This Movie Theater corresponds to the category of Movie theater.
It's not much, but it's all we got.
Always nice and clean
Pricey but what movies aren't these days
Really friendly employees, comfy seating great selection of food and drinks, always showing the newest and best movies.
Needs updating
Average theater.
Clean and good service. Good sized screen as well.
It's an older small town theater. Sound system not so great. However the young staff was very friendly and attentive. The all you can eat popcorn and drink options are a great deal. The wide selection of free popcorn flavorings is great especially the nutritional yeast!
Other than the lack of middle seating, not a bad little theater. Tickets aren't priced too badly either.
Poor sound system, not crisp, muffle tones, dated.
The staff are amazing. If you ask me it's extremely pricey just to go see a normal movie that's been out for like 2 weeks. The candy is like four bucks for like a little Skittle pack. Knowing me I sneak in my candy. I've actually been to a movie theater that searches you for food that you're bringing in. So I can't complain Bonner Mall Cinemas isn't that bad.
We were in theatre #2. There was a golden stain right in the middle of the screen. Very distracting! Why were we charged full price, $8, when the room we were in is broken. Fix your theatre or lower your prices to match the quilt given.
I really enjoy the theater and I only wish they had more theater and more movies playing
Comfortable, with current movies and rarely full, at least the matinees.
Why isn't Hillarys America showing obviously owners don't want the truth out will not go back, show the movie people have a right to choose if they want to see it or not
I have to say I have been going to this movie theatre sinse I was like 7 and its an ok movie place
Best in the area. Nothing too large or extravagant, but they are a bigger screen than you'll get at home. Popcorn is good, sodas are cold. Can't have every movie, but the popular ones are usually there. If you want more than a mall theater, go to CDA.
First run movies good popcorn great prices and very convenient
Kids enjoyed it
Great homely theatre, and good prices. Almost never crowded
local and convenient.
It's a rural community with limited resources. But the theater was good.
Friendly staff.
A bit pricy but the staff is nice and the new seats are great.
It was clean and not over crowded. The prices are reasonable too.
Not crowded and easy to get to
Great little theater, popcorn was too salty, chairs could use headrests.YEA!!!! SEATS HAVE BEEN REPLACED!!!!
It was a good movie theater. I don't know why but it wasn't warm so I was cold. The screen is kind of small.
Just small and not very clean and not up to date. Otherwise the workers were very friendly and the movie was great
You can hear the movie playing in the theatre next too you! Talk about killing the experience!
This theater has disapointed me GREATLY on multiple occasions! The latest mistreatment I suffered at their hands was the last straw, and I do not intend to ever go back. For the release of New Moon, myself and a group of friends and co-workers came to an arrangement with the manager of the Bonner Mall Cinemas. The deal was, that if we bought at least 15 tickets in advance, we would be given VIP treament and be allowed to enter the theater through the back 30 minutes before showtime. That's it... just being allowed to find our seats, which we prepaid for in bulk, before they opened the doors. This was not a private screening. We prepaid for 32 tickets two weeks in advance. 2 days before the showing, but after our check had cleared, the manager informed us that the deal was off and that we would have to wait in line. We were told that we were not even allowed to save a place in line for the group! The manager of this establisment needs to be fired! This is not the first disapointment. I have have been to many showings where the picture fuzzed, and was not fixed until customers left their seats to complain! During a viewing of Iron Man there were faint lines down the center of the screen for the entire movie. Then at the end I stayed through all of the credits to see the special sneak peek, only to have the picture go out as soon as the sneak peek began! The staff always appear more interested in each other than in any needs of the customers, and have been downright rude on several occasions! On one occasion they refused to refill my "bottomless" tub of popcorn because the credits were rolling in the movie I'd seen. Wrost business decision I've ever heard. Just give me the extra quarter worth of popcorn, which I spent $5.50 on, and keep me as a customer! I can tell you that, after this treatment, Bonner Mall Cinemas has lost at least 32 customers, who will now drive to Couer D' Alene for all of their movie viewing.
Friendly and helpful also clean
It's lower quality but more expensive than a discount cinema. Generally dirty and the staff is not friendly. They get movies days to weeks later than other cinemas as well
Convenient, friendly, fast. Not only do they accept MoviePass, but will let you upgrade to 3D showings by paying the difference. The theater chairs are comfy; each seat has retractable armrest equipped with cup holders. Free refills on popcorn are included with the largest size, and there is an extensive array of magical flavoring dust to enhance that.
