adequately. My grandma tripped and spilled her popcorn and an employee offered to refill it and let us stay in the theater. Top notch everything here.

This is me and my fiance's go-to theater. We love it. Big screen, seats are pretty comfy, and customer service is great. They sell a few alcoholic beverages as well which is nice. Would be even better if they added a food menu aside from the traditional concession items that we are used to, but hey...it works.

This theater is very spacious & well kempt. They have a really wide & tasty selection of food & drinks that include; hot dogs, tenders, popcorn, soda, slushies etc.. You can reserve a room if you'd like to have a party there. They even have a bar! I went to see a 7pm showing of Booksmart, it was great until the screen suddenly went black; there was still sound but no picture. It was the very 1st showing of that film but it was only me in the theater. I told some employees that were around & they handled it very professionally. A few other theaters were having some issues too. Unfortunately they couldn't get the projector fixed, but their manager; Erin I think was her name, offered to refund my ticket or wait to the 9:40pm showing in a different theater room. I decided to wait for the later showing & Erin was so nice & explained everything very well & even gave me a couple coupons! Despite the technical errors that occurred, I enjoyed the film & will definitely be coming back! Would certainly recommend this place! Erin & all the other employees that were so kind definitely deserve raises for all their efforts & hospitality!

Went to see "Mary Poppins Returns" on Christmas night, appx 6:15 showing. Usually I go to the Box Office for tickets, but this time I used the automated service / kiosk. It was very easy to use and it really expedites the process. I used my debit card (don't think you can pay cash there). Once I received my ticket, went to the concession stand where I ordered my popcorn a specific way. Although it sucks to work on holidays, my cashier was very willing to make my popcorn like I asked without any attitude or bitterness for having to work on Christmas. The ticket-taker was pleasant as well. The only reason for 4 / 5 stars, and we can all agree here, is that a small popcorn and drink are NOT worth $10. Merry Christmas!

Many arrived too early because of a communication glitch, but the staff and theatre manager handled it with efficiency and grace to save the day and made it a very satisfying event. Thank you to the manager and his staff for a job well done! Thank you for all who planned and executed it for "Seniors on the Go". Good breakfast and a wonderful movie afterwards! The lady who sold me a ticket was very patient and helpful. It was downhill from there. The theater waa too cold The seats were not all that comfortable . As I left and wished the workers a good night, no one uttered a word. Not even the manager, she looked at me and looked the other way. It was very friendly.

They aren't keeping up with this theater. Was in GDX theater....seats chosen had sticky substance smeared on the floor. Told an attendant....girl showed up with a broom. A broom isn't effective for that sort of mess. Ended up just sitting elsewhere as the theater wasn't close to full. Please maintain the theater better....no one wants to sit in filth.

Bucket seats are comfy but aisles too and so people bump your seat while you are watching movie. Popcorn gave me diahrea. Not the tidiest theatre compared to other places. Patrons not the friendliest. So give you free refills and flavor on lowgrade popcorn.

Really like this theater. Don't suggest ordering hot food, the wait is very long. They don't start cooking it when you order it, they start when you get to the front of the hot food line. We arrived 20 minutes before our movie, but were late because of it.

Still unbelievable to me how their lobby floors are SO sticky. Feels like you can not walk comfortably ever. IMax theater was nice, surprisingly floors not sticky. Sound and picture are good. Easy to pick up pre-ordered tickets or skip the line and buy tickets at a kiosk altogether.

Best Popcorn Anywhere!! Took my Autistic son for his first movie! The young woman at the ticket booth was so sweet! When I asked the refund policy, she was very understanding. I made sure to tell her it went great, and she was happy for us!

I love this place & if you hv one of their cards they hv a movie for FREE Mon-Fri @ 10am older kid movies of course but it's nice for the kids to hv something to look foward to every week! Also with the card you get points towards free food & drinks!
