Classic Saturday night at the movies, parking was crazy and so was the ticket line. The concessions stand wasn't so bad and neither was the theater itself. The commercials ran for 35 mins which was a little irritating but the movie was good overall not too bad of an experience

Used to be better under old management. Nowadays they have very little staff in the concessions area. Still a good theater, though. They have low ticket prices and a good selection for concessions. Occasionally they'll have events like playing a different Studio Ghibli film every month. As a big fan of anime, I really enjoy these kinds of things.

My shoes were sticking to the floor while finding my seat.. Previews were in green and pink until they fixed it. Don't know if I'll bring kids back it cost 170 for 5 kids 2 adults. Movie was awesome though.

I love that we have an accessible IMAX now, but the majority of the staff and the GM here stink. The only reason I'll go now is if scheduling doesn't allow me to get to Sunnyland, who has better pricing, better staff, and cleaner bathrooms. The assistant managers here are good people, but they can't fire the worthless, rude employees at the counter and can't fix the reality of the dreadful GM who doesn't even seem to like movies. If you can make the drive, go to Sunnyland. If you want to see a very large screen without paying the outrageous price at the Riverfront Museum, this is a decent option. Just don't get the regular popcorn; you'll be sick at least through the next day.

They did a good job clearing the snow and salting to clear the ice outside. Like the previous reviewer, I have to say that whoever is supposed to clean just isn't doing it. And this was a nicely maintained facility under previous owners. Tonight, the ladies restroom was a mess. Otherwise it's a good place to see a movie, even though it's a little more expensive than the competition.

Seats are comfortable however, as often as we go to this theater and as expensive as it is the popcorn is not fresh, the butter dispensers are broken, the soda machines have no ice, or several soda's are out. sometimes the theater has only one side that has a working butter dispenser and soda machine. The bathrooms are out of toilet paper, out of paper towels and soap. Just seems like it needs some serious maintenance. The theater picture and quality of the sound is great hence 3 stars. Get the maintenance issues in order and I would give it 5.

Spent $100 for family to go to movies. Management and staff would not allow our 17 yo to go to a R rated movie. Then followed my husband around to make sure he went with her. Ridiculous and poor management practices. Theater was empty. No wonder why.

This place is pretty big so they always have the movie you want to see. They have the special limited edition movies that don't play in smaller theaters and they have comfortable seats that don't make you numb after an hour sitting in them.

We’ve been to this theater hundreds of times over the years. We remember when it first opened. Started out as “Rave Theatre”, then it was called “Carmike Theater”, now it’s “AMC”. I must say it’s really gone downhill. It used to be really top notch. The last dozen times we’ve been there, total filth! Restrooms, Hallways and the Theaters, trash everywhere! Carpets are stained and we have had trouble finding seats to sit in that weren’t dirty and/or stained. And popcorn and other garbage all over the floors. Who wants to watch a movie surrounded by filth! Yes, the public are filthy slobs and don’t pick up after themselves but come on AMC! It’s your place to keep clean! Shampoo the carpets, replace the seats and deep clean the restrooms! We won’t go back until it gets cleaned! We’d rather wait and rent the movie and watch in our clean home. * To sum it up, the place is a filthy dump.

Screen and sound quality is probably best in the area, but my goodness do you pay for it. Compared to other theater houses in the area, I literally paid 3 times as much for a matinee, small popcorn, and small soda. I wanted to rate it higher for the quality, but the difference in price is just not even close to worth it. I won't be coming back.

I’ve been to MUCH better theaters in Chicago (for cheaper and big leather reclining Chairs that were standard in those theaters (which is why I’d give those theaters a 5 star, and these ones not) It’s your standard place and not better than normal ones you’d expect especially considering it’s a newer building and all too, but slacks off toward the later in the day. With the cleanliness in the theatres Prices are but high but I’d be willing to spend that or more at the theatres in the city which I mentioned earlier that are wayyyyy better. But don’t have many options in Peoria and this is your best option unfortunately.. Long story short: It’s mediocre at best, does not go above the normal at all, and prices do not meet expectations you’d have for the price, instead making you feel like you’re overpaying.

Unfortunately over the years and having several owners the quality, cleanliness, and appearance is more than lacking. Of course the IMAX is great, but you'd think with $20 per large popcorn & drink they could afford to do some maintenance.

We just left, went to the 4:50 Dumbo show, my wife, 3 kids and myself, the bathrooms were disgusting, my wife had to go past 5 before there was one clean enough for our kids, ,the back concession area was covered in spilled soda when we came, and left the movie, the front drink machines were pouring water, and the theatre itself was filled with trash. And after the movie ended no lights came on, leaving us to walk blindly down the stairs with 3 kids. Wish i could give zero stars... This was a horrible experience minus the movie being good.

