Here we offer you all the opinions of people like you who are purchasing the products of Landmark\'s Century Centre Cinema (Movie Theater) in the area close to the state of Illinois.
At the moment the firm has a rating of 4.5 out of 5 and that rating was based on 919 reviews.
As you can read, its rating is basically the best, and it is based on a high number of opinions, so we can think that the assessment is very faithful. If many people have bothered to leave their score when they've done well with the service, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to write tatings when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Movie Theater is classified in the category of Movie theater.
Great theater. Love that you can choose your seats for some shows and that there's a bar.
Great place to see a movie! Full bar has better selection than some other theaters. Theaters have stadium seating and seats have decent amount of recline. Surprisingly was not sold out for opening weekend of a huge movie release! Just wish they had a loyalty/repeat customer program.
Great art house movie theater.
Always a great place to escape to. The kind of movies that transport the viewer.
I love this theater. The arts movie selections are great, but most of all they have the best popcorn EVER!!! And they offer real butter. I'm totally addicted.
I always enjoy going there.
Would normally give this 4 stars -- but an axe throwing facility has opened in the lowest level of this open atrium building. Last weekend (3-10-18) we could hear the sound of the axes hitting the wooden targets throughout the movie. It was so distracting! We spent just under $50 for tickets & concession food. The staff said they'd received many complaints. We like this theatre & go there frequently but will not return as long as the axe facility is there. .
What an amazing movie theater experience. Evan was great, so friendly, knowledgeable, and made the best popcorn!
Awesome! Beautiful architecture! Love the stairway! Great spot with good customer service. They got BEER!!
It's a really good theater, near my home and cheap
Not the best theater in Chicago to watch a movie but the renovated bar before you enter the theatre is FANTASTIC!! Great layout and great drinks. They even allowed us to buy a whole bottle of white ($28 - so not crazy expensive) and take it into the theatre with 2 glass wine glasses.
I like that this cinema is so big, cuz it makes it seem like it's always quiet even when it's busy. They have a full bar/lounge area near the concession stand, so if you come early, you can hangout in plush chairs with a cocktail before your movie starts
I was at Aveda
Love this artsy movie house!!
I love that this theater plays movies that are hard to find elsewhere. However, they have a severe sound issue. At my latest visit, I could hear the theater next to mine to the point that it was shaking the seats. It was hard to "lose yourself" in the movie when all I could hear was pounding bass and creaky chairs.
favorite movie theater just have a small selection of movies
They make a good old fashion!
Great bar, food, nice selection of independent films
Love the acoustics of this place and projector are amazingly good
Very comfortable theaters, amazing seats, clean restrooms, expensive concessions.
movie night was a good one in yearly june
Nice place to see larger, independent film. But, does not need to be this expensive.
They redid this Theatre and have a new bar while you wait. It's really nice place to get food and drinks. The theaters are big and comfy. They have a good selection of movies
Probably the best movie theater in Chicagoland, in terms of programming. Always something interesting to watch. Foreign, "Auteur", quirky; you name it, they got it. Location is great too, in a walking neighborhood, full of restaurants and storefronts. Parking is cheap and convenient. My only complaint is that the sound is pushed loud, not different than in the more conventional "mainstream" multiplexes.
This is my favorite movies venue not only because is close by my home but also they manage reasonable prices in comparison to others the popcorn is oily and unhealthy like every theater but definitely delicious and the staff is very nice.
E-tickets, Yay Good movies, concessions Ok. They have a bar, but I haven't partaken. Staff friendly and professional. Get parking validated, then it's only $4.00.
Good selection of movies..
Pleasant setting and service oriented. I feel very fortunate for specific customer service issue that arose during my first visit ever. Thank you for saving my evening, on Christmas Eve of all nights.
The theater is hidden in a mall that is not very active. The experience itself was good. It is close to all the restaurants and outing places. I wouldn't hesitate to go again but I do think there is room for improvements in terms of the offerings and cleanliness.
