This Movie Theater belongs to the category of Movie theater.
It's a place close to my heart.. always looking forward in visiting again....
Great theater for a cheaper price! They also have a bar inside. Theater is always clean. While the seats aren't "stadium" seats like the big theaters, I've never had trouble seeing the screen.
My favorite theater. Super vintage vibes.
Amazing old world movie cinema.
This is one of my favorite theatres. It's cozy but there is still enough space in the aisles to move around comfortably. They have a great selection of snacks and the popcorn is great. The bathrooms are always very clean.
Cool place been there alot!
As a theater, the layout could be improved upon as the ticket booth is so close to the entry that people have to line outside during inclement weather. The bar is a great idea. But I feel sorry for the singular bartender on a busy Saturday night. You'll have to fight for a drink. The movie auditorium was comfy.
This theater has throwback movies that start at 12 at night and sometimes they have double features which means that you leave the theater at 3:30 sometimes 4:00 in the morning they have where you can come in and watch movies cartoons in your pajamas and eat cereal they have theme events which is awesome is worth checking out there listening so you can come out and visit
Great theater with a bar. Easy to get in, and now with new seats, comfy too!
Great value and comfortable seating. I love the vintage decor and neighborhood feel - they host a lot of fun events here. The staff is very friendly. The bar/lounge area is really nice too.
Great theatre!@
A great place to watch a movie
First the exclusive preview was great and the theater was old and quaint and cool!
The Music Box of Logan Square!
I love this theater. It’s got a great vintage theater vibe and a nice bar/lounge area. We usually get there early and grab a beer to take into the movie. They show new releases as well as old classics.
Iconic. New seats are soooooo comfy.
One of my favorite theaters especially for the price the only reason it gets four stars is the picture and sound quality. Amazing price and lots of smaller films and older films
Seat are great and the quality is awesome. But the best thing is that nice wood smell.
Great old theatre with a bar and popcorn with REAL butter!
One of my childhood theaters that was within walking distance. Now converted with 4-screens too add more variety of movies, adult lounge with adult drinks. Seats have been changed for more comfort and reason for the 4 stars is because no parking nearby cause its located within the neighborhood. Few areas on ceiling need to be addressed as well.
This is the second time I have been here, and I absolutely love this place! Really unassuming theater, yet quaint, homey, and inviting. Everyone who works here is very friendly and helpful, that make you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in to the establishment. It is very reasonably priced for a theater, with comfy movie seating. The popcorn here is the "pièce de résistance." They use REAL BUTTER!!! Who does that?!?! And they also have free seasonings that you can sprinkle over it!!! Highly recommended that everyone watches their movies here! I will definitely be doing so, for anything and everything that I’m able to see playing.
This is a classic theater in the heart of Logan square. It's good for their showcases of classic movies, but not so much for recent releases that attract crowds. Since it's unassigned seating, if you end up in the front rows, you'll be looking up more than 60 degrees and straining your neck the entire time. However, if you get nicer back seats, the projection and sound are both pretty decent and the seating is comfortable.
Always a good place to watch a movie and grab drinks and/or popcorn/soda. The theater remains consistent as everything else around it changes!
Awesome neighborhood theatre
Cheap tickets. Beautiful place and they play the lastest flicks. 10 bucks for an evening ticket vs the big brands? Can't get better.
Vintage, but nice place! Good prices and delicious popcorn !
Clean remodeled with excellent sound. No protein food (meat) but well stocked bar.
Beautifully restored, first run and late night movies. They host many events and activities. Great neighbors in the community. Stewards of a historic American treasure.
They let me bring in my empty coffee cup. Please don’t tell them I filled it with the water there.
Great place to see a movie!