On December 30th my family and I went to see and 8:50 showing of Ferdinand. The service for the ticket booth was great! However our theater did not get cleaned. There were popcorn buckets, drink cups, popcorn thrown all over, and very sticky floors. The people a few rows in front of us even had to move old cups so they could sit in seats. For the price of tickets the place should be clean! We normally don't go to this theater, but in years past when we had it was always a good experience. It's gone down hill since then. Please clean up the theater!!

I've watched dozens of movies all over the area and even though AMC costs just a little more, it's worth it. Their IMAX and 3D theaters are clean, huge, and loud, just like they should be. We finally watch Jurassic World 2 and enjoyed every bit of it! Thanks.

I went to go see star wars imax and I wasn't disappointed. The seats lay back and even though we had to sit so far up front it was lovely. Just wish the price for popcorn and such wasn't so expensive. there was 7 of us so no problems with sitting next to others or reserving seats.

This place is a bit dated compared to when it opened 17 yrs ago, no updates,was visiting from out of state for the holidays and my theater was filthy, popcorn all over the floor and trash in cupholders. The seats are original and not very comfortable and dirty. No electric recliner like most amc theaters have these days . Looked like 2003 .Was disappointed.

This is a great theater to catch a show. Lots of choices to choose from. As with all movie theaters the prices are high but that seems to be the standard everywhere. This theater is big and clean. They have lots of show times to fit your needs. They have Unlimited refills from the new Coke self serve machines with lots of custom flavors. They have added some bigger food items. I'm not sure how that's working out. Potentially this could be messy but we'll see.

Con's: No one to check/scan tickets once inside 2nd set of doors, not enough staff at snack/drink counter. 10 to 12 minute wait is too long when buying just 2 drinks and 1 bag of candy. Very much enjoyed the movie! Seats were comfortable. Decent prices. Not happy with the 20 minutes of advertising prior to the movie. 20 whole minutes after the start time of the movie. This was rude and took advantage of the movie goers as you had to sit through them, because the actual start time was not when the movie played. Again it's rude! These movies are advertised everywhere! Can we not do this or at least have them prior to the movie start time.

I always enjoy going to this theater and seeing the newest movies. Staff is friendly and always willing to help. I'm a stubs reward member and it has paid for itself with ticket and concession discounts. This last movie we saw we had movie jumpers come in the last half of movie and talking loudly and on phones. I talked to the manger Chad about the issue and he addressed it as any manager should. We will be going back next week and for many more movies!!

Its okay. Definitely better than Landmark, but it is a bit outdated and needs a good remodel. The seats are pretty beat up and stained. The first one I sat in had a broken off cup holder. The second had stains all over it which, even if it is just a stain, no one really wants to sit on. The interior also looks pretty old. The neon party room (?) Has huge tube TVs in it. Weird. The screen and audio quality seemed pretty good. No noticable weirdness (like Landmark) to an average moviegoer. The snack and drink selection here is huge, but it is not a dine-in. No alcohol. No recliners.

Stadium seating is the best feature and reason that we come here frequently. I would have given them five stars but recently they have changed over from preparing the popcorn for you to a Serve Yourself method which is messy and inconvenient. The people behind the counter know better how much butter to put on a bucket than the average individual who winds up messing it up. Also, despite their workers best efforts to keep it clean it still becomes immediately messed up and not very sanitary looking. Hopefully they will go back to the counter staff preparing the popcorn but this appears to be the trend

The wife and I spent over $60 dollars on drinks, popcorn, and tickets to watch an OK movie that will be on Netflix in about three months. Not sure if it was really worth it. The theater was cool, clean,and comfortable BUT so is my house. The bathrooms could use a little work and I am not sure the employees know how they get paid. I understand that the employees are high school kids but customer service is customer service.

Went to the 1030 am showing of Avengers and all the trashcans were overflowing (inside and out), many of the soda options were unavailable, the lids were empty, and no napkins in the dispensers (and when I told a worker, his response was to go to the other side). I would have thought to have a cleaner experience for such an early showing. Show quality was great .

A nice theater: comfortable seating, clean throughout, nice sight and sound. The concession stand now have all sort of snack foods if you're not in buttered movie popcorn (mmm). Usually no wait for tickets. They could have more help at the consession. The best day to go if you dont like the high ticket price is Tuesday.

Really nice looking place to go for a movie. The screens are quite large compared to some of the other local theaters. It is also in a safe location unlike some of the other theaters. It is by and far the cleanest place you can go to too. All those wonderful things for just a few dollars more per ticket. Is it worth it? You decide. For me, it is. Enjoy the show!

Arrived about 10 min before showtime for Mission Impossible at 3:40 (so 3:30). The line took about 15 min to get through, so just build in some time for fix. The theater was awesome, just be sure to bring a sweater if you get cold easily!