Great movie theatre, full bar and good service. Shows few blockbusters, mostly indie/arthouse films.
Gorgeous theater. Great film selection, fantastic projection and very comfortable seating. The food and drink options are great and reasonably priced as well. Excellent staff too. One of the best theaters in the city.
I was at the Landmark Theater to see the film on Aretha Franklin Amazing Grace it was fantastic it was all about her recording the album Amazing Grace I think everyone should go and see it the theater of course it's very nice all of it people that she in the work that was very nice very gracious from showing you your seat at telling you where to go the people behind the counter selling the snacks
Love the films they show here, and they are one of the few that accept movie pass
Good theatre that has all the indies. Comfortable seats, bar, and friendly staff. Have gone here multiple times for movie or once a month they have the Midwest Film Festival.
Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place. The seating has awkward reclining actions that basically forces you forward, and you have no legroom if someone is sitting in front of you (and I'm just the average height at 5'10"). The floors were also sticky. That would be fine by itself, but ticket prices fairly high compared to other theaters, especially since I went during the week. If you want a more "premium" movie experience, stick with either the Michigan 9 downtown or the Century 12 in Evanston. For cheap tickets, I would recommend the 400 theater. The one employee that I did talk with was nice though, and the theater does show films that frequently don't play elsewhere.
Nice theatre experience. Artsy movies. My kind of place
Lovely movie theater inside a lonely shopping mall.
This theater shows a lot of Indie movies that you will not find in the bigger movie theaters. This movie theater is on the 4th floor inside the old Century shopping mall, yes I do remember the century shopping mall. Prices are decent and they recently upgraded their seats. We go here for a lot of movie screenings especially the offbeat ones that you won't find in the general theaters. I have never experienced a crowded movie at this theater when purchasing a regular ticket. Parking is non-existent streetwise, but they do have a parking garage where if you get your ticket validated by the cashier at the bar you only have to pay $5 which is a bargain considering how hard it is to find parking in the area.
Consistently interesting and important selections of films, very comfortable theaters, friendly, competent staff, and a quiet, comfortable bar to talk about movies! I love this theater! Good restaurants right across yhe street, too. City living!
Honestly slept-on movie theater. Everytime I go there I just fall in love with the indie movies they play and their overall layout and service. One of the top theaters in Chicago by far.
Cool theatre, staff acts weird to people of color tho...
It was ok.A little cramped. However the movie was really good.great acting by Crow, and kidman!!
Not a huge fan of the "leather" seats but otherwise a decent theatre. Also no slushies. Good popcorn though.
Great movie theater, never too full, great movie selection
Great movie theater, though I wish they would upgrade to better seats (my dream is for them to have the recliners, but really I just don't love their seats and think they could be improved). I like the size and availability of movies here, since they tend to show movies I enjoy.
Great movie selection.
Good theater located on the top floors of the Century Mall with more independent-type movies and the occasional blockbuster (e.g. Avengers, Star Wars). Some theaters have been updated with reclining seats, but others still have regular movie theater seats. There is a bar for pre- / post- movie drinks.
My favorite movie theater in the city. Unique indie flicks that you can't find anywhere mixed with solid blockbusters. The staff is lovely l. I appreciate that they don't check your bags (which is silly) like Regal.
Great movie selection. Get some rare ones here
Great movie theater.
This theater is right by where I live so it is my #1 go to for all my movies. I have to say that the selection over the last few months has been very stagnant. I would like to see new movies shuffled in more frequently. A few of the movies playing now have been there for months and the selection in general lately has been very lacking. As a longtime and frequent patron, can we please try to mix up the selections and add new movies more frequently? Thank you
Great convenient location with parking ($5 after validation) amazing movie selection, cool crowd and stuff, clean cozy modern and now with a bar. A+++++
Amazing screens, seats and theatre. Awesome selection of films...