We go to movie trivia almost every Tuesday here & it’s one of the highlights of my week (it’s fun even if you know nothing about movies, but follow their fb for hints about that weeks themes). The best deal are the little boxes of wine. They just decorated the bar for Halloween & the decorations are hella classy & thoughtful (not just bats although I love bats!) The worst thing about this place is all the plastic - they force you to get your booze in plastic if you’re going into a movie, even though other boozy cinemas in town trust you with glass. I tried to bring my own cup & the bartender refused, although I’m sure I’ll try again. New bartenders keep trying to put things in plastic even if you’re sitting at the bar. If you’re trying to avoid single use plastic, it’s enough to make someone sneak in their own liquor, like we did at the old Logan theatre. I want to support this neighborhood gem, but I’m begging them to switch to more sustainable practices around single use plastic. Also, it’s is the saltiest movie popcorn in the whole city. I expect movie popcorn to be trashy, but the amount of salt is insane.
Affordable and cute.
Theater is a little small but it was great time to see the last avengers movie❤❤
Small and comfy. Seats are decent and it's first come first served so make sure you get well before the movie starts. They have midnight shows too.
This a beautifully restored theater. It has new, comfortable, semi-reclining seats. There are cocktails, conventional concessions, and coffee available. This is my favorite theater.
Throwback movie theater experience (smaller screens, no stadium seating) in a beautiful setting with a full bar and really nice staff members. Support this local independent theater! The big chains are doing fine.
Cool neighborhood theatre! Show classic movies at like 11 most nights I believe, but the concessions prices are pretty high (average, really) and the screen in the theatre I went to was very high, so i had to lean back in my seat aggressively to comfortably look at the screen. That being said, not toooo bad and totally worth it for the classic movies.
Visited for CUFF, 'Where Does A Body End' premiere. Was really impressed with the stylized mid-century deco, modern atmosphere: the marquee, lounge/bar & refreshment stands, and plush hinged theater seats with great sound. A strong presence for independent cinema as well as first-runs.
I will never go back there. Wouldn't sell me tickets because I had my 1 month old daughter.
Best ticket pricing for 1st run movies. All the traditional food fair and beer/wine. Great staff.
Great experience. Cool area. Good movies.
Cool atmosphere, nice people, and decent prices. Had a great time being there.
Very nice atmosphere
A great little indie theatre. Well maintained with a bar and typical theatre fare. They play pretty standard Hollywood films, but offset that with regular special showings of all different types of movies, like classics, B reals, anime, and more.
Great cinema for the price! Vintage feel but it still has quality screens and sound systems. The staff is incredibly friendly and they have good drinks as well.
Great place for a movie with popcorn and coke or a beer!
This is one if my favorite places in the city. It's intimate, has a friendly staff, is more than affordable compared to other theaters, and had a great concession stand as well as a full bar. It only has a few screens and lacks bell's and whistles, sure... but if you can find a way to live without reclining seats, you'll fall in love.
The customer service is great. The atmosphere friendly and pleasant. And the movie with popcorn and slurpy awesome... Recomended to everyone!!
Experience was good. My cousin and I went to see the showing of Beetlejuice. There was a line, but we got in pretty quickly, got our seats and the crowd wasn't overly unruly, as they can be at late night shows. I'd totally go back.
I have been a patron for over 40yrs, it has always been a great experience.
Have you ever been to a movie theater and the screen is so large that all you end up doing is closing your eyes because of all of the flashing and confusion? I really like this theater because it had one of the older smaller screens that is much easier to watch, for me.
This goddam theatre searched my bag everywhere to make me drop my to go food, I left the food on front desk and they just stolen it!!These thefts!! I am a film director and I feel this theatre doesn't care about the cinema things at all but just care about how much they can earn from their bar, I will never come to this theatre again!
It's beautiful and convenient a childhood favorite now adult favorite a block from my house
It was supposedly remodeled but it looks pretty much the same. As far as seats, they are not comfortable at all.
Love the renovations they've done here. One of my favorite places to see a movie. Can always get a good seat. Make sure to only check in 20 mins before though, if you're using Movie pass
Really enjoyed the atmosphere. Seating leans back but managed to get comfortable. Like the bar and cafe area also.
Great price for movie tickets! Seats were soft, great tasting pretzels and popcorn. I went here to see Ready Player One with my brother. Overall a great theater to spend the afternoon or night with your friends and family. I recommend going there before 6:00 PM because tickets sell for $7 each.