NO POPCORN!!!!! So, I've never really been a huge fan of AMC Grand Prairie because I feel like they're overpriced & their seats aren't very comfortable. But my better half insisted on them since he wanted to see the show in IMAX & no other AMC had it. I have one of those refillable popcorn buckets, and when I went back out to the concession stand, ALL OF THE POPCORN WAS GONE!!! We'd gone to a 6:30 show and it was only 7:15. Another movie had just started at 7, so I have no idea how they could rationalize breaking the concession stand down that early. The refillable buckets guarantee a refill on every visit. Very misleading marketing.

The lady at box office was very friendly and quick, the ticket taker was courteous and fast, the concession area was another story, half a dozen employees laughing and carrying on behind the counter, I stood there with my family to be waited on while there were no other customers lined up, one approached us and rang us up to a whopping $51, then after paying she then tells me that they do not have 4 hot dogs ready for our order, stating that they were still frozen, I let her know I was not happy about that & that should of been checked on or communicated with other staff prior to paying for our order to have opportunity to order something else because by then I told her we were going to be late for the movie if we stayed to wait for food to be ready, she offered to bring them to our theater room, we got our drinks and went to our assigned theater, after sitting for 20 minutes I went to concession counter & they were just boxing up the hot dogs, she apologized for our wait but by then that apology was meaningless, how can they not have hot dogs ready for purchase? Why can't their concession staff communicate better? Could of been a much better experience for our family outing

Not a bad theater but very understaffed. There was no one to scan our online tickets and only two visible employees, both behind the concessions counter. Thankfully our son works at a AMC at home so he scanned it. The theater was clean and the staff was very polite. The cost was a bit much for what you get but ok. The seats are old style but still comfortable. A good experience overall.

It's a shame that AMC had to come out with the "Classic" tier aka the lowest quality theaters. There is no longer a point to buying stubs membership since you decided to get rid of all the discounts for the classic theaters. $5 Tuesday is advertised as a perk to stubs membership, but when the regular price is $5.99 it doesn't really mean anything. No longer get any discount on concessions so the program is useless. I would consider their new top tier program if you could buy multiple tickets for one show rather than 3 per week. Is that really even practical for anyone? We used to go almost every Tuesday, but not any more. I hope that the loss of patrons on Tuesdays is greater than whatever you save by cutting discounts so maybe rethink the program.

I don't have the best opinion of AMC Grand Prairie but was pleasantly surprised by our recent visit. The ticket purchasing process is a bit cumbersome but the quality was great and the price for the matinee was very reasonable. I enjoyed my experience there enough where I will actually give it more chances in the future. I'll just need to be extra early to the movie cuz it takes extra time to get your ticket.

This place used to be really nice when it was Rave Motion Pictures. Then it was bought out by Carmike Cinemas, then it was bought out again by AMC. Since AMC bought it, the business has steadily gone downhill. The drapes that hang on the walls in the theaters are falling off the walls and are all water stained. Management decided to put the theater lights on some sort of timer. The lights stay on throughout the showing of trailers and are supposed to dim when the movie starts. Yeah. That never happens.

These events have taken place multiple times over mulltiple screenings of movies. The projector turns off, the ticket printer doesn’t work, the machine to scan online tickets doesn’t work, the actual theater was filthy, and the people at the register once left a lane open, so about 15 people were stacked in the line waiting for someone to help them. They had one person running a different lane and another free person, this person, the manager of the theater, walked around doing nothing while these people waited to be served. They eventually filed into the other line. Overall poor quality to the theater. Projectors turn off frequently, and it’s filthy.

I love seeing movies at this venue. The young people who work here are all very nice. They keep the theaters tidy, and always respond quickly to concerns about the comfort level of the theater, whether it be a simple adjustment of the thermostat or asking another group to keep the noise down.

They don't seem to clean after every showing like they used to. I went to go see deadpool and there was popcorn and dirty napkins all over the floor.

Great popcorn. Love all the soda options. Do not like the fact that staff was unaware on how to give us the best value for our family. And not all combo options are advertised. Picture was great. And there was hardly anyone in our theater which I guess is good for us but not sure about them.

I enjoy seeing movies here because of the large screen size and comfortable seating but the customer service lacks heavily. I've been to much shittier theaters (AMC sunnyland) and been served twice as fast if not faster. They don't seem to care at all that your movie started 5 minutes ago and they will go ahead with the conversation with the person in front of you. Other than that I enjoy seeing movies here.

It is a great place to watch a movie but you pay double the amount compared to any of the other movie theaters in Peoria. Nachos and a drink was 11 buck plus the $10.49 ticket to watch a non 3D movie.

It was a good experience overall. Fair warning, they have chicken and waffles on the menu, but no one orders it so they weren't sure how to make it. They ended up delivering our food to us in our seats. Never seen them do this before, but it was a nice touch.

Waiting for your 4k digital projection. IMAX is Cool but not 3D, good sound though! Condiments were slightly high it cost me 11 for the IMAX, but 15$ for a small