Landmark century theater is Chicago's premier cinema. They always feature the the popular Indy films circulating abuzz their unique stories, foreign subjects and languages and if it's a good film, some obtuse, strangeness to wrap it all up in. Oh, it also has a full bar with lounge. If you get past the ghost mall it occupies, I promise you, you can't pick a bad movie. They're all worth checking out!
Fun theater in a shopping mall. Comfy seats. Convenient location. Works with moviepass now!
Great spot. Go here for any movie you like
Great staff, clean and modern premises and good movie selection. Super recommended.
The plaza isn't what it use to be. The retail stores are gone! There's still a gym, hair salon, a car rental and the movie theater that shows very selective movies. So it's basically empty inside. I'm not sure what the owners have planned for the available space, but I hope something gets decided soon.
I love the weird, winding, maze-like feel this theater has.
Nice theater the don't run all the mainstream films in favor of artsy films so check before you go.
THE place to see indie films. Nearby validated parking is a plus.
easy parking in the lot next door and discounted when you get your parking tag validated at the theater. our seats reclined!
This theater plays a great mix of indie and blockbuster films, accepts MoviePass etickets, and has a cool bar area . Too bad someone thought it would be a good idea to put an axe throwing area on the ground floor, where it echos up through every single theater on the top floors. Which you'll be reminded of every time there's a quiet moment in your film.
This is a very friendly, small scale theater with great staff, an interesting movie selection that includes blockbusters as well as more art house-like features and a pleasant atmosphere.
I went there when the whole building was the Century Theater, one huge screen and loads of seats, one movie at a time. The last movie I saw there was Andromeda Strain. 1971 Then they demolished the inside and made the multiple screen thing. Then some years later they did that again. Updates etc. along the way and it got to the theater/mall it is now. It is loads better now. Parking is good. Good selection of movies. Nice remodel job.
Clean and great popcorn
Great cinema to see the great pictures!
Comfortable, clean, easy access for wheelchairs, ample parking. On the top floor of Century Shopping Mall. Many vacancies. Take steps, ramp or elevators from floor to floor. Building was rennovated. Has facade of original Century Theatre intact.
Landmark Century Theater on Clark Street in Chicago is one to f my favorite movie theaters. It is very near my home so I go there often. I was wondering I use to use the app Fandango to look up movie times and to see what was playing. I knew I could not buy tickets through Fandango. Why isn’t your movie theater listed on Fandango anymore? Other small non chain theaters are.

Awesome. I love the seats. Large, comfy, and plenty of leg room
Not as good as Webster theatre but it will do the trick.
This theater badly needs a renovation. The seats were way too close together.
Theater seats are very comfortable and roomy. Nice bar to enjoy waiting for the film to stay and parking was easy and, once galliard by theater, affordable.
This is a quirky little theatre. It’s up on the top floor of a building with the theaters all spread out on the floor. It was nice and clean with good picture quality.
Aveda is one of my favorite places for gifts and services.
The theater is at the top level of what always seems to me to be a quiet, empty shopping mall. The theater itself is fantastic. The movie choices are unique - a combination of arts movies, mainstream films, and Academy Award nominees.
A pipe burst on the roof and water was GUSHING through a hole in the ceiling that ran down the ramps on every parking level. It was treacherous!!!!!
Landmark Century is the best place I've ever been to watch a movie. It's super comfy, the crowd is quiet and respectful, the staff is cool and so is the bar. The building is impressive too, with a wonderful spiraling walkway that sets the mood for film. I feel lucky to live close to it.
Cool theater in a fun part of the city!
My boyfriend and I always come to this theater! They don't have a lot of movies to choose from, but the space is cool, the stadium seats have reclining chairs, and it's a cozy spot for a date night.
Clean theaters and bathrooms
Love the films shown here! Regular theater, not the kind with reclining armchairs; stadium seating. Good popcorn, perhaps too wet with butter.