Had a great time last Friday seeing my first movie at the Logan Theatre! I loved the vintage feel. I truly felt like I was stepping into the past a bit with the way things operate there as opposed to touch-screen ticketers, etc. Excited to become a frequent regular for new and old movies!
I am a senior i went to the matinee to see once upon a time un hollywood ..i gave the guy a fifty he brought me 40 back i asked him about the senior discount he said there was none I asked him about the before 4 price he said there was none I came in at 1 pm I should have gotton a discount ..I looked on my phone today and saw the ticket prices that guy ripped off a senior citizen on a walker ...what an a hole ....furthermore this place should be called Logan tavern since it had more alcohol than food ..what a dump and one last thing they shouldn't be serving alcohol in a theatre where children go either that should be against the law.
The most affordable movie theater around. This classic theater makes a movie half the price of the regals and AMCs not too far from it
The food was good. I was there for the trivia night on behalf of the Lupus Society of Illinois associate board. Great bonding experience.
Was my first time in a theatre in USA I felt like a movie
Ir was a nice day and in the theater us very cold fans on and when i said something the older man said smily leave you coat on. Not good..
Great old style movie theater. Service is good. Clean seats. Great place to go on a date.
The bar staff at Logan theater are freaking awesome. I was coming out of the Lion King completely sober when I made the decision to jaywalk. As soon as I stepped down, I stepped right into a pot hole on these fine Chicago streets. I collapsed, twisted my ankle, and blacked out. My best friend ran back into the lounge where she got napkins and a whole zip lock bag of ice. I learned 2 things: 1) the Logan staff is freaking great and 2) never jaywalk again! Thanks guys!
Clean and cozy theatre great place go for new and old movies
The extensive remodeling and comfortable seating are note worthy. Beyond that I was disappointed with the hipster pretentious vibe of the workers. For example: the ticket booth is there only for nostalgic purposes, and I was redirected by a snotty young woman to inside the lounge where a young man who was clearly high sold me a seat to "The Shining" and a large popcorn. When I asked what kind of topping that is used in their popcorn the young man looked at me as if he was confused. He didn't understand what topping meant. He works in a theater and doesn’t know what toppings are. The whole yesteryear vibe is retarded when you have gen Y idiots too high and busy to help you. Golden age thinking doesn’t equal excellent service and entertainment value. What you have here is an old theater with some new seating (some broken) attached to a creepy bar and all managed with hipster values. Save your money and go to the AMC in the loop. For a few more dollars you get a lot more value and a lot less attitude.
The ambiance is cool, but the projection is subpar at best. The screen is too wide and too high. It's really hard to enjoy a movie in these conditions. I felt like I was watching a bootleg version. But the place/decoration/feel is really cool.
Love everything about this place but the new seats are awful. You either lean all the way back or you have to sit straight up. The slightest pressure on the backrest and you go all the way back. Great prices. Great bar. Great pretzels and popcorn with real butter. Good staff.
Low prices, I ordered for my kids the kid menu with popcorn and was very delicious for them
Had a great time there the employees were very friendly
Please don't change a thing. This theater is beautiful. Love this place.
I've been patronizing the logan theatre since the age of 14. A greek family we were acquainted with owned it then, when there was just a single screen and the price fit the neighborhood. Now it belongs to the millennial generation! You can now wine and dine there
Great theater!
One of my favorite theatres in the city. It isnt the AMC or anything, but it is cheap, great options for food and beer... and its popular among the locals. Well worth a visit.
It may not be the most updated but I love it
Love having this as my local theater. Clean. Comfortable. Great food and bar. I swear their mac n cheese bites have crack. They are a given whenever I go.
This theater is nice. They remodeled it recently and I'm glad they did. The decor and theme of old-timey cinema is cute! The popcorn is good, the service is good. No complaints. Will definitely come here again.
$9 for a movie, well worth it. It might not have assigned seats and fancy reclining chairs, but the theater is in good shape and well worth the price of the ticket.