Plenty of snack options and movies.
Staff is always friendly and helpful! Theatres are small but they just upgraded the seats and they’re much nicer! We come every time we’re in sandpoint.
We stopped by this theater after a day of skiing powder at Schweitzer Mountain Resort. What a wonderful addition to the day. We were greeted by friendly staff, with a nice snack bar selection. The theater seats were also quite comfortable, after a long day on the mountain. It was nice to have a large selection of popcorn seasonings, to add to our bottomless tub. Thank you, Bonner Mall Cinemas. We'll be back, for sure!
Overall the movie theater is nice and quiet and small. The selection of movies can be lacking hence the 4 stars. The popcorn is literally world class. I honestly do not know how they do it but it's perfect. No need to add butter or salt.
Love the movies
It was good but there are not many seats in the theater and it's a little messy.
Great little cinema with 3D and great sound for a small town.
Nice cozy local theater!
For a small town theater this one has tried to keep up with the time. Excellent movie choices and awesome showing times. The seats are outdated but are comfy in my opinion. Just bring a pillow :)
Watch new movies the day they come out In theater....cause its literally at movie theater.
Only theater within miles so can't complain much. Movies sometimes don't run as they say online. They are pretty good about compensation though if they mess up.
I love watching movies here. Recommended this theater to anyone.
Been in Sandpoint about five years and have to say that for a small town cinema they are doing a great job. It would be nice to see the movies and times on a sign outside the theater. Also, like everyone else says, the seats aren't great. But, I am 6'5" and most seats suck. They are slowly upgrading the place and hopefully seats won't be far off. Great service from the staff!
So disappointed: ( I try to always support our local businesses but I will not be returning to this theater. The customer service was terrible, high prices and absolutely the filthiest movie theater I have ever been to. Wear a hazmat suit! I was seriously scared I was going to get sick. Very sad for the community. The owner should take more pride in his business: (
Dated... but friendly staff.
Great
Bonner Mall Cinemas is in desperate need of some TLC, it's almost as the owners do not take any pride in this business or the work they do, the place is totally neglected. Floor tiles missing from the lobby floors, holes in baseboards, filthy ceiling tiles, dirty lobby floors, the list goes on and on. The place continues to deteriorate day by day with no upkeep. Based on the condition of the place I'm shocked by the price of $11 for a single ticket. Unfortunately there is not another theatre in town.
The layout is weird. you cannot sit in the middle because that is the way you enter the show. also a small popcorn is $4.50. But all in all small town it is ok.
Only person in the place. Like my own personal movie theater.
Why do all the new movies only have a 3D option?! Our movie club tickets don't allow for 3D, so we never get to watch the good movies. Why not offer both 3D and non 3D? Super Irritating.
Good movies
Great little Theater
I love going to this non-crowded theather... priced right tickets and friendly staff!!
Great movie theater could use a update but it the only choice so who can complain.
Great theatre
Very comfortable seats and friendly employees.
I love this theater so much! Comfy, not crowded and great quality!
The number of commercials played prior to the movie seems sacrilegious to me. To have any commercials let alone in the double digits, takes away from the overall experience. The service was very good. Good staff. Good popcorn. Seats crappy. Views of screen can be challenging. It would not take much to improve upon this movie experience and I do think the area could support a higher end theater. Any takers?
Needs some tlc, but for the only theater within 50 miles ya can't beat it
There are quite a few big name movies that never even come to this theatre. It seems like half the time I'm excited for a new movie to come out, I end up having to go to Coeur d' alene to watch it.
Comfortable chairs
Not the best but not the worst, works are nice
Current movies and great price
Nice Theatre, Not too Crowded
It was fine
Our theatre needs some upgrades.
I was bored at Mary Poppins
Good theatre and snacks.
I LOVE that they have Brewers Yeast available for your popcorn.
Great Kids working there. Small and cozy theaters.
Their online presence and information needs to be more complete, or at least, easier to find. This was my first time here, and I wasn't sure how much tickets were going to be. For adults they are currently $8 for matinee and $10 for regular price. The seats were comfortable and the movie played well.
Good popcorn
this place is a typical small community business, they make the majority of their revenue Friday and Saturday, and that is from the goodies stand, 5$ for a box of candy 11$ for a large popcorn etc they could probably make some revenue by playing local business adds prior to the screening, mixing them up with trivia questions about movies, but you sit in darkness to a dark screen until the movie starts. the staff seems friendly.