I really like this theater. It's strange to me that it's where it is but the people are always nice and the movies show well. You also get a chance to see movies you otherwise may not be able to.
Always loved Landmark. Great films you often can't see in every theater. However, Bad Axe has opened in the basement of the building and there was constant thudding of axes being thrown during the movie in Theater 2. Horrible interruption of the enjoyment of a film. Not sure what theater owners can do about it as building owner apparently thinks it's OK to pretty much ruin Landmark's business.
Great selection of foreign, art and independent films. Pretty high prices and not the most comfortable seats. The concessions are fairly high end.
Nice theater, reasonable ticket prices. I did not partake of food or drink there, so I cannot comment on the refreshments, but the bar was active and offered lots of variety. Parking is close by, you can walk directly to the floor where the theater is located in the Century Center from the parking garage, and with the validated parking it costs only $6.00, and that, in Chicago, is a bargain!
This is probably my favorite theater in Chicago. They do a good mix of popular new films as well as indie titles. It has always been pretty clean and comfortable in my experience. Bar is decent. Great location.
Efficient ticketing online or at theater. Pleasant staff. Comfortable seats. Good selection of films. Covered parking at reasonable price. Nearby restaurants. What more could you want?
Good place to enjoy a movie and not worry about parking
Nice clean updated place. Doesn't run all the mainstream movies favoring artsy films.
I've come to really appreciate this theater. Generally clean with a friendly staff and all of the good Indies.
I like the variety of movies played here. Staff are friendly. Seats are comfortable. It would be great place to bring a date or a group. Their is the a Bad Axe down stairs. Also Game night above that. And if you like Empanadas just down the street. Or Crepes at La Crepere down and across the street.
Dip off spot. Very great films are shown here. Arthouse films
Favorite plan e to see a movie. Great location with discounted garage parking. Clean theater with mature patrons for an excellent movie experienice (no cackling teens or idiots on their phones....). Really good popcorn, nice people that work there and LOVE the bar area; nice to hand and discuss the movie you just saw
The atmosphere is very Evanston, kind of proper but also happy. It's clean and the acoustics have been great every time I have seen a show here.
I always enjoy coming to this theater to watch a movie that's not mainstream. Very clean, and handicap accessibwith ramps for most of the theaters. Comfortable seating.
Great clean theater, one of the few in the area. Good variety of snacks. Prices are as expected. Parking garage close by as well.
Staff are friendly and helpful but the cinema is aging. Seats are not comfortable and not very clean. A bit understaffed also and with lots of commercials before the featured film. Yes, it started late.
They play some really great indy movies here. Plus, they added a bar recently
The seats are pretty comfortable, the popcorn was good. The coffee was only so-so.
A great location, excellent seating and a clean theater.
Decent theatre overall. The floor of the theatre itself either was ripped up, or just hasn’t been redone in a long, long time. Not a big deal, but just noticeable is all. Cool location, good selection of movies and show times. A Chicago staple.
I love the movie options at this theater. Great indie movies. Absolutely the best theater popcorn I've had of any theater in Chicago. Seats aren't super comfortable. They recline too far back.
This place is funny and cool. Nice bar too.
I love this Landmark Theatre. They are always showing a great selection of films, many of which are not available at other theaters in the area, and they have incredibly comfortable seating. Huge perk is the movie price, which is a few dollars cheaper than the other chain theaters in the area, and M-Th they have student pricing. Their popcorn is fresh (very important to this movie-goer) and they offer free flavor toppings. Plus they have refills on large sodas and they even have a bar if you want to bring a drink in to the theatre with you.
Whoa when did this place get renovated. It's nice not having to sneak beer in from the CVS that was downstairs. Great screens, good sound.
Dr ruth and redJoan made great double feature
This is one of my favorite theaters. They run interesting movies, often specializing in indie flicks. But you can still see some major blockbusters here from time-to-time (I saw avengers endgame and toy story 4 here). Popcorn is solid. Theaters are always very clean. And the best part, they poor the TALLEST beers and you can take them into the movie with you. A+ place for a chill movie night.