I love this small but mighty theater. It has vintage charm, a great drink and movie selection, and you can't beat the prices!
Always clean, friendly, and available; good sound and dark theaters; say hi to Anna behind the bar :)
That front row seat should not even be there. I felt like an open pez dispenser . I had to bend way back to see the movie . Had a horrible time .
Art Deco with a nice lounge, first run movies.
Nice old timey theater with friendly staff, good snacks, a cool lounge and fair prices
Grab a box of wine, best deal in town
My favorite place to see movies in the city! Good prices, cool bar, good popcorn
Love this theatre! Always fun. Screens aren't huge, and the seats aren't the most comfortable, but the experience is always fantastic and charming. Additionally, the selection of movies is always impressive--they get all the blockbusters in quickly, and do a great job of curating an eclectic and fun arrangement of movies from cult-classics, to holiday movies, to great movies you just need to see on the big screen.
Such a fun movie-going experience. Definitely a staple of the neighborhood!
I used to really love this place but the new management is making it boring and sterile. I was given two free passes when I rented my new apt and after a long time I finally found a film I wanted to see there. I noticed on the free passes that it said" check our website to see what screenings it can be used for ". Then when I got to the theatre they told me it can't be used for any new release within the first two weeks. Really Logan theatre? Are times that tough? And to print a courtesy pass on a ticket that ended up being such a discourtesy adds insult to injury. When does a film even play for more than two weeks in this day and age?
Love the Logan! Bought tickets online ahead of time, picked them up at the box office, enjoyed the tasty popcorn with real butter, and saw a good movie. Local business with a nice lounge attached.
The young man taking tickets from me May 23rd at 10pm was incredibly rude. We were going to the last showing of the night and were entering 10 min late. He demanded to search us and upon finding a water bottle accused us of smuggling liquor. I tried getting him to smell it but he said we woupd have to theow the whole thing away. The entire time being very smug and rude. My wife and I were so insulted we decided to leave. I will definitely not being going to this theater anymore which is disappointing because it is the closest one to me. This is not the first encounter I've had here with rude teenage staff.
Beautiful and comfortable. The staff could be more friendly. They will ignore a customer at the popcorn/snack concession and keep socializing with each other when a register is available! Food is great! Pls be kind!
Love the old theater. Hate the traffic and parking.
Great vintage theater, with low price tickets and fantastic popcorn. The bar is also top notch. And besides the latest movies they also regularly show classic films.
Great as always one of my favorite theaters to go to and I love supporting the community businesses where I grew up in. Being part of this theater over 20years now and I plan to continue, love the way everyone makes you feel good with their services.
An historic experience watching a movie. The place is beautifully set in the city.
This place is such a cute older theater that I always enjoy to go to. Very family oriented with that classic cinema feel.
Tiny, no frills, and AWESOME. Love that they have a bar and they also have some awesome food options as far as movie theaters go. They only have a couple theaters so they usually don’t have a huge array of movies but when they do have something good, it’s always a great time.
Old school theater with tons of old movies and double features
I don’t go out to see movies that often, but Logan Theater makes me want to! I love that they have late-night, older movie showings. Feels intimate with smaller theaters and very comfortable seats. Plus you can have adult beverages while you watch! Can’t wait to visit again.
I LOVE coming here!! The leg room is unparalleled. The prices are great too! My advice is COME EARLY, there are usually only 1 or 2 previews and they turn off the lights RIGHT AWAY so it's difficult to find a seat.
Love this place! Cheap tickets and concessions and always friendly staff. This is always my first choice if the movie I want to see is playing there.
Unbeatable value and a good beer selection. As cozy as a theater can be.
Top of the cream
Hidden gem and basically like walking into a movie set itself
My family moved into Logan Square 1972 2 weeks before Christmas Yes I was a teenager I had no say! and have been going there since, it reminds me of the movie "Majestic" with Jim Carrey, When the owner stood at the entrance and greeted its patrons. The staff are friendly the renovation is great they kept the nostalgic decor of yesterday nice move A very nice theatre You ought to make a visit and take pictures of your visits they have an indoor bar yes I know and you can take it into the movie your about to see how cool is that!!!! You don't believe , come on down and look for yourself, they have a seating area where you could sit and wait until your movie starts or you could sit out side ala fresco and eat snacks. Recent movies as well.