After reading reviews for this place, I was expecting the worst. That wasn't to be. The prices were reasonable, the digital projectors were bright and crisp, the acoustics were decent, and on both trips there I encountered nothing but courteous staff. My only gripe would be the seats - they're old, but I found them entirely bearable. I think a group of people banded together to trash this place based on a bad experience, but it really is not a bad small town theater at all.
Fun movie experience for the family!
Prices are outrageous. $4 for water. $4 for 7oz. package of licorice. Theatre design is horrible, the best seats in the house are the entry-way into the theatre instead of seats which means you have to sit left or right of the screen. There was popcorn on several of the seats when we walked into the theatre 25 minutes early; all while 4-5 workers stood around and talked by the snack counter. Will not return.
Great staff not as pricey as I thought it would be
I have lived in Sandpoint since 2008 and been to this theater many, many times. Is it a extravagant classy place? Well, no. But it is a typical small town theater trying to compete with theaters in the nearest neighboring cities that have much larger populations. They are making upgrades to their sound equipment and fairly recently added 3D. Yes the employees are mostly teens, but they are friendly and give the impression that they really do want to please the customer. Given these circumstances, expecting anything more is not realistic. I used to be one of those easily offended people that pushed the limits of expectations for a business and felt justified to criticize when they finally drew the line. Please don't let such reviews sway you; fortunately they are pretty easy to spot.
Love these theatre's. Price's are reasonable movies are currently new releases theatre's are clean and comfortable.
Big dissapointment today when I took my 3 kids to see the new 3d movie "Inside Out". We got there a couple minutes after the posted showtime but the girl would not sell us tickets until she filled the popcorn bin. She said....don't worry about it, there is 10 minutes of previews before it starts. She was the only worker in sight, and although the place was empty, she felt it necessary to fill the popcorn bin before selling us tickets.. secondly, the 3D glassed were all old, scratched, and dirty. We were told that is all they have. I will be heading to CDA next time I go to the movies. This place is a joke!!!
Great little theater! Nice having one so close to home:)
Great popcorn and drinks coupled with comfy seats and great projection makes this a favorite Sunday afternoon resort. Nice people, too!
Can hear other theaters through the wall
Not a bad movie theater. Not fancy but kinda nice. I just saw my third or fourth MCU movie here! Oh yeah, double Captain Marvel all the way! That's what I saw! P.S. very nice staff.
Friendly, movies overpriced but good popcorn!
Relaxing. Clean. Friendly people. Wife & I enjoyed when she was still alive. I’ll be back!
Small first run theater. clean and reasonably priced.
Great movie: Glass
Best theatre
Good seats. Lots of movie options.
Was okay, small town cinema nice people
Very happy that they now have the option of 3D, plus new seats. Only wish they allowed online ticket buying.
All main blockbusters are in 3D, with no option for regular screening. Not everyone in our family can watch 3D, so we always end up having to travel all the way to Coe'r dalene.
Great local theater! Love all the popcorn
The layout of the seating could be improved.
Great seats and generally clean.
It was not crowded
Local, easy. Sometimes I get the theatre all to myself. Upgraded seats & speakers in '15. The Hideaway bar is at the other end of the mall :)
I live in Sandpoint and that is the only cinema for a few hrs but even though that's the only cinema I've ever rlly been in kinda of but it's a very nice cinema, it is a tiny pricey but other than that it's wonderful
Good choices for movies for both Boundary and Bonner Counties
Ok movie theater. The room layout we were in had the center as the aisle. That's the best area for viewing! Poor design but good popcorn and snacks.
Nice little cinema. A little overpriced but a decent place to watch a movie.
Good place to watch movies
Food is way expensive. Tickets are a nice price though.
It's a pretty great movie theater for such a small town.
Usually dirty. Chairs broken all over the place. I wish the owner cared about upkeep and improvements.
Great theater, the staff was very friendly!
The theatre has been upgraded for the digital films, but the seats are perhaps the most uncomfortable I have ever sat in at a movie theatre. I wish they would upgrade them.
This is not a big chain theater but it's very nice. Owners just installed new seats and they are very comfortable. Personally I prefer this type of theater over the big chain theaters.
This place was a sad little ghost town of a shopping mall. On the upside, we had the whole movie theater to ourselves and the service was great. It was clean for an old theater. The prices were reasonable for a movie theater these days as well.
Matinees are the way to go here.