Clean and good selection of films. Parking available for a price. Parking validation.
nice and clean theater
Good if pricey
Very nice facility with smaller theaters. The bar area is very comfortable as well.
It's so weird wuth all the ramps. The theaters are nice. Seats are comfy. It has a bar.
Great cinema..! Confortable seats
Looks like fun but I haven't tried it myself - had to give it a rating. It's located in the lower level of the Century Centre Cinema, it's a small shopping center with an attached parking garage.
Overall: Landmark gets the job done and is a neighborhood staple, but there are still improvements that could be had. The good: Always a great selection of non-big-budget films, with a few sprinklings of some blockbusters (say, Star Wars). And, a ton of indie films as well. They have a good selection of snacks and drinks available, including some deluxe items. Service is always friendly. The not-so-good: I've heard they have reclining seats, but I have yet to sit in any. Compared to heavy-hitters like some AMCs, Landmark could use an update. Also, I feel like a prune, but their bathrooms have the deplorable old-school hand dryers, which are really annoying. Atmosphere: 7/10 Service: 8/10 Food: 8/10
Best selection of mainstream and Indy films anywhere in Chicago!
One of my very favorite theaters in Chicago. I stalk this theater's showtime daily since I know I can catch films here that won't be shown anywhere else.
Place really needs an update. Great films play here. Organic popcorn would be great. No GMO s
Interesting repurposing of space which includes a shopping center and eateries with convenient, though pricey, attached parking. Great for inclement days. Biggest drawback is lack of signage. The employees are quite helpful with directions but more and better signs would be helpful. Refreshments are limited but reasonably priced.
LAVISH! The dine-in theater is nothing new but this theater is next level. So much room to spread out and seats with no light between them are perfect for couples. We had an amazing experience, if it wasn't for the limited movie options we'd come here every time.
Amazing staff, great theatre, great beverage service, with great movie options. I saw short animation & short action films, before Academy awards & so happy to have seen them. Great artistic work
Really screen and sound quality over here
Theater is in a very good location East Lakeview location accessible by CTA Clark, Diversey or Broadway busses. Theater seating is comfortable. The access through the mall features rather dismal decor. The elevator is convenient and there are steps or a ramp after getting off the elevator. There is parking if traveling by auto. Washrooms basic and reasonably clean with the usual splashed water all over the sink counters. My friend and I enjoyed our experience seeing “Star is Born” and I would go to The Landmark Theater again. Tickets were reasonably priced for the city.
I want to love this theater. I really do. The theaters themselves are nice and the popcorn is good (expensive, like all theaters, but good). The staff is super nice. But the walk thru the abandoned mall to get to the theater is...eery.
This is a very nice and quaint movie theater they also validate your parking to save you money.
The theatre is decent albeit overpriced drinks
Love it. Best place for a wonderful outing
Used to go to this theatre all the time when I lived in the neighborhood. Went back for the first time in a while and loved the addition of a full bar and the ability to drink while watching a movie
Still the best theater for non mainstream movies in the city. Convenient cheap parking in the building. Some screens have reserved oversized, reclining seats.
Best popcorn around!! Real butter used.. omg just the best!!
I enjoyed my self food prices were good for a movie theatre
I love this theater! A great bar area, friendly staff comfortable seating and great selection of movies! The exterior is quite interesting too architecturally significant!
One of the best movie theaters in Chicago, I think. It's always clean there and people that work there seem very professional.
My favorite theater to go to! I especially love that there’s a bar area with good drink prices and options, and decent food. Nice area to hangout in before you go in for your movie. First come first serve seating. Comfortable seating. Great sound. My go to theater.