My frist time after 20 yr i could hear the movie in the next theater room and people cell phone ringing !
Clean theater, fair pricing for the city.
Really, really good neighborhood Movie Place. I remember when this used to be a real dump. I saw movies there and walked out since all the damn chairs had springs poking you. The owners have done a GREAT Job of revamping the place. The movies are affordable, the concessions are priced fairly; there is even a bar to drink before and after. Most importantly the movies are curated well. You get a choice of Indie and popular stuff. they also have regular midnight showings of cult faves. There is a wonderfully retro looking lounge area for you to lounge in. What can I say. This is among my favorite places in town to watch movies. This, along with the Music Box, Landmark and the Siskel film Center are my go to places when I want to watch something. Thank you to the owners for converting a dilapidated wreck into something quite as beautiful as this.
Nicely revamped theater. They serve alcohol and allow you to take into the theater.
I used to love the run down Logan, so I was hesitant to try it out when they renovated it a few years ago. Luckily they did a great job and while it isn't as cheap as it used to be the experience is better all around. Shout-out to Ken who always remembers me and greets me warmly!
A nice local theatre - I usually come for their 11pm throwback movies.
An older styled movie theatre with a bar. So if you are 21+ you can enjoy a drink before the show or take it inside with you to the show. There is a concession as well with family friendly food and beverages. The ticket prices are reasonable. However, they do not always show the newest of movies that are fresh on the market so be sure to check the schedule to be sure what they are currently showing as well as what is coming up.
I took a date here to see _Guardians of the Galaxy_ here in 2014. Things eventually fizzled between us, regrettably, but I don't regret taking her to a beautifully refurbished old-timey theater like this, especially as they show a blend of new releases and vintage revivals. And they have a bar in the lobby!
Great historic theater with a bar. And yes, you can take your drinks into the movies.
Great place to catch a movie in Logan Square! They offer a student discount which is a nice way to save a few $$s!
Good nostalgic movie theater
A nice theater with a full service bar and snacks
First time there. It is a beautiful and elegant antique movie theater. Many collectible original movie posters. I was expecting poor sound quality, but I was wrong. They have a small bar. Tuesdays movie trivia night and deals here and there. My deal was any movie at any time for $5.00 + $5 refillable popcorn + $5 refillable large soda + $5 margaritas. I will go again for sure. ❤️
Nice looking art deco design. Place was clean nice and able to show smaller produced shows. Was there for a Irish promoted show. Chairs are very good recliner type but without the foot riser. Had tap as well as wide range of mixed drinks. Typical other items seem at other theaters but done nicely.
Great prices, Great selection of movies, cool staff and completely clean. I'm yet to have a bad experience at this theater and hope I never do. Others should take notice and follow their example.
Cute neighborhood theater to go see new releases and old favorites. Facility is a bit outdated but it has a ton of charm.
Love my Logan Theater, going there since the 80 with my two kids now grown up, the bring their kids too, now modernize, it's a great neighborhood & family place!!!
Somewhat old fashion and yet very personal theater. Great experience. No recliners but comfortable seats.
Nice cozy theatre.
I absolutely love that I live within walking distance from The Logan. The monthly late night screening series, the weekly comedy and trivia events, the great bar staff, and the super cheap prices on tickets and concessions. I love what this theater does for the community.
Clean, inexpensive, mega retro feel, and great bar options! This theater rocks :)
Cool place to catch a movie. $10/ticket got us in for a 930 showing of Joker. Cant complain about that.
Great ambience. Fair ticket prices. Decent theater presentation.
Wonderful movie theater. Excellent ticket prices. Has a bar. Beautiful decor and old movie posters. Great for dates or family outings.