It's a place to see a movie,.. that's about all I can say about it. :/
Nice venue
Affordable, comfortable seating, current venue
Nice for such a small theater. They way overuse the 3D option. My family strongly dislikes 3D, yet that is the only option during prime viewing times. The new seats greatly improved the viewing experience.
Great little theater
Best movie theatre I'm ponderey
I have been going to the Bonner Mall Cinema for approximately 8 years. I have always had fantastic service. We go to the movies approximately 1 to 2 x a month. The employees are very friendly and while they maybe young they are always very helpful. They recently upgraded their screens and sound. The show prices and concession prices are substantially cheaper than the bigger theaters in CDA and Spokane. The popcorn is almost always fresh. The restrooms clean. It is a small town theater and the several bad reviews I read seem completely out of character for the atmosphere and service I have received. Approximately a year ago, we had a movies sound go very low and it was hard to hear. I went and told the manager and they fixed it right away. They were very apologetic. They did not replace my tickets, but I did not ask them to either. Perhaps if I had asked they would have. I do not know. It was about 5 minutes of a show. They did give me a replacement ticket when I took my son who was about 2 at the time to the theater and I had to leave because he was scared of the noise. They have also been very helpful when I take my 14 year old son and my 7 year old and they want to watch different movies. I wouldn't mind seeing some new seating. The chairs are quite old and many of the springs are stretched out and the chair leans back very far. They are not so terrible that I won't watch a movie. I would like to mention that the text show times are not always accurate.
Lots to look at. Didn't have time to see it all
Brewer's yeast for your popcorn!!!!! Sweet!!!!
Great environment
I have lived here for 10 yrs and have come to like the little place. It is bigger than the old one that was down town Sandpoint and they do a good job getting the new movies. The staff are mostly teens that do try their best and do a good job. I like this place because it is close and I like to support the local community.
Best popcorn and movie experience I have ever had. Friendly staff, great movies and comfy seats!
Theatre prices I thought were a little high, standard ticket pricing, standard soda and popcorn prices. Volume was low on the movie I watched. I will be coming back as its supporting local business and its convenience.
Great movie
A small little theater but it is fun.
I'm not from a small town, but this was the most ghetto movie theatre I've ever been to. (And I usually go to the dollar movies, so that is saying something.) The employees are all standing around "discreetly" checking their phones. They don't update their online schedule, so you might want to call before you go.
Great theatre and snacks.
Always a good showing. Comfortable. Friendly
Cute theater that could use a little updating inside although I like it as is.
Fun place to go, though I think it's much too expensive for the quality. Would make a great dollar or discount theatre.
I love movies and this is close to my town to let me enjoy them.
This is a nice little local theatre, prices werie good. The seats are very comfortable but cloth so they weren't as clean as they should be.
You need to do work on your theater. The seats are absolutely terrible. Worse theater I have ever been to but we don't have a better choice unless we drive an hour. Make it better!
We had a great time on fathers day! Clean and well run. We had visited about a week prior and didnt enjoy the movie we picked. We left after about 30 minutes and they were gracious enough to give us some coupons to come back another time. It was very much appreciated. 5 stars.
Great
We have lived in this community long enough to be appreciative of a small town atmosphere. Bonner Cinemas has grown so much and we are very grateful we don't always have to travel to CDA for a movie. They have digital, 3D, surround sound and brand new comfortable seating. The movies are always current releases. Not a lot to choose from as larger theaters have but just enough for our great community! Great and pleasant employees.
Employees are friendly and the new seats are great.
Best theater in town. Only theater in town. Can hear the movie next door on occasions.
It's a great theater, small but all the seats are new and comfy, They have special areas for wheel chairs too. Fresh popcorn and friendly staff make it a wonderful night out.
Older theater, smaller screens, but it's fine for this small town. Seats are fine. 3D movies offered. Snacks are expensive, as always.
Friendly staff. Clean theater
The theater is small, the seats are like sitting on a 2X4. Ticked prices were reasonable though.
My favorite theater, and fun, exciting employees
It was nice.
Movies,movies,movies
Decent movie theater with new-ish titles. The staff seemed a little down and upsetting but overall decent venue.
Always friendly and helpful
Love this place n the next closest theater is over an hour away. Support local or ull regret lata- it's quaint cozy n dated but hey at least it's an option
Great place!
Love the new seats. Let's get some sugar free options in for treats for those who can't have sugar. I feel guilty bring sugar free candy in for my daughter who can't have sugar. Exit signs need to be lit.