Recently went there to see the movie Wind River. Because of the way the screen was laid out I had to sit towards the middle in order to get a good view of the movie. Other than that, the movie was easy to view and the sound was crystal clear. The seat was relatively comfortable and I enjoyed an unobstructed view. Although I didn't buy any popcorn this time around, in the past I like to buy theirs because it's a higher-quality popcorn than what you usually get at most theaters, it's also fresh and best of all they give you a lot of it!
Great selection if sometimes hard to find films in a comfortable, well maintained theater.
shows cool movies and has a decent bar
Beautiful cinema, comfy seating, friendly staff.
Went to Douglas J to help out as an educator because I work for the company. Students are willing to learn and the place is growing. I'm excited to see how well they do in the future
Always love the grown up crowd. Nice bar area helps to meet your friends. Clean ,close to restaurants and public transportation.
Would give it 4 stars for the amenities... great bar, lots of $ parking, axe throwing on the lower level; but the seats are so cramped, cramped enough to lose 1 star. Especially when now a days there are so many theaters with bars and huge reclining seats but no axe throwing. Any way, decent movie theater with axe throwing on the lower level... axe throwing.
Went to see The Mustang... Nice size theater. CLEAN. SOUND SYSTEM O.K., BUT A LITTLE TOO MUCH DISTORTION...
They have renovated the bar area. The seats are comfortable and all the theaters are wheelchair accessible with an elevator in the building.
A good place to chill and have drink with a friend before you go watch a movie. Friendly staff at the bar and drinks were good too. It s nice that they have the parking right next to the century Mall and it s easy to get to the theater right from the parking lot.
Pros: Great theater tucked inside of Chicago's historic Century Mall. The facilities are great, a bit compact, but what's one to expect when inside of a high rise mall. The staff is very friendly, which is always great. Ticket buying is for the most fully automated with ticket spewing kiosks, I don't recall seeing a box office so bring your debit card, or buy tickets beforehand online or via app before arriving to avoid potential lines. I live that you can find "artsy", Oscar contender type films readily at this there. There's a bar adjacent to the concessions stand, and one has the freedom to take an alcoholic drink with while viewing a film. There were no issue with other moviegoers being noisy, or using electronics, everyone was highly respectful of the viewing experience. The movie theater was clean, my feet didn't stick to the floor and their mini Lazyboy chairs are very comfortable. The parking garage is exceptionally convenient since street parking is extremely limited, and for the few parks along the street, there are no parking meters along that stretch of Clark Street to pay. I searched up, down and around the block for a meter to pay, and ultimately ended up being ticketed, hence use the parking garage if you intend to drive. Plus the theater's garage is much less expensive than a $50 dollar City of Chicago parking ticket entrapment. Cons: Expensive, but that higher costs are found away nearly all theatre's these days.
Very cool place. Axe throwing, a bar, a movie theater, and other places that typically open/close in the earlier hours of the day. Its never immensly crowded here so getting a movie ticket isn't an arduous wait.
very nice theater with comfortable seats. we went to an afternoon show and it was not crowded at all.
It locates in a real good hood. But I do not know why they always choose a lot of minority films and indie films. You expected to see some amazing pictures and imagination on big screens, it would only give you something good but you would like to watch on TV.
Sometimes rare films. Large popcorn is TOO big!
Great 5th floor movie theatre large screens, amazing sound quality with vibrant concession area and cozy seating. Inside mall tower.
My poor rating has more to do with how they destroyed the Century. Was a beautiful Opera house was a wonderful mall. Did they need escalators inwhitch destroyed the look . Anyway I learned the reality that people will do as they please. We only have the memories.
I've never had a bad experience here. The theatres are spacious with comfortable seating. Clean and well kept. The bar serves a nice selection of cocktails, and the few times I've ordered, they bartender had been generous
nice spot to come on weekend and watch new movies
Clean and well maintained theater. Nice selection of food and drinks.
Has great movies here. Saw Downton Abbey. Also has a bar and you can take your drinks into the theater.