Great atmosphere
It's a nice mid-century styled movie theater with nice seats, awesome pretzels and AMAZING jalapeño salt popcorn seasoning. They even have a bar if you feel like getting sloshed.
One of my favorite theaters in existence. The cocktail menu is also out of this world good with fun movie puns for names.
The coziest little theater. I love this place. They have special midnight showings that are fun to catch, they host trivia, and always have the latest films. I think there are 3 to 4 theaters inside. I appreciate the bar and hot chocolate!
Logan Theatre is a clean, modern theatre that is designed to look very vintage. It's much smaller than theatres like Music Box, but the quality and vibe are much different. Good matinee prices for military and students ($7.50 I think). There is also a cool lounge for drinking and hanging out before or after a film. I believe there are four screens. They usually have three wide release films and at least one indie movie. Cool theatre.
Wonderful old-school theatre with great cocktails and decent munchies. If you've never been to a theatre with a bar, this is definitely a place to visit!
So much fun great old school movie theatre
Super vintage. Prices are affordable. Staff are friendly. I definitely felt like a queen with all of the fancy vintage going on. A great place to go with your friends and watch a movie. I will admit, tickets are affordable but they make up for it my their food prices. Still loved my experience!
Walked a mile to the theater and their movie times didn't match Fandango so I was going to have to wait 90 minutes for the next showing. Air conditioning was also out in one of the theaters so they stopped showing movies in that of the theaters
Very friendly staff, nice sized screen, and recent movies too. Their concessions still cost an arm and a leg at $13 for a large drink and a popcorn but i guess thats how they cover their operation fees? Still though not that bad. Drink is big enough to share and refillable and popcorn too. Not bad for a date night. I plan to keep an eye on their older movie showings. I'll sit here and pray to whatever malevolent god I need to if they can get The Evil Dead on their screen. I'm a huge fanatic about this film and id love to see it in theater. Oh, also the building is really nice in the interior. Very vintage.
Here's the thing, if you're going to have a rule or a policy, make sure that it works to the benefit of your customers and makes your place an overall better experience. This place was cute but if you just went to dinner and have any leftovers that you're excited about they won't let you into the theater (after you've given them money for tickets of course) OR they make you throw them in the trash. Even if you've also purchased from their concession stand. You've managed to extract money from my wallet in all the ways you'd expect and you're still causing me to waste food? I saw another couple digging their things out of the trash afterwards because the same thing happened to them, not a good look. This policy doesn't benefit your goal. Won't be coming back here.
I love that the neighborhood kept this old school theatre. Great memories as a kid. Nice lounge.
Cheap tickets, nice atmosphere, a nice selection of alcoholic drinks, surprising old movies, perfect location.
Great way to watch classic films. Go check out my YouTube channel “Jaysum Hunter” for all your motivational needs!
Cheep tickets if you get there early you can choose wherever you want to pick. Food and drinks are a reasonable price, also the staff are very friendly to costumers
Drinks, Art Deco interiors and screening of old movie.
Awesome Theater been coming to this place since I was little.
Trivia night on Tuesdays is a great time for movie enthusiasts! Great bar and environment!
What isn't there to love about Logan theatre?! It's got character, it's got booze they play new movies as well as old classics. Thank you for existing!
A charming place to see films. It's very pleasant not to be bombarded with ads before a movie. If you smile and ask the bartender politely, you might find yourself with a free club soda. Tickets are also very affordable, and you're in walking distance from all of Logan Square's best restaurants. I hope the Logan never changes.
Good prices and loved the old theater atmosphere
Old time feel, modern screens and snacks
Awesome movie theater. Cheaper tickets than the chains, cool old school vibes. Bar offers good selection of beer, wine, and cocktails all reasonably priced. Would recommend.
favorite place in chicago to see movies. great selection of beers and great prices.
Great local cinema, look forward to visiting again!
I absolutely love this gem in the city....very quaint and eclectic! Has a retro-style to it. They additionally have art work of the ole skool movies!
Child Memories i still attend at times. Im still close to the Logan Square neighborhood
Great place. Retro style. A tad pricey for concessions. Worth it though
